We’ve been to every haunted house in the area and let us say that this one is by far the best out of all! You basically need to navigate your way through the course of tight turns and narrow hallways in pitch black with genuinely terrifying jump scares all around and some thoughtful props / traps. None of the other places compare to here. This house was much longer and had our adrenaline rushing the whole time. At the end they even shared some hilarious pictures of us taken throughout the course which we ended up buying because they were priceless! Don’t bother with the other places as this one is 100x better than all the others combined. Friendly staff and short lines.

Had to give this place 5 Stars cause I way underestimated how the experience would be. I was with someone who typically would not do any type of haunted house but because of how slow it was at the place during our visit and how quite it looked we felt it wouldn't even be scary... However we for sure were wrong. The service was nice and quick we got our tickets right away and were able to go right in. It was extremely dark the whole time and mostly had us following red dots which made it scary as that is all we could see until something hopped out. It was a good time though, Thanks for having us!

Had an absolute BLAST. I have never been so scared before in my entire life. It's also so cheap! I highly recommend people who can handle a bit of a scare to check this place out. 10/10

Not really my type of excitement, but it was fun to do something out of your comfort zone. My friend wanted to do some type of horrror experience at Niagara Falls, and stumbled upon this one after having lunch. Located outside of the main tourist attractions, Nightmares provides one unique experience with many unexpected twists and turns. Once you get throughthe entrance, the fear comes along. What seemed to be okay at first instantly becomes a fear for your life experience. I just wanted to cover my eyes all the time, but my friend insisted that I keep them open... It's not my thing to get scared, but I did find Nightmares to be enjoyable. There were parts that got my heart beating real fast, and the staff are such wonderful people. Hope you enjoy a good scare, it might make things more lively at Niagara Falls!

My boyfriend and I visited on a Friday evening during our one night stay at the falls. He’s from Toronto and I’m from Washington state. Price for admission was extremely reasonable, I believe it was $15 per ticket. We paid and only waited maybe 5 minutes, there was no line. I was completely caught off guard by the pitch black. Every other haunt I’ve been to has had some kind of dim light or strobe light. This one didn’t and it definitely messed with me, psychologically. I love scary things and haunted houses. I’m disappointed in myself for almost wanting to chicken out. I have pretty severe anxiety and this place really fed into it, (which is what scary things are supposed to do!) I enjoyed the actors and the voices and sounds they made. I have no idea how long it took us to walk through but I’m guessing it was about 20 minutes because the two of us were trying to be very cautious lol. The pictures cost $8 for one, from what I remember— which isn’t too bad. We didn’t buy the pictures but we each got a really cool looking T-shirt! The guy at the register was nice, good customer service. This is the best haunted house I’ve ever been to! I would definitely go again. I hope I get to visit again! I would not recommend bringing young kids here. I also would not recommend for anyone that has claustrophobia.

It was fun. I didn’t think it was scary, but I’m a grown adult and love horror and such. You will walk through a lot of darkness for sure, but not many things jumped out at you or scared you. It was fun though.

100% amazing!!! Have full plans to come back here with some scardy cat friends! Went through with a group of teenagers are my friend was too scared to go at the time.. (that will be changing😈) and we got 5minutes in before this group wanted to call it quits.. I got pushed to the front and they followed me gripping onto my sweater and be the targets of the actors regardless of being in the back🤣🤣 the thing that gets you as they take your picture is freaking amazing! I was talking to the employees and apparently they change it up here and there! So can’t wait for my next visit to see what it’s like!

Awesome place. Definitely recommend for people that love haunted houses. Really scary and not too short but also not too long. I usually don't enjoy this kind of stuff but this was an awesome experience. Everyone that works there is awesome and definitely knows how to play their part. Luckily I wasn't one to chicken out!. I would say it was just a little too dark for me but other than that it was really cool. And while you are waiting in line you hear some of the noises from other people and the sound effects which really play on your psych. I really enjoyed it 👍!!

Easily the best haunted house I've ever been to. Was incredibly creative and designed extremely well. Definetly not for the faint of heart and I can see why over 100,000 people chickened out. One of the highlights of our trip for sure.

Update: my husband and I used the tickets the next day and we made it through! It was a lot of fun to do together, we really enjoyed it and thought it was very well done! One chicken has redeemed herself! Not going to lie - we got the chicken out card! We didn’t even make it around the first corner when my 14 year old daughter had enough - she now knows in the spectrum of fight, flight or freeze she is a “freezer” ;0) We are going to try again ;0)

Not that scary, only problems had were not being able to see where I was going. Just a few audio jump scares. Nothing to chicken out over, the anticipation is more than the event

I'm a thrill seeker I wanted to try this one. They were really hyping up I need to crawl at the end after everything and many people chickened out. Which I loved it. I finished it pretty quickly. But I enjoyed every moment of the experience. For sure it will be really scary for the people don't like nightmares and may get chickened out. But everyone should try this experience 100 percent worth it. Thank you for a great experience

Cool place if you are not affraid of the dark. They say 150 000 chickened out, I doubt that. Anyway I had fun and they got me a few times!

