It’s
a
shame
that
I
have
to
give
a
Marriott
property
3
stars,
but
unfortunately
I
do
in
this
case.
We
drove
from
New
Jersey
on
Friday
night
and
had
a
falls
view
suite
for
the
weekend.
When
we
arrived
late
Friday
night,
we
were
told
that
our
room
was
not
available
and
that
we
would
be
given
our
falls
view
suite
the
next
night.
While
the
night
manager
was
friendly
and
very
apologetic,
it
was
frustrating
because
we
drove
7
hours
to
stay
at
this
hotel
with
a
falls
view
specifically.
It
shouldn’t
matter
how
late
we
arrive;
if
we
pay
for
a
specific
room,
that
room
should
be
held
for
us
regardless.
The
ice
machine,
pool,
and
hot
tub
were
all
out
of
service
for
the
entire
duration
of
our
two
night
stay.
Full
disclosure,
we
weren’t
planning
on
using
these
amenities,
but
the
handwritten
notice
about
this
was
unbecoming
of
a
Marriott
property.
At
12:30
AM
the
fire
alarm
went
off
while
we
were
sleeping
and
we
had
to
evacuate
to
the
street.
This
wasn’t
a
problem,
however,
the
staff
seemed
very
disorganized
about
what
to
do
during
and
after
this
event,
and
aside
from
PA
notifications
about
the
building
being
safe,
there
was
no
further
guidance.
I
have
to
say,
however,
given
all
of
that,
the
view
of
Niagara
Falls
from
the
room
on
the
second
night
(the
first
night
we
had
a
view
of
a
dumpster)
was
spectacular.
The
staff
were
also
very
friendly.
Overall,
I
would
expect
much
better
from
a
Marriott
property.
