Good location , scenic view , average food and terrible staff . The balcony had good scenic view of the light house, the cliff and the beach. When we went for dinner at the restaurant at 730 pm the whole place was full of flying insects and the staff recommended that we order room service . The food at dinner and breakfast was just average . But what was more upsetting was the ordeal at check out when the staff was asking if I took away their toiletries .After paying 17 K for a night nobody wants to walk away with that cheap stuff( medimix soap ) that you provide in the bath

If you are looking for a place where time doesn't exist- this is the place. Quiet, clean, ocean waves rocking you to sleep every night... like stepping into another world. The view from the room was amazing - you can almost touch the ocean. The rock formation just adds to the natural beauty of this property. Beach is private, so it's clean and empty. The hotel also has very well maintained pool and lounge chairs. Towels are always prepared and ready to use. You don't have to go and get them from reception. There's Ayurveda treatments offered at the hotel, which I would rate also as 5 star experience. Cleaning service is immaculate. Restaurant offers different variety of food - vegetarian and non vegetarian. I suggest taking advantage of fresh juice - they have a huge variety. Breakfast is continental/ local/ international. Water is delivered to your room upon request, and there is no limit, which can be so convenient. The staff at this hotel will go out of their way to fulfill any wish of yours to make your stay a 5 star experience. My special thanks to the reception girls- they were absolutely amazing. Everything you need is just within walking distance. Walking to the left There's a "tourist " street, by the public beach, full of shops and restaurants. Going straight and to the right- it's a way to local markets and shops, fresh juice stands, etc. But I suggest taking a tuck tuck because you'll walk uphill.

Wowww ! The reception staffs we’re too good. Complementary break fast was worth. The infinity pool was amazing. All the rooms have balcony. Sea view and side sea view. Both are good. You can enjoy the beach sound.

Excellent property overlooking the vast expance of Arabian Sea. A lighthouse to the corner adds as a gem to the great view. Rooms are very well maintained, at least so far. Private entry to the already less crowded beach and swimming pool add to great activities. Food is excellent too.

Best part of this hotel is its location. It is located right over the sea and you can watch the sea waves all day and night hitting the rocks. The lighthouse is few yards away and you can walk up to it and see it's flashing light. Room charges are very high in season, going up to Rs. 20000.00 per day per room while the normal charges are about 7000.00 per day per room.

The location was simply mesmerizing, with pristine beaches just steps away from our luxurious room. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure our comfort. We indulged in a variety of activities. The delicious coastal cuisine at their beachfront restaurant was a true delight. Undoubtedly, a perfect tropical retreat that we will cherish forever!"

Excellent and memorable. Had stayed here during September for our anniversary. The stay was super good and luxurious. It was worth every penny, the property was highly maintained and taken care off. The staff was really courteous and made us feel at home. Bathroom was really spacious, neat and smelled really nice.The food was really delicious and the view from the restaurant was truly an experience. The staff even decorated our room and gave us a surprise. We were spellbound when we saw the whole setup. The chef came personally to meet us and gave us a special dessert on our anniversary. Looking forward to have more memories with Rockholm.

Had anniversary celebrated in there. Staffs arranged specially decorated candle light dinner at their lawn. Very good service and altogether experience. Cost slightly on the upper side but worth it if you value your experience more.

This is the best property to stay in all of Kovalam! The view just cannot get any better! The staff is very pro active and they ensure all the needs are well taken care. Viji from the reception was extremely helpful. Kudos to the entire restaurant staff Sumesh (Chef), Sumesh, Ratheesh, Praveen and Lenin for ensuring great food quality and service! Also, the rooms and premises were sparkling clean! I highly recommend to stay at this property!

In all honesty I have almost chosen Leela over Rockholm because of the price, though stuck with Rockholm due to accessibility to a site I needed to frequent. Plus it covers full board so the meals became 1 less thing to be concerned about. The hotel is well maintained, managed by competent and surprisingly efficient staffs with good hearts. The reception reminded me of checking into a Maldives resort with a view of the endless horizon. Rooms were naturally cool during the day despite being enclosed from the balcony and I felt no need for AC. Maybe Leela might be more luxurious, yet Rockholm has an advantage that it’s located on a cliff next to the Arabian Sea and elevated low enough so you get close enough to the crashing of ocean waves if that “floats your boat”. I enjoyed the view from the lower floors where the restaurant is located. A strategic vantage point to the calming sea waves. The restaurant was what really impresses me as I have not expect vegetarian foods that good to take my attention from Kerala’s delicacies. So apparently Naivedya is an Ayurveda influenced restaurant. Any health conscious individuals would be able to recognise the care taken to plan the buffet menu. The dishes were unlikely to spike your blood sugar unless you deliberately intent to. They don’t overcook or over-spiced the dishes, so you could taste the natural flavours of the main ingredients. This method of cooking is not for everybody especially if your tastebuds are not tuned to natural foods. While they do have options for non-vegetarian at additional cost, I did not see the need for this as the buffets were able to fulfil my macros. With Ayurveda treatment and yoga program included in the package it’s an exceptional option for travelers looking to better their wellness.

