The sand here was different from what I've seen in the other beaches. The maintenance is good. There are some great resorts with beach view, would be great if you could get a room there. The beach has some blackish sand in some places despite the name. Definitely a good visit for beach lovers.

The best thing about this beach is its peaceful charm and picturesque views. From its golden sands and crystal clear waters to its magnificent sunsets, this beach never fails to take my breath away. There are some activities on this beach like camel rides etc.. Many coconut sellers are on the beach selling coconut water and fruits. Many floating restaurants are also around the beach. But this beach is not maintained at all. Garbage is scattered everywhere.

Very nice beach, very clean and peaceful. We reached here through back water boating. Boating experience was so nice. But when we went they were not allowing to enter into beach. We have just enjoyed the view, it would have great if they allowed to play in beach. There were few resorts and cottages to stay.

Such a nice place to visit while you are in Poovar. One should definitely opt for backwater cruise to visit this beach and enjoy the backwater ride which is through mangroves and backwater along with some nice bird watching. You can stay the nearby resorts available in Poovar and take this ride. We booked a non AC room for 2 days (room no 201). From day one no hot water in the room. On repeated complaints house keeping staff was sent to the room to check what is the issue. He turned on the tap and said wait for sometime hot water will flow and went. But still no hot water, again i went to the manager he is shouting at us stating u have not turned on tap properly. I asked them to visit again after visiting the room he provided 2 buckets of hot water from the kitchen since the prolonged wait. Before the next day in the evening we informed the manager that we need hot water by 6:30 early in the morning since we wanted to visit the temple. After being informed also, they pretend like nothing happened. In fact this time again they visited the room saying all other rooms have no issues only in your room there is a problem and blaming we are aware how to turn on the tap. After a long long conversation and a prolonged wait only one bucket of water was provided from the kitchen. While I was at reception for the same conversation other guests also started complaining about the same no hot water in the room. I had booked a non AC room which has a TV as per the booked facility but there is no TV in the room. The commode in the washroom is broken with cracks all over, which is a horrible part of my booking experience. I expected safe and basic facilities while on trip but this screwed all my happiness and made it an unpleasant experience. Sharing all my reviews and ratings for NON REFUNDABLE AMOUNT ON CANCELLATION.

Unique beach. It has brown sands and the beach is very steep and deep. Huge waves. It is usually deserted but the beach is littered with plastics and glass bottles. The beach is on Aravian Sea Very Nice sea Beach. One of the Best in Kerala.

Only good view, you will not be allowed to go into the sea as due to sand erosion risk.

Overall experience is good but too costly not for students because too costly
