The pictures look beautiful, the experience not so much!! Their business practises are questionable, they charged me for the room before I got there. Price was 243.00 but I paid 308 fees are crazy. On top of that they did not hold the 250 deposit they processed it. So on my credit card there were two pending charges and a hold!! If a traveller is on a serious budget they just cancelled other planned activities. The room is not worth 600 dollars!! It took almost a week to get everything off my credit card. The pool was very cold it’s an indoor pool but no temperature control. No where do they write pets will cost you 45 dollars , parking is 25.00 plus HST. Also not mentioned. No fridge, no microwave, and they don’t do housekeeping if your stay is longer. So at the end would I recommend this place , hmmmm ?? Not likely, will I speak about my experience, yes!!

Buyer beware! Let me start by saying management made efforts to rectify the issues we had. Upon arrival we were met with hidden parking and tax fees, annoying, but not the end of the world. Walking to our courtyard room we noticed the hallway appeared to not have been vacuumed in quite some time. There was dirt and actual trash on the floor. The exterior of the building had some missing panels and some rotted wood. When we got to our first room, we walked in the door and immediately stepped in dog poop. The chair in the room was also covered in crumbs and hair. We called management immediately and they sent down new keys to a room down the hall. Walking into that room was not any better. The room smelt of mildew and there was fruit flies everywhere (one dead on the lamp shade and one on the pillow). There was plastic forks and red solo cups under the chairs. Clearly these rooms were not cleaned. At that point we took all of our luggage back to the car and went to the front desk. Management deeply apologized and assured us the room would be cleaned from top to bottom. With no other rooms available we gave them the opportunity to make it right and we would come back in a few hours. When we got back, there was sparkling wine, and strawberries on the bed. The room felt clean and we could smell that cleaning products were used but not enough to hide the mildew smell. All of our clothes and bedsheets felt damp from all the moisture in the room. The ceiling appeared to have water damage at one point that was patched. We were here for our anniversary and had already spent so much time and frustration dealing with these rooms that we decided to stay and not let it affect any more of our trip. Also, our keys were awful. We had to get them fixed and both times only 1 of the 2 would work and only after about 6 times of trying it. Needless to say we were very happy when it was time to check out. Management did waive the hidden parking and tax fees for all of the inconveniences which was nice. The lobby was cute and the restaurant looked nice. Management was polite and apologetic. This is not the “Boutique” hotel we were promised. We will definitely stay elsewhere next time.

Good place in terms of walkability since it's by a lot but is quiet enough that you aren't bothered. Some larger tour groups came through during our stay but that wasn't an issue. A few issues with the room and definitely more than a few hidden fees. There was a facility fee of 15.00 per day, as well as, 27.00 daily parking fee which wasn't disclosed during check-in. I'd recommend just dropping off your stuff and parking in the lot just across the street which was 10.00 per day. I value price transparency a lot and was disappointed by this, as well as, a few issues with the room. Not a bad place to stay but since you have so many options in the areas it's good to keep in mind anything that might impact your decision.

Extra fees $27 parking not disclosed at booking. No free breakfast- said was included at booking. Within longish walking distance to sights. $15 per night for “pool” which is very cold. No one used it. Not a very good stay with all hidden fees tacked on. Couple of nice ladies at check in. Will stay elsewhere next time! Research other hotels first!! Manager didn’t care when we reported issues- not a secure hotel at all.

We had a wonderful stay, as did our wedding guests! The whole venue has an incredibly intimate and elegant vibe. It’s beautifully decorated around Christmas giving it an extra special charm! We had our wedding ceremony in the small Mill st room, our cocktail reception in the beautiful 1904 lounge, and our reception in the incredible Flour mill restaurant. The staff were incredible, and the service was above and beyond our expectations. Many of our guests including ourselves stayed in the hotel. There were no fridges as someone mentioned in their review, but if you asked they made sure one was in your room before you arrived. The rooms have so much character and are such a nice change from the standard hotel rooms you’d see everywhere else. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bathrobes were so cozy - which is always a nice touch! The restaurant serves some of the best food I have ever eaten, and they have beautiful outdoor dining igloos as well. You really can’t judge a book by its cover, from the outside you would never know how incredibly beautiful this venue is on the inside. We will be back, and we would recommend it to anyone!

