I have been a customer with Hyatt for years and you could check my track record. This is one of the hotel chains that I take pride in staying at. Unfortunately, my last stay was unpleasant. When we checked into the hotel, an Asian guest was informing the front desk that there were hairs on his pillows and wet marks on his dresser. They immediately changed his room. We ignored the complaint we overheard and went up to our room. Our room looked clean and we had no complaints at that time. However, the entire night I could not sleep and I awoke with red bumps on my legs. When we awoke, my youngest son came into my bed and asked what was crawling in the bed. I thought it was just a regular bug so I squished it and to my surprise, there was a lot of blood in it. It was a bed bug. I immediately called downstairs and asked the front desk for an inspector to come in and check. He came and confirmed that it was indeed a bedbug. Then, the exterminator came in a few minutes later and he also confirmed that it was a bedbug. He went on to say that hotels in this area are definitely prone to bedbugs because of the high tourist attraction areas. We checked out early and as we were leaving I informed the receptionist once again of the incident. I did not sleep well that night. This is the first experience of its kind at a hotel, much less a Hyatt. I followed up with the general manager Nick Ortiz and he informed me that the report determined that there were no infestations and that the report was negative. This is incorrect because there was at least 1-bed bug in the room and it was filled with blood on the sheets. Perhaps there were no infestations but the report cannot be negative because there were at least one-bed bug on the white sheets. Mr. Ortiz, made the experience worse when he implied that either we were crazy, denying the fact that there was a bed bug in my bed that left big red blotches on my thigh and arm. I took a picture of the bug (see photo attached)

Great location and beautiful view from the room. Check-in was fast and easy. The guy checking us in was welcoming. The bartender was freaking awesome. Overall the hotel was clean but the rooms need some help. Like the TV remote, alarm clock and the bathroom exhaust fan. We will differently be back.

The reviews were really negative, but it was too late to change. It turned out to not be that bad. One issue I did have is they stop the breakfast at 9 am during the week. So, I missed breakfast first morning. They should stop at 10. People are on vacation. No one us thinking to wake up so early on their vacation

Fantastic place. Great location. Pool. Very good breakfast. Like 1 bock front he falls. Nice deck on the roof with great view. Does not have a great restaurant in the hotel but many options around. Hard Rock 1 block way. Papa John 1 block away. Casino 3 blocks away.

Great location to the falls. You can actually see the mist from the falls from the room. They had fireworks every night right in front of our window which was beautiful. The room service isnt available during your stay. So if you spend more then 2 nights you gotta change your own sheets. They also take awhile to take payment out for the stay, not sure why. I do recommend to stay and they also have a really Nice roof top with chairs and a couch.

Super convenient location if you're visiting the falls. Parking is across the street, which was only 5 bucks at the time per night. It's about a 10 minute walk to the falls, and about 20 minutes to the Goat Island side. Rooms apparently were big enough to have 5 people, however we opted to get 2 separate rooms for convenience sake. King bed was nice to have, as was the sofa bed. Staff were attentive and helpful as per usual for Hyatt properties. Hyatt Places are known to have some of the best complimentary breakfasts out there, and this was no exception. There were eggs, sausage, and french toast freshly made, with all the other bells and whistles that come with it including fruits, cereal, breads, bagels, water, and coffee. Can't ask for more!

Staff was super friendly and the hotel was in a great location. It was minutes from the park. Room was a good size and comfortable, and their free breakfast had a nice selection also. Only negative was the sink in our room didn't hardly drain and the covers on the bed were a flat sheet and a super thin hospital like blanket.

