Worse customer service ever. Owner was rude when we asked for gratuity fee. She said you have to pay 20% extra fee as a gratuity charge. She said what if you guys don’t tip? I said we pay for our food and serving is a part of your job not stealing a money from customer without inform them. I am also reporting this to city of Niagara. Never ever visit this place. Kindly avoid it

I recently had the opportunity to dine at The Guru Restaurant. However, I must say that my experience fell short of expectations. Firstly, the food was not up to par with the prices charged. The quality and taste of the dishes did not justify the high rates, which was quite disappointing. To add to the disappointment, the traditional accompaniments for biryani, such as Riata or Salad/pickle, were missing from the order. Furthermore, to our surprise, we discovered that gratuity had been added to our bill without our knowledge. It's important for restaurants to be transparent about additional charges and inform customers in advance. Although the ambiance and service at were satisfactory, I cannot overlook the disappointing aspects of my dining experience. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for the restaurant to improve its offerings and communication with customers.

Wow, I really think this is the best food in Niagara! We weren’t super hungry, so we just ordered a few vegan appetizers. All of them were amazing and something I have truly never eaten before. A puffed rice-esque salad with crackers?! Hot sauce and onion with roasted peanuts!? It was all such a fun adventure with new plant based foods. The staff was friendly, we were right at the window to people watch, and left satiated. Couldn’t ask for more!

Visited Guru Indian Restaurant on our visit to Niagara Falls. The food was great. Chilli Momos was too good and Dal Makhani was the star. In desserts we loved the Badam Halwa, the sweetness was just apt for our palate. Next time when at Niagra do try out this restaurant if looking for Indian Food.

Worst experience. We recently visited that place for dinner. We ordered pani puri, they give us tiny bottle for 8 pani puri nd when we requested another they said it’s a charge. The lady was very rude. Only part of the food was on my table and we said without eating anything I will pay nd the lady food is ordered so we have to pay for full. On top she said finish bottle of one pani puri then we will give it more so basically they want customers to have one pani puri nd wait for 5-10 min for water and on top tasteless. From whole food we just had one pani puri nd she make us to pay for whole food which I was doing politely, from on point she started you have ego, you are served food on table. She didn’t stop until we started in same tone. Tasteless, not worth spending a penny there. If owner is polite we still at some point compromise but she was very rude. After reading reviews I’m glad we didn’t had the food lot of people complain food poisoning. We paid $55 for having nothing. I have learned lesson that don’t visit without reading reviews

This garbage place doesn't even deserve 1 star. The old owner lady at the counter is very rude and acts like she was forced to serve us. Doesn't seem like that old woman wants any customers, but I don't think she'll get any considering the taste of the food. Lots of insects flying and crawling around, with no actions taken to at least try getting rid of them. This dumpster of a restaurant should be shut down by the health department. Thanks, but no thanks for the bad experience. You could get much better food at other restaurants nearby. Don't support this trashcan.

I visited this restaurant the food was good. The service was little slow. The worse thing was they add gratuity by themselves in the bill. They charged $10 gratuity without asking. Which is not acceptable. So anytime you go to this restaurant. Please check the bill before paying and ask them why this gratuity is added. You can say no to it.

My kids and I all love Indian food and are always trying new places to compare and find the best. This was not the best but it was good. What we liked was the friendly staff and the taste of the Butter Chicken. We are not aficionados regarding authenticity but we know a good Butter Chicken when we taste it. It is our favourite dish. This Butter Chicken was good but not spectacular. The naan bread was good and the raita was ok. The negative takeaway for me was a drink called a „Fresh Lime Soda“, the portion sizes and the prices. The Fresh Lime Soda was not a refreshing Soda and Lime drink but was a Soda-Lime drink mixed with Garam Masala. I found it undrinkable and didn’t finish it; it cost $5. The Butter Chicken costs $15 and doesn’t come with rice; that costs an extra $5! That is ridiculous for a small portion of rice. In the end we paid $90 for three Butter Chicken dinners, one raita, two naan breads, two Cokes, and the undrinkable Lemon Soda drink. I have had worse but also much better and, most of all, better value for your money.

Worst food I ever had at Niagara Falls or in Canada. Food was not properly cooked and taste was bad. Moreover it is costlier and not worth for that taste. They are serving packaged juices and not the freshly prepared ones. They haven't even mentioned about that in their menu. They are revealing it only when asked. Giving 1 star as I can not give less than that. Also owner was rude and didnt respond properly when we asked about gratuity in the bill as it is of higher percentage ( 20% for 2 people ) which is insane.

