My son and I visited Niagara falls and stayed here 3 nights and I am so pleased with the choice I made with this hotel. It runs adjacent to the Niagara River, and behind the hotel there is a park and paved walking trail, that runs alongside the river, and leads directly to The Falls! Everything is in walking distance including Old Falls street, which is the Main Drag, leading down to Niagara falls. The street is lined on both sides with restaurants and food trucks and an Amazing atmosphere! And the bonus was being able to lay in bed and look out at the river. Beautiful Property!! Rhea at the front desk was so kind and helpful to me as well. Definitely worth the visit!

I hate to write bad reviews but I feel this is needed. I reserved three rooms for our trip. The bathrooms in all three rooms were not cleaned properly. The base of the toilets were not cleaned at all, the showers had hair in them from previous guests and in one of the rooms there was hair on the clean towels. There were four guests staying in each room and in two of the rooms only two towels were available. These things were reported to the front desk but house keeping never came back to clean the bathrooms nor bring more towels. I went out and got cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathrooms. When I told the front desk that house keeping never came back so I cleaned the bathrooms myself she simply thank me! Never did send more towels. The blow dryer was also broken in one of the rooms. Next morning several members of house keeping were in the hallway outside of my room. I asked them for more towels and they said I had to request them through the office. Which I did and never received them. I also told housekeeping my blow dryer was broken so they took it into the room they were cleaning, gave me the one from that room and placed the broken blow dryer in the bathroom of the room they were cleaning! So now the guest checking into that room will have a broken blow dryer! I asked them if they should report that to the management instead of placing a broken blow dryer in a room? They said they would let management know. It was baffling to me! I am giving one star because the location of this hotel is great. Right behind the hotel is the river and walkway that leads to the Falls. If it weren't for that this hotel would get zero stars.

The staff were friendly and the location of the hotel was good as it was within walking distance of Niagara Falls. The view overlooking the river from the room was fantastic. But the room we stayed in was not clean. The table had traces of food spilled from the previous guest, and there were many hairs on the bed sheets. And the worst thing was the bathroom.. Hair and dirt could be easily found on the bathroom floor. But overall it was a satisfactory stay.

When we arrived in Niagara Falls we thought we had a reservation at a different hotel but due to a mistake on our part we did not. We got a reservation at Double Tree but when we arrived there I discovered I had left my credit card and drivers license at the previous hotel. It was almost 10 pm and I was irritated that the previous hotel had neglected to give the items back to me. Before I could say much, an employee quickly offered to drive to the other hotel and retrieve them for me. What a relief! Both of the front desk employees were very accommodating and friendly. Such a nice thing to experience after a long drive and late at night. And to top it off the cookies we were given were so very yummy!! We also loved our view of the river out our room window. Just added to the already pleasant experience. I seldom take the time for reviews but after the kindness of the employee to get my credit card and ID I just had to post a review. Thanks so much!!!

When you book a room here try to get a room that faces the water. I enjoyed my stay. The shower had a built in bench. I slept so good in the king size bed. The pool is on the lower level and was wonderful. The jacuzzi was awesome ๐Ÿ‘Œ. When you arrive ask the front desk for a couple of their cookies. Probably the best gooey chocolate chip cookie I ever had (also has walnuts in them). They keep them in a warmer. I had to grab 4 more for the roadtrip back to Rhode Island.

Our stay was short, but this was a good stop. There is a charge for parking. I have seen people complain about that, but I expected it being in a touristy area. We didnโ€™t get the river view room and our view of everything was impacted by the wildfire smoke, but what we could see was good. We did not eat at the hotel or do much except sleep there, but it was a comfortable sleep and the room had plenty of room. We spent a good bit of time in the pool on the lower level. The gym looked good, but after being in the pool for 2 hours and having walked around, I didnโ€™t use it. It was really easy to walk over to the trail by the river and walk down the river to the falls. We walked to Maid of the Mist and then to Rainforest Cafe (donโ€™t judge, the kid picked) before going back to the hotel. We could almost see the fireworks from the hotel (after swimming and showering we almost forgot about them), so I would recommend heading back over closer to the falls if you want to see the fireworks. We didnโ€™t pay to eat any meals here or order room service so I canโ€™t speak for those things, but maybe next time.

