The ambience is good. The quality and quantity of the food was good too. But my wife found a piece of hair in her dish and when asked they took the dish away but asked to pay extra for a new dish. We did not take a new dish and they took it off our bill. We expected a new dish as my wife was not done with her meal. We also expected at least a formal apology, instead they consoled us with a piece of a cake as a dessert. I felt they were understaffed that day and we were also told that the manager was not onsite. After all these I ended up paying a 10% tip just to be fair and considerate from our end. Probably I would pass going there again.

The luck of the Irish was shining down on us and it illuminated a path to Doc Magilligan's. This was our last stop on our trip. Just a short drive from the touristy area near the Falls. We were greated and taken care of by the wonderful Michelle who made us feel so welcomed. Our food was delicious but the star of the show was the sticky toffee pudding. It came out so moist and had me cursing obscenities because it was so damn good. Next time I'm in the area I'll make sure I order dessert first. Thanks Michelle for the wonderful Sticky surprise!

Sooo fun! Cute pub with versatile seating. At the bar or in a cozy booth, either way this place made me smile. Great place for some fish & chips with beer. As an American, had to try the poutine and jeez did it hit the spot! Waitress was tentative, and all around kind, informative people!

Legitimately some of the best pub food you'll ever have, fries and entrees were outstandingly done, fresh, amazing portions, hot -- some of the best mixed drinks and beers you'll find just outside of the "Niagara tourist area". GO NOW! ❤️

This place was surprisingly delicious. Was just expecting regular bar food but everything we got was so perfectly seasoned and flavourful. [Sheppards pie] 5/5 The mashed potatoes on the top was smooth and had perfect consistency. The meat.. I had never had a sheppards pie made this good. Had a mix of veggies inside and everything combined seasoned it so darn well. Would definitely recommend. [Fish and Chips] 4/5 Nice coating on the fish. It was crispy on the outside and the fish was moist. I usually avoid fish and chips as the fish is dried out from deep frying but this is cooked very nicely! Missing a point because the fries were meh Price is a fair and is definitely cheaper than Niagara restaurants considering how its still nearby tourist area. You can also tell the chef and servers care about what they provide

Don't recommend. I usually love Irish pub food, but the food here tasted like it came from Boston Market. The service wasn't friendly & there was a comedian in the back room doing a paid show who filled the restaurant with loud raucous vulgarity.

Great place to drop by at night. The cocktails are great and the food is good. There was also live music. It’s near to the Niagara Falls and the free WEGO bus also has a stop at this location. Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant when you are in Ontario.

We come from Toronto to Niagara and try to go off the path a bit because it’s always better. We found this place and were not disappointed at all! Super yummy authentic pub food and huge quantities! The waitress was lovely and very attentive. I believe her name was Tori, super sweet and went above and beyond for us making sure I had extra sauce and lots of take out containers! Also gave good advice on food. Live music was fantastic as well. We will come back next time we’re here ☺️

Doc's has a lot of Irish character that delivers from the front facade to the bar to the karaoke that was rocking in the back room. The menu has lots of variety. Our food was delicious! Our server's accent was Irish & she was great. It was well worth the drive into town from our room w/ a view of the Falls. Had we been staying 5 -7 days, we likely would've eaten there again.

The atmosphere was nice. They had a live band. Although we were seated right away, it did take them a little bit before they acknowledged us and started to serve us. Overall, the food was good, but the poutine was salty.

The place looks amazing! The food tasted great (i give the cauliflower buffalo wings a 10/10) and the drinks were awesome too. Even when it got crowded our server Mike was always checking on our table and making sure we were having a great time.

Stopped by Doc Magilligans for dinner right before visiting Niagara Falls and it was an excellent choice. I ordered the fish and chips and the Taste of Ireland and they were both delicious. The fish from the fish and chips was lightly battered, flaky, and juicy. You get a choice of one or two fish and the portion of one was super filling already. The chips had been upgraded to a poutine. The gravy had a strong aroma and deep flavors which complimented really well with the chips and cheese curds. Hands down the best poutine I had ever had in Canada. The chips were crispy and not even a bit soggy. If you are the type that likes to try multiple things, the Taste of Ireland is for you. It's basically a sampler where you get to pick three items out of the five choices. I decided on the shepherd's Pie, chicken curry, and the steak and mushroom pie. All three were so rich and flavorful. The Irish soda bread and the puff pastry was a nice touch to balance out the heavy dish. If I ever visit Niagara falls again, I would definitely make a visit to Doc Magilligan's Restaurant & Irish Pub.

Came here for a friends birthday. It has a cool ambiance compared to other bars. The curtains made dinner feel more private. Started with some drinks. I had the strawberry daiquiri with rum. It was delicious. They were also able to make a mock-tail for my friend who doesn’t drink, which was awesome. We shared a few appetizers, and had an entree each. The onion rings and Irish nachos were delicious as well, and fairly generous portions. Enough for all 5 of us to share, and still have a few left over. I had the poutine as an entree. It was great. Had bacon and cheese curds in it! Prices were reasonable overall. Will be back again!