We had an upgraded room so we had a mini fridge, but no microwave seems like an oversight. Bed was very comfy temp in the room stayed about 24 c no matter what we changed it to so definitely request a fan when booking. Jetted tub was solid. Brought the pup and she definitely enjoyed it

Made the reservation. The website says pet friendly. I have a service animal who is a cat. They refused to accommodate us. Dog friendly? Yes. Cat friendly? Absolutely not! We had to scramble to find a last minute hotel that would take my service animal. (And yes I have his ID and number so they could've looked him up) terrible experience. Will not be going back.

I have read a bunch of negative reviews on this hotel and I understand why, parking costs, resort fees, a bit pricey…but I am giving it a five star because I think they have done a fabulous job upgrading this funky old hotel into something really unique. Booked online months ago as it was dog friendly, I looked at pictures of the lobby and rooms and it looked quite fancy. When I pulled up to the hotel, it was in an area of deserted and abandoned hotels. The hotel had tour buses, old cars, the electric car charging station had yellow crime scene tape surrounding it, granted it was because it was out of order. But the place looked bleak from it’s exterior and I was close to high tailing it out of there and heading back to the Prince of Wales Hotel that we just checked out of at NOTL. But I gave it a chance and walked into the lobby and was pleasantly surprised by how lovely everything looked inside and how professional the staff was at the reception desk. We had a dog friendly room, which unfortunately overlooked the parking lot but luckily we had trees obstructing our view. If you can request a room overlooking the atrium, it may be quieter, but again, traveling with dogs, you are limited. The restaurant which was part of the hotel was FANTASTIC! Fabulous food, wonderful decor and our server for breakfast, Michelle, was amazing. I would adopt her into my big fat French family if she would have let me. The hotel tried very hard to make our stay wonderful. They offered NEST toiletries, robes and slippers and quaint room amenities. The bathroom was newly renovated with two sinks and the bed was comfortable.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. We came to spend 2 nights paid parking $27/day. The hotel does not provide enough security & failed to mention absence of outdoor cameras. Our vehicle was robbed during the evening. If we would have known that outdoor cameras were not installed, we would have opted for a secure private parking lot. There’s also a facility fee that is added to your payment when you check out that is not included in the price you pay online.

Start off with, location was excellent (5 star). However, we reserved a room with king size bed, got a queen. The rate we booked and pre-paid for was not the rate we were charged. Had an extra bill to pay in the end of the stay. They have a mandatory $15 + tax facility fee on every room. I thought this was very underhanded. Why not just make the room $15 more expensive and be up front with the price of the room. Parking was extra too but to be expected. Dog friendly - don't be surprised by a constant barking. Paid more received less.

Celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here! There was a nice welcome note in our room when we arrived to help us celebrate. Everyone at the front desk we spoke to was super nice. We brought our standard poodle with us, and we felt the accommodations for pets were great. The room was clean, bed was comfy, it's a little dated but very well maintained. Only about a 10 minute walk to the falls.

This hotel charged deposit $200. That's understandable and they said they will return me when I check out. They charged $30 for parking. But parking fee is $25. So they charged me $230 in total. When I check out, they DID NOT RETURN $200 DEPOSIT!!! They said "we will return parking fee $25 and dog fee $45 . I thought that is their service for customers. BUT IT IS TRICK. They tried to steal my money. They supposed to charge parking $25 and dog $45 +tax =$79.10. Then return me deposit $200. $230 - $79.10= $150.90 ⬅️ they steal $150.90!! I called them to return. They said it takes 5 business days to return. They still NOT RETURN MY MONEY. 😡😠🤬

We went for breakfast at the Flourmill inside the Hotel. Very good service, the French toast was amazing and they bring single press coffee right to the table. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic breakfast or brunch. A little pricey and too quaint for kiddos.

