Good location to Clifton hill. Stayed here for a night with the water park package (4 admissions included). 5 minute walk (outside) to the water park - no issue if weather is mild but think twice if it is deep winter with snow. They allowed us to park there when we arrived at noon before our room was ready. Left our car there until evening of the day of check out. Staff were pretty friendly and helpful. Hotel is very very outdated and needs more lighting in the court yard. Elevators took forever. Room was spacious but not clean. We found food crumbs on the bed under the blankets. Ac/heat was full of dusts. Bathroom was also dated but shower was hot with good water pressure. Although breakfast was included but quite disappointing. Bagels, breads, cereals, juice and milk were all they served. No fruits or yogurts. The only hot items were sausage patties and egg patties.

Lovely hotel with great staff. This is great for the location it is in, everything is in within walking distance. Bathrooms were a bit outdated but was clean and stocked with towels. We only stayed for one night but it was pleasant. The indoor pool looked like a lot of fun wish I brought a swimming suit. The breakfast was also good to get you going for the next day, did not expect much but they do have eggs and sausage which was a pleasant surprise. They definitely stock the breakfast items with more than enough for the guests dining. Good variety of juice, coffee, and tea. This hotel is definitely not the fanciest but if that is not your priority and you value friendly front desk service then I would recommend staying.

If you are coming with a family with kids make sure the pool is working. I came with three energetic boys last August on a hot day thinking that after a day of activities we would have a good and relaxing swim. The pool was being renovated, I was told. The rooms are clean and pleasant but a bit rundown and showing age. The staff was nice. The hotel offers a typical breakfast of cereal corn flakes with milk, bagels, English muffins a d toast served with a pork paddies and egg paddies. Jams, butter, peanut butter available. Coffee and tea as well. Nothing special, typical but filling and gives you energy in the morning. I would come back to this hotel given the pool was working.

We arrived to hear the pool is closed for renovations. Our first room had bad mold in the bathroom with rust on the ceiling. The carpets and furniture was stained. The toilet did not flush. When we complained they gave us a new room. It was better but when we went to go out, the door would not lock/close completely. Maintenance came and fixed that promptly. The beds were uncomfortable and the wallpaper is peeling off the walls in the rooms and throughout the hotel. There was only one elevator available as the other was broken down. The breakfast was okay. We still paid a generous amount for this hotel for 3 nights and did not get anything back for the issues we had. They also make you pay upfront so you are unable to get out of the stay. Other hotels you pay when you check out.

Was very easy to book with them. Great customer service. They had free parking and breakfast buffet which was a bonus to being so close to Clifton hill. The downside would be that there were kids running through the halls and making lots of noise as well as the bathroom being very outdated. Rooms also lacked a mini fridge. Otherwise it was a great place to say for a short period of time on a budget.

Not entirely sure why there are so many good reviews for this hotel— me and my family feel completely deceived. While the staff at this hotel are super understanding and very helpful (the reason why I've given it an extra star) everything else is awful. If you're looking for an experience that provides you with a newer, more modern looking hotel feel do NOT go here. I cannot stress this enough. I'm convinced this place has not been worked on since the late 90's. There was water damage on our bathrooms ceiling, patches were ripped out of the carpet and one of the outlets looked as though it had been completely ripped out of the wall. The threads on the bedsheets were broken and there were a few red/brown stains on the sheets. Upon this unsightly discovery, we asked for another room and with no issue whatsoever they got us a better room. Even then, there were stains on the sheets/curtains and it seems as though every single room is outdated and old. One of the lamps cables ran through the door frame in our suite to the other room, which looked quite ridiculous and didn't seem all that safe. The balconies overlooking the hotel are nice. The staff is nice. Those are the only positive things I can say about this place. The hot tub was broken and drained upon arrival, and the pool goes no deeper than 5ft (so a plus if you have kids, I guess). Complimentary breakfast was offered which is great if that's your thing, but after seeing a kid pick their nose and go for a bagel we were turned off by that idea. Would not come here again, especially with how much money we spent on just one night.

This hotel has so much potential if they did some repairs and updated the rooms. We travelled here for two nights with our family of 4 - two adults and two young children. Here is my honest review. Hotel/Room - We stayed in a family suite and I loved the layout of the hotel with the balconies facing into the interior lobby courtyard - we spent a lot of time on the balcony as a family of 4 and didn't have to worry about the weather in a winter month. Our room had a mini fridge but for a "family suite" it would be great if there was a little kitchenette with sink. The hotel and rooms are not just outdated but honestly in quite disrepair. Rips in the wallpaper, broken light fixtures, and carpet pulling up/stains on the carpet and stains on the curtains. The bed was comfortable and the linens were clean. On checkout day we found an infestation of ants on the carpet and balcony in our room, and in a bag of sealed, dry food we had brought. Even after getting rid of the food there were tons crawling all over the carpet...shudder. Location/Value- The location of the hotel is awesome, within close walking distance to Clifton Hill and across the street from the water park. The value of the price that included parking, two days of water park passes, a round of mini golf and credits at a local arcade was pretty good for Niagara. This also included a continental breakfast of breads, cereal, coffee, tea and juices, warm sausage and egg patties. Nothing fancy, but it did the trick. Facilities - As others have mentioned the hot tub is not in operation. The pool hours go quite late and is quite noisy until about 10pm. I wish the pool was heated slightly more as it was quite cold when we tried to go for a swim. The cafe was great to have while travelling with kids. There are booster seats and highchairs available as well as a microwave. All the vending machines we saw were out of order as well as the main floor ice machine. We had no issues with the elevator and it always came fairly quickly. As mentioned above with some TLC this hotel could be awesome. I hope they do some renovations soon. EDIT - The hotel did kindly take a portion off of our stay and send maintenance to look at the ants. So we appreciated that.

