Definitely one of the worst places I've stayed. NOT at all worth $561 for a Thurs to Sunday weekend. No housekeeping, didn't get clean towels or toilet paper or garbage removed from the room unless we called front desk. When I asked about the resort fee was told the hotel was independently owned and the owner could charge that if he wanted too. This place is in NO way a resort. $129 for the room and parking was more than enough without adding the resort fee. Then tax tax and tax. That's always nice. Location is awful its far from everywhere which means driving and more parking fees. Very disappointed in the weekend. My room was booked through a cheer event there was no mention of the above resort fee. I was expecting the room to be around $460 and it was a $100 more. I've stayed in many hotels and many right here in Niagara this one was the biggest disappointment ever.

At booking we were unaware of the 20$ + 24.95 parking fee per night and "resort fees" amenities ( Such as pool and gym; which closes at 9pm and the gym equipment did not function properly.) At arrival, rooms were dirty. I honestly did not have big expectations given the price, but the three rooms we booked had dirty sheets with several stains (some look like blood), even the mattress was stained and yellow. Mirrors had marks, wall paper was peeling off off in certain rooms or had stain. The young man at the reception was very helpful; although, he was stressed that most of the guest from our floor had complained about room cleanliness at their arrival. I give a star simply because the staff attending us during our stayed were helpful and courteous. However, I do not recommend that hotel. Definitely deserve less then 1 star

We were having a decent stay, not great, until we had the great displeasure of sitting near the owner of the hotel at the downstairs restaurant. He is definitely not afraid to be vocal about his disgust toward Americans. Not sure what his deal is or why he hates Americans so much, but hopefully everyone will hear your words one day so that you will not make another dime from those you have such harsh feelings of. I would recommend very strongly to spend your money elsewhere. The owner of this establishment does not deserve it. Shame on you, sir.

This is one of the worst hotel I have ever stayed! The pool water is green and cloudy the chairs around the pool are all broken and rotted. Be very careful with this hotel they are very sneaky with the price! They have lots of additional fees! The price you pay at check in expect to pay an additional $50 for each night. If you call to find out about the price they will put you into a very rude supervisor or manger! She should never work in customer service! Consider to stay at another hotel! Definitely would never come back to this Ramada or any Ramada! You need to do better!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Looks cheap on 3rd party apps but beware of all the hidden fees... 20$ per day for parking and 20$ COVID cleaning fee plus a 150$ deposit we had no clue about. And of course it takes 2-3 days to get refunded so if you arrive like us on a Saturday make sure you don't need that money. Rooms are very dated and the front staff couldn't even show us on the website where the 150$ deposit was... Would not recommend

Not worth the money you are spending for. The check in time is 4 and checkout time is 11. If you ask for early checking they straightaway deny. If you go at 4 to check in then you end up standing in a big line for may be an hour or more waiting for your turn so eventually you will waste entire day so you could check in the hotel you paid for. The front desk staff is very arrogant. May be they all are trained that way as no one was polite. Rooms were filthy and seems they never vacuum the carpet. This hotel charge $20 resort fee, $20 parking fee and then taxes. Even if you prepay online they still charge you not sure why. Despite explaining many times, they charged me resort fee and taxes and when I showed them the email confirmation then they pretended to remove it but added them again at the time of checkout. Weird way of working. Location is only good if you are using wego. The stop is just next to the hotel and there is an outlet mall next to this hotel.

I stayed 3 nights for a girls weekend with my daughter. The rooms were not lavish but clean and presentable. The staff were kind and helpful at check in (despite dealing with an incredibly frustrating situation directly before me). I was confused when I arrived because I entered the wrong building and didn’t know where to find the check in desk. I appreciated the on site restaurants for a quick meal. The pool was adequately sized and maintained well. My daughter spent many hours in it. The fridge and microwave were a nice bonus that I had trouble finding in many hotels in the area, and the price was fair (and I was fully informed of all extra fees at booking). Two improvements I would suggest- updating the alarm clocks with usb chargers as there was nowhere easy to the bed to plug in my phone. Also, with a 3 night stay I would have appreciated some housekeeping (especially considering the “resort fees”). I moved my garbage out to the hall and it was collected, but then we had no garbage bags. We ran out of towels and had to travel to the other building to get more. Overall I would definitely stay here again, and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Only chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. Outrageous the fees on top of your room fee. Resort fee for a hotel blocks away from downtown, a closed pool and a closed restaurant. I understand it's covid but don't charge a fee when nothings available. They double charged my credit card and refuse to reverse it. The hotel won't do anything, my bank can't do anything. Ridiculous. Stay away from this scam hotel