Hyatt Place is the closest hotel from state Park. You will find street food carts, shops, ice cream carts just within the walking distance. Their service is okay. You have to mention to makeup the room, otherwise they will not do it. Their breakfast is good. In-house tea & coffee is available 24 hours. You can use the dining at anytime. Their bar is also open for guests. The most enjoyable part of this hotel is, they have a rooftop sitting arrangements for guests. You can eat, drink, or enjoy the beautiful view of Canadian side of Niagara from here. We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

Beware! If you don’t book your room directly through the Hyatt’s website and make the reservation through athird party then, they will double charge your credit card for the same room, deny to provide you copy of that charge and then, ask you to contact the third provider and ask them to drop the initial charge on your credit card. You will be left to get the situation fixed through your credit card provider. Other than that, everything was great! Just make sure to make your reservation directly through the Hyatt’s website and NOT through a third provider or, ELSE. You have been warned!

My family and I stayed here for two nights during a vacation recently. We were in 5 different hotels in 7 nights and this one was our favorite. Staff was super friendly, parking was complimentary after validation and was across the street. The lobby area was nice and had a small bar to enjoy a drink while relaxing. The room was nice - had a big couch with a sofa sleeper and a desk. The chair for the desk wasn't very comfortable for me. The bathroom was good sized and had one of the larger showers I've ever had in a standard hotel room. The shower doors were glass sliding doors and the floor in the shower was tile so I had no worries about slipping in there. And the door to get into the bathroom was a sliding door that slowed down as you shut it (so no slamming the door, which I like). Beds were a little hard for me but perfectly firm for my wife (just like at home, lol). I see many people have reviewed that they liked the breakfast here. Our experience was different, at least for the hot foods. They had prepared portions of eggs and pancakes one morning and eggs and French toast the other morning and the eggs were soggy and barely cooked and the French toast was pretty dry. The pancakes were cold when we got them and heating them up just didn't help them taste better. Fruit was canned fruit one morning and a fresh bowl of mixed fruit the next morning. The bread for toast was excellent. They also had hard boiled eggs, cereal boxes (individual) and oatmeal, which my son likes, and I'm sure I'm missing something but that's what I can remember. Plenty of coffee and it was descent. So overall it was just alright. I was most disappointed with the eggs. Hopefully they can improve on that. My family and I would definitely stay here again. Like I said, we stayed in 5 hotels in 7 nights on our week long trip and this hotel was our favorite. And by the way you can't beat the location! Two minute walk and you're at the park and a ten minute walk to get to the falls!

It was excellent experience. It was clean, straight forward and easy. The customer service was organically great, and they prepare delicious food using good quality products for their menu items. I was actually surprised how well it went compared to the current state we live where customer service is lacking. If I had more activities to Buffalo, this is the place to stay. The breakfast was delicious and well presented. For the first time in a long time, I do not have anything negative to say. Congratulation to whoever is running this hotel location. They are doing a fine job.

Very nice hotel. Feels welcoming. Room was nice. A small detail, but loved having both blackout shades and filtering shades on the window. Housekeeping wasn't the greatest, but that is an industry-wide issue and nothing that made me want to leave. Breakfast was set up very nice and had plenty of options, and the young man "directing" was doing a great job. The rooftop patio is very nice, and watching the fireworks from there was great. Just get there early.

We stayed at the Hyatt place, staff are very friendly, 10$ parking all day is a great plus, location is good walking distance from everything almost. Breakfast was a plus but was below average. On the other hand rooms are way smaller than expected, didn’t smell great, mattress was uncomfortable and felt cheap as well as the pillows. Overall it felt overpriced given we payed almost 300$ per night. Was kind of disappointed

Hyatt is conveniently located that you could easily walk across to almost every place of tourist interest The hotel is safe, quiet, clean and efficiently air conditioned. Car parking is close by and easy to access. The fittings inside the bathroom were of very good quality that adds to your experience. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast which is good enough to sustain you till lunch.there are enough cheaper options available nearby to experience wide range of indian,Chinese or Italian foods. Overall a good experience

The staff was friendly; however, the breakfast was not what we expected for the price and type of hotel. I was glad there was coffee, bagels and cream cheese. Eggs and sausages were horrible. Lastly, it has a perfect location!

