What a great experience. Well worth the cost of admission. Even though the line seemed long the wait time was not bad. Make sure not to skip the observation platform that is included in the price of admission. From there you’ll have one of the best views of the falls on the American side. The view is much better and less crowded than the walkway overlooks in the park. If your good with getting wet go for the front of the boat on the lower deck. The poncho that is provided will only give minimal protection from the water and wind. You will get wet but it’s well worth it. Most of the people will flock to the boats upper level, but my opinion is the lower front provides a better experience for the ride to the falls. Enjoy the upper deck on the ride back when most of the people up there have begun to move away from the railings. Overall it is probably the best tourist thing to do when visiting Niagara Falls and a can’t miss on a trip.

The lines are very efficient, and on Memorial Day we didn't have to wait in line for more than five minutes. The boat holds a lot of people, so lines go fast. They give you a border poncho on the US side, it will not keep you dry, not because of it's quality, it's great, but because of the wind and power of the waterfall. Use the drawstrings around your head, you're still going to get wet, just not as wet. The boat ride was so fun and they did a 360 so either side of the boat is great, but we were on the port side, which gives you a great view of the American Falls right before Niagra. Use a waterproof camera holder, you are going to need it! I've visited Niagara three times, and it never gets old, a must do to enjoy the falls! It is an amazing way to view the falls!! *** However this will probably be overwhelming for young or timid children. My younger son did not enjoy getting so wet on a rocky boy ride.

This is the only way for you to really see the falls, head on! This was the best $50 I've ever spent. It was my husband and I plus our 14 month old daughter. Adults are $25.50 and children (6-17) are $14.75, and kids 5 and under are free with accompanying an adult. You get a poncho but I suggest you wait until your on the boat before you put it on. I was amazed at how many people had them on and were waiting for the boat, it must have been hot! It was a FUN boat ride, it only lasts about 15 minutes but is so much fun! It is a MUST if you're coming to Niagara Falls!!

You can't visit the Niagara Falls and NOT take this boat ride!! It was SO fun!! Be prepared to get wet, righteously. Not soaked...but wet for sure! I'd even take it a step further to say, use open sandals! Our sneakers were almost soaked. Also, if you have no kids with you and can tolerate the openness of a boat, get to the top! You won't regret it. Kids, not stable, suffer from dizziness, handicap, or scary...stay on the lower level. Still enjoyable but you'll feel safer and have a better grip. It was amazing!! We paid for our tickets, there. Included the observation tower (that's also a must see for great photo ops), good quality ponchos with their name on it, and the boat ride. It's unforgettable. A must do!!

This was an amazing experience. This craft is completely electric! As a rider, you are given a blue poncho - the red ones are from the Canadian side - We bought our tickets online and seamlessly were able to get through the lines. The top of the vessel fills first and quickly. Do not worry!! The bottom is nearly empty, and there is plenty of room to wonder about the full vessel - much better vantage point AND not crowded!! Wear clothing that will get wet - even with your blue poncho on! My wife and I had a great experience!! You will too!

Absolutely breathtaking location!! You have to visit at least once in your lifetime. You are so close to the heights of the waterfall and we had a special day to see the rainbow. Boat tour: Be prepared Large crowd gathering for the tickets queue on weekends Waiting time will be few hours. Good part every 15 -20 minute we have boat service. So would recommended to start early, if your traveling with toddler and want to carry the stroller that will be fine. They have elevators for everything. And if you want to be on top floor of the boat then you can keep the stroller on the lower floor. Enjoy the beautiful creation and you get a glimpse in evening with beautiful lights.

We showed up at the park at 8 and walked around and got some really nice photos. Then at 9 we hopped right on the Maid of the Mist. It was so beautiful. The trip is only about 15 minutes and you do get wet. But it was so worth it. We are so happy we decided to do the boat trip. No regrets. Around 25$ a person. You can do the observation deck after for great photos.

It was wild and a must do kind of thing. The tickets were reasonable and the boat leaves every half hour. They give you the poncho while waiting in line. It was busy on the day we went but worth it. We did he boat ride and then took in the view from the observation deck. As for the boat ride, the top level will be a drenching experience. The lower level is better for photography as your equipment is somewhat protected. Enjoy it is just awesome!

