No continental breakfast, unless you consider cold cereal a continental breakfast. Don't try to sleep in. You can hear EVERYTHING going on in the entire hotel. No turn down service, "because of covid", but not even an offer to change linens at all. We were supposed to be there for three days, 2 was enough. Avoid at all costs. Bathroom doors wouldn't shut. Toilet seats broken and lopsided. No cable. Just analog maybe if u were lucky you got 8 channels. The rest all static. Room smelled like smoke. No coffee pot or microwave. Cobwebs in corner of rooms. The only good things were the pool was decent and the location was convenient for our trip.

If I could leave 0/5 stars, I would. Worst hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in. Our room was disgusting, had a hair on the bed and stains on the sheets. It looked like there was cigarette ashes on the walls in our smoke-free room. It reeked of body odor. There were holes in the walls and unfinished caulk blobs on the walls. The presentation of our room looked nothing like the pictures. We were 100% catfished into thinking this was a nice hotel. My husband and I were so disgusted, we left immediately and went across the street to the Marriott. We booked this through Expedia and Expedia was excellent when we complained but kahlika was not helpful. We asked for our money back, and Khalika declined our request. Do not go to this hotel, they are cheap and do not care about their customers. Kahlika could have avoided this 1 star review if they would have just given us our money back.

The worst ever hotel I stayed at. The behavior of the staff is very unprofessional and rude. They don’t know any manner how to behave with their customers. The room service didn’t give any soap for the shower. So I asked for it over phone. They sent a lady with soap and the lady was saying very rudely, “ we don’t give any room service. If you need anything you have to come to the front desk.” If I have to pick it up from the front desk, why didn’t you tell me that over phone? They have complimentary breakfast which is very basic and they don’t even serve an egg in the breakfast. During breakfast you will not get any seat to sit there and there’s a long queue for anything you wanna pick up for breakfast. Again, the lady was asking me rudely to stay aside when I was just pouring my cup with juice! If she needed to refill, she could just wait 10 seconds since I was already filling my cup.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay with breakfast this is your place. We stay for 5 nights and walk 20 min to Niagara. Another hotel around Kalika is 50$ more and without Breakfast. This place was great! The bed was clean and comfy and I did not see bugs in the bed as other reviews stated. NO weird smell in my room or hallway. Breakfast was OK (Waffle, plain bagels, Mini muffin) very simple breakfast, and the hallway carpet was a mess but clean. (You can tell it's old carpets and maybe need a new one) The manager June was very nice and respectful. I believe June is a new manager and she is doing a great job. Because I arrived Monday and leave Saturday the hotel was quiet until Friday were more people arriving and noise on Friday night. The room smelled clean and the mattress was relatively new. Good deal for the price we paid and the proximity to the falls is great (about a 20-minute walk).

Hotel Kalika, in proximity to the US Niagara Falls, is a good place to stay. Although it is not a high-end and alluring one, it is conveniently located near the rainbow bridge US - Canada border and the Falls. In about 20 - 25 minute walk along the fast-flowing, roaring, picturesque river which termites in to the smallest of the 3 falls (the bridal veil fall), one can reach one of the natural wonders of the world. Ground + 2 floor hotel offers breakfast in the morning, and the spacious rooms are equipped with some basic facilities such as an air conditioner, a small fridge, a wall mounted television, a table lamp, and free wifi. The free parking place had enough space to park the customers' vehicles. The staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. Over all, we had no complaints with anything, and we were happy to stays there for 2 nights.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The whole establishment smelled nice and fresh. Breakfast was basic but fresh and tasty. The room was very reasonably priced and the hotel is conveniently placed to a lot of attractions. All in all, It is (we are still here!) a very enjoyable visit. My only complaint is a total lack of vending amenities on the property--no soda machines or snack machines anywhere and the absence of microwaves in the room though the add showed them

Apart from limited parking. The hotel is fine, the staff is friendly, the room was clean. I would stay there again. PS: You guys need to figure out a way to make the pool water WARM. 😆

Employees were nice and friendly. The room was nice and seemed clean and well kept. With a newborn, I wanted a king size bed but the only room available with the king size was an accessable room. I didn't mind that until we went to get a shower that evening. The shower head was lower to accommodate which wasn't an issue. The issue was the piece that holds the shower head was completely broke and wouldn't hold the shower hose. The only way to take a shower was to basically hose off with the shower head. By this point it was late and I wasn't going to wake my baby up to ask for a new room and moving everything to a new room is too inconvenient in general. When we went to check out, the gentleman checked me out and when I let him know the issue he said "oh, sorry about that." Not only was it inconvenient for my family but it would be extremely inconvenient for someone who truly needed the accessable room. So, as long as you don't get room 110, you might be okay. Otherwise, the room served its purpose.

