The food is absolutely fabulous. I have had Gnocchi at several other places in Texas. I must say this was my favorite with the meat sauce. My girlfriend got the Vodka Bolognese dish and also said it was awesome. We are from Texas on a girls trip, I read the reviews on this place, they were very good. Suzie was our waitress, she was running around very busy with only one other waitress in the place helping people. I overheard Suzie tell another table they were 3 people down tonight so that explains the frantic from her voice. It’s not the waitresses fault they had no help tonight and on a Wednesday they were very busy. We did have reservations. My friend and I both felt neglected by our waitress, she would rush by and say one minute and again one minute we kept waiting, she finally got our drink orders. We kept waiting on our bread with butter. Our drinks came still no bread I had to ask for it then when it did come out it was room temperature not hot and crispy. Any Italian restaurant I have ever been to the bread is always heated through. The hostess and another young girl filled our water glasses or that would not have happened. Maybe next time the restaurant is so short staffed they could get temp people in that have waitress or waiter experience to help out.

Absolutely delicious! The salad dressing was so amazing I loved the sweetness of it. The bread was fresh and the portions are large. Celebrated my birthday meal on the advice of a local and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was romantic and lovely. Felt we were transported into a calming place to enjoy each other’s company. The staff was mostly friendly, but the food is the best I’ve had in a long time. I would suggest reservations and parking can be a bit of a challenge, but worth it.

This is a very nice Italian restaurant with excellent food. Our server Kayla was super friendly and helpful. For an appetizer we choose the fried Gnocchi which was enough for two. It was very good. We had the chicken parmesan which came with a soup or salad but we choose salad which was very fresh with a variety of lettuce along with tomatoes and carrots. Their house dressing was excellent. The chicken came with pasta which had an excellent sauce. For dessert we had the lemon sorbet that was the perfect finisher. This is a somewhat upscale restaurant with prices to match but well worth it. With drinks and wine and the food mentioned above it came to $75/person. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We met a random person at the Seneca casino, she was adamant that we try Fortunas. I am so happy we did, it was like stepping back in time to Sunday dinner at Grandmom’s house. The eggplant parmigiana was excellent and the veal cutlet with gnocchi was tender and delectable. Our server, Kayla made the experience so wonderful. I wish we could have met the chef or owner to thank them. Try Fortunas and save room for dessert.

I really wanted to like it here. This was my second time coming to Fortuna . The first time was amazing. My husband and I drove up from Northern Virginia to attend our grandson's hockey tournament in the Buffalo area. We decided to take a few hours to ourselves and go to Fortuna for an early dinner this past Saturday. My husband ordered the ravioli which was excellent. He encouraged me to get the gnocchi since it was homemade. Honestly, I couldn't eat but a few bites. Gnocchi means "little pillows" in Italian and these were anything but. Whoever made these used way too much flour. They were tough and chewy. I make these often at home and know exactly what they did wrong. I got up to tell the manager and she didn't offer me a dinner replacement, but thanked me for the information. I'd probably come back, but stick to something safe like spaghetti. The sauce was really good, however.

Outstanding food cooked to perfection. Surf and turf was outstanding lots of food for the price. So in my opinion was very worth it . In todays day and age everything has increased so I feel the price was fair. Service was excellent the servers were on top of refills asking if everything was ok. Atmosphere was very nice it has an Italian renaissance look and feel. Parking is adequate next to restaurant in a fenced in lot. I highly recommend Fortunas for a nice evening out with friends and family or even as business or party event. You will not be disappointed.

Awful experience, service was slow, the food in great size portions but tasteless, even the “famous” fried gnocchi was horrible, and left in the plate, the marinara sauce was disappointing and bland. The space is big but has been kept in history. Tasted more like fried fast American food than Italian herbs and fresh cuisine, with the price of a gourmet restaurant. Worst place in the area.

I had lasagna with meat sauce and my mom had ravioli with cheese and meatballs. The pasta is homemade and delicious. The Italian bread is awesome. Very nice atmosphere. So glad we had the opportunity to dine there. We will definitely go back.

Everything was very good! I had veal picatta which I would highly recommend. I wanted to try the gnocchi or ravioli since they are homemade, but saw on the menu that you can buy them frozen to take home so that's what I did. I was with 4 people and everyone loved their salad and entrée. The calamari was good but served with a duck sauce instead of marinara sauce. I was slightly disappointed with the garlic cheese toast as it was a very small portion. Overall, it was a great experience. You have to he very careful in this neighborhood. I went outside to smoke and got locked out of the restaurant. I knocked on the door and the hostesses ignored me because the restaurant had closed. I was terrified 😨 and had to start pounding on the windows to get back in. Time to quit!

