Good hotel, but I give only 2 stars. I’ll write down the strengths and weaknesses here: - it’s a 5-minute walk to the waterfall. - swimming pool, SPA - very good price. Now the disadvantages: - at the reception when checking in they never smile, it felt like they were doing a favor, despite the fact that there was no one there, we waited 20 minutes for the receptionist to talk on the phone. - The chlorine and pH levels in the pool are much higher than normal. - Despite the fact that the hotel was filled to a maximum of 20%, we were given a room at the very end of the corridor on the second floor with a view of nowhere. - Parking is paid and costs an additional $20, but that’s not the point, it’s the approach itself. - breakfast is poor

If not for the location, I would give this place may be just one star. You could clearly hear people talking and shouting outside your room. The place is very outdated and definitely needs some renovation. There is nothing special about the breakfast menu. Parking is also not on the location. It’s few blocks from the hotel. The place is very crowded, rooms are very small. If you need quiet stay then this is not for you. Positives are it’s very near to Niagara, easy access to food trucks and other restaurants. The rooms have refrigerator and microwave.

Other than the location I have nothing good to say. “Good Housekeeping” and hospitality is something it lacks. 1. Checked into two rooms not cleaned. 2. Multiple hallways needed vacuuming. 3. Hair dryer half melted. 4. Toilet paper roll hanging down missing screws. 5. Breakfast area for food and seating was so bad, counters messy, trash on floor, spills not cleaned up, we walked out. Disappointing as free breakfast is something we enjoyed at other Choice Hotels. 6. Two issues with the room door locks: the dead bolt would not turn and the chain lock was loose and half ripped off. We were only staying one night and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Plenty of other good location hotels in that area to pick from.

Booked the room through a third-party site. The only thing that was good about that was it was close to the falls. Everything else was terrible. The beds are comfortable, but have no view in the rooms. We were woken up by an unexpected guest. Roaches! Went down to the front desk to complain about our unwanted guest. The front desk worker was very helpful and friendly. She did attempt to switch rooms for us, but the room she put us into had a large urine stain on the bed. After that, we decide to leave at like four in the morning. (Pictures included) We ended up getting a room at the casino, which was very nice. Parking is $20 a day which in my opinion is very high. The casino offers free parking. Due to the issues with the rooms we were given a refund on everything. The problem is it took over two weeks for them to complete the return. I made several calls with no one returning my call or sending me an email confirming anything. I was given the runaround constantly. Always being told that the manager or someone who is able to issue the refund is not available. Luckily, I happen to get Victoria the assistant general manager on the phone one day. She was to help in fact, her attitude and the way she handled, the situation was highly unprofessional, when I told her we had roaches she hung up. I think it was so she could deny knowing. to call in five times in a row before someone would answer. When they did, they tried to tell me that Victoria wasn’t available, even though I had just spoken to her moments ago. I plan to call the Better Business Bureau as well as the health board. I would not have breakfast at this facility and if you do have to go just know it’s not very clean.

Guess it was okay, at best. Rooms were a little sketchy and small, but the beds were really comfortable. The bathroom is also really small; half of it is taken up by the shower. Breakfast is nearly always crowded in the morning. Kinda weird that it has a designated smoking room when everything else is non-smoking. The service is really good though, and mostly friendly. Nice location as well, with many nice shops and restaurants within a 5 minute walk.

This by far has been one of the worst stays in my travel experience. Parking is limited on property. There's a municipal parking near by. Check in took a while. However, the check-in staff were gracious. We had reserved a suite to accommodate 6. We were given a handicap room with only 2 queen beds. No sofa bed as advertised. Had to request foldaway beds. Room had flies, not one but multiple flies. Spent the first 30 minutes swapping them. Turns out room was above the dumpster. Couldn't use balcony. 2 towels for 6 people. 2 half rolls of toilet paper. Had to go to front desk 3 times. I'm not a picky person or complainer. However. The experience was terrible. Breakfast was mediocre. Breakfast area table were filthy with pizza grease from night before. Papa John's pizzeria in hotel uses the same tables. Had better stays in cheaper hotels. Sorry for my bad review of property. But there is no excuse. Other than the above. It's close to the falls and restaurants.