The good- we stayed 2 nights and checked in after midnight and normal hotels (especially sold out ones) will give your room away but they didn't, bed was huge and extremely comfy. Location was absolutely perfect to the falls and there was a casino right across the street. Hot water was hit within a sec and water pressure wasn't too bad. A/c was amazing. I actually had to turn it off because i was frozen and that NEVER happens. The bad- the staff was not very friendly or forthcoming with the info on the hotel. We literally had to ask where our room was located, when and where breakfast was and when the pool opens. He even seemed annoyed when we said we were there for niagara falls. The whole 2 days we were there not 1 employee smiled. (The only 1 that didn't seem like she was in hell was leaving when we were pulling in and she showed us where to park since the lot was full) We got into the room and at first site it looks oh so perfect but upon further inspection everything was covered in dust. Lampshades, floor around the edges, TV, head board and curtains all covered in dust. There was a larger spiderweb right outside our door the entire time we were there. I found makeup from the last guest in the bathroom. Breakfast was not good. Very small area (which can't really do anything about that now) but we got there about 8-830am (2 hours before they closed) land the only thing available was 1 unopened pack of frozen plain bagels and a dirty waffle maker that had a line. Everything looked dirty. Especially the counters. And there was an employee standing there not saying anything to anyone. When we checked out the clerk acted like it was a foreign concept to give me a final receipt (was the same person that checked us in)

Easily walking distance to Niagara national park and falls . There's very few restaurant options (other than their own) nearby, however you can order to the hotel. Service is no frills so don't expect assistance with your luggage. Rooms were clean and spacious and we had a decent shower that was clean.

This hotel was perfect for a visit to Niagara Falls. The room was spacious and clean, the AC worked, the bed was comfortable, and the free breakfast was good. Very walkable from there to the falls or there is a bike rental across the street from the hotel that was super convenient.

Worse continental breakfast (should say or called cereal breakfast) even cereal is only frostie or round little colour rings of cereal) just having a cereal thats it. Yougurt expiry date is just 3 days left. No protein no egg no meat no tofu or any other even vegetable based protein. Its make more worse like me if you diabetes as this is only option you have it and due to my diabetes even cant eat any thing. Coffee is onlu decafe or regulat no sweetner or coffemate. Basically for breakfast i should say -5 stars its better to spend 20 dollars more and have better beds and soundproof. By staying this hotel i will remember dehli with 3 dollars hotel is better then here in usa.

Nice looking clean comfortable room. Not bad for the price. Staff could be just a bit friendlier. That is what helps you succeed in retail and services.

Rooms were clean upon arrival. Roomy bathroom little on the small side but clean. No microwave or coffee pot. Large refrigerator. Not much for parking hard to get a spot on a daily basis. Staff was quiet and would stop talking as soon as you entered the lobby and watched over you closely. Very uncomfortable to be around. The pool was nice for hotel kids loved it. Close to the falls and other attractions around niagara. Plan ahead for dinner the restaurant wasn't open very late and not much else around the hotel. No vending machines but they did have cans of soda and small bags of chips available if you could get them. Room service didn't come to you you had to find them. Said due to covid they changed all of that. Had to hunt them down to get clean towels and trash bags when you needed them.

