Wonderful! Loved the beauty and creativity displayed at the Niagara Parks Botanical Garden. It's free to roam the grounds, other than parking. But if you have the Yearly Pass for Niagara Falls, you can park for free here.

It's a lovely botanical garden. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, large and well kept. There are many different areas. I particularly liked the rock garden as well as rose and vegetable gardens. The benches are situated in a way that they are always in the shade, even on a hot summer day. Be prepared to spend good two hours there. The best part is that gardens are free to visit!

What a beautiful, well kept garden. So many different varieties of both sun and shade plants. I was mostly interested in shade plants for my shady yard. We took a casual stroll around the grounds and enjoyed the beautiful weather of Ontario. I highly recommend stopping by for a leisurely walk, and checking out all of the different plants and flowers that thrive there. While you're there, check out the butterfly conservatory.

I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoy beautiful spring and some peace and quiet. I went there around 9 am and there were not many people around and it was beautiful. I took my dog for a walk and it was so peaceful. It started getting busy around 10 am and the parking was almost full by 12pm. I suggest going in the morning because it was so peaceful. All the staffs and workers were extremely helpful and friendly.

Don’t miss to visit this place when you’re in Niagara! It’s really peaceful and you could enjoy beauty of nature. I would recommend visiting this place during spring as most of the trees look great and picturesque! Biking trail is also available around the park, really unique experience to enjoy a weekend.

Absolutely gorgeous. I've been visiting Niagara for years now and this was the first time I took the bus all the way down here. There is such a variety of plants and spaces and explore without feeling rushed or dealing with a large crowd. The roses smelled incredible and the gardens were well maintained. 😍🌹 We will definitely come here again next time. P.S. There are restrooms and a café here.

I specifically visited for the butterfly conservatory, and it was truly delightful! The variety of butterfly species was impressive, and the conservatory was a perfect size for exploration. Families, couples, and friends were all enjoying themselves. The admission for adults was around $30. In addition to the butterfly conservatory, I took some time to explore the surrounding gardens, which were free to access. The gardens were charming and beautiful, featuring numerous hiking and biking trails. To top it off, there was even a jungle gym for added enjoyment. The staff at the venue were friendly, professional, and hardworking. With ample parking available, this is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. Overall, I highly recommend the experience!

Many prepossessing botanical gardens such as Shade garden, Vegetable garden, Herb garden, Rock garden, Rose garden, Parterre garden, and Woodland garden are spread in an about 100 acre area. It, also, encompasses a horticultural college. The gardens, in the proximity of Butterfly Conservatory, are attractive, educative, informative, and exhilarating. Depending upon your interest and availability of time, you can easily spend 2 - 4 hours. Surprisingly, not many people know that Niagara is not only about the incredible falls, but it is also a house of a lots of gardens and other attractions.

Do I recommend? Yes, 100%. Make sure to watch the video when you first enter. Once inside you’ll appreciate the first flight of the butterflies when they come out of the glass area. Also suggest you utilize the coat check so you can relax and enjoy this magical place. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. I toured twice and took my time and was there for about 1:15 minutes. Tons of butterflies everywhere. It’s like a mini tropical vacation.

We were there in November and it is not a perfect time to visit there. However, I think if you are in Niagara falls and you visited that, you should see this place too👌 Also you can use benches and tables to have cup of coffee or a snack 🥨 As my experience, there is one of most beautiful 0laces in Niagara falls 👍 If you are there, you can visit butterfly conservatory too🌺

Beautiful, well designed and organized place to visit. We were there a few years ago and it’s always been a wonderful memory. It had the orchard show at the moment. And the staff were super friendly and patient in explaining things to us. Hope we get to visit again soon.

Lovely and warm, educative environment resembling the natural habitat of these butterflies. They appear very well taken care of. Information on all you need to know about butterflies are everywhere you look.

This is the first season this has been open since COVID shutdown. What a beautiful collection of gardens! We were so impressed. Best thing we saw in Niagara Falls ( other than the falls). Immaculate gardens. Bring a picnic, spend the day. Did I mention it's free! The buses run up there every 15 minutes. Add this to your to do list in Niagara Falls.

What a nice place to visit. You can spend several hours walking around among so beautiful flowers and trees. Best time to visit? Late April to end of May. Flowers blooming. But you have to pay for the parking. Must see.

Absolutely beautiful grounds to stroll for an afternoon. Interesting separation of areas by different plant types along with plenty of open grass spaces. Technically free aside for parking and the butterfly exhibit, which is absolutely worth the price of admission.

Very lovely garden. Everything is labelled (wish they were a bit clearer). There is a map at the main entrance but after that you’re on your own. However, it’s pretty easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and helpful. Garden categories are well thought out. If you are interested in plants and flowers, it’s the place to see!

Very beautiful place, fresh, relaxing and comfortable for us to walk around. The garden is so big and full of pretty plants and flowers. Staff is very nice at the entrance, patiently explained the parking fee and annual pass. We stayed at the tourist area of Niagara most of the time, just that this time came to this side because I bring my dog and want to walk with him. Unbelievable, will definitely come back in the future.

Very big park with lots of gardens and beautiful flowers. Beautiful trees and fountains. Pretty pond as well. Very peaceful place to visit with very little tourists on a weekday. Children were running straight through the garden beds though, which is not necessarily the fault of the gardens.

Rose garden is a must visit place in Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens during summer time. This parks is beautiful place for nature lovers. If you happen to visit Niagara for being close to nature check this place. There are lots of parking options both in the front and back of the garden. Parking is enforced Monday- Sunday 6am-11:59pm. $3 for every 1hr. You can use Parkedin app for parking payments. There is a butterfly conservation center within the botanical garden premises. A deer came to see me...keeping its distance!

