If you are looking for an upscale, updated, new, fresh, clean, 5-star hotel, this is NOT the hotel for you. If you are looking for a beautiful view, close to all attractions, on a budget, and don’t have high expectations, this is the hotel for you. The hotel is outdated and rundown. Has a weird old smell throughout the building. The rugs are retro and dirty. Walking barefoot in our room grossed me out. They say no smoking but my balcony was covered in cigarette butts & joint roaches when we arrived. We would smell marijuana constantly just sitting on our balcony but at least we never smelled it in our rooms or the building. There is no maid services. We had to make trips to the desk to ask for everything we needed. (Towels, toilet paper, tissues, cups, etc.) Parking is super scarce, especially at night when tourist use the hotel parking as a paid parking. We were charged $15 a night to use their parking lot. One night we were almost unable to find a spot because of all the tourists parking in the hotel parking lot. Our air conditioner was on max and we never came back to a cold room. It seems like you have control over your room temperature but I think the hotel controls it. The hallway was colder than our room. It always felt stuffy after returning. They have a breakfast buffet in the morning. We always smelled the bacon but never was intrigued to look or try it. I gave this hotel 3 stars because of the location and view. If it didn’t have that it would of been a 1 star. Hopefully they update and renovate this hotel soon. So much potential for this location.

room stank, the walls were peeling, the sheets had old blood drops on them, comforter had skid marks. the bathroom was mouldy and the tub faucet wouldn't turn off completely. the "air conditioning" made a loud grinding bang every hour. the halls smelled terrible as well. we won't ever stay at a Travelodge by Wyndham again. great view of the parking lot. it was pretty gross, actually. the breakfast buffet was delicious but should have been included in the room rate. was a terrible experience overall

"Fallsview" in the name is very misleading. It's more like river view and if you choose the Fallsview side, you have to crane your neck so far out from the balcony just to see it. Our room and the hotel itself was very dated and old. The heating and cooling is also very old and did not work well during our stay. The bathroom is so small that only one person can use it a time. The hallways were dark and had very strong musky, dusty scent. I went when it was Memorial Day weekend for the States so they were fully booked with lots of groups and because the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. We had to deal with kids running down the hallway and just groups of people hanging out outside their rooms talking loudly in the middle of the night. If you're also in a room with a balcony, you can hear all the cars going down the road.Plus you have to pay $15 for daily parking. It's about a 15 minute walk to where all the attractions are and even further to get closer to the falls. Only good thing is the service but aside from that, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Check in was fine and the price for parking was reasonable. I like the area. The Hotel is dated but it is expected as I knew it was an older Hotel. Beds were fine and room was good however there was one big problem. After coming in after a great night out I smelled something odd but didn't look into it. Waking up in the morning the smell got worse around the bathroom area. Upon inspection there was buildup in the toilet! Toilet was not cleaned properly. I had to shut the lid to keep the smell in. Glad I was there for only one night. This would have been easily a 3+ star hotel but to have housekeepers overlook and ignore this is not acceptable. For this I can't go back.

Worst $500 spent ever for a single night. There were series of events which makes it a horrible place to stay. We were about 8 people booked 2 separate rooms next to each other for a single night. Right after check-in, security guard keep knocking our doors and say slow down our volume otherwise they would have us kicked out at the night time. Staff has to understand that if there are 8 people in a room and if all of them speaks in a general tone, voice would come out. They have provided us the rooms in the middle of the corridor instead they should have give us somewhere in the corner which would the best choice for all. Then, there is no microwave in the room which was not convenient. I am not sure about their intention of not providing one in the room. I mean how could someone eat their food cold. And, there was this guy who seems to be a manager of that place was making gestures at the time departure to leave and not to come again at this place. We were not rude at all with any of the staff member and this behaviour was totally unacceptable. I would highly recommend not go at this place as they are UNPROFESSIONAL. Rating - **0/10**

