👍👍 It’s been months since I’ve been to a museum but I’m glad I restarted my adventures here. While the exterior looks small, it’s bigger than you think. While still a relatively small museum I was able to spend nearly 2.5 hours there. The staff are very knowledgeable and very polite. It’s also not ever... People often mention museum, history, great, aviation, Walter, area, tour, visit, time, guide,

I've been to this area a hundred times and somehow missed visiting this museum until now. Who knew? What a great way to find out about the local aviation history. Dave, our guide, was amazing. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience wonderful.

It’s also not every day you get to see wreckage of a WW2 fighter plane that was flown by the Soviets.

Much more than you bargain for, you won't leave without enlightenment. Walter is top notch in the tour guide industry. We feel blessed to have spent the day with him. Through his knowledge and expertise, he was able to capture several hours of attention from both ourselves and our children and several other adults. He is truly a walking encyclopedia of the history and industry that can't be matched. Please visit and ask for Walter.

Amazing museum! Staff is VERY knowledgeable and friendly, they have plenty of artifacts from Bell and other WNY Aerospace companies, some of which you won't even find in the Smithsonian. Small venue, but chock full of displays. They also have educational exhibits and guest speakers. If you are into aviation or have a school aged child who is into STEM, you need to check this place out and bookmark the website!

History came alive! The stories you hear and the aircraft to go along with the stories are amazing! We'll definitely come back again!

This was an awesome find. On our trip to Niagara Falls we decided to stop by here and it was an awesome history of how planes are connected to the area. The people working there are so nice and knowledgeable. We were able to go on a tour and we learned so much!

The Museum was setup neatly, there was a lot of care put into the displays many of which were made by the museums flight club. The staff was remarkable. Our tour guide “Walter” knew absolutely everything about the museum and was a great person to speak with about aviation in general. Erik working the front desk was also helpful giving a brief history of the museum. I would recommend taking the opportunity to visit.. especially for those interested prewar and WWII Aviation.

Super cool. I could not believe that this place exists in WNY. Fantastic experience. Erik and Walter were there, ready willing and able to answer all questions about the exhibits. Shockingly few people know it's here. And it's their loss.

A small but great museum for the aviation enthusiasts. Buffalo/Niagara Falls has more important aviation history than people realize.

This is one of the attractions in the area that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. They have a play area for kids and even have a flight simulator. I like how they have a historical and in some cases technical specs poster next to most of the exhibits. It’s right next to the airport runway and they have a great view of it so you can see planes landing and taking off as well. For the price it is definitely worth it. Their gift items are priced quite reasonably and they have books on sale as well.

Went to visit this unknown museum on a Sunday and ended up spending the whole day there! What a great gem! The museum has a (small) collection of planes from the early 1900s to WWII to rocket engines and helicopters. Our docent Walter was one of the most knowledgeable docents I've met at any museum, and as a former pilot added lots of insight. The collection has lots of references and photos of the connection of the aviation industry to the Buffalo region. Who knew that Consolidted Aircraft, makers of the B-24, started in Buffalo? Who knew that all the X planes, from the X1 to the X15, were designed by Bell in Niagara Falls? Will definetely be going back for another visit soon!

Interesting aviation exhibits and nice view of the local airport from inside. The museum is not too big so an hour is more than enough to see everything at a leisurely pace.

The museum is only open on weekends so I couldn't go inside. There are big windows in front however and they have a number of interesting exhibits inside. Definitely worth a look if you find yourself in the area on a weekend.

Wonderful intimate setting to learn about the history of aerospace in Niagara, including WWII production, prototype aircraft, and modern day aeronautics and aerodynamics research. Dave was a great guide and was happy to answer all our questions like we were old friends. He talked us through the development of the aircraft in the Niagara area then allowed us to explore on our own. Recommended for adults and families alike!

Wish I could give a higher rating as this is a nonprofit museum with volunteer staff who were all friendly and knowledgeable. They have amazing pieces and the aviation history of Western New York is important. The venue is too small and too cramped for the collection. The displays are often out of chronological order. Too many signs are placed too high or too far for a person in a wheelchair to see. There are beautiful photos which are blocked by other displays. They have one photo-op display, but it is only for an adult. A child-size display would be appreciated. Definitely a must-see, but I do not recommend it for children.

Suck an incredible place to visit. The amount of history here is absolutely incredible. The planes, helicopters, and models are absolutely amazing. Well worth the visit.

Came to take a tour of the museum, it's a great hidden gem on the incredible aerospace history western New York has. I'm a big engineering and history nerd, so I was very thankful that Walter offered to give a guided tour. He was incredibly well read and technologically knowledgeable about all of the flight and space hardware they have on display. I wish I had more time to speak with Walter, but I will return soon to soak up more of the history and see the museum.

$10 adult admission, $5 military and other discounts that I forgot already. But price was great for an hour and a half reading everything and seeing versions of planes, helicopters, training systems, rockets, and equipment. At the end was a children's area and a flight simulator and landing simulator to try your hand at. There was a tour guide but he was occupied with another guest so another man shared what he knew with a car mechanic background, which fit well with the displays and enhanced our visit anyways. Parking free and basically a covered walkway in so it's good on rainy or snowy days. I was fascinated by the emphasis on Buffalo history and how much happened here and in New York in general.

If you have interest in the local influence on flight in our country, then you will enjoy this museum. So much local history here! Knowledgeable guides who genuinely love the topic.

Wow a lot of local history of flight for the western New York area. Walter was a wealth of information and made the visit fun.

I can’t remember the docent’s name but he was so great while giving the tour to someone with developmental disabilities. Would really recommend.

This is a fantastic museum! My son and I travel to every Aerospace museum we can and this tour was incredible. It's not every day you find a docent from the area. Who's a pilot and was a history teacher and is so passionate about what he does. David Faix is a national treasure, and The Niagra Aerospace Museum is lucky to have him . He was very interactive with my son , directing questions to him and and just letting him become immersed in some of the interactive experiences. There are not a ton of experiences I that regard however there is a nice little children's area with various airplane related activities for any of your aviation kiddos. What also makes this museum great is the incredible view of the run ways right out back. You can see airplanes departing and arriving of various sizes and types all day . Not to mention there is a whole section of correspondence, and historical documents on the other side which is very neat. Last but not least they have a P 39 that was salvaged from a lake near Norway and after 60 years it was brought home and a solider was finally laid to rest. It was a really neat story and to see this in a museum up close with all the pictures and to have all the history behind it was just special. Please be sure to make a point to visit this was such a wonderful experience . We need more people like David Faix who make experiences like this that much better. Thank You Niagara Aerospace Museum, we will be back !

I had one of the best experiences in my life into a museum. The collection is very wide, the way how is organized touch a lot of steps in the aviation history, and Walter, the guide, explained everything with knowledge and enthusiasm. He touched complicated topics with an easy and immediate semplicity with examples and homemade models. He also jumped in technical details on all stuff inside the museum, with a very competent attention to the mechanical of the engines and physical phenomena. Impressive knowledge of the worldwide and local aviation's industry it's another important aspect that make the difference. The shop also give you an opportunity to have fun with gadgets or exhaustive collections of books and magazines to buy.