This is my 2nd time here. 1st time was pre covid and today was post covid. The regular naan is $5 which is super expensive. The size of the naan is normal/ medium size. We eat $20 worth of just naan, which is more expensive than the dish itself. The soya chaap was below average in taste. They serve 7 pieces of momos a plate. Which were good to taste. Lamb Biryani was a little raw. The chicken korma was good in taste. We were expecting a bill of around $60 to $70. Soya chaap separate. I was shocked to see $81 total. Gratuity we paid $9. On asking the owner said it is mandatory. Which is wrong information. In Ontario, we can refuse Gratuity. This money does not go to the government. So Gratuity adds to the total amount and then gets taxed on top. They do not even put a note at the entrance that they charge for Gratuity! It was a complete surprise to us. Not worth an $81 meal for 3! Disappointed. Stealing money 💰. Nowhere in any Indian restaurants in Toronto do they charge Gratuity without letting customers know first what they will be paying for.

During my first trip to Niagara, I ordered takeout from Guru Indian restaurant—a quick tandoori chicken. Despite mixed reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food quality and inviting ambiance. I would definitely visit again.

Visited the place last week. Ordered malai kofta and garlic naan, veg momos. Food was good and made as we requested. Server was keen to suggest good options and was very hospitable. The kind of busy they were, they should have a bigger space to accommodate more customers at one time. Washrooms were in pathetic condition. Focus on Cleaning Highly recommended (including light fixtures).

One of the finest Indian Cuisine Restaurant in Niagara City. I have visited The Guru for lunch/dinner each time I visit Niagara Falls. It's located at the prime location as soon as you cross the Clifton Hill. The staff is extremely friendly. You get to taste the authentic Indian cuisine here. Would recommend to have the Biryani, Raita and Momos that's my go to order and trust me you'll never be disappointed. I would highly recommend and definitely revisit The Guru.

What a wonderful experience! The food was delicious. If you’re a couple, highly recommend the chicken platter for 45CAD. This was portioned perfectly for two people. The place was clean, service was fast. Nice family owned restaurant. Make this one of your stops at Niagara Falls when you come.

I went to Dine-in today. The taste , price and quality all are disappointing. They were unable to fulfill the expectations in term of quality. I ordered Mix veg and Daal makhni. In MIX veg , it was loaded with all frozen veggies and loaded with green peas . All the appetizers also were not satisfied. I would say prefer other places for dine-in instead of this.

We stopped here for dinner on our visit to Niagara falls. If we had read the reviews before, we wouldn't have stopped here. We got the Mulligatawny soup and that tasted a bit weird. For our mains we got butter naan with Lamb Vindaloo and Chicken Tikka masala. They gave us Chicken Vindaloo instead and by the time we got the Lamb Vindaloo we were done eating. The Vindaloo is very spicy. The chicken in both the curries tasted and looked weird. Wasn't sure if it had gone bad. We took Butter chicken to go and the chicken in that was Tandoori and it was pretty well cooked and tasted good. The service was all right, but if you have other choices it might be best to avoid this place. Portions are super small for the price you pay!

We ordered 2 chicken starter chicken chilli and chicken achari tikka. Both were tasty but chicken achari tikka was undercooked. One paneer starter which was good. Main course included garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, mutton curry, chicken biryani and veg biryani. Overall taste of food was good. Service was quick. Quantity of food is very less for the cost. We were 7 people hence per person around cost was 45 bucks.

The food was average. The fish pakora in starter was good. Pappar was very salty. Rotis were too oily. I’m not sure if I’m saying that because that’s how the food is not supposed to be or if I don’t have the taste for Indian cuisine. The ambience was good. Service was professional.

Destination for the food when you get craving to eat Indian food at Niagara falls . Worth waiting for 40 minutes to get our turn for dine in . Nice staff and owner to deal with. Loved the food 👍🏻

This place is pretty good, and we've gone here twice now. The servers were nice and everything was on time. The only issues were that the portions seemed overpriced for the cost (relative to other Indian restaurants) and the food was pretty mild.

We went there for lunch today. Dal makhni was very good and tandoori roti was good as well. Spring rolls were also very good. Washrooms are very bad thought and stink a lot, and this spoils the overall ambiance of this good restaurant.

Very delicious food! Loved their Methi Kulcha Paratha and bhindi sabji. Their service was excellent, they catered to our needs and provided Jain food options. Kulfi was served in adorable ceramic jars!