This hotel provided a great night's sleep! The bedding and mattress were very comfortable. The decor/bathroom are outdated but clean. (Reminded me of "Home Alone" house) The hairdryer in our room didn't work and the front desk sent a new one right away. This place is a five minute walk to all of the fun stuff but out of the heavy traffic/loud areas. Falls view was just steps away from the front door

I’ve stayed in this hotel twice now. I have stayed both times in rooms with the jacuzzi. One with a heart shaped tub and the other was a jungle theme. Both times it has been very cozy, clean and never any weird smells. The heart shaped tub is amazing and perfect for that vintage aesthetic. We took amazing photos in it and the water was hot and so relaxing. The walls are a little thin sometimes can hear your neighbours. All the staff have always been nice as well. It is a good value for the price it’s a close walk to clifton bill and the view isn’t of the falls but the river is quite pretty. no free breakfast it cost $15 a person which is kind of a lot and drinks not included in that. But other than that I love this place!

Rooms and washrooms are clean. They don’t clean the room during the stay so try to keep the room clean while you stay. Located close to transit and only a short walk way from the attraction. The city view room actually give a view to a parking lot 🙂. Recommend at the price point.

Super great location. Super close to Clifton Hill strip, and across the street from the Falls. Check-in was fast, check-out even faster. The room was big, the bathroom was clean, the towels were super soft, and the beds were fresh and clean. TV, coffee/tea, fridge, iron, hair drier, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, and body lotion are all provided (like a typical hotel) We stayed 2 nights, they did not turn my room even though I had put the sign on my door, so we didn't get fresh towels or had our garbage cleaned out... I also paid for a "city view" room and my window ended up facing the glass/wall to the pool and a sliver to the parking lot. So it kinda felt like I paid too much for a "building view" ..cause I couldn't see the "city" at all. The pool was nice. We went first thing in the morning so the water was still a little cold but as you swim around you could feel warm streams coming into the water so I know it's temperature regulated... it's just that we went as soon as it opened so the water hadn't warmed up yet. They offer breakfast buffet for I think $15 per person from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. however because we went swimming in the morning we didn't make it back on time for the breakfast so I can't comment on the quality of the food. The hotel is a bit dated, and the rooms need updates like new wallpaper or fresh paint and wall art, but honestly, we didn't care. We knew it wasn't at a luxurious Hotel so as long as the room was clean and the beds were clean and the bathroom was clean that's all we care about. Parking is $15/day. Would stay here again.

Room is dirty, ac barely works, toilet handle runs constantly so you have to mess with it to make it stop. Wifi barely works. Not at all as advertised and for the money paid in really disappointed and still have 4 nights to stay. I always choose Travelodge because normally it's a guaranteed clean and dependable hotel but I'm pretty disappointed. 😥

Beautiful view, has verandas. Unfriendly staff encountered, my room was not the one I reserved rather it was small & on the wrong floor, dirty and dated. The other guests were loud and the walls are paper thin. Travelled with my family we were very unimpressed and did not get any sleep. Very unsatisfied with this experience as I was celebrating my birthday.

Stayed here mid June 2023. My room had a hot tub and a king sized bed. Room was clean for the most part there was iron burns in the carpet . But the room itself was clean and it’s slightly out dated but it was ok. The breakfast buffet is amazing! So was the waitress working! Such a pleasure to talk to! I would recommend this breakfast buffet over ihop or Denny’s! Only 14 bucks and the food was awesome !

This place is retro but clean! The cleaning staff are so wonderful, the manager and front desk people that we dealt with were incredible. Pool, hot tub and sauna were clean and always working. Spoke with the maintenance guy and he checks PH every 2 hours. If you can get over the retro (we loved it) it’s a great spot and a 2 minute walk to Clifton Hill.