Loved and appreciated that we could bring our pup boy Puff who is taking medications for cancer and needed to be with us. Though I can't give a 5 for the rooms, I understand that being generous to allow pets cones with a trade-off

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room had a lot of space and it was very clean. There was no noise in the hallways. The breakfast was ok. It’s very close to the Canada side of Niagara Falls. The area around the hotel is very quiet. I definitely would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

First room we checked into felt like it was not cleaned at all. We actually requested a new room and was told that the cleaner is better on another floor. That room was a lot better. Overall the staff was amazing and so attentive. That’s probably the only reason I would recommend this place. We did not go to the bar so no advice there. Being a Hyatt member we expected a bit more. Great location to the rainbow bridge and the fireworks show on the balcony was great every night.

Stayed here with my husband for 1 night in a king suite, with no complaints. Everything was standard for a 3 star hotel & prices were comparable to nearby hotels. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy the complimentary breakfast bc we didn’t realize it was only until 9am on weekdays. The room was cozy and clean. The bed & pillows were comfortable enough for a couple nights stay. WiFi did the job. The location was a couple min walk to the Rainbow Bridge where we crossed the border: Night staff was kind and let us park in front since our truck did not fit inside the garage across the street. Overall we would stay again.

Location of hotel is perfect, walking distance to the falls. Parking is on other side of street in a parking garage, that the front desk validates. We didn’t have to drive anywhere’s we walked to restaurants, shopping and state park. The breakfast is open really early and closes at 9am. Every hotel we go to breakfast is served at least until 10/11am, waking up a child after a long day at the falls to eat breakfast early is impossible. Good selection of food, bagels, cereal, eggs, fruit, yogurt. There no housekeeping that comes to your room when you stay. If you need anything you have to go to the front desk to ask and they give it to you. There is a pool pretty small for amount of rooms, gets filled quickly. The rooftop lounge was nice get up there at 9pm to get a seat to watch fireworks by 10pm. Otherwise you’d be standing off to the side. You cannot see the actual falls from rooms or rooftop just the mist. Still a pretty sight. My parents room sheets fell off and the covering had a giant stain on it. That was disappointing. Overall the rooms were clean, hotel was clean. The beds are super soft to the point it was uncomfortable. The pullout bed was really soft when my 6 year old laid in it, the bed curled up a bit. But for what we were there to do it was good. Location, easy access to falls and restaurants. Four stars for location and access to falls.

This was the closest hotel to the falls on the US side. The staff was helpful with our check in times and figuring out how to park in the garage. The hotel bar was basic with a good selection of beer and basic bar food- although service was kind of slow. There was no room service, but you could call and order food from the bar and walk down to pick it up. There was a free breakfast buffet, but no waffle machine like other hotel breakfasts. There was also a self serve coffee/tea/hot cocoa station that was convenient. The pool was nice and not crowded, although it was heated it was still chilly for me. Our room was a good size, with a little lounge area. As soon as we walked in we noticed a pungent smell and sticky bathroom floors. We didn’t care enough to complain since we weren’t in the room much other than sleeping. Also, the main lounge area’s light did not work, but it wasn’t a big deal. Staff was super nice about extra towels and blankets! Great location, makes up for everything else being “mid”. Easy walk to the falls (~5 min) and quick walk to coffee shops and restaurants and a lot of gift shops! Parking garage is right across the street and only $10/day if paid through the hotel which is much cheaper than paying out of pocket! TLDR- would stay again for a quick weekend trip centered around exploring the falls!

Walking distance to the US falls. The rooms were older but not horrible. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant, especially Angelo, who checked us in at 1 am, and had the biggest smile for us after a long ride. The parking is across the street. The parking garage is older and a bit abandoned. I do not recommend going alone to leave/retrieve your car. We got to see the fireworks from our room. Which was a nice surprise.

Honestly impressed with how nice and friendly the staff was. It's a good place to stay to see the falls. We had perfect view of the fireworks from the 6th floor too. The patio was amazingly beautiful with how it's situated.

