Food was just not good at all. We were expecting great buffalo wings as Anchor Bar is supposed to be home on the buffalo wing, unfortunately what we got were like these Dollar Tree store microwave style flavorless wings. The "chicken strips" were more like chicken nuggets from McDonald's, they even had air pockets in them. They were definitely not whole chicken breast but more like a compressed meat product. The drinks were not even good. We should have left after asking the waiter what he thought of the food, because he couldn't really give an answer other than he hadn't really tried much on the menu. That answer is usually a huge red flag. I chose to give a very low tip due to the waiter's lack of knowledge and when he finally brought our check, he placed it on the table with no pen. I had to ask another server for something to write with so that I could sign my tab. And no the place was not busy at all during the time we were there. If I could give a negative star review Anchor Bar would be the first. I would not be able to recommend this place and I would never return here.

Honey bourbon bbq boneless wings were delicious. Tequila shots were good and Long Island iced tea was good. Definitely got my buzz. Britney and Gabby at the bar were really nice and friendly. Great service last night and great atmosphere. Thanks ladies!!! Went back to Anchor Bar last night for one last hang out before I head back to Virginia. Britney was a darling. Great service, great drinks, great wings, perfect company, gonna be visiting again when I’m in town. Gabby and Britney, y’all rock!!!

Casual dining, lots of choices for all your picky friends. Always able to just walk in with no reservation. Great place in the summer to enjoy car cruise nights. (Usually Thursday evenings)

The food is fantastic. Seriously, best wings I've had in a long time. That being said, took over an hour to get our food(Monday evening) and they hide charges on the bill. My boss got 2 bourbons on the rocks and they charged $7 for the drink and $1 for the ice. In short, it's worth the BS. The food is so good that it trumps shotty staff and scum bag hidden charges.

Service was just OK. Nice waitress but she forgot to being out the appetizer before the dinner. And she didnt check on us like she should have. Food was good. Nice atmosphere.

Tldr: go literally anywhere else. Story is, the family came here for dinner. Very nice waitress, and hostess. Would say the staff was great 10/10. The food negative 10/10. Kids Mac and cheese was overdone noodles in a queso sauce with shredded cheese on top. Wife's didn't enjoy the burger, I don't recall the reason but she didn't finish half. My food was pictured. Here is the size of the chicken with a beer next to it. should say slider and not sandwich for th 15.99 I paid and a side was another 4.99. The chicken was good but the burger was a mess. Ordered bbq sauce but it was dunked in both buffalo sauce and bbq sauce. The bun was soggy from buffalo sauce. Then I got coleslaw, and it was grey with about 1/2 inch of grey water on the bottom, hope I don't get sick. Like how do you mess this up. Ordered kids food early to get them fed right away but they just brought it all out the same. we told them to get that first. Anyways, $85 for 2 beers, 2 adult dinners and 2 kids meals. Hard pass in the permanent future.

Amazing wings! My husband and I came with our dog, and they immediately brought out a bowl of water for him. We got half buffalo wings, half BBQ wings, and they were both delicious!

Food was overdone. The wings were insanely crunchy and dry and the sauce could not save them. Husband got the buffalo pizza which was about 90% Bleu cheese and practically no buffalo sauce, he is typically a garbage disposal and leaves nothing to waste and ended up stopping a couple slices in because it was too much. Server barely showed up, no wet naps, honestly for the hype its ehhhhhh. I'd stick to the wing place you normally frequent.

Had my expectations set too high for the wings. I was told by many that Anchor bar has the best wings in Buffalo! I was very disappointed. The wings, although huge, had little to no flavor. Maybe it was just a bad batch but this was a very average tasting wing. The spicy chicken soup was too sour, but maybe that's a local preference and just not for me. The garlic bread was delicious and cheesy. The pina colada was good but overpriced for the size. The service was excellent. Erika took care of me and she did a great job. Checked on us regularly and was very accommodating. She brought my review from a 3 to a 4. Thanks for a good experience!