Overpriced !! NOT worth the room rate! The place is clean and scenic but does not justify the room rate. The food is a total waste, not even one dish we ordered was good. The small restaurants down the street is far better. Can't believe that they could not make any of the dish tasty. The staff were good but the overall experience for the money paid was a total disappointment!

Best food ever had, awesome view and very clean. One of the best resort in kovalam. I suggest here if you like private beach and nice view of ocean from your room so close, then go for it. A true find. Set right beside the Arabian sea, we stayed 2 nights in a beach facing room. The rooms are clean, spacious and well stocked. The premises are maintained well and the staff are well trained and good at what they do. The breakfast spread is extensive and yummy. We also had lunch and dinner and can vouch for the efficacy of the kitchen. We utilized their Ayurveda services to get massages done and it was worth every penny. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a cost nest in Kovalam.

What a wonderful corner of the world !! The rooms are incredibly charming, and the service is impeccable! Every aspect of the space caters to relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay here was the pool and the secluded beach that only had hotel guests. What stood out was the exceptional level of service the staff gave. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Overall our stay was excellent, literally faultless, from beginning to end. There are no words to describe how breathtaking the view is. Stay here and hang out throughout your vacation since there is plenty of food, drink, and beach vibes. We will be back for sure!

It's a lovely small hotel. Right in the corner. Loved the ambince , it's unmatched. Food is ok , since we are vegetarians...the non veg ppl would probably like it better. Loved the view, the room...the small beach. Had a great stay !!

Fantastic location although the narrow road to the main entrance can be a bit tricky to find if you're visiting for the first time. The view from the room is amazing. The swimming pool facing the beach is also beautiful. The entire resort is maintained very well by the friendly staff. Front desk staff were so polite and professional. Restaurant had buffet and à la carte options. There are options for Ayurvedic massage treatments and yoga sessions. The best part for me was the private beach and rocky shore. I was able to spend hours staring at the beautiful seashore listening to the waves crashing into the rocks. We'll be going back to this resort for sure.

This is a very good small hotel on the water. We had a large room with a balcony that overlooked the ocean. The view was great and we spent a lot of time in the balcony, including during sunrise and sunsets. The folks at the reception were great as well, they always smiled and helped us as needed.

Breakfast spread was decent; however, they had more curb heavy South Indian food than the food from other regions of India. We tried some North Indian food for dinner, which was not to my liking (oily and spicy). The hotel may consider changing a bit. We had an ayurvedic massage that we enjoyed a lot but my wife felt pretty sick (vertigo) immediately following the massage. I don’t want to say that my wife’s vertigo was in anyway related to the massage but I would request the hotel management to look into the possible health issues associated with massage for some people. The hotel had two doctors who took health related information before the massage but a conservative stance could have been a better approach for us. A conservative stance would have avoided the suffering my had to endure during two flights to back home. I hope the hotel management does something so that it doesn’t happen to other travelers.

Great location, great ambiance, incredible food, spectacular view expecially from the restaurant which is edge of the rocks. If lucky you will expereince an occasional mild spray of water from the waves hitting the rocks. Great beach..you can spend hrs in total bliss jumping into the waves. Low sound decibel levels inside the room is a brilliant touch. A lot of attention to details. Built to high standards

A good experience especially if you are looking for a calm outing. You'll always have the sound of waves to your ears, which is pretty good. Good is also good and there is a pool and a private beach. A quick visit to the light house is recommended and it's just adjacent to the resort.

One of the best places to stay in Trivandrum. Get the Superior room and you shall not regret it. It has amazing beach view. Food is decent, breakfast is generous. Decent pool and private beach access. And really clean rooms.

Fantastic hotel, with great rooms, nice gardens and very good restaurant, all facing the ocean and the nice quiet beach. The hotel also offers ayurvedic treatments. Very nice location with views of the bay and lighthouse and only a short walk away from the lighthouse beach, with a little promenade and a very sheltered beach in the next bay. Stayed here for two nights. Had the most amazing view of the ocean. Felt like our balcony was right on top of the ocean. We have access to a beach which is not too crowded. This view is the best in the area. Food is superb and the hospitality is amazing. Expensive place but worth every penny.

Rockholm is a boutique hotel par excellence. The food is excellent, the ambience is one of warmth and friendliness, from the front desk to the patient wait staff in the kitchen. We had a completely relaxing time, can't wait to go back! Will try the massage the next time. I miss the ocean lullaby already.

Very scenic location. The cafe has one of the best ocean views and was a delight. Rooms are spacious with high quality furniture. The property also has a lot of authentic local artwork. The entry is underwhelming but the rest of it makes up.

I heard about this resort from a blogger through Instagram. Immediately after seeing the video posted by him , I had great interest to visit Rockholm.The superior beach view room was selected for our stay , which was mind blowing!!!! The room was exceptionally well maintained and the resort service was great.The only downside was that no other services were currently available due to Covid-19.I would highly recommend Rockholm light house beach resort !!!

Worth for one day stay. Rooms are neat and clean. Food was good. One this is that the private beach is crowded with locals and the beach area is filled with plastic wastes.
