Booked her place based on Airbnb reviews. Her Airbnb page lists out the check-in time as between 4-9pm which I confirmed at 11am today that I will be there between 4-5pm. I waited in her parking lot from 3.47pm until 4 to check in. Her listing says you need to do the house tour first before even getting in your luggage, unfortunately I had to use the restroom and begged the person that please let me do so. I took a shower and headed to my room to see 2 missed calls and 1 voicemail threatening me that since I parked on her property technically I checked in before 4pm and since I used the restroom first and did not do the house tour(I assured her I just came out of the shower and as soon as I am dressed thats the first thing Iโ€™ll do)- she came banging on the door and kept shouting get out. Her words- Take your shoes and get out of my house right now. I requested her to atleast let me change my clothes and her response was I dont care get out as you are right now. If accommodation is expensive, trust me Buffalo is not far from here and any place but this house is better. Airbnb is already investigating her current and all previous complaints. I did get my refund but as a female POC I want to make sure no other person has to go through this. Before you can gather your thoughts and contact Airbnb she will cancel your reservation, this way you can never leave a review on her UNSTABLE behavior. I understand hosts have their rules but emphasizing on doing a house tour over using the restroom( had been traveling for 2 days until I reached this place to get some rest). Her house tour- some ancient artifacts that she wants you to unfold using QR codes. Update: The response below is proof of the hostโ€™s delusions! Airbnb investigated her for all the complaints till date, refunded and paid for my entire trip( kudos to them). Her entire property was empty, she claimed she took help of her neighbor who now she is referring to as staff, as seen below she claims I was in the shower but also says I wasnโ€™t responding to her calls when I was in and out of the crazy place within exactly 49 minutes - hope she seeks medical help! get well soon!

Me and my girlfriend had a very pleasant stay here. My girlfriend had an unforeseen accident a week prior and was in a wheelchair but the owner did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only thing that was dissatisfying was the price of breakfast, which for the price you did receive a lot of food but was not necessary for us as we did not eat a big breakfast. It is a very interesting home and was definitely worth the price.

This is everything i was looking forward for. The house is perfectly preserved with all the vintage items from the war zone. If you are really interested in history and love visiting old places THIS IS IT. The hosts are wonderful and will guide you throughout. It has a QR code for the tour. We had a campaign room. They have hidden bathrooms also!!

I had a great couple of days here- lots of history and interesting decorations appropriate to the house's historical theme (1860s). The QR code video house tour when I first arrived was very fun. Katherine is really kind and generous with her time, great to chat with. Thanks for a nice time!

MUST VISIT!! Stayed here one night with a friend. Such an interesting (in a good way) house to stay in. Katherine has a real eye for detail and the renovations are looking really good. The building has so much character and history to it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if visiting Niagara.

Delightful and Charming host. Historic 1860s house restored to period. Quirky with bathrooms concealed behind secret hidden bookcases. Easy walk to falls and all locations.

My wife and I stayed here on our trip to Niagara Falls, and we are so glad that we made that choice! This BNB is actually a restored civil war era house. A lot of the original wallpaper is there, the decorations give the look and feel of the 1860s, and they even have some old newspapers and periodicals from the era. The bathrooms are actually hidden behind bookcases - perhaps a safe room for runaway slaves on the underground railroad? When you arrive, you take a QR-guided tour through all of the rooms, before settling into your room. The owner of the house is in the videos, dressed in her best civil war era gown - you can tell she put a lot of thought and soul, and effort into presenting guests with a magical first impression. The room was clean, cozy, and charming. When we booked, we immediately received an email with very thorough recommendations for making the most of our trip to Niagara. Bottom line: don't stay at a generic hotel - stay at the Aaron House!!!!

Pleasantly surprised! The ambience was spectacular! You wouldn't think so from its curb appeal and the neighborhood but it really is a diamond in the rough. It's proximity to the falls makes for a great location. The host, Catherine (hope I spelled correct) was very pleasant and helpful. Sebastian was very pleasant and very helpful too. The bed was comfortable. The air was nice and cool in the home. The bathroom was very clean and well kept up on. Towels were provided, etc. Parking was available and convenient. We didn't take advantage of the menu offered but it looked and smelled very good. The price was reasonable too especially considering what you will pay for food near the Falls and the quality of that food. I read several reviews of other hotels/motels in the region close to this price range and those places were 3-4 miles away and had too many deal breakers. Plus, you would get charged for parking if you have to drive from your hotel to the Falls for the day. This home is just blocks away from the central area and about a 7-10 minute walk. The house itself is as described by others and is like a little museum in its own right. It's quite a fascinating home. You just have to see for yourself. It certainly was a good bargain and no complaints at all.

Civil war era house with hidden passages. If you love history, this is unlike any other stay. You have to do a 10 minute tour when you check in, but itโ€™s pretty interesting. Easy walk to Niagara state park.

This is the best place to stay in Niagara! We had a brilliant stay. A historic building with fascinating stories. Katherine responded quickly and was very accommodating for an early check. Great local tourism advice and a complimentary glass of wine at check-in was a brilliant start. Itโ€™s really convenient for all the attractions and a whole street of local restaurants! The breakfast is to die for! The best spread on our 2 month trip โ˜บ๏ธ 100% worth booking in the night before Enjoyed the season decor too ๐Ÿ

We stayed for one night and enjoyed our time there. It is in a perfect location to walk to the sights and restaurants of Niagara Falls. We were on a birthday trip for my wife, and it was a good stay for her as well as her first trip to Niagara Falls. The home is very historic and we enjoyed the walk-thru history of the beautiful home. Katherine was a very nice hostess and very friendly. The attic room was great. We did not eat there, but we could smell the breakfast and it smelled terrific! We would stay there again if the need arises. Thank you for a great escape Aaron House! Dwayne and Melissa
