Nice hotel, staff is friendly. Hotel policies need some review by management. We booked this hotel as part of a hockey tournament package. This hotel is not equipped to handle these types of events. They don't provide a place for the kids (and kids will be kids - so this is important to teams) to be kids and play knee hockey. That may seem ridiculous to management but its important to the families that are staying here with their teams. All the hotel needs to do is give the teams a conference room where the kids can hang out. In stead the kids hang in the hallways and that potentially disturbs the rest of the guest. Also, they close the bar at 10 on weekends. Again, policy needs to be reviewed by management. Many of the tournament games are played in the evening and he parents (there may be up to 50-100) are looking forward to socializing together in the bar area and they can't because the bar is closed. This causes the obvious lost revenue and tips income to the servers, but also causes the parents to hang in the hallways and potentially disturb other guest. DO NOT BOOK this hotel if your are a team manager. Unless management figures out how to properly and easily deal with hockey teams if you are not associated with Niagara Hockey Tournaments look for another hotel if its a tournament weekend.

Everything is of good quality except for one thing, the walls of the rooms are so thin and not sound-proofšŸ˜… that I heard the chatting and you know the type of sounds lovers make in bedšŸ¤£ This is a little hard for one person guest to go to sleep peacefully with neighbors with fun activitiesšŸ¤£. It's within walking distance from the park and the falls. My room was on the back side(not the street side), and I watched the fireworks through my windows. It lasts only 5 minutes šŸ˜‚. I have to admit that as a Chinese who grew up in China, any fireworks In anywhere else seems quite humble compared with the fireworks we usually see on Chinese New Year's Eve or other important celebrations. Another thing I would like to mention and remind tourists is that the mattress and the pillows are kind of less firm, so if you are used to firm mattress (like my firm one at home in Chicago) you may have some time to get to sleep. I have lower back issues therefore soft mattresses are not my favorite. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is available right behind the hotel with a special rate if you stay in the hotel. Breakfast is not included. When I booked online I think I saw included, not the parking. But anyway breakfast is all similar. No big deal. I hope you enjoy staying here and having fun.

We got our room through Groupon and the room itself was fantastic. Upon checking in the hotel staff was so welcoming and pleasant. The pool area is so awesome offering a huge pool and two hot tubs! Location was within walking distance to the falls and there was a lot of vendors set up. There was new renovations to the arcade though some of the games were not working. I also found it really convenient that in the shower there was regular size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, so awesome! Upon checking in the staff informed us of the new and upcoming renovations which we look forward to seeing for our next stay because we surely will be back! Our daughter wants her birthday party here!

We went to the hotel for a marriage retreat and to celebrate our anniversary! Like others have said the walls were a bit thin but most hotel walls are. The free spa and pool were a great addition! The hotel is within walking distance of the falls and the aquarium! The staff are so friendly and great to talk with! We had an absolutely amazing time! Also the fish tanks were beautiful!

Love this place. I love that the Rainforest Cafe is attached; super convenient, although their pricing is a discussion for a separate review. Service and cleanliness is above par for this place, and the pool and hot tub area is wonderful. A bit disappointed with the hot tub temps when we were there; more like a warm bath than a hot tub. Another disappointment was that the spa room with the massage chairs and oxygen bar has been removed; that was always a highlight that we looked forward to, and one of the contributing factors to us always booking this hotel. All in all, other than I really wish the spa room would come back, weā€™ll likely still consider this place as one of the hotels we will continue to stay at when weā€™re away .

Great location in the hub of family fun activities and short walk to the Falls. Good restaurants and activities nearby. Staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. Very accommodating. Small details were not attended to like the shampoo was empty in the room, no plastic cups, etc but overall would definitely stay there again! The pool was very fun for the family! (Hot tub jets were not working).

We stayed at this place recently and the 2 stars is only due to the itā€™s location and accessibility to the Niagara state park. Pros: Good location. Walkable to the falls and other dining options. Cons: The hotel is super dated. Walls are stained. Restroom is tiny and dated. The furniture is old and ripped. We did inform the staff and they didnā€™t pay any attention. The worst part was that we had expired coffee in our room. The staff is not helpful at all and is not courteous. Please look for better options. This place is not worth it for the price.

Our stay here was amazing. The hotel is walking distance to the border and next to everything (restaurants, bars and Niagara Falls State Park. The room we had (family suite) was huge. It was nice that the boys had their own room with bunk beds and TV to keep them entertained. While the adults had the other room to relax. The hotel was very clean. Three choices to eat from and Starbucks. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Stayed 12/29 to 1/1. I guess I shouldā€™ve listened to the reviews about this hotel adding charges. When we checked out I was told receipt would be emailed and I still donā€™t have one. He didnā€™t even ask my name. Put $200 incidental fee on credit card at check in but then today was charged another $200 in addition to a $90 some dollar fee. So an extra $500 on my card with no explanation. It was a family trip and room was left as clean as when we arrived. No one answers phone calls or returns messages. PLEASE DONā€™T STAY HERE! The hotel across the street is comparable in price with same amenities and will be where we stay next time for sure!