Had a wonderful stay over the snow storm last week. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. All the team members are professional and eager to help. The property itself is located within proximities of all the local attractions. The fees levied are basic charges as any hotels in Niagara Falls. I highly recommend this place.

Used booking.com to book this hotel over the dates 11-12 Sep. I found out that check in time is 4 PM. Which I had tried to change to an earlier time. They will charge you $30 if you want to check in earlier. Found that out at front desk. Actual price of the room will be 40% more than what booking.com will tell you. Love those hotel taxes they throw at you. Staff needs to understand that the world is under covid restrictions and allow customers to check in at various time rather than bottle necking there customers to one specific time in the day. 45 min wait to check into my room with people all over the lobby. The addition of an advanced voting station being carried out in the same hotel during this weekend also contributed to more people going through the lobby. And lastly, hotel room access cards wont work if your cell phone gets close to them. This needs to be fixed.

The hotel was great; clean, bright, fresh and seemed fairly up-to-date. The rooms were well furnished and the beds very comfortable. The person at the desk who checked us into the hotel was either having a bad day or I had done something to upset him, because he was very rude to both myself and other members of my party. The rest of the staff were lovely though, even with there being an exorbitant amount of young children running around unsupervised. Just a heads up to anyone who didn't read all the fine print: There is a "resort fee" added on top of the fee already paid for the room. This adds up to $30 additional per room. This fee is not included with the room fee, nor is a parking pass fee. If you are looking online to compare rates, and plan on having a car, there will be an additional $55 per room tacked on.

Everything was good. The only thing that I can say I didn't like was the pet fee. I think unless the pet made a mess, the fee should be returned. Also the fee I think is unreasonable in price...too much. But I loved the location and ease of signing in and out. Staff are nice and easy to talk to. I put 3 stars for service just because of the pet fee.

Was delayed during travel and arrived on check-in day late near midnight, and didn't think to ask for late check-in, but front desk still managed to find me a room, so I'm very grateful for that. Besides that, room was clean and serviceable, satisfyingly comfortable for my few-days stay. Bathroom seemed a bit outdated, but it was easy enough for me to manage. I'm quite happy with my experience!

When booking they hide the Resort Fee of 19.95 per night per room in the fine writing under term: Resort Fee Resort Fee $19.95 Per Night is added to all quoted fee's upon check-out. But they don't add this to the quote when booking, is that fishing? Dishonest business practice. Try to avoid this hotel. The rooms are old and air is stagnant. Used to have better experience with another Ramada 10 years ago, won't have more experience with them anymore.

I was not impressed by this hotel at all! The rooms had a moldy smell to it. The bed sheets didn't look clean either. The carpets, were hardly vacuumed. I walked in my socks and it picked up all kinds pet dander and hair from previous customers. As I am walking down the hall I'm hearing loud noises from other folks who are staying over as well. Tons of hidden hotel fees like, Cleaning Fee, Parking fee, etc. When I was booking the hotel I was led to believe that on premise parking was free for folks who are staying there. Turns out, that was a lie! Thank heavens, my wife & I were only staying there for 1 Night. Safe to say, I will not be coming back here again.

This is the worst hotel i have stayed in in years.. If you are going to accept pets it does not mean you can just not furnish a room or have the 1 couch in the room ripped to shreds and stinking. The room was bare save for 1 desk and the couch. Refuse room 106 at all cost is you must stay here. 1st room inside the entrance door. The bedroom has a steel door to the exterior in it making sure you hear every sound all night. Also the $149 as advertised turned into $270 by the time they added all the charges and taxes. There are MANY better options than this dive.