I love this place... got a good deal when a booked it. They have a complimentary breakfast lot to choose from. The room was clean, and the stuff was all nice. I recommend this place. 👍👍👍 The place is clean and front desk people are good but if you run out of anything you need like towels, tissues, toilet paper etc...that's the problem coz with our experience I need to come downstairs to get it for ourselves at " Concierge" 😕👎

This visit was horrible!! We went to check in, got to our room took our shoes off to walk on wet carpet. The mini fridge was not working properly and was leaking all over the floor. Was given a second room, that didn't work out either, as their were other guest in the room sleeping. The third room worked enough. The floor seemed like it had not been vacuumed in a while. The pool isn't supervised at all. Their we young children with out supervision. Then their we people able to come in the pool from the bar that were not guest, that were not swimming, and didn't have kids swimming that were caught taking videos of the children including my children. The only good part was the security guard that helped us. This place has definitely gone down hill!!!! Watch yourself and your babies!!!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The pool was the whole reason for the “staycation” with the kids. The pool is closed “until further notice.” Everyone has a different story of when it will reopen, but it made the trip pointless & the hotel refused to do anything about this. It’s a nice location if you’re not from around here, but we are. So it was a terrible stay, in a dirty, run down looking room. & miserable kids with no pool made it even more depressing. Black mold and a leaky window. Do NOT stay here. Oh and you have to pay to park in their lot or use meter parking. It’s kind of a joke. (You think I’m joking check out the pics)

Parking was extremely challenging for motorcycles. All sorts of issues with cleanliness and broken things that did not affect functions. IE : chipped walls. Paint on the floor. Buttons for elevator worked but the panels were seriously beat up and damaged walls Elevator floors had gum stuck on the carpet and stickers peeling off. So not a deal breaker to make things work but definitely not pretty. Breakfast was a joke. Cramped and no variety. Poor quality. I didn’t take pics cause I didn’t want them on my phone.

This is by far the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We stayed in 2 rooms and bother were equally as nasty unclean and kept! There was trash and garbage under the chair cushions and behind the nightstand. There was left over food and stains on the floor from previous guests, the mattress cover was ripped. the bathtub was stained from the dirty bodies that showed before the towel rack and the phone jack outlet and its wires were hanging out of the wall. One of our beds in room 336 was beyond broken unsafe and uneven. We asked for our room to be clean and we were told that it couldn’t so they just switched our rooms, that’s how they solved the issue so the sent us to another room that’s was just a gross. The tv remote did not work they ran out if soap the breakfast was cold even though it was on the hot buffet. The pancakes were freezer burnt. The parking was absolutely terrible. The towel rack in 412 was falling out of the wall along with the phone jack and the toilet in room 336 was wobbly not just the seat the entire toilet. This hotel needs to be condemned and not charging people over $200 a night for this terrible, repulsive and disgusting hotel stay. I met a women with a new born baby getting a room change from room 313 because rain was pouring into her room.

Housekeeping is the worst. We were there for 3 nights. No one gave us clean towels or dump our garbage. When I called the front desk, the phone rang and rang before someone answered. They began to tell me that they do not replace your towels or dump your garbage. So the lady asked me to come and get them. The girl was rude and I became upset with her. She was not very professional and she looked the part in a sweatshirt. It would of been nice if they told you that you were required to change your own towels and garbage. I will never stay there again.

Great location. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to see around town. Their gift shop was nice, lots of items to choose from with decent prices. Not enough parking at the hotel, but they recommended a parking garage across the street. The hallways leading to the rooms were very dirty, the pool was bubbling with grime so we didn't use it. the room was comfortable but a little rough; the sheets and towels had stains on them. Overall it was ok for the price, but I'd rather pay more next time for a cleaner place

Not a place I would recommend. Rooms were pathetic. We checked in a room that had no towels and above all, the bathroom door was broken. It came off the hinge. The housekeeping marked the rooms cleaned in the system but there were 4 more families with the same complain... uncleaned rooms- trash everywhere, bathroom no cleaned. Everyone was trying to change the room. We were able to change our room later in the night. Front desk person was helpful. The parking space is limited but the entire hotel staff parked their car and no space of the guest. Guest were forced to park in the garage and walk with kids and their luggage :( Not just hotel employees but also the Papa John's owner and their employee parked there too. This was a bad experience and I will not go to this place again.