This has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. Aside from the nostalgia factor, the food is absolutely perfect. For meat eaters, I recommend one of the many veal dishes. For the vegetarians, there are many pasta dishes to chose from. For those with gluten allergies, (like myself), your main dishes will either consist of penne or you can choose other combinations. The restaurant is extremely clean, the staff very polite, and parking is ample for the size of the restaurant. You can also park on the street, if needed. PERFECT for first dates. Very intimate. Get yourself a quart of sauce to hold you over before your next visit.

Beautiful and nostalgic environment. Delicious food choices. Our server forgot to refill our glasses then filled them as she brought the check. She seemed to hurry us a bit ... we came early, so that was surprising. But overall, we were delighted with the experience.

The waitress was good, but we waited 1hr. and 15 minutes after ordering for our food. They must have been short staffed and the restaurant was full. The food was very good as usual. The waitress thanked us for our patience.

We went last night for dinner, nice environment, the service was really good. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was good. My brother order the lasagna but we all agreed that even it was tasty it had way too much sauce. In general food was ok, the bread they brought to the table was cold , they should have bring it warm.

Fried calamari was tender, fried gnocchi not my cup of tea. Service was good. Food was ok. It was freezing in there.

Lovely old school Italian restaurant…hidden gem! The food was beyond delicious and the ambiance and service were above par!

Celebrated a birthday there and the food was spectacular. Restaurant was a little noisy as we were placed in a partial enclosure with a group of 12 though there was room elsewhere. Wait staff was very attentive.

Great Sunday dinner atmosphere. My husband was so crazy about the caponata he ordered three pints for takeout. Wide variety, from steaks to pasta. It's just off Pine Ave.

Not the best Italian food I've ever eaten but a solid option for a somewhat upscale Italian restaurant experience. The menu has lots of options unless you are vegetarian, in which case your options are more limited. The greens and beans with mushrooms were very good!

Veal parmigiana was the best I have ever had...smothered in a gravy that literally made me cry for mama.... We seated at 8 pm on a Sunday. Service was excellent the Super Tuscany was delicious... The only house made dessert they had left was lemon creme cake and it was stellar ....super legit lemon curd....the cannoli is not house made and tastes like it. Coffee is great. They have been in business for over 70 years and for good reason.

I went to dinner with my mother this evening, and the food was delicious! I had the chicken soup, gnocchi, and cannoli. The chicken soup was nicely seasoned with an ample amount of tender chicken and small balls of pasta. The gnocchi was fresh and the meat sauce was spicy! The cannoli was cheese based with a nice shell and whipped cream/chocolate sauce spread on the plate. The 2 cannolis were large and 1 would have been more than adequate. My mother had the house salad with balsamic dressing which she enjoyed. She then had the veal with spaghetti in tomato sauce, which she loved! She also had the cannoli. Although the bread was fresh, it would be best to either heat the bread or bring the butter to room temperature before serving. The service was very attentive. The room and bathroom were very clean and the white linen service was a nice touch! Fortuna's also has excellent A/C, which was very appreciated during this sweltering day! I tend to pick my restaurants during the late spring/ summer based on the A/C issue. I also think it is time for Fortuna's to open a restaurant in Grand Island, as we have an excellent market to cater to since many residents can afford their price point and many are of Italian descent. GI does not have a traditional Italian restaurant. We have Nouvelle Cuisine Italian, which is also excellent, but is a different category of food. 19th Street in Niagara Falls is not a suitable location for Fortuna's. We only go to Fortuna's during the daylight, as the neighborhood is quite dangerous. I can't wait to go back to Fortuna's!

Fabulous dinner. The veal caccitore was amazing. The red sauce was delicious and the meatballs were so tender. The hot bruschetta was unusual but very tasty. The leftovers were even better the second day.

Pleasant waitress and tasty food. Give 4 stars because of prices are a bit high for basic Italian food. But you do get good quality I just have a tough time paying that much for it.

Amazing! Great balanced flavor. Great atmosphere. Be aware the service is slow compared to tourist traps.. but enjoy your company, food, and experience!!!

My server was great. That's about the only good thing I can say about this place. I just had pasta and broccoli but it was swimming in oil. They used frozen broccoli and the pasta was just poor quality and the garlic was over powering. For the quality it's ridiculously over priced. Maybe some of the more popular dishes are worth it but I wouldn't recommend it and I won't be going back.