This is a warning to save yourself and book ANYWHERE else. DISCLAIMER: I don’t normally write reviews, but I feel the need to save others. To begin I had a confirmed reservation for two nights and was told that they don't have a room for me at check- inn. They told me to go to their sister property and said everything will be taken care of upon arrival at their sister property. They had no idea what was going in and denied me any room. This screw-up cost me $380/night and General Manager at the Hotel Mr. Scott J has not responded yet. I had to make changes to my trip due to this. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone and if you do have a reservation, room is not guaranteed.

Sadly this was a poor decision on my part choosing this location. The building foyer on its own looks nice but that is where it stops the inside is dark and dingy for a 3* hotel and looks like It’s falling apart. I’m surprised the one corner I turned down there wasn’t two twins waiting for me… the room had a lovely musty smell, the lamp shades were stained yellow, and there were black marks on the sheets. The cost of this was 155$ after tax however this increased by 20$ for parking (seriously paying for parking) 20$ for resort fee (surprise) and 6$ COVID cleaning fee (clearly not actually done as the room was in a state). Honestly could have spent my 200$ for the Saturday night closer to the falls. I do not mind spending the money I do mind being surprised when I originally paid 155 on hotels.com. Suffice to say I will not be back

Staff were great, room was clean. We had a King/Queen split, so it was like 2 rooms (upgraded when we checked in from 2 Queens in the same room, without even asking.) Got there 9am and they did an early check in at no cost as well. Our room faced the highway, which is very noisy Friday and Sat/Sun not as bad. Kept the fan on the heater running to make white noise to drown it out. $20 resort fee is BS as is parking for $20. Add in local taxes of over $13/night you have to add $53 to the room rate every night (which we got for $79, a deal with a convention).

This hotel is gross. The bathrooms have mold and the tubs are so old the porcelain is nearly all worn off. The key cards kept de magnetizing every time I left the room. You have to reserve a pool time and get a separate key card for the pool. Every time the key didn’t work and we had to go back up and get it reset. Then you have to bring the key card back to the front desk after you leave the pool. Just a total hassle. They did have a full size bar fridge and microwave in the room.

We booked nonsmoking rooms in Building 1 but given rooms in the other join building all hallways was full of cigar smoke and smell Called customer service after 3-4 times try manager came and said this floor is nonsmoking and did bot do anything due to my asthma I couldn't get any sleep and had to wake up at 4am to get a fresh air outside on the checkout we thought they would address our issues but nothing as they said the manager was not on duty I called up 3 times, finally could get a hold of the manger, they would offer to give us a credit for the future trip and he was supposed to call me back which never did and I called 4-5 times and he never answered. Poor customer service and shame on Ramada chain for this kind of service I was a regular and loyal customer who stayed more than 10-15 times in Ramada

Dorito crumbs in the pull out bed's sheets. Cancelled many of my friend's reservations without much warning, told them to go across the street because they were full, and then had ample rooms available when we all checked in. Broke the contract of a 15+ year running convention and forced us into various rooms around the hotel without any communication as to the reason. Parking is also 20 dollars a night in addition to their rooms (and their "special rate" for groups is 4 dollars cheaper than their website). Do what you want, but I'd avoid and will not be returning in the future. There are many hotels around, just pick a different one. But hey, go to Wind sushi for some really great all you can eat sushi, just down the road (although a bit pricey)

  • 1/5 Christine G. 1 year ago on Google
Has cancelled a mass number of rooms and moved them to a different hotel (at a different rate) because they "double booked", even though they are hosting the event we are all attending. I had previously called to confirm about the room, and was told we definitely had a room. Extreme upset about these events because we did everything we should have and double checked, and still got the short end of the deal with 0 compensation.

Poor customer service by front desk and managers. Hidden fees of $20 resort fee even though the pool was closed during our stay and $20 parking fee even though their sign says free parking. Not recommended!

