Feeling blessed after a visit . The rumbling river and the rocky out crop provides an excellent back drop for spending a quality and quiet family time . Though it looks beautiful and inviting, the rocky area is slippery and treacherous and please ensure safety for all loved ones . For the elderly and disabled it is very difficult and the steps are also steep .

It's a good place to get some relaxation. Situated near the Aruvippuram temple, the river side is a best place to visit. There's no parking charges. The rocks are slippery at some places, be careful while step on it. The place is also not crowded.

The place is good for spending time with friends and if you are interested you can also take a bath in the neyyar river just beside the shiva temple , but take care as the river has some pretty jagged rocks and boulders, Also some spots in the river hide deep pools if you are not careful there is a chance that you may drown if you accidentally fell into these so be careful if you are entering the river

This is one of the best calm and quiet place in Trivandrum. This place is far away from Trivandrum Central. Those who have there own vehicle can easily reach to this location. The google map shows the exact locatiom. There is no specific time to visit this place. Its completely an eco friendly spot. You can come here as solo or group. The main attracrion of this place is the rocks and bannian trees. You can feel a chilled feeling even in noon. And also this is the best place to come and sit alone. No one will disturb you rather than your thoughts. Don't try to swim in the river. Its little bit dangerous.

Aruvippuram is a village in the southern district of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, India. It is famous for the Siva temple established by Sri Narayana Guru. The Guru consecrated the Siva idol, the first non brahmin to do so in Kerala society, in the year 1888. Aruvippuram Sivarathri is a very popular event attended by a large numbers of devotees and followers of Guru. Sivarathri also marks the anniversary of the Aruvippuram Siva temple. Koduthooki Mala is a rocky hill nearby the Aruvippuram Siva temple. There is a cave on top of this hill, where Guru used to visit for rest, solitariness and meditation tapas.[1] SNDP Yogam is formed at Aruvippuram, which was a historical event in Kerala history.

Beautiful picturesque place ideal for fishing. The water current is very swift during rainy days. Neyyar shows it's beauty here. However the narrow pathway alongside the river is polluted with plastic stuff. Just hoping that the tourists will show some respect towards this beautiful river .

A calm atmosphere Really chill vibe The water was a bit murky but it was cool and a relaxing experience Families can visit although should take extreme care for children . . . I visited on 10/10/2020, the water may be clear at a different tym but the experience was really good even though the water was not clear.

One of the best beauty spot riverside in tvm. Very wonderful natural scenic beauty. The area is very cool and a best spot to cool your self from the crouching sun in cities. The cool breeze at the location help you to relax and cool down your mind. The area is kept really clean so don't throw wastes into the waters or at the location. Make sure to protect such locations, which are very hard to find currently.

Once upon a time only higher cast people will b allowed to enter inside temples.....at that point of time The great saint Sri Narayanan Guru took a stone from this river and made a shiv temple for all sections of people in the society, there by creating an equality among people to enter temple.....This was the first temple in Kerala which allows all sections of people inside temple.... Very beautiful place, ample parking situated on a river bank

A nice place to spend your evening. Even though it's crowded, Riverside has sufficient space for everyone. It's better you come here to take a bath. The water is clean and the flow is also there. The riverside is located to the back of the temple. If you are coming by car, it's better to park your vehicle in front of the temple.

A nice place to be with friends. A good picnic spot. Its one of the pilgrim site with a good view. Have a small temple with shape of a shivalinga. There are places for a dip, but also have dangers ahead. A pleasent Vibe with so much shades and nice greenary. If you are going via neyyatinkara the road is through the river side, you can enjoy the view. Not everyone knows this place so it wont be crowdedπŸ˜‚πŸ˜…

Tucked away at around 5.5 kms from Neyyattinkara, Aruvippuram is an exquisite locale for a day outing. Easily accessible from Trivandrum the place is scenic, prestein and sparsely crowded. Nourished by following water almost round the year, the river is safe during the after monsoon season. There are near by trecking spots, view points, Shiv temple as places to explore. The only resturent opposite to the parking spot provides the taste of the land, recommended are the signature beef n chicken dishes. Update - checked places to stay.. none that is at banks of aruvippuram, Neyyattinkara has options.

Must go place for visitors. Calm & quite. No trouble from civilians or authorities. Nearest Dam is 7 kms away so relax but also be careful of water level as it might go up. Lose yourself in tranquility. Dont litter please!!!