Please do not waste your money on this. Its not scary at all, maybe its good for kids. I appreciate the effort taken by the team members working there. Try to come up with something different & scary.

I think the people writing reviews are being way too harsh, and i think they are genuinely trying to be like “cool” acting like they didnt get scared. The entire experience is in pitch blackness with a lot of loud noises and air blasts, and there are visual scares, and lots of things that touch you. I see alot of reviews saying “its just a 15 minute walk with the odd quiet noise”. The noises are LOUD and they definitely scare you. What other haunted houses in niagara take a good 15-20 minutes to walk through? None. Its a really great experience that is definitely different than the rest. Check it out if you havent already, and if you already have, go through it again, they change it up every time. Ive been through 3 times and it was different each time. Great experience.

I had heard a lot about this place. It was fun! But I expected more. Don’ get me wrong it is fun! And it is a must. But don’ expect something you know, that special. BTW make sure you check with the employees if you have any phobia. I believe there is an experience there in one part that they should definitely check before letting players in. I do understand they don’ want to spoil it. But it’s not professional not to mention such essential factor.

Here on our honeymoon, decided to Visit some Haunted houses while in Niagara. This place is really good, very dark, had us sweating from start to end, and guessing all the way through. Its loud, flashy lights and very interactive. Staff does a good job and you get to take a little something home to remember them. No complaints here, would recommend.

Maybe I expected too much from the reviews but this was one of the worst scary houses I've been to. Not scary at all and they made the inside too dark so people can't even see ANYTHING. Very disappointed and I would not recommend it if you are actually looking for a good scary house. Don't waste money on this. Level 1 out of 10.

The place was nice and it's a different kind of haunted house than the typical. however we went in a group of 7 and it definitely wasn't worth it. this place is meant for couples. Any more than 3 people at a time will not be scary for the people following. simply go on 2 separate groups and don't let them force you to go all at once. Plus i thought it was overpriced. overall if you are going in with only 1 or 2 other folks this is a great experience.

Went with my cousins here, I had a blast laughing at my family getting scared. They went expecting me to protect them I was setting them up for my own entertainment the entire time and this place didn’t disappoint with the jump scares at all.

It wasn't like i expected but I'm pretty sure they had to change a few things because of covid and the 2 meters rule. The voice acting was creepy and cool there was some interesting things but I'm pretty sure that once covid is done, this place will step up their creepy game! My brother and i, had a good time anyway.

We've been to other haunted houses in this area before, and it wasn't worth the money. But this one!!! 😄 Omg it was awesome! I will return again and bring more friends. Only 3 three rules: follow the red lights, stick together, and scream "Nightmares" if you want to chicken out. At one point, I thought I was going to have to chicken out because we were left in suspense. You couldn't see a thing, and you had no idea what was coming next. Just keep in mind that you may have to crawl or stoop down low for a few steps during your experience. Best haunted house in Niagara. Great planning went I to this.

So I visited this place because of high rating. My experience wasn’t great, when you visit the place you can see all stuff highlighted don’t be chicken or safe word but for me, it didn’t felt scary enough. We were group of 5 and I was last person so all the jump scares were only experienced by first 2 person and rest were like ok that person is getting fear so there is something. Though it was good experience in complete darkness. When I saw my photo at the end I was laughing in it.

I have not been here in a few years, but I still gush about it to this day. Well crafted, acted, and and executed haunt. They took a simple concept (total darkness) and absolutely perfected it. I sincerely cannot wait to visit the Great White North again just to revisit this five star haunt. The pictures at the end of my wife and I in darkness, her cowered and clinging behind me, and myself with my arm outstretched, grinning ear to bloody ear… priceless.

I genuinely had a great time, sounds ironic since the place is meant to scare the heck out of you but it really was an amazing experience. I went with my friends and all of us were constantly on edge the entire time and was always caught off guard by the jump scares. By the end of it, most of us agreed it was our favourite experience at Niagara Falls so I highly recommend coming here. Also, the person at the front desk was very kind and answered all our questions nicely. I hope to come here with my friends again in the future :)

We came in confident as we love haunted walkthroughs as they usually seem pretty easy but soon realized that this place is actually a little scary and it sits at the top as one of THE BEST experience ever (at least in Ontario). Not sure why someone would ever complain about this place. It is designed perfectly. The jump scares, the suspense, the lighting, the anticipation, and the atmosphere are all very good. Me and my partner have a high tolerance for creepy stuff but if you are new or get scared easily then you are in for an unexpectedly scary time. So glad we came across this and we have matching t shirts to go along with our successful survival!

Not gonna lie, this by far was the scariest haunted house I’ve been to. From the entrance to exit, my heart was pounding. I even closed my eyes when I was walking so I won’t see much because I was scared. But my partner and I finished it without saying the chicken word!! If you are in Niagara, you should give this place a try and try not to chicken out!!

  • 5/5 Rishabh D. 1 year ago on Google
It was fun! Had a good experience with friends, and it was a bit scary.. but also funny at the same time. It depends on the person. Some people might find it scary, and some people may not. I would recommend it if you're a person who likes to get jump scared, loud noises, darkness, etc. It was a decent experience.