Excellent hotel. We loved everything about our stay here. Clean, updated and well maintained. Easy walking distance to the American falls, maid of the mist, etc. Parking seemed limited, and might have been an issue, but we got lucky and found a spot in the hotel lot and just stayed there. Great place to stay when visiting the falls!

Great location and rates. This hotel is in need of some renovation. No housekeeping for multiple night stays. You have to go to the desk to get toiletries and towels. Manager in the gift shop was the most friendly and helpful of anybody. 5 stars to her. Hell, 10 stars. Dealing with tourists is hard and she is a champion of her craft! Chased a mouse through the lobby. Parking... a mess! You will walk for a block at least with your stuff into a garage with 8 flights of stairs to go 2 floors and elevators that don't work. Pool has so much chlorine is burns your eyes to go into the pool area. The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Under proper management and care, it could be awesome.

If it wasn't for location, this place would have almost zero guests. The people at the gift shop and front desk were nice, but the place itself is below standards. If this were an Indian restaurant, the smell of Indian food throughout the rooms, elevators, and hallways would be acceptable. However, this is NOT and Indian restaurant, and it's pretty nasty. There's no bathroom fan to suck the smell out of the room, either. Dirty carpets, very loud air conditioner, dirty window obscuring the view, and minimal on-site parking. The "breakfast" had good coffee and juices, but there are 4 waffle irons crammed into a small area if you want a hot breakfast choice. If you have the option, stay elsewhere.

The rooms were not the greatest, the pictures as advertised is not what they are. Beds are very uncomfortable and very dated. Staff was friendly and location was great for the falls, within walking distance. Do not go in the winter time as everything is closed. Hallways smelled of weed. I would not recommend with children.

Very close to Niagara Falls. You can go walking to the NY Park. The breakfast is excellent. The rooms are clean. They are building a gym. I understand now the rooms don't get clean every day. But at least a place to disposed the garbage bags will be nice. Also in my opinion the staff Can me more friendly.

Stayed overnight and had breakfast. Employees were kind and polite. Would recommend if trying to enjoy a weekend at The Falls. Parking is slim, might be a parking garage or on street parking, I don't know yet.

I’d give it zero if i could!!! Pool was closed when i got here and when it reopened it was disgusting! The room i reserved was NOT what i got. I got a jacuzzi tub and 1 queen bed and i got a room that didn’t even have a tub in it. Also the bar was closed. Staff was NOT very helpful. Basically just said not my problem. I wish we could add pictures

Room was clean, front desk was super friendly and helpful. Yes the hotel needs a facelift, but for being short staffed and it being off season they worked hard. Some of the reviews on here I have a hard time believing.

After getting turned back at the Canadian border I needed to spend the night in Niagara Falls to wait for my COVID test results to be admitted. This hotel was located in close proximity to the border and was convenient for my purpose. The room and facilities needs better cleaning, especially during these COVID times. The wifi is spotty, the breakfast had expired pre-packaged goods, and I was charged $12 for a resort fee that I was told would be <$2. My expectations were 2-star, and this was 1.5 stars. Only way I'd stay here again if I was in another border-complication situation.

The room itself and the hotel location were great. Everything else needs an upgrade and the breakfast was abysmal. The room was large with good beds, a desk, easy chair, etc. but there were dead spiders in the corners, a soap bar left over from earlier visitors, and a heavy draft from the window. Stairs were taped up because of broken and sharp edges, one elevator was not working, only half the employees were friendly and the breakfast was plastic wrapped muffins, a bit of yogurt and cereal and the possibility to make waffles.

  • 3/5 Ruaira M. 1 year ago on Google
It's mostly clean and very close to the falls. The beds are hard as a rock. The bathrooms are tiny (the door nearly touches the toilet) and things seem to be crumbling apart around the edges. The shower was decent. The bar and grill advertised on the sign does not exist - there's a bar and a papa John's and a street burger place (burgers were simple but juicy and good).

Just a short walk away from the Falls. Friendly attention at the reception at check in. The rooms all have 2 queen beds. Refridge, microwave and good quality coffeemaker in the room. Nice basic bathroom, was clean but the lamp with the ventilator was very dirty. Free parking. Free coffeeservice at reception for hotel guests. The breakfast is not worth to go to. Indoor pool for guests.