Location is excellent. We walked across the street to the falls. Room was very nice and the bed quite comfortable. However, we chose the Hyatt because the website states there is a salt water lap pool. No, there is not. It is chlorinated. We were very disappointed. I contacted customer service about updating the website but have had no response. Therefore, only three stars.

The hotel is located at a distance of about five minutes walk from Niagra falls. The buffet breakfast has limited options but is quite fine. The hotel staff is very friendly. Rooms are quite spacious and well equipped. There are shopping malls and restaurants located in the close vicinity of the hotel. The hotel also seems to have enough parking space.

Enjoyed my recent stay here while visiting Niagara Falls. The location was perfect, it was directly across the street from the American falls and a 5 minute drive across the bridge to the Canadian side (you could even walk if you wanted). The hotel was clean and had all the usual perks. Our king room was extremely spacious. The only disappointment was that the pool was not heated as advertised; we were very much looking forward to a swim after a long day. Otherwise, the hotel was a great choice at a great price.

Like other reviews say, breakfast was cold. I went at 7am and eggs, bacon and potatoes were cold. They need to invest on something that will at least keep it warm. Other than that, I had a great experience. Food at the hotel restaurant was good and affordable. Walking distance to the falls and restaurants. No issue with parking across the street. Front desk staff was mostly on their phones but were helpful when I needed help. Gym and pool were clean. Would recommend but please do something with the breakfast

The hotel is very nice, inside is very clean, very modern. The room was very clean and also modern. There is plenty of room and a very comfortable room for a family. The wiring in the room was a little strange as there is a switch by the door you have to have on (which turns on the light by the door) in order for the bathroom light switch to work. Outside of the room there is a gym and pool, be sure to ask as the pool was closed and there was no communication of this to guests until asked why we couldn't get into the pool. If I knew this I would have went with a different hotel as during winter you are also limited on activities. VERY disappointed in this part as my kids were very excited to go swimming. They do have a restaurant for dinner we also used one evening. I will say the foods presentation was very nice and you can tell the cook takes pride in their work, they unfortunately don't get quality food to work with however and I would not recommend spending your money there as there are cheaper better alternatives close by. All in all, I feel there was better options for my family I would have rather went with and spent my money on.

Friendly and very accommodating staff. Rooms are clean but during our stay, they were out of some supplies. Breakfast is good but it can be very busy so get downstairs before 8 a.m. to find seats and eat what you like before they run out of some food items. Workout facility has the basics for a quick workout. Didn't use the pool but the kids might enjoy it. The 6th floor deck is nice for relaxing and watching the nightly fireworks.

The only good thing about staying at this hotel is the convenience in the location. Not for from Maid in the Mist or the other attractions. When I arrived my check in was smooth. Going to my room 326, I did a sweep to make sure everything was neat. I noticed our duvet was dirty in several spots. I was immediately not at ease; disgusted!! I called for another to be sent to the room. That came at a reasonable time. The view out the window was the street with the bike rentals. I requested a beautiful view. The breakfast was basic and non consistent. If you arrived at 7 am you’ll get the best breakfast. After the good breakfast is gone they just brought out anything. My first choice of stay was the Seneca Casino; but they were booked. Next time I come I’m going to make sure I don’t stay here!!

Rachel Dorgan and her team at The Hyatt did a wonderful job in making sure accommodations were taken care of, among many other things. While I am usually a Marriott member, the professionalism and kindness shown was one for the record books. As long as she continues to to have oversight At Niagara, I will happily return over any other location. For once, I can truly say that the experience here triumphs over luxury.

  • 1/5 Cassandra H. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointed with my stay. The sofa bed and the nightstand were not throughout cleaned, there was something like chocolate crumbs on both the sofa bed and the nightstand. There was a layer of dust on the windowsill. The bottom of the shower curtain was full of water stains in red, which was DISGUSTING. The desk lamp was flickering and made my eyes so uncomfortable when working on my laptop. No laundry bag provided. It looks like there was an area with wine stains on the carpet. The only good thing is that the hotel is very close to the falls. However, with such a high price (nearly $400 per night) and such a bad cleanliness quality, I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. There are many other hotels nearby so no need to choose this one at all.