This was a truly amazing experience! The line seemed really long when we got there, but it moved super quickly. The boat ride into the falls was fantastic! I am so glad that I had a waterproof pouch for my phone. The poncho was also extremely necessary. The only thing that I wish I knew in advance was that they do a 360 degree spin after you come out of the falls. If I would have known I would have been ready to do the most amazing panoramic picture, but unfortunately I missed it. All in all I would definitely suggest it, well worth the money! An experience of a lifetime!

We had a real good time on this adventure. There really wasn't ever a long long except for when you got your Pancho, everyone stopped at the exit to try and put it on. Ride on the boat was awesome and seeing the falls was amazing. After seeing this place so many times on TV it was great to see it in person and share the experience with the family. I was hoping they had some pizza or onion rings close to the exit but couldn't find any.

This 30 min tour is well worth your time. The close up views of the falls are just incredible and obvi a super photo of. The staff here are also super friendly and will happily answer all your questions. I was also pleasantly surprised when I was able to get a refund for a sick family member who couldn't go. Wear the raincoat!

BEAUTIFUL SCENERY. AWESOME BOAT TOUR!!! This was a GREAT experience. Be prepared to get wet. I will definitely go again and again. The feeling of the power of the water as you go into the falls is like nothing I have ever experienced. I would recommend this to everyone of all ages.

This has been our favorite thing we've done at Niagra Falls! A must-do for all ages and such an amazing experience! Be prepared to get super wet on this tour. Also be sure to check out the observation deck and lower path that leads to a beautiful and wet view of the falls after the boat ride! Highly recommended!!!

This was an amazing boat ride!!! Getting to the boat was a breeze since there were so many people guiding us in the right direction. Everyone was cheerful and energetic. The boat itself was wonderful. It was spacious and the lower deck was available to keep you dry. I got beautiful photos of the falls on this boat. The scenery all around was truly magnificent and this boat enabled me to fully experience the beauty of it.

Wow is all I can say. Absolutely worth the $25 to do the boat tour. They take you right into the middle of the horseshoe falls. You find yourself surrounded by the waterfall. The observation deck is included and so is the rain bags. You can keep the bags too. They have kids sized ones available. And little kids are free. Especially since the border is closed it is the best way to see the falls in the US. I highly recommend and will for everyone that comes to visit the Niagara Falls.

This tour is definitely worth the trip. I recommend getting there as soon as they open at 9am. We were there at 8:30am and there were already quite a few people there waiting to buy tickets. They give you a poncho that says Maid of the mist on it so it's a cute souvenir to keep. The boat ride is smooth and quiet with the new Tesla boats. My dad was on crutches and was still able to go to the top deck for the better views. Be prepared to get very wet but in awe of the beauty.

I can’t recommend enough. This is the best way to experience the mighty Niagara Falls. These lines are operated from both the USA and Canada sides. No matter which side you are coming from, they will take you through the same way. So the experiences will be same. You will be given a rain Pancho to save yourself from the water and mist. We booked a tour with a company and they took us to different activities and attractions. It was a long weekend in summer, so the park and all attractions were extremely crowded. Make sure that you have time in hand and you won’t be disappointed. You have never seen the Niagara unless you have taken this boat ride. It will take you in front of the falls, as close as it could be, and you will experience the power and the extent. It was a great experience.

A great experience for sure with friends and families alike. The thrill and adventure of going close to the falls is a awesome. Doesn't matter if it's your first or multiple times being on it, each time is a unique experience in itself. Highly recommended if your on either side of the falls (US or Canadian).

This is an absolutely must see experience. Just a note, the Maid of the Mist is on the US Side, so if you're visiting Canada, you must cross the border. Poncho is free with your ticket. Wear it, you will get drenched otherwise. Trip is around 20 minutes. Absolutely worth it.

Fantastic experience! Definition of exhilarating! Pictures and videos cannot capture the immense water flowing over the falls, creating a sheer wind that pelts you with the cool mist. Maid in the Mist takes you as close as they can to the American and Horseshoe falls without putting you in danger. Just awesome, everyone on the boat felt the same. A “must do” when you come to Niagara. Don’t bother with the many “tours” offered online that are $100 or more, Maid in the Mist is like $25.50 from them , easy to find as well as easy to get to. We might just do it again before we leave!

