Otherwise a great location, the construction of the new port nearby has pretty much killed the views. There is constant noise of the construction happening all day and even at night. The solitude one is seeks in such places is gone. Staff and service is great. However, a couple of issues we highlighted like a broken faucet and broken dustbin were not fixed while we were there. Food is definitely below standard and not worth the price in their menu. That was one thing we really missed in our stay there.

Rooms were much better in reality, the place was serene, lush green with a private beach and a pool. The cherry on the cake was the staff, they were friendly and polite. Loved the place and their hospitality equally. If u r planning to spend some time in peace and enjoy nature and each other's company or some alone time, this is the place for you

Nice and beautiful. We got picked up from the airport enjoyed breakfast lunch and dinner, the pool and everyday a 90 Minute massagesession on 3day/nights. About 50/50 couples and families with kids. The food was amazing, the staff very friendly and helpful but there was confusion with the non alcoholic drinks after that got clarified we were only served water and/or a tea or coffee after the meal. Everything else would have cost extra. We paid around 1.300€!!! For 2 People. Too much for what we got. But that’s what it is.

Amazing property with beautiful view of the private beach, well maintained garden and infinity pool. The rooms are nice and cozy. Food was delicious. The beach was riddled with jellyfish when we visited, so we couldn't get into the water. A wonderful place to host events or even just to take a day to chill with friends or family or all by yourself

Have booked for 4 night by seeing online reviews which are fake though a renowned Travel Agency. Made paymen online and found the location so bad and unsafe living conditions with no safe atmosphere for family esp women that left the premises immediately. NOT RECOMMENDED..A 3 star property will be better. The online pictures are misleading, false and good reviews are all fake I have requested my esteemed travel agency and other agencies to please not recommend this Property to customers. I very much believe in goodness and honesty and hope that the Niraamaya will show ethics and will return my hard earned money. Wrong presentation can bring customers for a while but in long run, ethics and honesty works.

Hands Down is one of the best places I have stayed in the world. I have travelled to a lot of countries and have had the privilege of staying in gorgeous properties. But Niraamaya screams luxury and serenity cradled between wellness in a quaint place near Kovalam. I would recommend this place to anyone who is willing to get absolutely rejuvenated and bounce back to life. You will fall in love with yourself in this place.

I was there for a night and my RAYBAN sunglasses were stolen. While making room tour video just before leaving showing my sunglasses on the table but somehow i forgot there only. However to my utter surprise when i called them after leaving hotel, i was told it is not there, i returned to hotel to check my self but till then it was stolen. I asked receptionist for camera recordings but they did not cooperate. Thus it was not a great experience with them. Please take care of your belongings.

Very beautiful location, great beach and amazing views. The service is good and the food is okay. Stayed at the Family Villa and the rooms were quite average and the experience staying there was similar to a service apartment stay and not a resort. Also, the family villa was away from the main property & beach views, which wasn't nice.

One of the best places you can imagine. Right at the seashore with clean beaches and nice big property with lit of Green elements will make this place worth a visit. Although property is tremendous but food quality is just Ok. Service team is good. Lot of Family and fun activities can be planned. Overall very nice but beware all this comes at a very premium price. Negotiate well sine this place has couple of other properties also which you can get at better prices.

We ordered fish, squid, crab, beef, chicken and more at the restaurant and everything taste great! The ambiance too was great. But the only waiter at the restaurant (Date: 15/10/2021) is horrible with his etiquette. He clearly is not adequately trained to behave with a guest. He uses rude language, bluntly says no to everything being asked. While we were about to leave it was raining heavily. We requested for an umbrella to reach our car, the waiter holds one up in his hand and says “I have this one but this is for me to use, you cannot thus have it”. What kind of 5 star hotel do you hear that from!! If he’s waiting the tables I wouldn’t want to dine there again. Either train him better or swap him for another. But I must say, the food and ambiance was excellent.

Namayaa resort Whether you like this resort or not depends on your taste. If you like the rustic in the woodland resort,then this is for you. However, like my wife, if you hate frogs, slugs, and other insects in your bathroom sometimes and you love your usual luxury modern rooms as in a Taj, Leela, Marriott or other 5 star brands then this hotel is not for you. The garden room, in which we stayed, was quite dark and felt slightly claustrophobic as the windows did not open and you couldn't open the curtains on most of them. The sea facing villas looked much better with more outside space with sun loungers. If you can afford it, go for the sea facing villas. The swimming pool is on the small side but then there are only around 32 rooms. What they could improve is the availability of sun loungers. Only around 16 to 20 around the pool, for guests of around 40 to 60. They need to somehow create space near the pool for more loungers. The Internet is extremely slow, and as this is a wellness hotel, it might not matter to most, me being a ardent gamer, and I did miss it while relaxing on the lounger. This is something they can correct. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is quite adequate. The beach, I am afraid, is hard to get to if you have problems in steps. We stayed for 6 nights, and we were unfortunate to have a red flag on the beach every day, so we couldn't get into the sea. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her massage and body treatment. She thought it was one of the best she has had in India. The biggest problem for this hotel in the future, no fault of theirs, is that there is a large international terminal being built next to it. I can imagine big container ships sailing across your view and ruining your relaxing time here. We already can hear noise from the construction of the said terminal. I feel so sorry for the staff as their service was second to none, but the building of the terminal seems to be a great issue for the future of this retreat. Overall, I did enjoy my stay here, but my wife, who is nature adverse, did not relish her stay.