Very dissatisfied with the one-night stay. The worst hotel for the money you pay to stay here for the location. I was charged USD $180 one night for the old, dirty, stinky room. Keep in mind that the balcony was very dirty and the iron bar railing was very rusty and would cause an infection on open wounds. The building was built in 1965 and everything was very old and the carpet stinks. The Canadian Tourism/Hospitality Board should make routine checks on these hotels to keep tourists safe and not fall into false information about hotel safety and hygiene requirements. I would recommend the Canadian tourism board fine unethical hotels such as this for not keeping up with the health of the environment and maintenance of the rooms in the building. The room and balcony were maintained poorly. There was rust on all the balcony railing bars, it was very disgusting to stand there. I would not recommend this hotel.

With multiple Travelodge locations in the area, I accidentally booked the River Road location (this one) instead of the Clifton Hill location. What an unpleasant surprise when we walked into our room. Brown stains on the chairs, iron stains on the carpet. Toilet flusher doesn't work properly and will run all day/night unless you stick your hand in the top tank and manually fix it yourself every time you flush. The shower curtain is on an angle so it doesn't stay closed while you shower and water goes everywhere. The bed is definitely not a standard Queen size like the description - probably a double. The blankets are small and thin. There is NO room cleaning during your stay. They tell you to tie up your garbage and leave it outside the door. Outside of the room, the coupon books in the lobby were expired, the pool was filthy with hair and dirt, and the hot tub water was brown/black. No part of the pool area smelled like typical chlorine as you'd expect. It just smells musty and old. The elevators are also very old and slow. In fact - we got stuck in one! It went to our floor and then only opened about 6 inches. We had to press all different buttons in there to get it to close and then reopen. Not impressed - will never be back.

The location of Travelodge by Wyndham in Niagara Falls is great, with easy access to the attractions and stunning views. The staff was courteous and the room was clean and comfortable. However, the amenities were basic and could have been improved. Overall, it provided a decent stay, but there is room for enhancement to make it an even better experience.

$137 with taxes and fees, yes I will give a 5star you get what you pay for, and I loved it! Cheesie outdated room! Loved it! 60s style heart shaped tub with jets and balcony room! Loved it! 3rd floor carpeting gave a “shining” kinda vibe, LOVED IT! the place was clean, my room was clean. I went swimming and hot tub afterwards, this was a gift from my husband cause he knows I love the cheesiest of cheese. Best birthday gift ever! From my balcony I saw the falls and the river, and I can’t wait to go back again!

I have never written a bad review for any business before, but I feel compelled to write about my experience last night. We took our one-year-old son on his first hotel trip and visit to the waterpark. The fire alarm went off at 9 pm and woke him; it went off again at 1 am and again at 2:40 am. At that point, it had woken him up into a hysterical state because it was so loud. So, I took him down with me to see if we should stay since it seemed to be an issue. We went down to see other families with children leaving and were told it was someone smoking on the third floor, and they don’t know the room. They seemed to think it was normal to have all these children woken up various times, needing to come down to the lobby. It seemed like it happens often. After getting absolutely nowhere, I just went back up to try to get some sleep. It went off again at 5:40 am, and there was no getting back to sleep. We wrestled around for 2 hours to get my son to get a little more sleep. Finally, when we checked out, we were told it’s an ongoing electrical issue they can’t resolve, and, in fact, it was not someone smoking. They gave a tiny portion back to a few of us, although a full refund would have been acceptable with the strange behavior behind lying about issues. I do not recommend this hotel for families or the elderly, at least for the next few months. I would spend the extra money and go to a hotel that will take full responsibility for their shortcomings.

Excellent budget choice for a family 2 night get away to the falls. Great location to Clifton Hill and the Falls. Stayed here twice in one month. It’s definitely not fancy, but if you are looking for a clean room with friendly staff and a short walk to all the action. I recommend checking this place out.