I visited the butterfly conservatory and it was beautiful . I'm looking forward to going back and walking around outside exploring the gardens on a nice sunny day. The butterfly conservatory has tons of beautiful butterflies of all different sizes and colours in a tropical atmosphere inside with incredible plants and flowers, even seen turtles and koi fish When I was leaving the butterfly conservatory I actually bought a nice Niagara Falls souvenir jacket from their gift shop.

Beautiful place to come visit, especially if you're already in the area. There's a gated parking entrance with an attendant. We came on the annual Niagara parks parking pass, so parking was included but I think they charged $6 to park. We strolled around there for roughly 2 hours. It's very diverse and easy to just get intentionally lost and discover new areas. Any plant lovers will definately enjoy this garden.

All in all I thought this was a very nice Botanical Garden even though they didn't have a indoor Conservatory kind of like you see in the states. Although maybe the butterfly Conservatory kind of filled in for that but I thought it was lacking an actual Greenhouse atmosphere to see plants. Other than that the grounds were very beautiful. Even though there was nothing in bloom I can imagine this place bursting with colors and smells in the spring and summertime and in the fall. Definitely a place I would love to come back to when everything is blooming. It was just very nice as a day trip from Rochester to come up and check them out. The butterfly exhibit is about $19 Canadian and definitely worth the price there are plenty of butterflies in there to see just watch where you walk as they do like to hang out on the pathways. Very nice gift shop as well.

It was such a beautiful & calming experience! The weather was the best but the gardens were just amazing. I am already planning another visit when I return to Niagara next spring. My favourites were the Redwood trees ❤️

This is the crown jewel of the Niagara Parks gardens. A center of excellence that is the home of one of the most highly respected horticulture schools worldwide. It's a beautiful location for weddings and other special events, and even just to visit. There's always something blooming!

Absolutely beautiful. The only downside to the whole experience is the limited capacity thing. We kind of rushed it. I would say a visit after the pandemic is over is in order. Bring a high quality camera if you have one. High end phones work well. A SLR with a telephoto lens will let you pick off some really nice shots from one location. I unfortunately didn't bring my SLR and had to make do with my phone.

When we visited, the place was not busy. Maybe because it was already late in the afternoon. It is well-maintained and fun to walk tho but we were not able to see the butterflies. We need to visit again some other time.

Nice place to visit. parking is paid $10/hour. the garden is free to watch. there are guided tours $8/person. they do group tours as well. there is small cafe as well. lots of variety of plants, vegetable, herbs and roses. the butterfly conservatory inside is paid $17/person. must visit. we have visited Niagara before but never new such beautiful garden existed.

This is a cool place to visit if you have time. Butterflies flying all around you and they will land on you, so be prepared!

We came to the botanic gardens to see tulips in bloom (there are amazing tulips in Niagara-on-the-lake in this time of the year), but to our disappointment there were none in the botanic gardens. They told us that they no longer plant tulips because of deer. The gardens are nice, but there were very few things in bloom, mostly rhododendrons. They appear to have a great collection of roses, so it may be worth a visit later in season when roses are in bloom.

Well worth a visit if you are in the Niagara region. The butterfly sanctuary was out of this world and the mature botanical gardens were peaceful, varied and relaxing.

I come here every year for the cherry blossom trees. The park is really nice and clean. There's a butterfly conservatory which is cool to see as well. If you visit, try to get there in the morning because the place gets pretty busy and loud at about noon.

It's a magnificent and beautiful garden with various flora and fauna and veg gardens and trails inside. It's very well maintained and very clean. It's located on the outskirts and reachable via public transport too . Each section of the garden has something special for the season..we went on SPRING and had a really good time there. It has a cafe too inside. You can have a good walk exploring natural beauty and yes washroom is available too

It was beautiful here. I did not go to the butterfly conservatory because the line up for that was massively long. It was during weekend so understandable. We brought our dog here and it was so nice. All the plants and trees were so pretty. It was well taken care of. The only thing is that price for parking has increased to $5 per hour.

  • 5/5 Cindy D. 1 year ago on Google
Just walking through the park on such a beautiful day was nice. Parking was $3/hr. We saw many different animals and just took in nature. We did pay for the butterfly 🦋 conservatory but even without that, it was worth the visit. The great place to breathe.

Amazing place to come and just hang out with nature. So many things to see and so well maintained. Love the student gardens and the rose garden. Had so much fun checking everything out with my wife. Definitely recommend! Even if you have gone, go again! Only down side is parking is $5/hr.

My daughter was home from school for reading week and this is one of her favorite places to visit. Luckily my other daughter was also able to come with us. It's warm in here lol, so wear clothes you can strip off when inside. The butterflies are everywhere!!! Amazing to see them all! Especially in the different stages. Definitely worth the trip

  • 5/5 Alicia C. 1 year ago on Google
Access to the garden is free. The butterfly conservatory and parking is paid, with parking fees being hourly. Restrooms are available in the park and at the butterfly conservatory. The park itself is beautiful with a short walking trail that is dog friendly. A fountain with an enclosed garden can be found in the middle. Lots of older buildings can be seen as well. Great for photos!

  • 5/5 Sven L. 1 year ago on Google
Free admission to the gardens, but you have to pay for parking. This is a nice area, with some hidden gems. It was a bit wet the day we visited, but we still enjoyed it. There are several different areas, including a rose garden, a more formal style garden, a rock garden, vegetable garden and more. There also is a more natural, Prarie style area and a small pond. Well worth exploring to find all the little touches.