This is totally worth it! One of the best ways to view the falls is up close and personal on a boat. You feel like you're in the Bermuda triangle when you're up in the Horseshoe Falls! I was able to take pictures until the very furthest reach of the boat ride into the falls because water spray overwhelms you. I think the line wait was about an hour; I purchased the ticket same day.

At nearly $30/person this may not be a repeat activity, but 100% worth it if visiting the falls for the first time! The experience is unforgettable and shows the true power of the falls! Wear clothing and shoes you don't mind getting wet. Even with a poncho, my sleeves and shoes were very wet, but I was prepared for that and brought additional clothing and shoes for after the ride! The bonus is the stairway outlook after you complete the voyage. This view (the last few photos) is only available if you ride on the Maid of the Mist. That was a nice bonus view! This is well worth the $$, and every staff member we encountered was very pleasant!

We went with a tour group - Over The Falls Tours. This boat ride was short but worth every second. We laughed so much. Expect a hurricane experience every time. You will never know the POWER of the Falls unless you do this and/or Cave of the Wind! Please don't miss either!

I had an incredible opportunity to experience the Maid of the Mist at Niagara Falls a month ago, and it was a memory that has stayed with me since. The sheer power and majesty of the falls are awe-inspiring, and the Maid of the Mist provides a front-row seat to this natural wonder. The boat ride was exhilarating, and the mist from the falls felt refreshing on a warm day. The staff was friendly and informative, adding to the overall experience. It's a must-visit attraction for anyone coming to Niagara Falls, and my visit from a month ago still holds a special place in my heart. Maid of the Mist, Niagara Falls, USA

This was a great experience! If you go to the top deck you will absolutely get soaked. If you prefer to not be soaked, stay on the bottom deck. They have baby ponchos and of course adult ponchos. The views are breathtaking and I can’t believe how close we get to the falls. It’s a short trip but the views are definitely worth seeing.

It has the most amazing views of the falls. It's unbelievable how close the boat gets to the falls. If you stand in the open, you'll be completely drenched, but the views are breathtaking and definitely worth standing in open. They give you ponchos for the ride. The overall ride is short but sweet. Both US and Canada sides take turns for the boat ride as only one boat can go closer to the falls at a time.

The maid of mist boat tour is a spectacular experience. You feel so small while viewing the falls from the boat. We visited during a long weekend and it was super crowded. There were plenty of viewing opportunities and it was fun to feel the mist of the falls. Definitely a unique experience when visiting Niagara falls. Also we enjoyed night view of Niagara falls..

Unique experience! I get seasick easily, but I forgot that on this trip. The ride takes 15 minutes and you get up close to the waterfalls. We got pretty wet but the view is fantastic - from every position on the boat because the boat turns. The price includes the rain poncho and access to the platform.

The Maid of the Mist boat tour at Niagara Falls is an absolute must-do. From the moment you step on the boat, the anticipation builds as you approach the magnificent falls. The staff is welcoming and informative, creating a memorable experience. As the boat gets closer, the mist and the roar of the falls heighten the excitement. Being so close to the Horseshoe Falls is awe-inspiring, and the mist creates a magical atmosphere. The tour is well-organized, and the provided ponchos add a fun element. It's a sensory experience like no other, and the safety and comfort of passengers are well taken care of. Don't miss the chance to embark on this unforgettable journey into the heart of Niagara Falls!

WOW!! The most fun 20 minutes we've had in a long time!! 😃😃😃 Here's our suggestion - forget the blue parka and just enjoy getting soaked!! 🤣🤣 The kids absolutely LOVED it, and were talking about it well after the ride was done! You have to stand in a bunch of lines for about 30 minutes, but the ride was absolutely worth it. They take you so close to the falls, it's exhilarating! The spray from the falls is delightful, and everyone's screaming and having a blast...just FUN!! You can buy tickets ahead of time, but that really doesn't save you all time in the line, just FYI.