  • 4/5 Rob H. 1 year ago on Google
I picked this hotel mainly for the location, and I don't think I could have picked better. It's so close to the falls and an easy walk to just about anything you want to do nearby. Just a brief 10-15 minute walk and you can be at the falls. We mostly enjoyed our stay. The staff were VERY helpful and friendly, even going to find bandages when my son came in with a bloody knee from a fall in the park. It wasn't all perfect though... There were 4 (that I'm aware of) false fire alarms during our stay, the first of which resulted in my wife twisting her ankle on the step immediately out the rear door which hindered our pace throughout the rest of the day. A minor complaint, but one I'm sure they can remedy was the coffee... The coffee from the urn was the worst tasting coffee I'd ever had, and I saw other guests make faces when they tried it too. Breakfast was nothing to rave about, but there was something for everyone in our group of 5. Our room safe appeared to be locked previously so we were unable to use it as well. Overall though, I'm so glad we chose this hotel because it was in the heart of everything we wanted to do. If you don't mind walking to the many destinations within a 30 minute walk, this is the place to stay.

This was a great place if you’ve got little kids! For sure. Parking is right next door and only $5 per day through the hotel. It’s walking distance to everything in the park. Plus it’s right next to the Rainbow bridge to Canada so you can pop over quickly. The 6th floor area is what makes this hotel great. It’s got an outdoor patio that you can watch the fireworks from. The area upstairs is great for a quiet place to let kids run around. My daughter woke up at 6:30am everyday and we went up stairs and let her move around until my wife and son got up. The front desk staff was great too. Gigi was very helpful

Very clean rooms, check in a breeze Dining experience was terrific. Fast service. Best burger ever! Breakfast was good. Dining, lobby and overall hotel did NOT have any pet smell. Excellent view of park. Good value for the price. Definitely coming back.

This is our second time going. Both times we stayed here. The staff is friendly and always making us feel welcome. A big shout out to Nick. Our first visit he helped so much and it is so nice to go back two years later and see him still there. I can't wait to go back next year. We enjoyed the hot breakfast and friendly faces of all the staff.

Hotel was not very clean. We had to switch rooms after the first night due to dog hair on the pillows. Second room was pet hair free but the bathroom as gross. All of the faucets were so lose and felt as if they would fall off. Breakfast was good. The bartender was not friendly. Ashleigh, who worked the front desk was very friendly and the most helpful staff there. I would not recommend this hotel to others unfortunately.

Stayed a month ago, I didn't have a reservation and they were very accommodating and got me a room instantly with a view. Enjoyed our stay, clean and comfortable. The girls behind the counter and bar were very kind and helpful.

When on holiday/vacation in Niagara Falls, NY we stayed at Hyatt Place. Breakfast included (prepackaged❤️). The staff is friendly and helpful when looking for things to do and places to go (parking not included, no microwave in rooms). Nevertheless it is nicely located in walking distance of restaurant, shops, & clubs (if that’s your thing) and much more in terms of entertainment. Less than a 10 minute walk to one of the outlook points overlooking the Falls (USA side), and you can literally walk across the boarder into Canada (don’t forget your passport). There are a lot of things to do on the strip in Niagara Falls, Canada. The 4 star rating is based on taxes & parking fees (Canada side). One area was $10 for 30 minutes to park. Research parking before you go if you are driving across the boarder and there is a 13-15% tax depending on what you purchase. I still recommend visiting.

Pros: nice hotel, clean rooms, comfortable beds, good a/c/heat, they validate parking, great location to see all of the attractions, nice staff that provided extra blankets when needed. Just up the street (1block) is the Hard Rock Cafe. Fun place but be prepared to spend double what you would at a normal sit down restaurant (this is nothing for or against Hyatt just a side note). Cons: breakfast was subpar (2 maybe 3 out of 10stars), pool is small, parking is across the street in a parking garage on the 3rd floor.
