We really enjoyed our food tour with Kiyomi! Not only was she so well informed but also personable and helped to explain other tourist issues besides food. We loved her choices of places and menus. The market experience was excellent. We later returned to the recommendations for drinks and food. This is a valuable tour to be taken upon arrival!! Highly recommend this tour in Mexico City. R & C Stuart

Great street tour. My family was very happy with all the places chosen by our guide Andy. She was very knowledgeable about food history of the places we visited, as well as the interesting sites on the streets we passed by. She had advice on what other restaurants to try, as well as the historical sites and museums to visit, definitely worth the money and time.

Such an amazing tour!!! I’ll begin with our guide; Naomi. Great, outgoing, informative, and fun guide. Informed us with great information of protected historic buildings AND very well informed of all the dishes we explored. I wish to say I had a favorite restaurant but, all locations were absolutely amazing and rich with flavor. I would definitely like to do this tour again, same spots! It is a must. Thank you Naomi!

Where to begin! Had an incredible Tacos & Mezcal tour with my husband and our amazing tour guide, Queso. He was so knowledgable and we learned so much from him. You will definitely have the time of your life learning about the history of lesser-known tacos, experiencing the wonders of Mezcal, and discovering your new favorite taquerias in the city. 10 stars out of 5!

The tour gastronomico thru barrio Roma lead by Enya was a wonderfull experience. Every restaurant and cafe were perfectly chosen and so were the dishes and drinks. Each one had a special ingredient and story and Enya put her special touch explaining everything not only about the places and food but also about the architecture and history of the barrio. My wife and I really enjoyed everything in the tour and would recommend it to everybody.

We had a great time on the tour, trying some amazing food options in the Roma Norte area. The tour was further enhanced by our guide Luis who was fantastic, giving us a tour of the neighbourhood highlights and history. Really well balanced mix of food, architecture and history. Highly recommend. Thanks again Luis.

A wonderful afternoon strolling through the historic Mexico City with Grace. Grace provided so much information and told legends of the area while taking us to amazing restaurants and food carts. We couldn’t pick a favorite place or food, everything was incredible! Grace even laughed off my husband’s accidental blinding attempt with lime juice. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City.

Our wonderful guide Josi shared the flavours and history of Mexico City in a very pleasant and informative afternoon tour. We tried all sorts of traditional and new age dishes and drinks and walked around the historic cultural centre of the city learning as we went. This was a wonderful way to get an initial taste of Mexico and we would recommend the tour to everyone!

Surprised to show up for the tour and find I was the only one scheduled for that day! Which was great because I got Stephanie all to myself. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the food but she had a wealth of information about the architecture and history of the wonderful Roma District which she shared in an enthusiastic and entertaining way. The 4 hours seemed to fly by and I must admit I ate more than I should but it was worth it. Visited 6 different restaurants, each one unique. Especially enjoyed the fish taco and horchata at Tres Galeones.

We took the Colonia Roma Food Tour with Stephanie on August 19, 2023, and had a truly incredible experience. She was very knowledgeable about the neighborhood, it’s architecture, it’s history, and all of the places we visited during the tour. The four hour journey flew by, and we had so many wonderful tastings along the way. And, now, I feel like I have a wonderful list of eateries to share with anyone who wants to visit CDMX. Beyond that, Stephanie was so friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was spending an afternoon exploring the city with a close friend.

Great guides (Myra and Freddy) made this an incredible tour. They are so knowledgeable about this fascinating part of the city. They are also passionate about food, art, and architecture. Our group included English and Spanish speakers, which made the tour even more interesting when we visited different sites. Our bilingual guides gave us a real insight into the history/culture of the area while we enjoyed delicious authentic foods and drinks. There was great variety and nobody left hungry. The tour was so good that I am planning to do it again when I return to Mexico City. I highly recommend this tour ........Colonia Roma Food Tour!

Sabores Mexico Food Tours provided 5 hours of excellent food, history of the food and the surrounding area where we walked. I got to try food from restaurants and street vendors, ranging from savory flavors to mild, to exotic to sweet. The tour guide, Jimena, was excellent. She guided us through the entire process with joy, energy and professionalism. I would do this tour again and again and again. I absolutely loved every moment and highly recommend this.

Excellent tour of a diverse range of eateries in the beautiful Colonia Roma neighborhood of Mexico City. Tour leader Rodrigo is knowledgeable and passionate about the food of Mexico, as well as its history, culture and architecture. He speaks perfect English and introduced us to some fascinating characters along the tour. We researched the 'food tour' market in depth before choosing this one and are very pleased we did. Highly recommended.

Exploring Mexico City through its vibrant culinary scene is a journey like no other, and Sabores Mexico Food Tours stands out as a remarkable guide to this delicious adventure. You are immersed in the heart of Mexico's gastronomy for half a day with this tour that not only satiated our taste buds but also offered an insightful peek into the city's rich culture and tradition. A word of advice: heed the warning to skip breakfast. The abundance of food offered throughout the tour is generous, allowing you to indulge in a wide variety of dishes. From savory to sweet, each tasting is a testament to the rich, complex flavors that are characteristic of Mexican cuisine.