  • 3/5 VINCE F. 1 year ago on Google
Dana at the front desk was awesome and professional. The room had quite a bit of dust on furniture. Lots of hidden fees like parking two bottles of water in the room that were almost $7 to go with the coffee that was provided for free I advise all customers to be cautious of what they're getting themselves into for the book. Other than that I would probably booked again knowing of all the hidden fees

PROS: Staff was attentive. The room was an accessible King. Roomy. AC maintained temp nicely. Bed was comfortable. CONS: Needs cleaning. Room and common areas. No shelves in bathroom which was a pain. The walkin shower had a stool instead of a chair. The extra fees were there. $19.95 per day "Resort Fee". $20 per day parking. Just extra ways to extract money from you. Just an observation. We go up to Niagara Falls every 2 or 3 years. I really noticed how much the area has deteriorated.

My wife and I were there from September 18- 2. The outdoor pool was already closed the weather was perfect and had been for weeks. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The workout room was outdated so I didn't use it. The indoor pools were open but there is no change rooms you either have to get changed in your room or in the bathrooms around the corner. The hallways were clean as well as the room was clean. We got there early the lady at the front desk said that we would have to wait about 30 to 40 minutes which was okay with us. Then she found a room that was ready she was on the ball.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience. The manager Ram was so condescending and unprofessional, when our concerns were brought to his attention. He thought as if he was above the customer’s because he is a hotel manager. The staff member Ina was a nightmare to deal with. One of the staff members slipped their phone numbers into our room card, and told us to text him. Tons of bugs in the room, and overcharges that we’re not agreed upon on arrival. The rooms were filthy, and had a terrible odour. I was extremely uncomfortable sleeping in my own room, that I paid for. The bad reviews are all true. There is not one good thing I could say about this hotel.

My partner and I decided to do a little getaway in Niagara Falls this past weekend, and we booked the Ramada Inn on Lundy's Lane due to the fair price, and the room photos on Expedia looked really nice. When we went to the front desk to get checked in, we witnessed a bit of an argument right in front of us between the clerk and a lady who looked to be the manager. It sounded like she was upset with him for being a few minutes late, and he told her it was because his wife just had a baby. The coldness of her response made for quite an awkward moment for us all. Once he started to serve us we told him congratulations because we felt bad for him. When we got to our room, we noticed little black hairs in both the sink and the bathtub (pics attached). It was very gross, and we tried to clean them ourselves as best as we could before using the washroom. We were going to request a new room, but after witnessing the argument at the front desk and the vibe of chaos down there, and since we already completely unpacked, we just dealt with it on our own. After using the sink, more hairs continued to come up out of the sink again somehow, and this continued until we checked out. Luckily we brought flip-flops that we could wear for taking our showers. The next morning, we noticed that the towels had stains on them (pics attached). I asked the front desk to have them replaced, and I was told they would take down my room number but it would be a while until they came back up with them, due to them having a full-house because of a wedding party going on all weekend. I found the issues regarding this to be quite strange because towels are a very basic and common request at a hotel. My partner and I had to wait a couple of hours before receiving them so we could finally take our showers. The man who brought them up to us was very nice, though. He also personally walked me to the ice machine another time during our stay and was very welcoming. It was really unfortunate that we had such an unclean room, as it left us feeling quite uncomfortable during our stay. We also really did not like how the manager spoke to the front desk clerk, who looked like he was just trying to do his job and make an honest living. We will certainly not return to this hotel.

I had a wonderful experience here. The night auditor Fred was super accommodating and friendly upon checkin. In the morning the front office manager Scott was also very accommodating as well as very pleasant. He was able to accommodate me and my wife further after we experienced minor room issues which was very much appreciated. Overall the staff here is wonderful and I would definitely stay again.

I have stayed at this property 5-6 times over the past several years. Always had enjoyable stays. If they are really busy, parking can be a bit crowded. Staff has always been very pleasant and helpful. Food service has mostly been very good, this last time a couple items were a bit overcooked. Wonder if it's Covid staffing related? Location is convenient to many things near Niagara area. Good neighborhood for walking pets if you're traveling with one. Highly recommend!

Disgusting smell of cannabis inside the hotel, the smell was very strong . Couldn’t even breathe. Don’t bring children, it’s horrible. I’m never coming back and please stay away if you come with your family. It may be cheap but it’s not worth it, we ended up getting another room in another hotel. For the hotel, I know it’s cheap but that doesn’t mean it was free… we still payed for a good service. Very very disappointed.