Everything at hotel (staff, rooms, location, cleanliness, etc...) were outstanding. Only two things I feel you could improve upon. First, offer a breakfast as there aren't many options within walking distance. I know you have the Starbucks, but they were not very friendly or accommodating, an example: It was my birthday and I had my birthday coupon for a free drink only good on that day and they said they couldn't apply it because they were operated by Sheraton? Not sure how true that was. Second, some flyers, maps, anything to help guide people as to where things were. Such as, restaurants, bars, shopping, etc... The front desk was no help with our questions.

Came to this beautiful place to celebrate my birthday. It is a beautiful location and customer service was amazing. However, I was a bit disturbed by the long blonde hairs on the shower wall when both I have short black hair and my husband is bald. I am aware that housekeeping only has a certain amount of time to turn rooms over but this still made me cringe. Other than that, this is a beautiful hotel that I will return to.

Exceptionally great service from staff. Joseph passed out water bottles for my family while we waited and the woman at guest information services was lovely to talk to and so helpful. Great location to walk to Canada and see the fireworks from Niagara Falls. Staff at the front desk was friendly and personable. Would recommend this hotel!

The stay was good, the staff was super nice and helpful. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is because they do not tell you before coming thereā€™s a $200 deposit for the room. That gets taken out the second you check in, so prepare for that. Also, there isnā€™t free parking. Itā€™s $21 per day. The bathrooms are super awkward to move around in but thatā€™s a very minimal complaint. The pool is great but they should disclose the $200 deposit ON THE PHONE with you when making the reservation. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Room was very clean. Facility overall looked clean even the outside. Staff friendly. Especially, Andrew at the Front Desk. Would stay again. It would be nice if Starbucks would stay open longer. The added coupons associated with the Groupon were very much used. Would stay here again. Only negative was 1 of the hot tubs was down. It would have been nice if both were open.

Room was clean enough, but the overall hotel is extremely run down. The air was warm in stale in both the lobby and hallways. The pool looked like it was peeling apart, and their were rowdy, unsupervised teens screaming, jumping in the pool, and throwing footballs around in the shallow end while parents were trying to swim with toddlers, the hot tub area had a group of people with an extremely loud radio that drowned out being able to even talk in the area and security walked through and didnā€™t do anything about it. The location is close enough not the surrounding area looks like a demilitarized zone, if you can stay on the Canadian side. The staff was super friendly though.

Older hotel in great condition. Rooms were comfortable. 5 minutes walking distance from the falls. Casino across the street. Pros - Beds were super comfortable - Shower was hot - Accommodating to issues. Cons - Front desk staff seemed to be new and a bit confused on certain things. When they asked management for assistance, a sense of inconvenience was noted. - Rainforest cafe served cold food. - Booked with Marriott for 5 people with the understanding the rooms would accommodate 3 in one room and 2 in the other. Got 2 double queen rooms with no room for a roll away bed. -Shower pressure was intermediate. - All arcade games weren't working. Needed a better selection. - Rooms weren't ready upon arrival.

About to checkout and decided to write a review. Our room was very dated. Carpet was so disgusting that I wouldnā€™t walk around barefoot. Toilet doesnā€™t flush good has no suction power so you if you go the bathroom you need to flush several times. The location isnā€™t bad. Definitely needs to be updated ASAP!

Just stayed here on Dec 23rd and front desk was excellent, the location was Amazon, and the room was great. Had 2 queen beds for our party of 4 and they were comfortable. Had a coffee maker in the room with Starbucks coffee. We had a view of the casino which was nice. This hotel is only a few minute walk to the park where you can see the falls.

We stayed at the Sheraton for a hockey tournament and the staff couldnā€™t have been any nicer and accommodating. We had to have something overnighted to the hotel and the front desk staff were so helpful. Andrew specifically remembered my name and made us feel super welcomed. The hotel had a scavenger hunt where the boys could win a $10 arcade card if they completed it, so it was a built in team building activity. All in all the Sheraton is at the top of my list for places to stay for our future hockey tournaments :)

We arrived here as a stop on a road trip very late at night (I'd called to let them know we were going to be late to check in). The attendant was very helpful, providing us with information about the hotel, and the surrounding area. The hotel also had complimentary laundry services, which we really needed, and I'd not seen before at any hotel I've stayed at. They even provided free laundry soap and dryer sheets. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel quiet. I was able to hear a baby crying in the hallway when I did the laundry, but even though it was in the room right next to ours, once in the room we could not hear it at all. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Niagara Falls area.

