Lovely church, very welcoming pastor and community, and they try to promote reverence and respect for Our Lord by encouraging proper church attire (sadly lacking in this day and age thanks to laziness and narcissism on the part of so many!).

A must-visit while in Niagara. Pull a bulletin off their website & attend a Mass, devotion, or activity. Wonderfully warm community that practices devout reverence with mercy & love. A true gem!

Just attended mass for the first time in a long time for the remembrance of a lost Aunt. As I was receiving communion, the priest told me to “dress for church”. I’m wearing a tube top and shorts as its 85 degrees out. Whoever this priest is, is the reason I will NEVER step foot back into a church again. I am just as disappointed as Jesus must be for throwing a person out of church. How incredibly harmful and disgusting behavior by Father Mazur. Edit to response: Why are you sexualizing my based on jean shorts and a tube top? You want people to come to church? Don’t throw them away. Jesus treated women as equals, he wouldn’t have never made someone feel so unwelcomed in a church the way Fr. mazur did. Do better.

1st time visit on Good Friday, what a very solemn place, beautiful church. There was a very sweet, old lady who opened the door for us, told us about services and welcomed us.

Mass offered at Ten PM on Saturday night stunned me. I saw the cathedral lit up, and I saw the great oaken door open for a man. I tried the door myself and two men opened the second door for me. One man served at the door despite needing oxygen from tank beside him. "Why are you open this late"? "Ten O'Clock mass", the second man answered. The oldest building still standing in Niagara Falls, New York, the interior has an enchanted interior lit up by the chandeliers. A recording played from hidden speakers makes me think that a mystic choir of nuns has begun chanting Gregorian airs from the loft. To walk into this cathedral at night is to walk into a religious mystery.

We were at st mary of the cataract church recently for the funeral of my father-in-law Bob. The church is beautiful and father Mazur who performed the mass was amazing. He made the service extremely personal sharing stories of my father-in-law, and turning to face our family the entire time he spoke of Bob. He made a sad day, a very bright spot in all the family had gone through.

This is such a beautiful church!! Loved visiting on Holy Thursday! ✝️

St.Mary's of the Cataract Church is the most beautiful church in Niagara Falls. It is also the oldest church. I love it.

Even though St Mary's of the Cataract is an old church, it is very beautiful. They have done a great job in preserving the inside and outside. The church is ideally located to the many Surry hotels and tourists attractions in the falls. I believe that it is there to provide blessings 24 hours a day all year round.

So beautiful.... you can feel the ever loving presence of God and the warmth that fills this fabulous church!!!