Excellent room! I would've rather had a water view but overall it was nice. Close to the casino, restaurants, and customer service check in employees are so pleasant. Also very knowledgeable in the area with great tips on good pizza places nearby! Living out of state, I left my ID in the room by mistake, and it was handled so professionally and efficient by the staff. Thank you all again who made our experience unforgettable!

Great Stay! Who doesn't want friendly staff, super conveniently located to Niagara Falls Park, a comfortable bed plus complimentary cookies! Ammenities include gym and pool facilities, along with helpful Concierge which gives tourists recommendations and can sign you up for tours. Restaurant may appear pricey, but it's fair for the area and food was good. Overall nice option for the area.

Very pleasant staff, beautiful room and very clean. Restaurant was not the best paid 18 for a buffet that is usually free breakfast food at other hotels. They have a person selling tickets for a tour in the lobby, the tour is worth the money.

I am posting three stars because I do not wish to punish every worker in the hotel. Overall, the experience was good. But, I feel it is necessary to call out poor and unprofessional customer service at the front desk, the first impression. The front desk clerk named "Shaq" was a total zombie. No personality at all. No smile, no welcoming attitude in the least. It is as though she acted like the pleasure should be all ours just because we were in her presence. Worst attitude to have in the hospitality business. I also want to point out that the greeting in the breakfast dining room was poor. No napkins to handle the buffet style utensils everyone touches, and the glasses were spotted and dirty. Lipstick still remained on one. Please raise the bar in what is an otherwise nice hotel. What I am mentioning are bare basic standards that so many simply do not comprehend these days.

This place was beautiful! It was clean, well taken care of and the check-in and check-out processes were super easy. If you ask at the front desk, you can get a warm cookie anytime! No continental breakfast, but they do have free coffee in the morning in the lobby. They also have a restaurant that opens at 6 am. There is a buffet you could eat at or you could order from the menu. They are also a 15 minute walk from Niagara Falls. The walk is easy with paved paths and benches along the way. There was an additional $15 parking fee. We only stayed one night so I'm not sure if it was per day or total.

This was the perfect choice for our stay. The staff is amazing. Very accommodating. They were able to move us to a 9 th floor river view room with not problem. Gorgeous view. The location couldnโ€™t be more perfect. The dining room had a good menu and the food was good. The only reason for 4 stars for the room was the beds arenโ€™t very uncomfortable. I would stay again if we are going to come back

This is an excellent place to stay. Very good rooms. These 5 stars are for Casey. He was super awesome. We had some issues with our reservation and he was more than pro-active in helping us solve the issue. Managers like him can take your experience from good to out of this world. I would recommend this place, and kudos to people like him. We booked for late March.

Beautiful decor, comfortable beds, nice location, nice staff, enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi, complimentary coffee for breakfast hours. And the complimentary cookies available 24 hours were delicious. The regular $20 fee that is charged for parking was waived due to it being Valentine's Day what a extra perk. I will definitely stay there again.

The best view of the river and within (an enjoyable and beautiful) walking distance to the falls. our room was very clean and the staff was so friendly. The pool is huge for a hotel and the hot tub was so nice. Excellent amenities and staff! Highly recommend if youโ€™re traveling with kids.