They have two small "family" pools which are open from 9 am to 9 pm, though the information sheet at reception still says 8 am to 10 pm. There is no inclusive meal, though there is a buy one breakfast entree, get one half-price coupon in the welcome package. This and a couple of other coupons are all worded for travelling couples. Not great for a person travelling by themselves. The room I had has a beautiful view of the rising sun, which I appreciate. The same said view is also of the QEW. Parking is an extra $20. Per night. And I will not go into the daily resort fee, as it is in the small print at the end of the Expedia advert, online.

Scott is whom we met and he has horrible customer service. He does not know how to explain things and when asked any questions rudely gets back with 'you guys always negotiate'. What does 'you guys' mean??? I would like to bring it to Wyndham's group about their cheap customer service and advise to provide tutions to their staff about politeness. I did not stay so no rating for hotel as such but no wish to stay after such poor experience. Thanks for reading.

Well, our story with this "resort" started out well with a call to see if they had pet-friendly rooms available. They did and so, we headed there after a long 2-day trip from Florida. We checked in, signed the registration form, understanding there would be multiple additional charges such as resort fees, pet fee, parking fee, in addition to the room fee, etc. So now, imagine this... would you say it was an enjoyable stay when, out of the blue, the large cover of the heating and cooling wall-mounted unit fell off, for no apparent reason just as we were about to go to sleep. Would you say that we felt safe when the Maintenance guy came, clearly experiencing a respiratory illness and wearing his thin cloth mask under his nose while sniffling repeatedly. Now, the large cover was held up with duct tape. Would you consider it a great thing that there was not a single facecloth in the room. I could go on. I spoke with the front desk in the morning about this and was told they would let me know if a discount would be granted as a result of these issues. Many hours later, we called the hotel and ended up speaking with the "resort" General Manager. After explaining the issues, the General Manager demanded to know my credentials in believing that the worker had a respiratory illness. While I am not a physician, I recently retired working as a Certified Infection Control Specialist and so, yes, I felt I recognized the signs of a respiratory illness and possibly Covid-19. He became belligerent and did not feel that us being exposed to a sick staff was of any concern. I became irrate and, with his lack of appropriate customer service skills, told me to deal with it through the courts and promptly hung up on me. The lack of understanding of the risks associated with Covid-19 by this person shows how transmission has and will continue to occur. So, if you want to enjoy and feel safe while on an overnight stay in Niagara Falls, ON, DO NOT STAY AT THE RAMADA PLAZA.

Very disappointed with the service and hotel stay. Room’s roof was leaking. When we informed the front desk they had not provided any solution and told us to cancel the booking and book another hotel. Haven’t ever seen such a pathetic customer service. We had checked out @12 am and booked another hotel as staff didn’t want to help or offer anything. Also Elevators were not working and same was not informed while booking for the room. They are charging $20 for their so called “Resort”. However they really need to work on their hotel roofs. Do not recommend this hotel at all.

Worst place I have been to, I booked through snap-travel, it shows on the google that they have free parking and other amenities but they charged me with all the taxes resort fee, sanitation fee etc, that wasn’t mentioned on the site when I booked the hotel. They don’t even deserve one star. Worst manager that I have talked to, she don’t know what to do.

  • 4/5 Jasmine V. 2 years ago on Google
Everything that you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. No complaints. Only reason it is not 5 stars is because the charge for the room was not clear.

  • 1/5 Hemant L. 2 years ago on Google
###PLEASE BEAWARE####. I got fooled after coming here. The amount including (taxes and fees) what we see online on Ramada website and after arriving at the hotel the amount what they tell is way different. They added so many other extra charges which were not mentioned on their website and i end up into paying more. i asked for explanation and breakdown of the charges they don't even explain you properly with proper answers. They just know how to fool people.

  • 1/5 Neetu V. 2 years ago on Google
Worst experience ever in this Hotel. They charge fee that not mention on the website and Not even front desk told us. General manager is very rude, don’t know how to speak. For the parking fee its fine but we don’t understand why there is other resort fee and sanitation fee. 0 star for this hotel. Please don’t visit in this Hotel. Please check the photos below.