Please avoid Room one five. Carpet is dirty. Smelly, very old property. Toilet moves. Bath tub paint peeling. People at breakfast are nice. Breakfast is not so great

This is a wonderful place to stay in Niagara, Canada. It is very close to the falls (you can see them from the balcony of your room). The breakfast buffet was very tasty too. Carry a lot of drinking water with you whenever possible, as you may have to spend money and buy it from shops nearby. The pool is also good, just check the pool timings with the hotel staff.

Our stay was during Winter, the Falls is naturally, quieter. This hotel sits away from the noise of tourists, but is still very conveniently located. Clean, vintage vibe in our room - loved it! Staff were friendly, professional. Bed and pillows comfy. Only wish is that there was a microwave. If not in the room, then maybe in the breakfast area?

Clean and nice jacuzzi! We checked in around 3:30pm but our room wasn't ready till about 4:20pm. That was a bit annoying but they eventually gave us a little discount for the inconvenience. Room was a little dated especially the bathroom, but great stay overall.

Rooms were interested in t. It’s was like a box of chocolates. You didn’t know what you would get. We were there with a hockey team and all the rooms look like they came from the 70s. Our toilet didn’t work properly and we had to life the tank lid and push a button each time we used it so it would fill with water. I will say the rooms are at least clean. Definite not worth the amount they charge for weekends.

The rooms were a good size and the bedding and towels were all clean with minor staining on them. The front desk workers were rude and didn’t care about you at all. The pool was a good temperature as well as the hot tub. There was also a workout room inside of the pool room for minor workouts. We could see the falls if we leaned over one corner of our balcony but if you were put in one of the hotel rooms at the back of the building the only view you would get is of the parking lot. It was only about a 5 minute walk from Niagara falls and Clifton hill. Overall this hotel is clean and family friendly.

Staying at this hotel was an experience. Stains on the floors, walls, bathtub and towels. One of a kind experience. The lack of attention to detail Is concerning. Bathroom was outdated atleast 35 and seemingly disgusting. Never have I felt dirty after taking a shower and brushing my teeth until I arrived at this "goldmine". The non inclusive 12-15 dollar breakfast which was not inclusive to the room was utterly heinous. Never would I recommend this cesspool to my worst enemy. Stay some where else. You have been warned.

Hotel needs renovation , the air condition is either super high and loud or off, there's no way to fix it, bathroom needs a good scrub. I was given a room with a view on the parking lot so very disappointing and was woken up several times but all the travelers shouting whilst getting their luggage over. One thing I liked was it's next door to Bird Kingdom. Breakfast at 13.95$ , beverages are not included was way overpriced , too salty. The lady serving the table was really amicable though.

Filthy hotel. If you go with expectations you will still be disappointed. The entire place is old and dirty. I would not recommend it to anyone. Spend the extra 100 a night totally worth it. Needs a complete tear down and redecorated. Even the driveway is patched and horribly maintained. Our A/C stopped working twice. It stinks too. Coffee maker our room was disgusting. The falls were great.

This hotel is very dated. The wallpaper is peeling and the carpet is dirty. There is no continental breakfast during the week. You have to pay extra for parking. The supposed heated pool was freezing! I won’t be back. I’d rather spend the extra money on something more up to date and without false advertising. The staff was not pleasant to deal with either.

  • 1/5 Dianna A. 2 years ago on Google
The room was very tiny, not like the pictures at all. The balcony door was so hard to open and close. The description of the room was very misleading, queen beds were only double beds. The bathroom was so small it was hard to get in and close the door, shower did not work well. We found nail clippings beside the bed on the floor. No ventilation or fan in bathroom The hallways smelled horrible. The pool was very cold, hot tub was too hot. Shower in pool area not working. Slippery stairs leading up to the hot tub.

Very friendly and helpful staff here. The rooms themselves could be renovated a bit but it does have a rustic cozy feel to it. Pool is nice and was open as well.

  • 3/5 M M. 2 years ago on Google
We booked a king room with hot tub. The bed was super comfy and the hot tub jacuzzi was great. However the bathroom was tiny and old & dated/ needs fixing.