Exhilarating and a fantastic experience! Thoroughly enjoyed the day at one of the oldest state parks in New York! Good price for a wonderful ride on the Maid of the Mist boat which brings you right to the base of the Horseshoe Falls and past the Rainbow Falls. You will get wet even with the blue plastic disposable raincoats they give you. So I recommend dressing wisely and be careful with your digital watches, phones, etc. and maybe don't wear mascara!

As a child I had always seen on TV the Maid of the Mist in movies and shows. I finally visited Niagara Falls and had to fulfill the goal of seeing the falls and riding the boat around the falls. I didn't have any knowledge of this experience, and/or the falls. I thought the $25 fee was a tad bit much for what the experience actually entailed and the length of time. I thought perhaps it would be a guided tour, with information being given about the falls...it wasn't. The employees all seemed sad and depressed and lacked any personality. A slight bit of enthusiasm, even if fake, would have sufficed. I didn't think the boat would actually go as close as it did to the falls. It felt like being in the middle of a hurricane. It was so much water and wind power that we all got completely drenched. Not the best feeling when it's a child day and you have to walk around afterwards. This information, prior to going as close as we did, would have been nice to know so that people could go to a different part to not get as wet.

The Niagara Falls are incredibly vast and beautiful, presenting a sight that is truly spectacular. Located on the border of the United States and Canada, these majestic falls consist of three separate waterfalls: the American Falls, the Bridal Veil Falls, and the Horseshoe Falls, the latter being the largest and most impressive. The colossal volume of water cascading down the falls creates a ceaseless roar and generates a mist that can be seen from miles away. When the sunlight hits this mist, it often creates a stunning rainbow that further enhances the beauty of the scene. Niagara Falls is not only a marvel of natural beauty but also a source of hydroelectric power, contributing significantly to the power supply in the region. The Falls are also a crucial habitat for many species of fish and birds, making it an important area for biodiversity. Visitors to Niagara Falls can appreciate its grandeur from various viewpoints on both the American and Canadian sides, or experience its power up-close on a boat tour that takes them right to the base of the falls. The sight of the massive water curtains and the feel of the refreshing mist on their faces leave many visitors in awe, making a visit to Niagara Falls a truly unforgettable experience.

We had such an amazing experience that we ended up taking the ride twice and still couldn't get over it. The sound of the water as you get closer to the falls was so calming and peaceful. All the staff were super friendly. They give you ponchos but the wind from the falls doesn't let it stay in place and you do end up getting a little drenched.

Niagara Falls is not only a marvelous beauty of nature but it also serves as a source of hydroelectric power, contributing significantly to the power supply in the region. The Falls are also a crucial habitat for many species of fish and birds, making it an important area for biodiversity. The maid of the Mist starts you by talking an elevator down to the boats where you will be given a poncho for the excursion out to the falls. The sight of the massive water curtains and the feel of the refreshing mist on their faces leave many visitors in awe, making a visit to Niagara Falls a truly unforgettable experience. Definitely a must do for the first time visiting the Falls! After the ride you can go up the crows nest as well as back up to the observatory for more astonishing views!

9/15/22 Highly recommend this 20 min boat ride. The staff are super fast at boarding you onto the boat. The observation tower is apart of admission too. Many people were on the boat and there still was plenty of room to walk around. You get very close to the falls. It is windy so avoid wearing a tennis hat & hold on and enjoy your time!

I recently took a trip to see Niagara Falls. I stayed on the Canada side so I was able to get the full spectrum of the American and Canadian Falls. So beautiful! Definitely recommend maid of the mist tour. This will take you right up into the Canadian falls you will see everything you need to see and it just was such a wonderful joy and well worth the $28. You will not go wrong taking this adventure, and it will be a wonderful investment with long lasting beautiful memories!

I recently had the incredible opportunity to experience the Maid of the Mist, and it exceeded all expectations. The journey begins with a thrilling boat ride that takes you up close and personal to the majestic Niagara Falls. The sheer power and beauty of the falls are awe-inspiring, and the mist that envelops you adds a sense of adventure to the entire experience. The staff aboard the Maid of the Mist were not only professional but also passionate about ensuring everyone had a memorable time. They provided interesting facts about the falls, adding a valuable educational aspect to the excursion.