I recently stayed at this property for 4 days with my family. I would rate this property not less than 5 Star. From check in to check out I had amazing experience with this property. I just loved the way how the staff of the property pampered us. They took special care of my baby girl. Being vegetarian the restaurant of the property had served excellent food to us. This property do have private beach and it has amazing locations inside the property I would highly recommend this property someone who is looking for home away from home.

Decent property, has pretty cottages and villas. Breakfast buffet is not up to the mark - number of items as well as taste. Private beach has turbulent waves - swimming not recommended. Expensive and not worth the price given the lack of amenities and benefits (only has a gym, open swimming pool, and few board games). Has one small cabinet with 50-60 books and they’ve labelled that place as a library.

The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities provided were top-notch. I particularly loved the attention to detail, such as the complimentary bottled water and the plush bathrobes.

I would give this resort 10 out of 5 stars if that was possible just for their restaurant alone. Stayed with my family for 4 days in their family villa. The rooms were clean and the resort staff was very friendly. The resort is situated right at the beach and the views are simply amazing. The small private beach is great to relax. The spa was refreshing and again the staff there was very helpful. Now coming to the best part of our stay, the restaurant. Every dish that we ordered was just too good and the deserts were out of the world. The restaurant staff was very very welcoming and made sure that we got everything tailor made to our requirements. My father is allergic to garlic and we were provided any dish that he wanted suiting our requirements. A big shoutout and thanks to the chef: Mr Prakash Nayak, the staff Mr Anupam, Mr Swamy and a few other names I am forgetting. Definitely coming back to this resort.

Location is good , service is very very slow & staff behaviour is ok. We plan a birthday party but we can not enjoy it because of staff behaviour.

To draw a thick line between 49 years of working and retirement, we thought an Ayurvedic wellness retreat in Kerala would be ideal. Every one of our high expectations was exceeded. Very glad we stayed for three weeks, as it takes time to absorb everything properly. From the highly qualified medical doctors who daily checked in on us, to the caring and professional spa team members, to the amazing food (who knew we could enjoy our chosen vegetarian cuisine, zero alcohol, and no caffeine so much?), to the incredibly attentive serving staff, to the housekeepers and groundskeepers, to our yoga instructor--absolutely wonderful. We write this from a perspective of six months later... The benefits linger as do our warm memories.

Niramaya resort at Surya Samudra beach, Kovalam was a refreshing place to stay at. The private beach and there entire property was amazing and very well kept. All the staff have been very courteous. But a special mention definitely needs to go out for Anupam at the restaurant, who was exceptional at his job and is a great asset to the team. Would highly recommend this place!!!

We had gone there to avail the " day package ". This consists of lunch and high tea against Rs 2500 plus taxes. You may use the pool and other facilities in the property. Spa has separate charges. A wholesome experience if you want to spend a day out of the city.

Good place to stay…Great beach, staff and hotel/room amenities. But restaurant can be slow even when not busy. Beach towels are stained and don’t look washed. Booked tours could’ve been smoother but was well handled by the staff after it was raised. Just would rather not have to deal with these things but still happy

A Great Vacation Niraamaya Kovalam is a great place to stay. The room was great and comfortable, staff was very warm, prompt and kind and made us feel like family. Food was delicious. The location is so lovely and beautiful. Recommends to all who are looking for a relaxed holiday.

Excellent place. Natural beuty at its best. The staff are all very friendly,helpful and forthcoming. Restaurant chef Saju and head waiter Samson and all the rest of restaurant staff are really an asset to the place. The spa staff are very helpful and experienced. The pool is small but good and walkable distance to sea. The rooms can do with a bit of renovation. Trust me you will be blown away with the calm ,quiet and serene atmosphere.

It is a very calm and a rustic yet luxurious property.Has the most beautiful views of the Arabian Sea. Service at the restaurant is a bit slow... The guards on duty at the beach are fantastic and always Alert. Vishnu was a superb cab driver, who has the cleanest car... Overall a nice stay🙏❤

Great ambience, location and beautiful place overall. Convenient access is provided for differently abled. The views and the Private beach is the highlight of the resort😍😍😍. The hygiene of the restaurant is good and the food is reasonably good , but I am not that satisfied with my restaurant experience.

Niramaaya is without a doubt one of the most pristine and peaceful retreats I’ve ever been. The staff is amazing, food is mouthwatering and the Kerala-style heritage bungalows overlooking the ocean are stunning. Highly recommended

Had a one night stay. The property is beautiful with easy access to the private beach. But quality of rooms and service is not up to the mark. 5 star price for 2 star service.

Food is fine. Service is fine. But for me it was the view and how beautiful this resort is. Absolutely gorgeous. And the beach is also one of the cleanest I have ever seen. If you walk down to the beach, please don't litter. The sea maybe a little too rough to swim and there are no coast gaurds. Be safe. Thank you. Enjoy.

What was good - heritage cottage has a ocean view from your bed The over all property exploring experience is very relaxing Concerns- I had booked a heritage cottage and banyan tree bungalow for the next day ..but I wasn't offered the banyan tree room till 5:00PM despite booking in advance and charging 25k per night and not logically experiencing the room fully. The resort administration is bad in managing the allocation and resolving the issues. In argument of room being allocated I had to cancel my plans for the whole day leaving a bad experience with it. Pls quote your stay exactly at checkin slot if not they extend the stays of holding guests for additional cost leading the delay in room allocation where you land up paying full cost. Beach access is restricted or more controlled by resort securities...can't freely experience the waves as security will be a shadow of you 😀. Neighbouring resorts are more free with the beach accessibility.

This place has so much to explore, tall trees, a cliff and a beach. the resort has a private beach, if you are someone who loves to spend time with family privately then this place is for you. Would definitely suggest.