  • 5/5 Gurminder S. 9 months ago on Google
Ignore any reviews that are less than 5. This place is amazing. We only lasted 5 mins as our kids almost pooped their pants and we had to use the escape word. Very well done and I look forward to returning with more daring people to complete this walk of terror. Claustrophobic people.. be warned!! Loved it!

  • 4/5 Hana I. 1 year ago on Google
It was honestly more funny for me than scary. I didn’t get very frightened but it was still an enjoyable experience. The employees are really committed to their roles and it’s admirable. All the employees were very nice. Overall it was fun but not that scary. I recommend going somewhere else if you really want a fright. Don’t recommend it for anyone with claustrophobia because they do end up locking u in rooms in the dark.

  • 5/5 Janelle M. 9 months ago on Google
My friend and I literally lasted the entrance (it’s a pull not push). We walked in maybe 5-10 steps, someone jump scared us, and we immediately called the safe word 💀 The staff we super nice during the short moments of our experience haha! Tip: don’t ask if they can touch you, cuz they can and knowing that got into our heads!! Give us 1 year and we’re using that chicken card!

  • 5/5 Elizabeth M. 9 months ago on Google
Best haunted attraction in the area! Definitely the most scariest...

  • 5/5 Alexis R. 1 year ago on Google
I have never heard my fiancee so scared! I didn't get to see her scared because it is absolutely pitch black! Don't wear a hat, or you'll miss half the scares. All I feel I can say is, this is an absolutely intense experience and if you are interested in getting scared wit-less 😉 I highly recommend this place

  • 5/5 Cyleste J. 1 year ago on Google
Me and my fiance loved this! We love spooky houses and was very happy and satisfied with this one. Sad we don't have it closet to home. Definitely a must if you like the spook!

  • 5/5 Candice G. 1 year ago on Google
Not that expensive! $15/ person when bought online! Actually scary and not cheesy and they take a picture! Picture was only $8 and the t-shirts that said "I survived" were 1 for $15 or 2 for $20. The front desk staff was really nice and I love this haunted house. Definitely recommend!

  • 5/5 James Leonard C. 1 year ago on Google
I’m an avid haunted house seeker and Nightmares Fear Factory is one of the best out there. Was in a group of 6 but no one wanted to take a step forward nor does anyone want to be in the front nor the back. 100% worth!! The pictures are great too! Ps: book online for cheaper tickets!

  • 5/5 Steven D. 2 years ago on Google
I absolutely loved this place. It was totally better and different from the other frights in town. My girl friend was scared but made it!!

  • 5/5 cyber 2 years ago on Google
I went with my dad today and it was one of the scariest places I’ve ever been to. The only way I survived the house was holding on to my dads arm for dear life and singing. I would definitely go again but as a 13 year old I would never go alone. Half way through I felt like quitting but I didn’t. I definitely recommend this place for people who enjoy scary places. Though I wouldn’t recommend to people who have claustrophobia, it’s overall a great experience and seeing the photo of us getting scared after was super funny.

  • 1/5 Carlyn S. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely don’t recommend. Waited a long time just to get up there and it was pitch black and I could not see literally anything. They said to follow the red lights but there were just little red dots every few meters.

  • 5/5 Rose E. 2 years ago on Google
Went here with bf, I can’t believe how my bf so scared but for me it was just sooo dark and the noise , but not really scared scared. Still giving 5 starts for making my bf so scared plus I love the stolen shots they provide and souvenirs.

  • 1/5 Lin Z. 2 years ago on Google
I find it very hard to believe they've scared 80,000 people away with the way it is now. Saw in a previous review they scaled it down. This was 10 mins walking in the dark with the occassional loud noise and 2-3 actors occassionally coming out for the entire run. I was more afraid tripping over something than the actual experience. Fearfest at Wonderland has more kick than this and you get more bang for your buck

  • 4/5 Janice D. 2 years ago on Google
Had to wait 1.5hrs to enter - pretty expected for a Saturday in Niagara these days. But the haunted house itself was great! The walk-through is a good amount of time, compared to ones that go by really quick. It was actually scary which is important of course! Would definitely recommend but ideally when the wait isn't so long.

  • 5/5 Russ C. 2 years ago on Google
Not bad and does give you a scare in some places. Everything in the dark which works with a bit of sensory deprivation to assist in the fear aspect

  • 5/5 Ron C. 2 years ago on Google
A local recommended us check out this nightmare haunted house. They said it was the only one out of the three or five in the area worth paying for. We have a lot of fun and they did not charge an unreasonable amount for pictures at the end. I highly recommend

  • 3/5 peter b. 2 years ago on Google
Visited with the wife spend 45 min in the cold to get in there, they did say it's not as scary as before because obviously covid. Won't do it again though.

  • 4/5 Michael S. 2 years ago on Google
It was much better pre-COVID and hopefully it will improve over time but it's still a lot of fun. Without spoiling, this is a 10-15 minute attraction that uses darkness to prey on your own psychological fears. It's as spooky as Haunted Houses get in the Falls and is more geared toward 13+ than young kids. Best enjoyed at night time with a group of friends.
