stayed here while visiting Niagara falls and the area. hotel is located a short distance outside of Niagara Falls Canada. service at the front desk was not good. The receptionist was curt with her answers and not friendly. charge of $20 a day for parking was extreme, when the parking is an unattended open lot behind the hotel. This added to the feeling that the hotel was charging fees for anything they could, simply to show a lower room rate online. Resort fee, parking fee, extra person fee (room for 4 with 4 people staying)...I'm sure there was a "because we want to" fee in there somewhere as well. on the plus side, rooms were nicely sized, beds were comfortable and had a fridge and microwave, breakfast was decent. The halls looked a little dingy and just don't look under the beds. just remembered - friends staying in the room next to us had no microwave. reception first said "there's a microwave in the lobby", then claimed the fire Marshall had them removed the microwave from that room due to wiring problems. Receptionist didn't seem to understand why this would be alarming. again - not friendly or accommodating. would not recommend and would not stay here again.

Terrible experience. Stuff it’s not gentil. We loose a lot of time with check in (1.5 hours). The receptionist doesn’t know anything. We have got problem with card and propose to pay cash. But the manager said no. The hotel is old need renovation. It’s far from Niagara. The breakfast is poor

We were very pleased with this hotel! While the carpets are dated and it’s a long walk to breakfast, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a good size tub. The included breakfast was fantastic - waffles, eggs & sausage, yoghurt, cereal, heirloom grape tomatoes, fruit, the usual breads, juice, coffee, tea … a wonderful variety and delicious to boot. A very good choice for a very good stay at a budget price!! Add in the fact that the Niagara River rapids are right there outside your doors and it’s fantastic!

Great place to stay on the outskirts of the downtown core where hotels can be more pricey. Front desk check-in was superb .. very friendly and professional. The breakfast ladies were great too in what they prepared. Highly suggest you check out the breakfast mini buffet. Overall - very clean, well maintained and great service.

If you go in expecting to get good value for the price you’re paying, then you’ll be happy with this hotel. If you go in expecting a brand new, modern, luxury hotel, you’ll be disappointed. This is an economical choice that checks all the boxes we look for: friendly service, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The dining area is clean, bright And spacious. There were plenty of choices offered - standard breakfast fare, cereals, fruit, eggs, waffles toast etc… I would return without hesitation. I’m reading lots of reviews about the parking fee. This is standard practice in the falls. Every hotel charges for parking.

Have only trusted Hilton, Sheraton, Marriott Holiday Inn brand name Hotels. With Cadillac Motel and now River Rapids being the exceptional exception. General Manager Fabin was totally awesome and so Sweet. We were welcomed like a family member. Queen beds were plush soft with 3 great pillows. Bathroom was just remodeled as was the entire luxury suite. Largest warm indoor pool in Niagara Falls for serene quiet scream free lane swimming.

Wow! Our stay was absolutely amazing! Easy, right from reservation to checkout. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, excellent water pressure. Donna made sure my in-laws were comfortable for their 61st anniversary. There was a bottle of wine in their room, fabulous view, provided some great coupons, and made sure we knew the back stairs were better for my elderly in-laws. The pool was a great temperature, the staff were super, the location fabulous! To top it off, the price was amazing! Highly recommended and will be coming back! Thank you for a great weekend.

We liked our accommodations at the River Rapid Inn. The room was small but very clean and well decorated. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We also used the pool and sauna, which was nice after a long day. We also enjoyed our free continental breakfast. Thanks for making our stay a good one.

We stayed one night here and worth for the money. The front desk service is amazing and the two staff are polite and friendly. Room has all the necessary items such as fridge, microwave oven, flat tv, iron box, coffee maker, small table and enough pillows. The air-condition is working fine. Enough brightness for sleeping. Washroom is small but enough. We had some issues with the shower and reported to front desk. Only issue that I found is, the location is bit far from the Fall and need a car to drive to falls.

We had a wonderful stay. Greg at the front desk was friendly and went above and beyond for us. There was a fridge stocked with breakfast foods and a welcome bag with bottles of water, granola bars, chips and popcorn! We were not expecting this at all, and were pleasantly surprised! Breakfast was included and the chef was very friendly! When we arrived in the morning, she brought out fresh waffles and helped us as needed! The room (and hotel overall) was very clean! Thank you for everything! We will be back!