5 stars! The historic food tour was absolutely amazing. Amazing food in spots out of the way, where I wouldn’t have happened across on my own! We received a full map a list of locations (8!) we went to as well - we’ll be back for more!

First time visiting Mexico. Of course, I am familiar with Mexican food and many other cuisines. So happy I went on this food tour. While walking through Roma and Colonia, interesting information was shared by Alma, our guide during the tour. The tour included everything you expect, but in an outstanding way. Great food, nice restaurants and you definitely learn a lot about the city, and the Mexican cuisine. Thank you Alma, for providing this great experience!

Excellent experience. My wife and I had a great time on this walking tour through the Coyoacan neighborhood tasting tostadas with chicken mole, tlaydudas, churros, tacos, quesadillas, mezcal, and beer. Our guide, Lucia, was excellent. She spoke fluent english and was happy to answer all our questions about the neighborhood, the food, and Mexico in general. Would strongly recommend this experience!

I'm stuffed! One of the most delicious, and daring, food tours I've experienced to date! From authentic tacos, to crickets and ants, and a stop at the oldest candy shop in Mexico City, this was definitely worth it! I would highly recommend this tour! Jemena (I know I butchered the spelling) was our tour guide and she was AMAZING!!!!!!! She did a wonderful job!! Five star tour guide!!!

We (group of 3 adults) had an absolutely stellar experience doing this tour with Ana Karen. Ana Karen was knowledgeable, lively and genuine; no slick, prepackaged spiels from her. We very much enjoyed all the places we visited on our tour. Our only "complaint" is that our stomachs were too small - despite the fact that this is one of the less ambititious food tours that are available. The tour did a nice job of alternating lighter food stops with the heavier offerings. We were very glad that we chose the Coyoacan tour because Ana Karen was a great guide, the barrio was charming and full of great places, but a little less overwhelming than some of the other areas of Mexico City might have been (and I am from a big city). As for the food, it waws real food not just precious high end foodie-food, which is what we had wanted. The three of us all had different favorites, which is a good sign that you are visiting a variety of places. Also, we are all from the western US and grew up on Mexican food, and we were all impressed by the offerings. Bravo! We will all most certainly be back!

Wow this tour blew me away! I tasted so many foods and learned so much in the 5 hour traditional food tour. Time flew. The best thing I did in Mexico City for sure and the info packet you get with all of their personalised suggestions is just great! Jimena our guide was very knowledge, friendly and a joy to be around. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Mexico City!

We had a fabulous time on this tour. The food was outstanding and the guide really gave us a lot of interesting information on the history and architecture of Roma. Of the 4 tours we did on our trip to Mexico City, this was our favorite! Highly recommend.

We loved the food and learning more about the history of Mexico City. Grace was an excellent guide. She has a real passion for her city which makes the tour even better. We highly recommend this tour, it's off the beaten path and a great experience. Plus you'll walk off a lot of the calories from the food. 😂

This tour was fantastic our tour guide Stephanie was awesome! Her passion for the architecture, historic restoration, chefs and the FOOD along with her very good English came together to make a perfect day for us. This tour has a very nice mix of types of food and winds through a great area of the city to learn about. We’ll be going back to some places we tasted at, and others we learned about. For us it would have been a good later afternoon tour since it was a lot of food. Definitely take this tour if you can.

We had an amazing food tour of the Roma neighborhoods. The food was almost as great as our guide Joseph—both were excellent! I highly recommend all the restaurants we stopped at. We are pescatarians and found the food to be delicious, diverse, and very flavorful. We were beyond impressed with the value of received.

A fantastically fun and high quality tour. We got a chance to try foods we never would have known even existed, explore an interesting part of the city, and get first-hand knowledge from our guide Maria Jose. Maria was an amazingly fun and knowledgeable guide, answered all of our questions, and kept us both laughing and wanting more food. This tour was a highlight of my visit to Mexico City.

Excellent experience! Kiomi was a stellar guide and even took time to point out architectural marvels when I mentioned I was interested in architecture. Some of the food was fun and interesting, some of it was truly delicious. My whole group loved it.

We had a great tour and day with Maria Ortiz. She was very informative and easy to hang with. We tried so many dishes, unique flavors, spices to Mexico past and present. The diversity of the tastings and locations were all very unique. I would recommend this tour for foodies and for great experiences. Maria was a good story teller. No complaints, great day!

The food tour of historic Jexico City was amazing. Our guide Kiomi was very knowledgeable and friendly as well as patient with our requests. All the stops were great and the pace was also good. Excellent value for the price.

Very good tour though some of the food was not good for my stomach because of the spicy ness but overall if u like spicy and want to taste local Mexican food this is a good tour for you. Grace was very accommodating of my food requests and also took her time to explain the history behind each restaurant. Maybe we could have finished more on time with less talk of the story which at some point felt too much but overall I recommend it for taste of local Mexican food

I would give even more stars if I could! Ricardo, the guide, was so amazing and knew all the places really well. The food was all incredible, overall a lovely experience. If you are thinking about doing this tour, do not hesitate, it is great way to explore the food of Mexico City!