The food here was phenomenal. I had the fish and chips which was enormous and well worth the money. The batter was non greasy and cooked just right. I also had their Mac and cheese which was definitely the best Mac and cheese I have had at a restaurant so far. My girlfriend ordered the whisky rubbed ribs where were equally just as good as I had some of the ribs. Only thing that I have negative to say is that they forgot the baked beans that comes with the ribs but other than that I have nothing bad to say about this establishment at all. You get your money's worth here and it's good food. I would recommend eating here.

Went here for lunch. The atmosphere was fantastic and our server was an absolute sweetheart. She made us feel right at home and treated us like we were her only table. The selection of beer on tap was more than you could ask for. I had the Guinness burger and it was delicious. Can't wait to come back.

The best Irish Pub experience in Niagara Falls! I've been here twice and both experiences were superb. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Parking is available at the front of the hotel. Very spacious with plenty of seating. There is a space for a live band when it's safe to have performances. Be sure to try the Fisherman's Pie as it is the most tasty dish I've ever had in an Irish pub. Will return for sure!

What a great place for food, talk, and just overall ambiance. We were the first ones in for today's breakfast midweek. Sunday was jumping with people , our server Jennifer was awesome music, and great food. What a great addition to this Best Western in Niagra, Ontario CANADA

Overall it's a pretty good spot! For is well portioned for the price. The kids menu is a bit expensive at $15, and the portions area but big for kids. I feel like they could cut the portions and price in half and have a better result - my four year old brought home over half his meal! The atmosphere is great. Service is a bit meh. They were super attentive right up until we ordered, after which it was hard to flag anyone down for water or even to get the bill.

Good service, wait staff helpful and attentive. Menus had a good selection of food. Fish and chips good. Tacos were good too. No wait time, place was clean.

I went when they had only late night menu options , so I had cali wings , chicken wings and steak & mushroom boxty , it comes with either fried or salad . Cali wings were great , chicken wings were a bit small needed more sauce ( my opinion ) . Boxty was ok . A bit pricey I thought . Photo of wings were after I took 4 pieces . Probably would be better if came earlier to look at full menu ..

Came over from Niagara new York for a brief visit and Thanksgiving dinner with my family that is visiting the area. It is next to a hotel. They let us make a reservation. There was 18 of us. We had 5 small children. They were ready for us sat down right away. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The food was really good. We enjoyed the Irish sampler. Not too long of a wait for our food. Plenty of food.

Very great tasty food. Boyfriend ordered boxty with corned beef but added Cheddar and BBQ sauce and then got the boxty fries. And got the fish tacos. Delicious meal with big portions and tasty.

This place looked very promising but ended up being an experience that is less than nice. While the portions and the presentation looked quite nice, the after effects of the food were not. The food was very oily, and it caused issues all day long. I am aware fried food is oily and I am usually very find with it. This one was excessive and it caused issues. The Irish nachos tasted great to be honest and I only realized the too much oil towards the end. The fish on the other hand was soggy and oily. Didn't enjoy it at all. The fries were also oily and also not cooked properly. Remind me of scenarios when the frying oil gets cold and you drop stuff in it. They get soffy and not properly cooked. Not sure if I'd try this place again, it could very well be a one time issue since the other reviews are generally positive.

The place is really giving its own vibe, the food was great and i can tell they are fresh. The waitress was nice and helpful Got the chance to try out the famous taste of ireland that people mentioned and it was delicious. I highly recommended However the burger was a bit oily

We came here for Christmas Dinner. We asked for a quiet area and they seated us at the high tops. It was very comfortable, and the atmosphere was great. The waitress was fantastic, and we had our food within 25 minutes. The food was hot, and delicious. We didn't order their Christmas special, and we tried their classic pub meals. The prices were very reasonable and we are thrilled with our visit. We will definitely be back.

Was in Niagara Falls for the first time & saw a good review of this place on Trip Advisor. So glad we stopped! Authentic Irish Pub experience with excellent food, service and atmosphere. Had live music with a talented duo for the perfect meal out. Highly recommend the Rueben bites, Guinness burger and Thornberry cider on tap!

I had been wanting to try the food at docs for a long while. Decided to try it out during patio reopening. Only patio dining was available at this time. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive and she followed all covid protocols. The patio was not very busy which was really nice and private . The menu offers both vegan and vegetarian options. Unfortunately we found the food underwhelming and a bit bland . Probably would not return to eat. Maybe for some drinks now that the inside has reopened. I have enjoyed live music there before and had a great time. This restaurant is located in a hotel on a busy street. Parking can be difficult.

Definitely a must do if you’re in the area. Our server Sheri was such a delight and the food was fantastic. To top it off there was live music which turned our night into a party. Two thumbs up DOC.

We were in the Falls for a mini vacation and found this place on line. We decided to give it a try and couldn't be happier that we did. Such a clean and lovely environment, and the staff is amazing. My husband had the fish and chips and it was huge and done to perfection. I had the roast beef dip, and it's the best one I've ever had. Tried the Boxty Fries and they were great, dipped in the cheese sauce, yum. Will definitely go back when we're back in the Falls.

We ordered 2 dishes: 2 pieces fish& chips and fisherman’s pie. The portion of food is bigger than what we expected. Coleslaw is really fresh without too much dressing. The sauce for house salad is really impressive. Fish is crispy and tasty. Fisherman‘s pie is a little bit salty, but we still finish it up. We almost get scallop, fish and mushroom in each bite.