Original Buffalo secret sauce-1 bottle of franks, 1 stick of butter, 1 package of good seasons mix. Food is good. 5 stars for the Nostalgia.

Horrible; atmosphere sucks we were seated by door place was half full. Took the order order, two pizza's small, wings and fries. Honestly food was horrible we sent one pizza back burnt bottom white pizza, second chicken wing pizza floating sour tasting blue cheese sauce was the only taste. Won't even talk tell you how bad the fries were. Please worst 100 bucks I've ever spent never ever going back to maple dr anchor bar

We reserved for a large group and was pleasantly surprised by the fast and friendly service. Food arrived fast! We ordered wings and a burger and a couple of apps. The burger and chicken (Caesar salad) was a bit dry but was tasty. The fries were yummy and seasoned well. Wings were awesome and the kids loved them! Highly recommended!

This is still my favorite place for wings. I really like the Maple Rd. location. I came here one evening with my family members for trivia night. It was so much fun. They have a great variety of different flavored wings. Right now, my favorite is garlic parmesan.

They could done better. Fries are perfect, but the beef slices and wings are a bit dry. The service is great. $25/ per person.

Got the wings and weck. Medium wings were ok. Ordered to go and they didn't include blue cheese or celery. Wings were not soaked in sauce but I was questioning if there was sauce on them at all. Fries were ok. Weck came with no horseradish. Not much flavor in the beef and bun was just ok. Got the pizza rolls. They were the best part of the meal. Duffs blew the wings and weck here out of the water.

First off, there are no negatives in regards to the staff. They are just working here and doing their best. That said, the owner of this establishment needs to resign. They clearly have no heart in the game. Let someone take over who actually wants to serve good food. The wings were dry and tough to eat. And this is a wing place. There is no room for sub-par overcooked wings. That's the entire point in coming here. The fries were mediocre. I also had the sampler. This was mediocre as well. The atmosphere was fine, nothing special, but nothing bad either. Seriously, I don't know if it's just this location, but don't come here for wings.

I recently took my son and his buddy to Anchor Bar while we were in town for a hockey tournament. The hostess was exceptionally kind, and helpful as she seated us, and checked on us multiple times to see that we were being taken care of. Our waitress was great! She made one small mistake, as our appetizers came out with our mains, but she was apologetic and sincere. The food was great. My son's friend had the wings, and they lived up to their reputation. This is the place that invented Buffalo wings after all. I had a beef dip that was fantastic, and my son had the Buffalo chicken mac and cheese. I'll warn you...don't go here expecting healthy. But if you're looking for a good place to eat some comfort food while watching the game, this is it.

Love the Buffalo wings but not so much of the boneless wings (more like chicken nuggets). Favourite dish is the broccoli cheddar soup! Love it so much that I ordered a second bowl!

It was okay. The wings were surprisingly dry with too little sauce. Taste was nothing special. Bleu cheese served in pre-portioned plastic cups; I don't know if that's normal but it felt lazy. Queso appetizer was watery and kinda bland. Service was friendly and professional though.

My daughter is now in UB, and this is our favorite spot to eat when we’re in the neighborhood. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, great food, and their piña colada slush became a favorite of mine.

stopped in for late dinner after BILLS game. a large menu and drink selection. I had the beef on weck and the wings, with the hot BBQ sauce, did not disappoint. friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. will definitely return.

Take out wings are always tricky, but they were very good. The hot was like a medium to me, but I love super spicy wings. The dry rubs are great and the unique sauces are also a nice change of pace from a traditional buffalo wing. Tow people checked to make sure I was taken care of while waiting for my order and they were all very friendly.

Pretty good wings. They claim to be the first Buffalo Wings place and the Wings do live up to the billing. Tried a couple of the local New England beers and they were good too.

Great wings, many flavors. The other food was very greasy. The tuna melt, cheese sticks, and cheese fries were all overly greasy. The wings were great though.