This lovely gem of a hotel is excellent because not only is it the most hospitable, clean and wonderfully staffed accommodation ; it happens to be perfectly located and stays true to its description. The staff go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable…. and did I mention…amazing hospitality? Oh yes…breakfast and parking are 100% top tier as well. So much appreciation for this one. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Niagara!!!

This was our third visit to Canada and River Rapid has been our go to hotel since our very first time, they have clean rooms with great staff, excellent breakfast and free parking; all that in a very reasonable rate. Unfortunately this time around we experienced very rude people at the front desk. The staff member at the front desk wasn’t friendly at all during check in which we didn’t pay much attention to until later. We were having difficulty operating the room AC and tried asking for help through phone. He was very curt and didn’t seem to want to help. We are not high maintenance, and spent the night in a hot room. Next morning my husband had a work call and asked the front desk we could check out at 12:30 instead of 11:30, the lady on the phone was exceptionally rude and told us that she needs the room for next guest arrival and wants it empty by 11:30. Which is of course totally understandable but the tone and curt attitude wasn’t really necessary. Last, during check out my husband asked the staff member at the desk if he could attend the work call in their lounge and his response was “he has to vacuum the room and can’t accommodate his request “ I mean. Okay. 1. The attitude is unnecessary. The front desk staff is in dire need of peoples skills. 2. What would he have done if someone who hadn’t checked out wanted to wait half an hour in the lounge? Since the call was immediately, me and my kids are waiting in the car as I write this review and my husband is standing outside attending it. 5 stars to the breakfast lady, she is exceptional.

I needed a space to get away from the city, somewhere quite, yet nice and decent. I read reviews before booking and it was as it said. The staff there are amazing. they were very friendly, helpful and responded very quickly to all the orders. I needed somewhere quiet and calm and this place gives you that. The breakfast was decent and the swimming pool was not the best but does the job. The only downside was that sauna wasn't working during our stay but other than that I would have give it 5 star. I can say that this place is good if you want to go as family, couple, solo or with friends.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it left me with a good impression. The place was clean, the service was friendly, there was a pleasant scent throughout, and the breakfast was satisfying. It’s a solid choice for a comfortable stay.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, location also was good except view; when you make a reservation, it shows a river view, but unfortunately, you do not see a river. They charged extra for each night of parking. I cannot tell the hotel is a four-star hotel; it is a poor and old place for its price. There was no kettle or a coffee maker in the room; If you are a tea or coffee lover, I suggest you bring your stuff with you. The big problem was there was no elevator; we went up to the 4th floor with our luggage. Unfortunately, it was a hotel that I would not go to again.

No idea how this place has 4 stars. Day staff were not friendly, and actually kind of rude. There is no staff from 1130 to 8am. If you like to wake up at random times during the night, this is the place. You can hear every time time someone showers or uses the washroom. Your key card is guaranteed to stop working each day. Even the spare key that wasn't even taken out of the envelope. Breakfast doesn't start until 8am, so if you have an early day place ahead. Parking is $15 a night. They do no take cash. Which is legal tender in Canada, so not sure how that is even allowed. CC for incidentals I understand. If you need a place to just sleep, this place will do. If you need a place with convince and service, pay the a little more and go elsewhere.

I had a very pleasant experience staying at the hotel. The room I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities provided to make my stay comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. I’ll definitely come back again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming hotel. The newly renovated free breakfast area was an absolute delight, it felt spacious and welcoming. The food was delicious with plenty of options (fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and bacon) to accommodate everyone. The rooms were impressive with comfortable beds, and soft fresh linens. This hotel truly is a hidden gem and the renovations made it shine even more than before. Don't hesitate to book your stay, you won't regret it!

Staying a total of four nights. Rooms were not cleaned after our first night. Trash cans not emptied. No clean towels. No ice from the first night on. No place for our group of 30 to sit and have a conversation/play cards/games. We had to take pool chairs and tables out on the parking lot to talk. We were told we

Rooms are clean and tidy! Staff are super nice and friendly. I’ll definitely come back again in the near future.