This is by far THE worse stay Ive ever had. There is quite litterly abiut 20 parking spots. Had to walk several blocks in 30ish degree weather to park in a run down poorly maintained municipal parking whose elevator wasnt working. The halways in the hotel smelled like smoke. The workout room was boarded up and not clean. And if all that wasnt enough the walls were paper thin making and already uncomfortable mattress feel ever worse as I got zero rest. I open the fridge and it fell out of the cabinet and the bathtub was poorly cleaned. Oh and it sadly sits a town that is just as rundown so maybe it fits. I will however state that the lady at reception was quite pleasant and efficient. Kudos to her for being pleasant under the conditions she works in. I will NEVER stay at a Quality again

Hotel is outdated. Long lines to check in and out, as well as lines to get on and off the elevator. Staff were not rude however not friendly by any means. They were very straight faced and no one smiled remotely when they made eye contact. Most staff didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. The room was decent, really as clean as it could be however very outdated and needs some changes. Old carpeting throughout the hotel. The pool area was decent if you can manage to get there before its packed however pretty small. There were two restaurants on site neither too badly priced, but also packed and busy. We arrived at 3:45 for check in, we were told the room would not be ready til 4(everyone was told the same) this lead to having to wait in a huge line twice just to get back in the line and wait until 430 to get back up to the desk again for check in. There is a $100 room charge on top of the amount you pay to book($424 a night)so expect that when checking in. I personally wouldn’t want to pay more than $150-200 a night however the location is great and this is really what you’re paying for.

Choice chains should really evaluate their front line employees, the person in charge yesterday evening has no idea how to deal with the public. She blamed me for her not asking the appropriate questions and then stated that since I walked away she was no longer responsible to be engaged in my question. Would have been easier to acknowledge that she could have been more proactive and professional. If you need a hotel in this price range, Comfort Inn is across the street, I'm staying there tonight.

We were put in 2 different rooms before we canceled the reservation and left. First room had a dead bug under the pillow and some substance all over the walls. We went down and let them know and we were given a second room. This one was worse. Pulled back the sheets and there was something black all over it. The room smelled awful. I moved the pillow to check it and there was something stuck to the pillow. Carpet had food on it still from the last guest. Went back to the desk and asked for a refund. No apology given. We went across the street and got a great room for $10 more.

  • 1/5 Jose P. 9 months ago on Google
When checking in you are charged a $100 damage deposit and I booked two rooms making it $200 in total. I was told it was fully refundable when checking out and now it has been 2 weeks and I have not had it refunded. I called 6 different times and they only picked up 3 of those times. Each time they did pick up all they did was note down my name, phone number, room numbers that were booked, and told me the manager will give me a call back and I do not hear from them again. I tried emailing them and I do not get an answer back either.

Chose this location for its proximity to the falls and so did everyone else! Check in was at 4pm and there was a Disneyland size line just to check in. The front desk staff did their best and had to get manager support just to get thru the process. It took just over an hour to check in. Parking at the hotel was a nightmare. The hotel is a 300 room hotel with maybe 50 parking spaces. The room was somewhat clean. The keurig water fill was black with mold🤮. The shower had mold all around the bottom rim. A little bleach spray would clear it up. The halls on the second floor had a strong smell of curry. The positives include comfortable beds and very close proximity to the fall, it was easy for us to walk to the falls. I would not stay here again.

Super hot inside, no air in the hotel. Room air could not cool the room entirely. Water barely got warm enough to shower. Our door was actually broken when we checked in. You could open it an inch and see in our room. The pool was filthy, too dirty to allow kids to swim. Breakfast was disgusting, not edible. We threw it away and paid for breakfast. Parking was also a nightmare (this was a small inconvenience compared to the rest of the issues). Would never stay there again. And it was not cheap!

  • 1/5 Crystal M. 9 months ago on Google
Absolutely awful! The lobby isn’t bad, but that’s about all that was good. First, there is zero parking. We got trapped in the tiny lot because two people parked in places that were not spots and blocked the way. You have to park in a garage that it very crowded and hard to find a spot. Also, the elevator lobby is literally infested with quarter sized spiders. We walked in to two queen beds and wondered where our 5th person was going to sleep. Then we saw where they removed the adjoining room door and walked into the other part of our “suite”. It was a room with a fold out love seat, a counter top area, and also a jet tub in the middle of the room! Not a suite!! Our bathroom was so tiny the toilet was almost in the tub. There was no water pressure, it only got lukewarm and then turned ice cold halfway through. At least the bed was somewhat comfortable with plenty of pillows, but we had no blanket for the pullout. Caution, you get less than you pay for this place.