Delicious and very well organised foodie tour through the historical centre of Mexico City! Kiomi did a great job and knew all details about the local food and a lot of interesting things about the city. If I could give this experience 25 stars, I would. My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of the tour. It didn’t feel like a tour, it felt like hanging out with a new friend. The information was relevant and perfect for the pace. The food and drink were absolutely incredible. Rodrigo led us through some of the most storied, delicious, and memorable eating experiences of my life so far. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. We’ll be returning to as many of the places that we visited, before we leave. Keep up the great work!

If you're looking to have a culinary experience + history of the food you're eating and history of Roma, this is the tour for you. Regina is very knowledgeable and is a great tour guide. A lot of interesting facts and you get to try foods other than tacos. I really enjoyed trying out different types of cuisines Mexico City offers.

  • 5/5 Talon W. 2 years ago on Google
When they tell you not to eat before the tour, they are not exaggerating. There is so much food! And many of the "tastings" are small plates of food, not just a taste. The drinks from the cantinas are full size. All of the food and drinks were really great, and almost all of the stops were at places you wouldn't probably know about without this tour. Not only did we have great tastings, but the tour includes a lot of cultural info, insights from the area's history, and intriguing stories. I did the historic center food tour, and we also had some stops inside buildings of interest. So it's really well rounded. Our guide was excellent, and when we asked questions about nearby buildings or events, if she wasn't sure, she would check with a colleague who would provide info she could share. An absolute must-do if you enjoy food.

We had such a fantastic experience with Rodrigo exploring the food in the Centro. We quickly meshed well with Rodrigo, who’s passion for Mexico and her food was infectious and made the experience that much sweeter. Treat yourself and let Rodrigo introduce you to the beauty of this county and her delicious, and in some cases, ancient food. We never felt like we were on a tour — instead we felt as if we had met a lifelong friend!

Our food tour with @saboresmexicioft & our guide, Kiomi, was incredible & unique. Not only were the choice of restaurants & markets diverse, the architecural history of Centuro Historica was a nice touch blending in a bit of historial facts, ghost stories and fun facts about Mexico City. Kihomi was a very knowledgable guide, kept us all together, made sure we were having a good time and definately made the tour fun with her animated voice and witty charm! I highly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed!

Took the Mexico City food tour with 2 other couples and the tour started promptly at 1130 from the given location. Our guide, Kiomi, introduced herself and provided information of all the places we will get to visit and the foods we get to try. She also asked for any allergies and was able to accommodate any diet restrictions as well. We went to about 8 stops total with various types of delicious food and drinks. The amount was just perfect and our tummies were filled. Kiomi also explained the history of the areas and restaurants we visited, and provided suggestions of other great places to try. All the restaurants we tried were delicious and unique. We also got to try grasshoppers and ants, which were quite tasty. The amount of walking was quite ample. It was sometimes crowded, especially near the end of the tour, but the area felt quite safe. Overall, a wonderful food tour to introduce yourself to the Mexico City restaurants.

We had the BEST time on this tour. Our tour guide, Grace, was so much fun and knowledgeable and took us to places we never would have discovered on our own or would have been too intimidated to try. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I HIGHLY recommend. This is a great way to see the city and taste some amazing local food!

The best tour ever! We were immersed into an experience unlike I have experienced before! Rodrigo, the tour guide was amazing! His knowledge, engagement, and connection to the city, its people, and foods provided valued insight into the culture, history, and flavors. He told stories of many lifetimes and generations, leaving with me important lessons and facts about this vibrant city! Well done, Rodrigo! Well done!

This is possibly the best thing I have ever done on a vacation. We did this tour on our first full day in Mexico City and it was amazing. It's exactly what it claims to be - a walking tour round the downtown area, learning about the culture and history, but mainly the food - and how much food there was...! The food was, without exception, amazing - so much variety including new things we'd never tried before. The guide was great - friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole afternoon felt very relaxed. almost like a friend showing people hidden gems. The size of the group - eight people - was perfect. And the length of the tour was around five hours. Most of which was spent eating. I can't fault the tour, and I can't praise it highly enough. Great value, and a fantastic way to spend a day eating, drinking and walking.

Everything we had was excellent from start to finish. What made the tour extra enjoyable was our guide, Luis. He was so knowledgeable, funny, attentive. He just made our first food tour memorable. So thankful to him! He’s so good at what he does! Thank you for an amazing experience, Luis and Sabores! We want to try your other tours on our next trip back to Mexico.

We had the best experience in this tour. Our food expert, Ximena, was pretty friendly and knowledgeable. She took us to different family owned restaurants in the Centro Historico where we tasted the most incredible local food, from mole, mixiotes, seafood, grasshoppers, delicious candies, and more! It was totally worth it, these are places that would be pretty difficult to find as a tourist. I hope to take another our their tours soon!
