BED BUGS!!! I stayed here for two nights and got COVERED in bed bug bites. Horrific. I have stayed in motels all over North America and this is BY FAR the worst. This place is not safe for humans. The owner lied to my face multiple times - saying a refund could only be made by “Booking.com” - when I spoke to them they said the opposite was true. When booking.com contacted the motel they denied I ever stayed there, though I spoke to the owner face to face (4) times and he handed me the keys when I checked in. They denied the photos of my legs completely COVERED in bed bug bites, they denied they have cockroaches. I went back to discuss this matter in person one last time to see if there was a decent human being in there. *Spoiler* THERE WAS NOT. The lies this man said and in the frequency they poured out of him was scary to witness. This place should be shut down immediately and it is sad and disturbing that it is allowed to operate.

I have spent a night at that place three year ago, it was fine then. This time, I had a horrible experience. They didn’t take any action regarding the bedbug situation and charged the credit card for a room I couldn’t bear staying in. I felt so disappointed and I ended up getting a room in another hotel. I would give 0 to the hospitality management on this hotel. In case you had same experience please email me as we are filing a legal report to Ontario’s hospitality board.

When we pulled into the parking lot we already noticed something was off. There was a women who walked around for hours , getting in various cars, looking right into your window while you were parked. It was so strange but we ignored it and walked to the front. The owner didn’t let us in, but came outside with a slip of paper asking to write our names, no id required. Very rude man. He then tossed us a key and off we went. Since we were on the second floor, we had to take the stairs. They were not stable and very sketchy. We put the key in the hole but the door wouldn’t open without a large amount of force. Once we finally got the door open and walked it, we were hit with a musty smell. The first thing we noticed is that the tv was MELTED, and not just a bit, severely. There were maggots in the light, blood stains on the sheets and pillows, cigarettes\bed bug wholes in the sheets, no working heat/ac it wouldn’t even turn on we were FREEZING. The bathroom had not been cleaned. There were crumbs all over the counter , half used shampoo and toilet paper, the toilet had not been wiped down, the shower/tub was DISCUSSING and the sink was broken. The toilet barley flushed and got clogged after a single square of toilet paper. Visible dust everywhere and nail marks all over the headboards. I didn’t expect much from this place, however it was 10000x worse then we imagined. We also got SCAMMED. He took advantage on the fact we needed somewhere to stay and highly overcharged us. Terrible place overall would NOT recommend.

Worst place to stay I will never come to this hotel. Very dirty space. Blood stains on the mattress. Bad smell in the corridor of the hotel. The sound of a woman screaming on the lobby floor that scared me.

Beware! We booked this motel through Expedia on May 22 for an arrival date of July 1. I gave my credit card information with the assurance that no payment would be processed until our arrival. On June 2th, I received an email from Expedia stating that our reservation was cancelled because the motel attempted to process the payment several days early. I called the motel immediately only to be told that the room could be booked again for over $200 a night. I was, understandably, livid. The manager of the hotel couldn't even keep his stories straight and kept getting caught in lie after lie. This is obviously a scam, cancelling reservations with only days before arrival, it also violates the conditions of the agreement. However, after reading all the comments and interacting with the manager, I wouldn't stay at this motel for any reason. It sounds dirty, dangerous and the staff are rude.

Worst worst.. so called motel ever, not worth a penny. Dirty, stinky rooms half of us slept in the cars because of the smell. All over the washroom had spider web, dirts on the bed sheet.👎

Someone has been working very hard to provide the cheapest possible accommodation within walking distance of the falls. Lots of reviewers here have lot of unkind words and easy criticisms, but they all chose NOT to pay 4X the price for a more modern hotel. Rooms were clean enough. 2 blocks from fallsview. Parking was free - but not always the case. If you want cheap, stay here and deal with the basic amenities.

We paid for parking (entered our license plate number into the automated ticket machine) but were not issued a receipt. Assuming our license plate was enough to assure no issues we left car parked. But the car was towed and the towing company indicated the hotel owners called to request the tow!! So in addition to the $20 for parking, we paid $288 for the tow and had to drive out 15mins to pick up the car! Even the towing company had choice words about this hotel owner. We left the hotel owner a voice message to return our towing fee. Let’s see what happens!! Don’t go here!

Had to change rooms 3 times. First room had no heat and the fridge had mold. The second one had a messed up toilet and burn marks in the comforter. The last room was okay, but the found mold in the lamp shade in the morning. Had a terrible sleep because of people yelling and screaming and banging on our door 3-5am. Staff and rude and not helpful. Never recommend this place to anyone.

Central and convenient location and affordable prices (15% extra for those who pay in US dollars), you pay an extra $10 for day parking and $15 for overnight parking. But the place is a bit neglected, the room smells of cigarettes, there is a noisy window air conditioner, a smoke detector that beeps every 2 minutes and the shower is broken- no water! Unfortunately, there is no presence at the reception all the time, so there is no possibility to change rooms. In conclusion, I would recommend trying somewhere else.

This is a MOTEL and should be posted as one, DO NOT confuse clients. Photos on website and on Expedia are not updated. The pool is green and full of junk, the parking lot a bit filthy with some garbage in some spots and in front if some rooms. The management do not have a welcoming attitude, and were rude, they told us they are renovating the lobby, but now I noticed lot of reviews from last year were complaining about the same issue. Room smell bad, like mold. We didn’t stay even 3 minutes, and management or Expedia wouldn’t even make a partial refund, This is a Scam. Expedia should ask them to renovate hotel and provide better services, or take them off all listings. This is a scam. So many people complaining about the same. Expedia and motel Management should TAKE ACTION about it.