If you are on a road trip and you just need a place to crash, this is the place. It’s not very fancy. Very moderate looking hotel in the heart of Niagara close to the falls, downtown and state park. Rooms are ok. Bathrooms are neat but can be better. Sometimes you get a stuffy smell from the corridor carpets but the management does a good job of constantly running a floor fan. The fan noise can be annoying at times. They serve free breakfast. Had an indoor pool. Also had an Italian (I think it’s Italian) restaurant attached to the hotel. The biggest advantage to this hotel is the location. Parking can be tricky sometimes. Overall, if you are looking for a not so fancy but descent place with nominal pricing, this is a good option. Family friendly. Did not see anyone with pet. Good place. No complaints.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Safety concerns. This is genuinely the most filthy, disgusting and unsafe place I’ve ever had the displeasure of setting foot into in my 32 years on this planet. Please let me tell you about my trip. I arrived with my family as part of a Tour group from Sydney, and it was trouble before we even set foot in the door. It’s right next to run down graffiti covered houses a couple of doors down with boarded up windows, the area it’s in is extremely unsafe. Our tour guide warned us not to walk to the streets or leave the hotel after sundown. It’s advertised as a short walk to the falls. It’s not. Nothing was prepared, no room keys, the check in process was exceedingly slow. staff do not speak English well. Sub basement floor, I leaned the door and it opened immediately, no key or handle, thought it a fluke, it wasn’t. The smell nauseating. Fish. I pulled out the chair to take a seat. It was covered in stains soaked into the fabric. I pulled the door shut behind me making sure it was closed before pressing on the door again. It opened. The security lock, broken. Room door has been kicked in and the room robbed before. Front desk, offered a refund then retracted it. People complaining given dirty unmade rooms, another room had a blocked toilet, another no working lights. Front desk insisted that “he just works here” no explanations for broken and unclean rooms. His wife and daughter then returned from grocery shopping. He screamed at her about unclean rooms.multiple complaints had come in about cleanliness, his family live in and operate this hotel. He lied to guests to avoid taking responsibility. All in front of customers. New room, holes in the roof and curtains were stained. Cockroach in bathroom. Tap is broken. Blood and snot is stuck to the shower curtain. A pubic hair. Stuck to the bathroom wall. This bathroom hasn’t been cleaned at all. Discovered the side door to the rooms. Direct access to the hallways where the rooms are. It was still unlocked and open to the public at midnight. Anybody can enter off the street, this entrance unmonitored. Another broken door part on the floor. This place is broken into a lot. Probably by the inhabitants from the surrounding broken down homes. Can feel holes in the floor underneath the carpet. Hallways are riddled with cobwebs and spiders. The tvs are analogue and my aunts didn’t even turn on. My mothers room had blood on the sheets and my aunt had a dirty ice bucket full of someone else’s old water. No plastic bag. Mould growing under the rim of the sink and floors have dirt accumulated in all corners. Thin ceilings mean that you can hear talking and walking above you. Lights stopped working in the middle of the night. Then turned back on after a few hours. Faulty wiring. Bed squeaky and uncomfortable. I hope that this stops you from booking this hotel it’s everything from broken, run down, old, and grimy to unsafe and inhospitable. I hope that this review saves you from having to experience this place yourself. Beware and stay away.

Rooms and amenities are pretty good for the price. Clean hotel. Parking can be an issue during the holiday season.

If I could give negative stars I would. If you plan on sleeping in, forget about it, you hear everthing going on in the entire hotel. They offer a continental breakfast, we got up and in the breakfast area early, no continental breakfast, just cold cereal. No turndown service "because of covid". They could've at least left fresh linens at our doors, I would've been happy to change my own. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way, no room service, not even basic cable. The room our friends/family got smelled like cigarette smoke. The pool was nice, and the location of the hotel was convenient for the purpose of our trip. We had booked the hotel for three days but decided to leave a day early because of the lack of sleep. I would never stay at this place again, avoid at all costs!

We stayed there for 3 days. It is about 2 miles to the falls (or so) so a brisk walk or maybe just drive. Small place but decent people. Non-heated indoor pool, beside a small Italian restaurant which we did not eat at (kids are to picky). They only clean the room before you and after not everyday due to covid.... and if you want the free breakfast BE THERE ON TIME......lol

When I booked, I chose to pay cash for my room. Had to give credit card to hold the room until I got there, but they charged my card instead of letting me pay cash. They need to speak better English so it is easier to communicate. Room was clean. Breakfast was a joke. Website said they were 3 minutes walk away from the falls, that is not true.

WORST PLACE I HAVE STAYED . It was chaos at the time of check-in , felt like kinda understaffed. Stains and hairs all over the room. Room wasn’t cleaned properly. We didn’t inspected the room thoroughly when we checked in and realized it was untidy around 11oclock , when we came back after our trip. When we informed the guy at the reception , he said he don’t care, as he is there to watch the reception only. Then another lady came and she was rude and gave option just to change the room. We felt kinda unsecured and tbh tired. Pathetic customer service I have ever received. Walls are pretty thin , we heard noise even from other end of the hotel. Sketchy people around the neighbourhood, surprisingly side entrance is unlocked all the time and anyone could enter the building without a keycard. Also I realized that Continental breakfast is muffin, cereals and bread. Lol Never gonna book at this hotel again.

