Highly underrated beach. Not too much crowd. Really quite. Had fun in the water. There is a temple near by with a huge statue of Shiva. Had ice cream in the hot sun which was fun. Can come here when beaches near by are too crowded. It's always showing ruff waves so was a bit careful not going too deep in the water.

A wonderful beach near Aazhimala Shiva Temple. The place was crowded with visitors to the temple and the beach. Parking was difficult because of the crowd, had to walk around 2km to where I parked my car. Two wheelers won't have this problem. The beach has a beautiful view from the view point which is behind the temple. I've posted my experience on my blog, mytrawellstories. Please check for further details. Update(30.08.21): I personally would prefer coming here than going to Kovalam or Shangumugham I can't explain why but you'll feel like it, also Kovalam Beach is almost washed away.

Beautiful beach in TVM to spent time with kids and family. A sea water is little green in colour and the beach area is kept very tidy. The scenic beauty of the beach adds from the top view from the azhimala shiva temple, with one of the tallest shiva idol by the sea side. A perfect spot for kids and family.

Nice beach...πŸ–οΈπŸŒŠπŸ’š The gorgeous beach and green surroundings invite travellers, the much revered Azhimala Shiva Temple adds a mystic touch to the place. The temple which is perched on the cliff adjoining the sea is an ancient one that envelops the whole region in a pious aura. The temple is noted for its 58-ft-tall statue of Lord Shiva in the Gangadhareswara form, all made in concrete. The massive structure with Shiva's hair flowing in the wind and holding Goddess Ganga has a charm of its own and lends a magnificent appeal to the temple.

There was no beach as such because it was the time of high tide. But the entire way to the beach has been highjacked by a temple nearby with mediocre infrastructure that you have to pay for parking to enjoy a public space like the beach!! Was it worth the hourlong drive from the city? No. But since Trivandrum has no other decent beaches at the moment, this was okay.

A scenic and amazing beach stretch in Azimala, Vizinjam, Trivandrum. Has seen sharp increase in the number of visitors, thanks to the New Azimala temple Siva statue. The area is witnessing massive changes in terms of real estate, due to the close proximity to the upcoming Vizinjam International Deep water Port.

This beach could be a very nice place but it’s overloaded with trash. People don’t care about this natural beauty and leave their empty bottles etc. here. I don’t feel, the Indian government cares about the situation. They are also building a new Harbour nearby and destroy the beautiful view. Iβ€˜m really sad to see this.