Had brunch at the Old Stone Inn winterfest. Private outdoor dinning experience in the cabin at their courtyard. Was a unique and enjoyable experience, great service. Cute and cozy decor in the cabin. Food was amazing. Had endless mimosa! Comfy blankets were provided, 2 heaters in the cabin. So it’s actually very warm! Reservation was easy to book online, and complimentary parking when dinning with them.

I think the hotel itself is nice. The decor in the lobby and common areas is very nice. The bad - parking is $25.00. The price for parking is ridiculous, any other chain hotels include parking. The bad - $15.00 facility fee. Every reservation is charged a $15.00 fee that goes towards the one water bottle in the room and the coffee they offer in the morning (only in the morning). There is NO breakfast, so I don't understand what this charge is for, water and coffee? They also did not tell me about this until I checked out, no mention at all on check-in, then told me it was in the terms and conditions. The bad - basic electronics in the room (i.e., iPhone charger docking station, new smart TVs) are nonexistent. The good - my room was clean, that was nice. The good - location, it is close to all good attractions in Niagara Falls. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, I would choose another location. The high price is not the issue, the issue is the high price is not reflected in the quality.

We had a wonderful time at Old Stone Inn. The decor was so gorgeous and cozy. The service was great and quick. The rooms were clean and absolutely beautiful! It was quiet, perfect for an anniversary weekend! Very romantic. They have a cute bar and a great restaurant on site. It's very central, so you can walk everywhere. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back. Thank you Old Stone Inn Boutique Hotel!!❤❤❤❤❤

Decent hotel, perfectly adequate. The customer service wasn't super warm. What really bugged me were the added fees. A 15$ "resort" fee that was explained to me as a fee for "complimentary water, coffee, tea". Then it's not complimentary is it? Plus $25 to park in a muddy, pot-hole ridden vacant lot in the back. Comparable hotels in same neighborhood include parking. It's still a hike of over 1.5 km to the falls so why are you charging for this?

Booked for the "Luxury King" room. The hidden parking fee of $27+ tax is a joke. The showerhead in the room was sputtering water at all different angles as if there was significant calcium deposit buildup in the shower head. The TV is about 32" and the channels were full of video noise/snow. About the only good thing about this place is the bed which was comfortable. The only part of this hotel that is a stone lodge is the lobby. The rest of the structure where all the rooms are is like a large motel. Not worth the money.

Extremely disappointing experience. Check in at front desk was lackluster; no chit chat, restaurant recos etc., Parking for hotel guests is also not included. As soon as we entered the room, we noticed a huge centipede on the ceiling. We called front desk and they informed us that this was not normal and they would send a housekeeping staff member to check our room - no one came. Booked the pool and was informed that up to 10 can book (even during covid) pool is VERY small and did not feel comfortable with other guests in the same area; I would say up to 5 max makes sense in this area considering no one wears a mask when lounging. We asked the front desk team if we could book a different time slot for the pool and were told they'd call us back - this also never happened. Check in was at 3PM and they informed us our room was being inspected. There was a hair in the bath tub, a multi vitamin on the floor, and an empty kleenex box under the sink that were all missed during this "inspection". The room also included no overhead lighting, no mini fridge, and the beds were double but advertised as queens. The two positives; the sheets are soft and the lobby decor was nice. This hotel is not a "boutique" there is nothing luxurious about it - the price is NOT reflective of the quality.  Would only recommend visiting during off season when prices are reduced.