Dirty, dirty, dirty hotel! Dirts on the edge of the rooms, hallway, and in outside area. Breakfast foods are mediocre. The sign stated to give towels on the third day, but they never did because they are so cheap. Messed up my transaction even though they said they did but never did it. The only good thing is that it is close to Niagara Falls and outside area have activities. You get what you pay for! Wouldn’t recommend!

Delicious breakfast but rude breakfast staff who didn't like being asked for anything and never smiled. Rest of staff awesome. Clean rooms, hallways, entrances, parking lot and elevators. Fantastic location smack dab in the middle of Niagara Falls.

  • 2/5 L F. 10 months ago on Google
Great location to Falls, restaurants, and park. We could see the mist from the waterfall from our room. We also got our request for connecting rooms. Hotel itself seemed grungy. Our room had a toilet that wasn’t set securely so it rocked on the floor. Chaotic checkin. Seemed people who weren’t guests were using the pool. Staff didn’t seem very welcoming. Were overheard saying that there was no more shampoo. Poor planning there.

Location, Location, Location. Close to major attractions (especially Niagara Falls Park). The receptionist (Tracy) has done tremendous work to ensure we have a pleasant stay. She is one of the best that we have encountered. The breakfast is ordinary and but really you get what you pay for.

  • 4/5 A B. 1 year ago on Google
The place is pricey ($304 for a 2 queen bed suite). The room had a jacuzzi in the middle of the living room which was the highlight of the stay there. It was useful. The room was spacious, beds were comfortable and had necessary amnesties. One complaint is that the windows leaked water when it rained and water drenched the carpet in the bedroom. The carpet was old and stained. Overall, the hotel building however looks and feels shabby and bad need of renovations. The gift shop downstairs is nice. But the bar in the hotel does not serve good drinks, we were looking for some Grand Marnier / Cosmopolitan or Grey Goose and none was there.

All I can say is that this hotel is in need of an upgrade. One photo I'm attaching to this review is of a chair that's in the lobby. The condition of that chair pretty much sums up the condition of the hotel. Worn out! The windows surrounding the pool area, facing the street, look like they haven't been cleaned in months. Also, the breakfast at this place is terrible! See the photo of the Egg/Omelette and sausage I attached. Only decent thing there was the waffles. They have four waffle makers and you basically have to make your own. There was a pile of fruit, oranges etc, that my wife told me some of the oranges had mold on them. I wanted to get a photo to post here but someone else had already complained and gotten them removed. I was told by another guest that anything that doesn't get eaten today and refrigerated overnight and put out again the next day. In the photo of the hallway, I wanted to show that it reminds me of a construction zone with carpet. The color of the walls remind me of looking down a hallway of unfinished drywall with temporary lights strung up. Without a doubt, the best thing about this hotel is its location. It's just one block away from the entrance to the Niagra falls park.

Location is awesome. Nice family Games on sides walks like connect four ping pong foosball. Short walk to casino and everything!!! Yes there are some small issues (small bathroom ) but we had room 208 and 412 . Perfect view of fireworks at 10’pm sharp from window! Out over comfort inn.

Stayed back in October. It is in a great location. We walked to do everything we wanted to do. But we got a handicap room and the door would take forever to shut. The toilet was lose. The pool that was supposed to be heated was ice cold and the hot tub was barley warm. They gave us hand towels for the pool. Parking was very confusing because there was no place open to park but during check in they informed us of the parking garage. And validated parking at checkout. Wasn’t a fan of the pizza. But overall for the price wasn’t a bad stay.

The hallways smell like beer, the walls are paper thin and sometimes the key to open the room wouldn’t work and we had to ask for a new one multiple times. The bathroom was very small and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. The breakfast was just fine. The breakfast area was a little dirty. The pancakes were a little bit cold but the taste was fine. The good thing about this hotel is that it was very close to the falls. If you aren’t going to be in the hotel room that much this hotel is an okay place to stay.

Our 4 day stay at this location was fantastic, customer service was very courteous. Mike the GM was fantastic as well as they Legends bartender Jodi. We hope to go back for another stay in the future, our daughter got married in the chapel there. The venue as well as they wedding staff were very attentive and did a superior job for the wedding.