If you are looking for a budget friendly motel, where you don't have far to walk or pay for transport to downtown Niagara, places to dine or attractions - The Rainbow Motor Inn is ideal. If posh and fancy are your preference, I don't recommend this place. But for my 15 year old son and I, plus my dogs, this was perfect as we didn't have a huge budget, and we didn't need a credit card to check in. Some rooms are currently being renovated, so interior decor may improve in the first room we stayed in. Parking alone in Niagra can be a nightmare and expensive, so leaving my truck that's packed with all my personal belongings in the box as I am in between homes and moving from out of province, I had no issues sleeping at night leaving everything in the back of my truck tied down. My dogs are not yet a year and what I appreciated is the fact that I simply had to walk around the back of the motel to find a large runway and huge mostly vacant parking lot to let my dogs run off leash (mine are trained with good recall fyi) After staying 2 nights in a double room with my son, I moved to a single room. What a cute, homey room to see all the night lights from. Put away a few things so I can get some work done on my laptop and have my dogs feel right at home, too. (Microwave, fridge, makeup counter, pull down ironing board, fireplace mantel, TV with drawers and cabinet, laminate floor, 2 night stands, couch, small coffee table, 2 arm chairs and a very adequate bathroom[very clean].) Nice little room for a single person and comfy and cozy for a couple - especially if pet friendly is a concern. When checking in, you simply approach the lobby - do not expect to be welcomed inside the lobby itself. However, if you have any issues, simply go to the front lobby door, and the managers will attend to whatever you may need. There's a friendly, sweet woman who works on site as well. Talking with her during the day as I sat out on the balcony was a pleasure. Bonus, if you are a Tim Hortons fan, it's a parking lot walk away. ;)

I know this is a cheap motel and you get what you pay for but the minimum expectation is that it is clean.. which IT WAS NOT. The only upside to this place is how close it is to downtown. There was a USED PAD on the floor of the bathroom, along with some FINGERNAILS on the floor and the windowsill. The sink was filthy. We didn't even sleep under the blankets because we were sure it was dirty and we weren't taking the chance for bed bugs. I have photos but clearly this establishment has turned off photo sharing with reviews.

Horrible place to stay. Upon Checkin was not able to go in office. Booked room for due to having pet with. Once I got key room was on second floor. Grass area for dog was across a busy road. Unsafe. Room was freezing no heat, door would not close or lock. Room smelled bad. Super unsafe for my family. My family and I left. Was told I wouldn’t be charged and was charged double.

I would never recommend this hotel. The room was very dirty as if they had not cleaned it in weeks, dust on the surfaces of all furniture, the bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were very old and smell bad, the air conditioning was not working well and the air flow was humid and musty. We complained about the bad smell to the receptionist who was friendly and tried to help us in finding another room, but our room was the best availability.

A little concered here that the main photo on Google is of this large, towering Hotel.. when in reality the hotel is like a 2 story walkup. OUT OF TOWN VISITORS beware.. the picture is not of the hotel.

Overall a nice place to stay. Room needed a bit more cleaning when we arrived but the owner/manager was polite and did what we asked no problem (clean some water stains and refill toilet paper). Also one of the few hotels in the area that allow pets. Only thing that I could not understand is why they don't allow cannabis smoking on the property but other tenants are allowed to chain smoke cigarettes on the shared balcony as everyone walks by. They even provide ash trays for them.

Business is done on the front steps, they won't even let you into the office, not that you want to go in there anyway, it is a disaster area. I booked on booking.com and they dropped my reservation even though I called ahead to make sure everything was okay. After a two hour drive, I was told that had no rooms available. Manager blamed it on booking.com even though they were still showing my reservation as valid. Claimed my credit card was invalid. It wasn't, I went down the street and got a room with my supposed "invalid" credit card. I suspect I was dropped because a reserved a month ahead at a cheaper rate. As I was leaving I heard other guests complaining about various issues with the rooms.

This place is awesome for the price. Super close to all the good stuff. Not sure why everyone rates this place so poorly.

Look,I've stayed here many times. Close to everything. Owners are decent. It's well priced. Those who want high end. Go pay for it. Stop complaining. Signed the van guy.

This was absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed. Our King bed was only 2 twin beds pushed together and they had no sheet on the mattresses at all. We had to sleep on our flat sheet. There were two lamps and neither were plugged in and there weren’t even outlets to plug them in to. We found multiple pieces of other peoples clothing left in the room and food left in the fridge. And lastly the man at the front desk lied to me multiple times and would not take any of our issues seriously. I would tell anyone and everyone to never stay here. And please let others know too because it’s a waste of your money and you will be disgusted.

Stayed here with my 5 year old daughter and we both agree this was a great motel and will be returning. We loved the pool and hot tub and were able to walk to cliffton hill in about 10 minutes. Is this 5 stAR? No but for the cost it was exactly what we were looking for and more. See you again next summer

I’m not sure why this place gets such bad reviews. Our Stay was all in all fine. You get what you pay for. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi worked fine. The pool was clean, but pretty cold so we didn’t go in. But we enjoyed going in the hot tub instead. Not much to watch on TV so I would recommend bringing a tablet to connect to the Wi-Fi and watch something which is what we did. No microwave or coffee maker in the room. The microwave was outside down by the icemaker. It’s very close to a lot of places. The owner was friendly enough. I would go back again.

Rooms were quite outdated and the Bedding was very itchy but i guess all in all ok for the price. The pool was clean. The view was beautiful minus the direct birdseye of the tim hortons drive thru lane lol.... the location was good. Very close to the casino. The front office was very very messy. Not nice to walk into. Probably won't stay here again.

Just parked here for a few days while visiting, but I can attest to the great location and fabulous people who work in the office. They were quite nice and welcoming. I will be back here again!!

We were on the bottom floor. Room was very nice. Pool was a little cool but clean my grandson enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. Not far from Skylon Tower.