We chose this hotel as it is very close to the falls. If you exit from the back of the hotel the walking trail is right, there along the river. The falls are about a 10โ€“15-minute walk. You can also park in the back lot. We checked in a little earlier than our time and thankfully our room was ready. The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful with everything we asked them for. Upon arrival they offered us warm chocolate chip walnut cookies. This quickly became a daily routine with the kids as one of the staff members let them know they can have as many as they want. ๐Ÿ˜Š Our room (two queen bed suite) was enough space for 2 adults/3 children. This room has a sitting area with a pull-out couch and another TV. This room also comes with a refrigerator and a microwave. The first day we got here within two hours we could not get into our room with the key, we later found out the battery in the key reader was dead. We headed down to the front desk and they let us know someone would meet us upstairs to fix it. Iโ€™m thinking we would be waiting forever however this pleasant and efficient maintenance man took less than 5 minutes to meet us to fix the battery and make sure it worked. On the second day we were here we realized we did not have a microwave in our room. When we went to the front desk, we were informed these rooms are supposed to have microwaves in them. Not too long later another pleasant and efficient maintenance man delivered us one. A note for families with children; they have a lot of TV channels to offer in the room during downtime. The housekeeping department came daily and always replenished our towels, made the beds, and collected the trash. Whenever we would need extra of anything they would always have it in our room. The kids loved the pool and jacuzzi and it was never overly crowded. We had breakfast twice at the hotel. The first day we did the breakfast buffet which included cereals, fresh fruits, oatmeal, yogurts, eggs, pancakes, French toast, breakfast meats, bagels, breads, pastries, juices etc. Children 10 and under were free. The food was good, and everyone enjoyed it. The staff at the restaurant were also very friendly. Fantastic hospitality by the entire staff during our entire stay.

The best hotel we booked on our US road trip. Location: close to the American side of the Niagara Falls. 10 mins by foot. Reception: welcoming and friendly. Chocolate chip cookies were generously offered at check-in and we even got a free upgrade to a room with jacuzzi and river view. Room was spacious and clean. Price for the room was well proportionate to the quality. Restaurant has plenty of delicious food options and we didnโ€™t pay too much for it (40$ per person for 2 cocktails, an appetizer and 2 main courses). I would definitely come back!

We had an excellent stay here at DoubleTree. The walking trails leading to the falls are easy to follow and there are several restaurants within easy accessibility. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well every night. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and did a great job overall. The balcony view is stunning and I love the window as well since it was chilly and rainy while we were there. The restaurant food was good and our server was excellent. A huge plus were the toiletry items...if I had known they had the pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash I would not have even packed any. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub area as it was especially relaxing after a long day out exploring. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend for others.

Very nice hotel! Beds were comfy, and loved the showers! Fitness Center was amazing. The chocolate chip cookie is a nice touch. The only thing I was disappointed in, was the $15.00 parking fee. Necessary?๐Ÿค”

Good hotel. The views of Niagra Falls weren't really what we wanted, but we didn't have the documents to take our newborn across to the Canadian side to stay the night. But it was close enough to walk down to the road and see them from the American side.

I stayed here for a few days and it is a great location if you want to visit the falls as you can walk there. Also not a bad place to stay to go to a Buffalo Bills game. Even though my overall stay was great I am leaving the one star for the following reasons - I was charged for something we should not have been. After several calls and each time I would end up talking to a manager, and they kept telling me that I would receive a call back after they did research. I have never received one single call back.

Weโ€™ve stayed only twice. Each time in the fall. You can easily walk to Goat Island. The restaurant has had great food both times (superior steaks) a comprehensive Bourbon selection, and great service. It is conveniently located close to the Peace bridge (<5 minutes), in a safe neighborhood, and the price is right. Thank you Sandy both times, making our meal a memorable experience. Not to mention the bartender for a superior effort in mixology, wherein my drink became a singular experience in itself. The whole team delivers.

This hotel is THE place to stay in Niagara Falls NY. Exceptionally welcoming and clean! Was there only one night for a business meeting and dinner in a spacious private dining room. Staff and servers were top notch and attentive. Our room overlooked the Niagara river. Beds very comfortable although it was a tad too warm. The best fillet Iโ€™ve had in a very long time! Kudos to chef. Breakfast buffet is a must! Yummy pancakes filled with a lovely Apple compote. A very nice stay indeed.