Excellent place to stay. The structure is a little dated but it adds to the charm. The casino is a very short walk away. My specific room did not have a tub, just a huge walk in shower. The pool is adorably tiny. Perfect size for 1-6 people. My only complaint is no coffee pot in the rooms.

  • 3/5 Kim H. 10 months ago on Google
Overall a clean and decent place to stay. I can’t really complain, except for the bathroom door that couldn’t open or close properly. The Falls was within walking distance. Don’t expect too much of the breakfast, it was standard. The downside to this place is the paper thin walls, I could hear everything that was happening, and it was hard to get a good night rest.

Don't try and call their front desk, the number listed they have won't go through. It's a complete nightmare trying to contact them unless if you go to the front desk in-person. The reason why the price is so low is because their service is so bad. Highly recommend paying the extra money to stay at another hotel, don't mess up your family vacation just because you thought you found a good deal. This "hotel" is a total trap.

It's definitely a 3 star hotel/motel. The breakfast is bagles, 🍞 bread , oatmeal, cereal, waffles, if your lucky there will be a orange 🍊 left when you get there. Only condiments are jelly , (grape , apple , mix jelly ) and butter. And syrup for the waffles 🧇. In case anyone's wondering. The rooms are better then some similar priced hotels as in furniture and such. The location is great for the price. Do not turn on the heater. The smell is absolutely horrible. A/C is fine. They don't really clean the rooms well. The toliet had a puddle of pee stains on the side and hair in the toilet when I arrived. But it's half the price of most of the hotels in the area and are probably short staffed on maids since they don't allow early check in at all due to rooms needing to be cleaned. ( as I was informed). The walls are thin like the other reviews said , and yes you can hear everything in the hallway and other rooms. All in all it was a good stay. Didn't expect much. It's a place to sleep. It's not like you go to niagara falls to chill in the hotel all day. 2nd cheapest hotel on the usa side of the falls . (The cheapest had too many 1 star reviews to chance staying at) so it's not bad.

Waited at the front desk for 20mins before someone showed up to check us in. They weren't even pleasant once they arrived. Got to our room and found damage, went down to notify someone but no one to be seen, shocking. You get 5 channels on the tv and when we started the shower in reeked. The parking is unbelievable very limited and if you are forced to park in the back (which is basically an alley) it smells and there is garbage everywhere. I don't have very high standards and i try to stay positive but this place made it impossible. Oh one last thing, if you travel heavy good luck lugging your luggage up the stairs, there is no elevator.

  • 1/5 Adriana M. 1 year ago on Google
Please do not stay here. The location and price may be fine but they have bed bugs. They refused to do anything because they said we should have seen it last night and we already stayed in the room. I didn't know there was a correct time to see bed bugs. Worst of all they meaning Sam and June said that we bought it with us. We were with other families on our trip and another found blood on her sheets. Since the house keeper was gone, they just gave her sheets and said do it yourself. When we also complained about this they said it's just old stains. I'm sorry but if you're a hotel stains that don't come off a sheet should be thrown away. Another family found bedbug droppings as well as her sheets were just put inside out and when she went to fix them the other side was dirty. There was also hair stuck to the sheets before they were even used. Again please don't stay here. It's better to pay a bit more than to have a bed bug scare. Sam the manager and June in the front desk were so rude and unhelpful. All they said is " i dont know what to tell you we dont have them"despite us having proof. Do not stay here! Just the hospitality alone is so bad.

This is the best place close to all attractions, less than a mile from the falls. They provide breakfast, and have a heated pool too, we enjoyed our stay without any issues. The front desk was helpful and guided us during our visit to Niagara.

Hellooo!!! Visiting from miami beach for a few days!!! The hotel is well located only ten block from the falls and three block from the casino. It has a small indoor swimming pool and a restaurant that I never saw opened. The room was very decent, it could be cleaner but very good overall. Hotel needs a trash can in the entrance or/and in the lobby. Breakfast was horrible. It went to the hotel next door in the morning!!

  • 4/5 Scott A. 1 year ago on Google
Very convenient location, after arriving we didn't use our vehicle until we returned home. Room and building a little neglected but ok. We don't vacation to stay in our room, just needs to be clean and it was. Some work was being done on the building so maybe it will be better next time but as I said we only slept here maybe 8 hours a day. Staff is thin but helpful if you have a little patience. You can always pay 2 or 3 times more and maybe get better but I am not sure about that.