Where to start with this place. Firstly I ordered rose pedals to be set up on the bed and bathroom floor, I was given about 20-25 Pedals max and none were in the bathroom. Air condition is almost non existent blowing cold air at the slowest possible pace. There is no fridge, make sure you pack toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and TOOTHPASTE because they don't offer any of it, the soap was opened and out of the package. The view from my hotel window displayed a beautiful staircase full of old dirty shoes from the swimmers in the pool. The shower does not work, my girlfriend couldn't have a shower in the morning and neither could I. The elevator is extremely slow for only having 3 floors. The hallways are humid and muggy and smell of way too much chlorine from the pool. Spoke to the manager Mike who tried his best to accommodate but wasn't able to help much, he offered me a complimentary dessert at the restaurant (which I don't eat) This was supposed to be a romantic night for me and my girlfriend as we're celebrating her birthday. This was the worst $447 I ever spent in my life. Could have paid $60 more and enjoyed a view overlooking the falls somewhere else. Stay far away from Old Stone Inn Boutique hotel. You're better off at a $99 motel.

The first room had feces on the toilet seat and the room had a musty smell. We were given a new room. The second room was initially better, until we turned down the sheets to discover dirty/stained sheets on both beds. Clearly housekeeping doesn't pay any attention to the cleanliness of the rooms. They refunded the parking and resort fees but wouldn't offer any other discounts. I would not recommend staying here. There are much better hotels to stay at in the area.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the inside was. Based on the outside appearance, I was afraid it would be dated and old. We ate dinner at the restaurant. Great ambiance and very good food. My girlfriend and I were disappointed with our cocktails (they reminded us of a cocktail you’d get at a bowling alley) and our server. However, the manager had met us earlier in the night and remembered us by name and made us feel very welcome.

Wonderful experience, classy and upscale atmosphere. we came for the hot chocolate walk, we arrived near closing but they were happy to accommodate us! The manager Frank and our waiter John were very kind. The Hot Berry Blast hot chocolate was astounding. Nothing but great things to say!

Had drinks in the bar 1904. Loved the bar staff, no one there so we sat right in front of the fireplace. Such a lovely vibe. Warm and comfortable. Great drink menu. Hotel bars aren't normally busy, but perfect for me a local.

Was an exquisite restaurant with excellent service. We were in somewhat of a rush as we were attending a show and the server and kitchen were able to expedite our order and got us out the door in time. The food and drinks were above excellent. Menu was short but we ordered many different items and all were peak! The restaurant decor itself is stunning, go try something new and tantalize your senses.

Great location, Christmas decorations and good food is all I can give top marks for. Very dated rooms, pool temp cold, no bar fridge in room, carpets are screaming to be replaced, should be no excuse for the old blurry TV at today’s prices for electronics, mattress substandard. The front desk staff is amazing.

We really like the hotel and the ability to bring a small dog. The fee to bring the animal is kind of high and there is a parking fee but we got a good deal on the room online. That being said, all the employees in the service was super nice and the restaurant and the bar were awesome. The whole place is very cute and quaint and I have pictures attached. Would stay again for sure.

This is a hidden gem. The entire place is cozy and welcoming. They are dog friendly and even give the doggo a welcome package. The staff could not have been any more friendly and accommodating if they tried. The restaurant has some sticker shock on the pricing BUT it was delicious and worth the price. Hands down one of the best steaks I have ever had.

We had a very nice stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated for the holiday season. We stayed in the King room with fireplace and the room was perfect. Love the fact that it is pet friendly. Next time our stay will be longer to see the show and enjoy the pool.

I’ve visited this place twice for brunch. The service has always been questionable. It’s hard to flag someone down for your table. Both times I’ve waited more than 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge me even after looking at me. Yesterday I asked a gentlemen who was working the dining room politely for assistance to locate our service for the table and he rudely ignored me and walked away never ever looking in my direction. My friends told me the server was over explaining a question she had about what was the best food item to order and instead got a lesson on what a skillet vs a Benedict was. Not what was asked The food is hands down some of the best food I’ve ever had and it was just delightful. They make everything in house so the issue is not the kitchen staff - It’s too bad the management didn’t have a better understanding of the expectation of the service industry and it makes me think that much more is lacking behind the scene if these employees are so unhappy working in this place. Appearance wise it’s just stunning… but to have a beautiful place with sub par service really defeats the goal. Likely won’t return again after this experience. I’ll keep looking for other places.