Enjoy the jacuzzi tub. The room had a wonderful view of the water. Rooms were immaculate, along with the staff being super friendly. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, but then so were the menu selections. Definitely try the biscuits and sausage gravy.

This location is excellent for viewing the falls. The hotel overall is clean, as are the rooms. The hotel does host venues, including weddings, which is why service gets such a low rating. We were told that our room would be above the wedding and that music would be turned off by 11pm. Not great, but at least we were warned. However, on the night of the wedding, guests park in the main parking lot, not in the event lot, taking all the available spots. When I inquired about this, staff was not only dismissive of my concern, but downright rude when I inquired about a parking credit since I had to park away from the hotel. They stated I would still be charged for parking. I think it is unacceptable to make paying hotel guests pay for parking if they arenโ€™t even parking in the hotel parking lot. In addition, we were never told about the hold on our card in excess of room charges. While I realize many hotels place a hold, I have always had this information disclosed at check in. Finally, despite appearing to be a nice hotel, the mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable. Normally Double Tree mattresses are plush and high end. These are not. For the amount we paid to stay here, I was not impressed and will not return to this location on future trips to the area.

Just had my wedding here this weekend where I stayed overnight for 2 nights. The service was amazing. And planning my wedding with Melissa was INCREDIBLE. Melissa LaNasa is absolutely phenomenal at what she does. This experience was so much easier because of her. I donโ€™t have words to describe how happy I am with my experience.

Very nice hotel. Warm, friendly staff, great restaurant. My only issue is that there was a strong draft coming from the ac unit. Towels helped, but it was still hard to keep the room warm. Other than that, great stay.

Hotel was clean... service was great!! We paid good $ for a view and the downstairs breakfast... Boo ๐Ÿ‘Ž on the breakfast, we paid extra for 4 adults to eat and it was the same free breakfast all Hilton's offer, what a disappointment.... We were not offered a menu to order from, we were just directed to the buffet ... I was so ๐Ÿ˜ก, what a waste of $, we do not recommend eating here... Cheap food

Great hotel and staff. Nice pool and spa. The gym is nice but has a funky rubber smell. Great outdoor area and on the beautiful Niagra River. The breakfast staff was great as was Caroline at the front desk. If I travel here again this is where I'll stay.

Melissa the event coordinator is great! She answered all of my questions, she was able to help facilitate my wedding. The front desk staff, the servers, bar/ restaurant staff and housekeeping staff were all very friendly, polite and helpful the whole weekend. Everything was very clean, and of course the cookies were great ๐Ÿ˜Š

There was a gross stain on the ceiling of the room. Sink was stopped up and maintenance had to be called. I banged my knee on the hotel bed frame which was significantly longer than the mattress. Parking was $15 per night but there was a sign that said if you park then your car is not the hotels responsibility. There needs to be a nutless cookie option at the front desk. On the contrary, the property was beautiful. Area seemed really safe and it overlooks the water. The front desk staff were super nice and welcoming. They were super professional and dressed well. I didnโ€™t eat at the restaurant but it smelled amazing.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service! The dining downstairs was really good and the waitress was PHENOMENAL! The hotel is right near the falls and a close walk to not only the falls, but also the entry into Canada where there are plenty of activities! Great stay! Definitely recommend!

This is one of the nicer hotels on our vacation. Floors not the cleanest, so not 4 stars. But not bad. The TV worked, room was big and the view was nice. The restaurant had pretty good food as well.

  • 5/5 Eric L. 1 year ago on Google
The location is perfect! I was able to walk to the American side of the falls in about 10-12 min. There are a couple coffee shops, restaurants and the casino within less than 10 min. walk! The hotel is very clean and was quiet! There is a restaurant in the hotel and although I did not eat there myself, I heard other guests mentioning how good the food was. There can be a view of the Niagara River, but not of the falls themselves! The Double Tree is only a 18-20 min. walk to the Canadian side if you like or a 5 min. drive.

