The home was lovely and in a prime location for Niagra Falls. Our hostess Kim was not quite so hospitable though. She wanted us to turn off our little window unit in our room during the day in 90Β° weather. It took so long for the room to cool back down after bring gone all day that we did not have a comfortable night sleep. The next day we left the air conditioner on & returned mid day to find it shut off again! So, this means she was entering our room while we were gone and without telling us. At breakfast, we were only offered coffee, no water or juice. When we asked for juice, we got the feeling we were imposing (both mornings we were there) Another couple asked for juice and felt the same. As we were eating breakfast there were 2 other couples also having breakfast and we were all chatting. Kim kept coming in the dining room to check to see if our plates were empty so she could remove the dishes but, never asked if we needed anything. She just seemed more interested in clearing the table. After finishing our meals we were still sipping our coffee & talking to the other guest, Kim turned the lights off on us! I guess that was her way of telling us to leave!!! We all were quite shocked! My husband and I have stayed at over 50 B&B's and have never experienced anything like this! Usually the hosts will serve water & offer a variety of juice and will even join in friendly conversation and give information on the property where you are staying. It was a very cold & unwelcoming feeling staying here. There was no water in the little refrigerator outside our door that we were allowed to use but, we were told we could use it. We were really disappointed in the entire stay! This would be our first time ever giving a bad review on any of the bed & breakfast that we have ever visited. πŸ˜”

if I could put 10 stars I would put it, a very beautiful and clean hotel, delicious breakfasts, and no problems, an old building with beautiful antiques, nice parking, close to Niagara Falls. You can take a lot of beautiful photos, good temperature in the rooms, I liked it very much I recommend this place

What a great stay! The owner took great care of us, was very respectful and kind, and even helped buy roses to be in our room upon arrival to surprise my girlfriend. The house is easily within walking distance of the falls, casino, and restaurants. Our stay was very comfortable and the owner was very accommodating. We highly recommend!

What a gem! This place is so lovely, very well cared for and beautifully furnished. My room was quite large and easy to move around in, with a HUGE bathroom. Everything was sparklingly clean and all the antique/original fixtures and furniture were in excellent condition. Bed was very comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about my hostess, Kim - she was genial and gracious my entire stay, very accommodating when we had a mix up (on my part) with my reservation at the very last minute. And breakfast was delicious, loved my veggie omelette! The free parking was a BIG perk, and I was able to easily walk to the casino, restaurants, and Goat Island from the house. All this for quite a reasonable price - I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends and returning if I’m ever back in Niagara Falls. TIP: I tried to book through one of the 3rd party websites and it said they were out of rooms, but I called and they had one room left plus gave me a little cheaper rate, so call ahead first.

Excellent location, short walk to the falls. Room and bath very nice. Bed very comfy. Very quiet, even with all rooms full. Breakfast was a choice of homemade meals. Kim was a very attentive hostess with maps and much local information.

Loved it! The art and decor was beautiful, along with furniture and paintings. The room was cozy and the bathroom was very nice. It was clean and comforting. Kim was the best, she was funny and she knows how to keep you feeling comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious. The falls are right down the road, highly recommend.

The location was perfect. We were able to walk to and from Niagara Falls with relative ease. The room was nicely furnished and comfortable, and the breakfast was carefully prepared and tasty. Although the inn was open to children, we were given the general impression that children needed to be on their best behavior to not disturb other guests and not to break the many antique items in the house. The current owners of the inn had just recently taken over previous management of many years, so my guess is that the open to kids policy might change in the future.

Loved staying here! This place was decorated so nice and cozily, and the staff was just the same. The manager was so welcoming and very helpful, she gave great tips for our trip to make visiting Niagara Falls a great experience. Breakfast was great as well. I would definitely recommend this place to any couple looking for a relaxing weekend at the Falls. :)

Excellent B&B experience from check-in to check-out! Well maintained, clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast cooked to order by a very friendly, helpful host (Richard). As already mentioned, it's very close to Niagara Falls NY State Park (about .6 miles). Saves on parking fees and if traffic is very heavy, you'll probably get there faster on foot anyway. The neighborhood is a little rundown but we felt safe walking around the area day or night. There was a free Blues Festival going on downtown (over Labor Day Holiday weekend). It was just a great stay; one we won't soon forget. We highly recommend Hanover House and hope to return some day.

This is the first bed and breakfast I have tried. I definitely thought is was a more personal experience than you receive at a hotel. The host Kim asks you what you would like for breakfast and you set up a time to meet in the dinning room in the morning. The breakfasts are staggered so that you usually do not eat at the same time as the other guests. She sets out a fruit bowel with your meal. The omelet and potatoes were good and she even gave me the recipe when I asked which I thought was very nice. The bed and breakfast is quaint. It is like stepping into a time machine. I like that because it was something new to try. Most importantly though, it is walking distance to Niagara falls, which made it very convenient.

It was clean and pretty but the woman seemed very stressed and breakfast was awful. It is walking distance from many attractions.

A little piece of heaven. The tenant was adorable, she welcomed me warmly and kindly. My room was lovely, all purple and felt so comfortable and clean. The breakfast was really good, whether it be the omelet and potatoes or the fruit salad. I felt safe going there as a 22 year-old girl.