We had a great time here. All the staff is friendly, and the location is excellent. The room is big and still has a microwave which is now rare in a hotel. They had an indoor pool and hot tub, Starbucks, restaurant, and even got a complimentary bottle of wine! I very much recommend to staying here when you go to Niagara Falls.

We stayed for a womenā€™s church retreat. Iā€™m on a special diet and the cook, Whitney was super helpful and accommodating. My meals were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Our servers, Tammi, Greg and Dee were very attentive and gave us everything we asked for. I highly recommend this hotel and give the staff high praises. The rooms were clean and lovely also.

The staff were mostly really good especially Joseph. My room smelled like old cigarette smoke and I was moved to another room that smelled like old cigarette smoke it was musty and moldy and caused me lung issues. The ventilation was one very old AC system with a heater that I had to keep on freezing cold just to have some air in the room even when it was cold outside. The chair in the room was filthy and stained everything smelled. The hallways smelled bad. I was there for a conference and dreading going back to the room each morning and night. The housekeeping staff were great. I left two cushions in the hallway it took me 45 minutes to get the cushions through the manager because they kept saying oh well weā€™ll just wait a few minutes Iā€™ll just wait a few minutes over and over again When finally someone approached from somewhere and handed me the cushions. The restaurants were great the room was just deplorable. I already changed one room to the other they all smell the same. I also had a reservation for a king size bed and a queen size bed I kept the king size bed and got there they said oh sorry we sold them out I had a king size bed reserved for two months. The signs are saying theyā€™re going to renovate next year not helpful shouldā€™ve been renovated 10 years ago. This certainly is not what Iā€™m used to with the Marriott hotel.

Hotel location was great. Walking distance to the Falls, good restaurants and activities (arcade and pool) onsite. Casino is just across the street and it also had good food options. Room was decent, could use an update. They did allow us to check in super early, which was greatly appreciated. My only issues were; I didn't appreciate being charged for parking even though I didn't have a car during my stay and I'm having a somewhat difficult time getting the charges reversed. Also, the breakfast at Torrent should be included with the stay. It is overpriced for the quality of food. Overall satisfied

I organized a Cornell student 2 day group trip to Niagara Falls during 9.17-9.18 and we chose Sheraton as the hotel to stay in. The overall experience was very great since it is close to the falls and the hotel seems clean and new. The breakfast has many options to choose from and tastes delicious. All members had great experience. I also want to point out that Sarah who assisted me during the whole booking process was very kind and supportive. When we faced an issue with the bus that we booked and had the possibility of cancelling the trip, Sarah replied promptly in explaining what I should do and confirming that she can cancel the rooms if needed although it was only two days before the trip. Her answer was a great relief to me. It was a smooth and wonderful experience, and I will definitely choose them again for future trips :)

I didnā€™t get to enjoy everything this hotel have to offer. Our experience was definitely good enough to come back in the future. The hotel was clean and within walking distance of everything I wanted to go see or do. Will definitely give it another go if Iā€™m on the are again. I didnā€™t give it 5 stars just because I believe this hotel would benefit from a little renovation no too much to kick the prices to the roof but just a little facelift for the rooms. Everything else was top notch. Excellent customer service, excellent location! Parking at the hotel is better than parking outside too!

  • 2/5 Karla K. 2 years ago on Google
PROS: The hotel is decently presented. It has a Nice pool and spa area that is family friendly. It also had a Starbucks and restaurant on site. The rooms are spacious and well maintained . CONS: Better communication amongst staff members could improve customer experience. AC was broken. We requested repair and maintenance was told it was a housekeeping request. He unintentionally walked in without notice while we were in the room. Thankfully we were just watching tv. In addition, Proper customer service should include staff members not complaining behind a customers back when asked for housekeeping service and then proceeding to completely dismiss the request. A little more housekeeping efforts would make the cost of staying overnight worth it. We are no longer living peak COVID times. There is no difference between cleaning an empty room while customer is physically out of it while remaining checked in or having checked out. We shouldnā€™t have to take out our own trash, make our own beds, and should have cleaned floors at the least.

Enjoyed our stay. Hotel could use a little update (paint, wallpaper, etc.) but advertisements in the hotel show that coming next year. More options for breakfast without be nice. Maybe a buffet, continental or restaurant option. Pool area was nice. Again, updates are needed but hopefully will come with the rest.

I loved it! The price and all the things that you can do in this hotel is amazing! They treated us very well, we went to the gym, pool, and the nice restaurant called rain forestā€¦ amazing place. I really recommend this hotel šŸ™‚ā¤ļø

Usually donā€™t do reviews but I must this time. Went yesterday with family which we have been there before no problem and checked out early, bed was dirty. Found hair on bed and what seemed to be a ā€œboogerā€ stained carpet, dust everywhere, stain on bathroom curtain, mold in bathtub. When we mentioned it to front desk they seemed unbothered and said you want another room...no thanks! Very disappointed with yesterdays experience when it used to be our go to place.