The place is really clean and well maintained. The room is pretty spacious and really nice. Fridge is too small which would have been fine if we didn't have a lot of leftovers to put in. There was a problem with our room door lock and we ended up waiting about half an hour--super tired and hungry--to finally get in. I would have rated this place maybe 4 or 5 stars if we didn't have to go through this inconvenience.

  • 2/5 Jim G. 1 year ago on Google
Place is super clean, very nice staff, accommodating, restaurant was very good, hot tub and pool were great...and the cookies!! One downside which was a really big downside to this place. Do not expect to go to bed earlier than 11:30 on weekends. Their ball room has loud music playing until 11:30ish on the Friday and Saturday night that I stayed. It's maddening. So request a higher floor. Completely ruined my stay both days. Won't be staying again. Lovely hotel tho other than that.

Awesome location, great wait staff at the bar/ restaurant, they were cordial funny and generous. However, there were some minor problems with the rooms the first and probably the most problematic was my step son is a diabetic and his insulin had to be thrown away because it got to hot waiting for our room to be ready past check- in time. Lastly I don't know about you but I don't enjoy kicks to the shin waking up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, the beds overlay design is the perfect height to destroy your shins . BEWARE you've been warned.

  • 5/5 Samantha R. 2 years ago on Google
Front desk staff was so friendly!! Our hotel room/view was amazing. The best part of our stay was the pool by far! Our 8 year old son LOVED it, and the pool only goes to 4ft6(ideal for kids!) We would definitely stay here again!

Typical DoubleTree quality and service. For Niagara Falls, the location isn't right in the middle of the town area which for me was just right ... close enough to walk but much quieter overall. Would've been great to have a water view, but I was on a budget. Have to give props for their HUGE breakfasts - I was initially a little put out by the prices but as soon as I saw my plate I immediately recognized this was a good deal. I commented to the server that I'd like to see the chicken that laid those TWO eggs (per the menu) because they looked every bit like FOUR to me. Three full-sized sausage patties. Two full-sized slices of sourdough bread, crisp on both sides, with several jelly/jam choices. Decent coffee. The elevators were convenient to the front entrances and never had a wait. Good value for the price, but not quite 5-star in my book.

The hotel offers a beautiful view of the river and the location is within walking distance of the American Falls. Was able to grab a complimentary coffee each morning and walk a well paved path along the rapids. Scott was especially helpful in assisting with my booking. Friendly staff at reception desk, and the warm cookie whenever wanted is a nice treat. Clean facilities, comfortable bed/pillows and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

  • 3/5 Nanci B. 2 years ago on Google
Overall enjoyed my stay was good, the complimentary warm cookies and water at night is a plus. Informed about room service being slight did know that meant dirty linen would sit outside of door most of the day and overnight, the microwave (lobby) needs to be cleaned/wiped down more often lastly the restaurant serves good food just be prepared to wait. The trail leading to the falls is right out the back door

I was disappointed with this hotel. I was looking forward to the trip here. Our room was not well cleaned. There was a big stain on the carpet by the fridge. Fridge did not keep our food very cold and there was gum stuck on one of the bed frames. Walls are too thin. I could hear the conversation of the people next to us all the time. Most of the staff were helpful, especially the manager Monique at the restaurant. Exceptional service from her. The food was delicious also. The manager of the hotel was very understanding and worked with us to try to make up for the uncleanness of the room. Overall, I would like to see improvement l. This hotel has a lot of potential to be great. The view from our room was wonderful. Very close distance to the Falls.

A very comfortable hotel in a great location. The room was great and the staff were warm, helpful and friendly. The restaurant was surprisingly good wrt to quality of the food relative to price although the speed of service required some patience. We'll definitely be back.