Great family hotel, older but also more affordable. Great staff, clean room and comfortable beds. I give 4 stars due to the snug size of the bathroom but everything worked perfectly. Excellent breakfast options, very quiet.

We got a decent rate on Expedia. Likes: indoor pool, fairly clean environment, decent breakfast offered, friendly staff, good water pressure. Dislikes: very firm beds, they ding you for $20 a night for parking, per vehicle (there was no mention of this until we checked in, leaving you no choice otherwise). Would probably still stay here again, if the price was right.

This hotel and staff are so professional and ethical. The staff was kind and friendly. I enjoyed Canada I’m from Brooklyn New York and I never been to Canada before. I was so mesmerized with the view from the room. I did not want to leave. Everyone was helpful and made my stay like I was family. The breakfast was so outstanding and the ladies that keep the breakfast going was so kind and nice. They did such an amazing job with the food and the eating area was very clean. They was attentive and checked on everyone to see if they had everything they need I felt at home. I just love, love, love this whole hotel. I highly recommend staying here if you ever visit Canada. If I could give them million star review I would. Hotel staff was so courteous I book me another vacation here in June. I got so adjusted here I’m coming back. Thanks guys I really miss it. I will always and never forget this pleasant experience.

Our first time staying here, great place that’s quiet and not far from the falls. One of the only places that’s pet friendly! The rooms were clean. The bed and pillows were perfect. The breakfast was simple. The front desk called us when we just checked in to see if we needed anything and were there in a few minutes with what we asked for. They don’t mention it on their website however they have fridge and microwave.

Absolutely satisfied with our stay at River rapids inn. Room was spacious and clean with all the basic toiletries. It was nice staying here location wise as it is out of the way of the busy tourist hot spots yet close at the same time. For the low cost to stay here with free parking, free breakfast and access to a pool it was an amazing deal. The staff were excellent and checked in with us half way through our stay to ensure we had everything we needed for our room accommodations. Once again thank you, and we 1000% recommend booking with river rapids inn.

This hotel was wonderful! We stayed here with 3 other families and we had a great time! Rooms were very clean and well stocked. We had a microwave and fridge and flat screen TV. They were really good at putting our rooms beside each other. We slept great at night, no noise at all, walls are pretty thick so you can't hear the other guests. Breakfast is great, food is fresh and staff is pretty good. Indoor pool is pretty warm and very clean! Only downside is the shower water outside of the pool, it's too cold to wash yourself down before and after entering the pool. Worth mentioning, the pool room also has a sauna! Will be staying here again for sure! Thank you!

Older property that you could easily pass by, but it is a total treasure! Staff is great, the rooms are clean and modern! Fourth floor room facing the Niagara river gorge, is absolutely awesome! Avoid negative reviews from people complaining about a bug in the room, or something else that is petty! It is a little gem! We loved it!

Excellent place to stay! Free parking, wifi and hot breakfast with variety. Rooms are very spacious! My husband, twins and I were very impressed with it all. Our room over looked the river and were surprised by how quiet the roadway was. Pool was nice and warm, sauna was a great way to wind down a busy day. Not far at all from Clifton Hill and oh so much quieter than the middle of the hustle and bustle! All staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful! Wonderful experience.

Very nice place, clean rooms, and the breakfast that was included was excellent. The older lady they had during the week was super nice and made awesome breakfast. The only time that breakfast was horrible was on that Friday when the young lady was there and there was no breakfast, coffee was horrible and she didn't pay attention to give service. Had to go out a buy breakfast. The next day the older lady was back and again awesome breakfast, lots of things to pick from. I recommend this place, it's quiet. If the day you stay the young lady is breakfast area than your better going out and buying breakfast somewhere.

Polite staff, clean rooms and an excellent free breakfast. The Wi-Fi works well. Very much improved from years ago when I stayed at this location. If I recall correctly the name was different.

My only issue was the slow streaming internet. Not enough of an issue to lose a star for, though. Could use some more tv channels. Very clean. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. Indoor pool. Great price. Everyone extra friendly.

The place is very nice and clean. Staff are friendly. Pool is very clean and warm. It's free parking and breakfast included. Just watch out for elevator if you can't take the stairs. It is only 10 stairs though. Highly recommend. We'll be back next summer