Pool and hot tub are closed. Person at the desk said they would be closed until the end of the year. Ice machine on our floor was out of order, one of the elevators was out of order. The rooms could definitely use an upgrade as the ceilings were cracked and the furniture was outdated. Beds were comfy, it is close to Clifton Hill and the casino, location and the breakfast that is included are the only positives. I had stayed here 5 years ago and it was great, but this time has turned me off of the hotel. Won't be back any time soon. If I had known about the pool and hotel beforehand I would have stayed on Clifton Hill in the motel for the same price

This is my first time back for water park and stay since pandemic. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you buy extra wrist band from the hotel, it is much cheaper. Still offers free parking and FREE BREAKFAST BUFFET, my family and kids are so happy and fully enjoyed our stay.

We went for 3 nights and I have to say this hotel is for families with kids because of the indoor pool and waterpark. It is Walking distance to the falls and Clifton hill, Free parking and free breakfast. The breakfast was not good just processed food (bread, frozen sausages and eggs) no fruits at all. Staff was very nice and polite. Housekeeping does not clean the room until you leave so if you need towels and clean sheets you have to ask reception. The room is so outdated and has a very old smell, The bed needs to be replaced it is not comfortable at all and we had a hard time sleeping and our backs hurt. The only good thing about the room was the jacuzzi. I only recommend this hotel for families with kids.

Pretty much exactly the experience I was expecting. My friend and I stayed here for two nights on the Apr. 22-24, 2022 weekend and found the experience to be reasonable. This is clearly a remodeled hotel (the elevator license suggests it was originally a Hampton Inn) that is attractive because of its "reasonable" price per night (compared to other nearby hotels), free breakfast and free parking. The room was clean, if dated, and the breakfast options were about the standard fare I was expecting (no Belgian waffles, though!). Room service is generally prompt and the beds are certainly comfy. There's a no-frills atmosphere to the place that makes this an attractive proposition for groups -- as I saw with at least two sports teams that had rented out rooms during that weekend and came down for breakfast. I liken this hotel to the kind of place that works for people who aren't flashy -- you aren't paying top dollar for the hotel experience, but you don't need to, as all the basic amenities and experience you'd expect (particularly given the convenience to the Niagara strip -- literally steps away to Remington's and Perkins) are bundled in to the package. Recommended - and would definitely visit again!

When I went with my family, people didn't let me check-in even 1 hour earlier and the breakfast time is also till 9 o'clock, when at least the breakfast time should be extended to 10 o'clock. The staff is ok, the rooms are not special, they need to be cleaned. Please make the breakfast time till 10 am and give a little discount for children when check in early specially when the kids with guest. It will be very kind.

$270 for a night and this hotel is very old and run down. Looks like it hasn’t been renovated in 30+ years. Room has old dank smell like it used to be smoking. Carpet is worn and peeling. Wallpaper is peeling. Curtains look like my grandmothers. Mattress is old and had a obvious cavity from overuse. Towels were rough to the touch. Bathroom is very tight. No plug next to the bed. The list goes on.

If I'm being honest there are pros and cons to this hotel but the cons seem to outweigh the pros. The rooms were clean but beds are anything but comfortable . The hotel does NOT TAKE CASH ! This made for a very awkward check in as I had to drive to a local bank . .make a deposit. So I could pay them with my card. I guess it's a covid policy.. so be it. The best part is the location but there are many that are even better to be honest. It does include a hot breakfast but the options are limited. Sausage patties, bagels /bread and eggs basically. No fruit or waffle maker for the kids which would have made it more enjoyable. I've seen continental breakfasts that actually had more options 🤔. At the end of the day.. .you may save a few bucks at this hotel but there are far better options in Niagara for the money.

We first got room with a window facing the dining hall. Which wasn't very welcoming. My 9 moth old son wasn't comfortable. After requesting, we were given the room facing the Clifton hill rides and fall. It was bright and clean. My kids loved the view. The amenities looks a bit dated. The staff was polite and helpful. Would recommend to try getting a room with balcony or the room facing the Clifton hill. The pool is open between 10.00 am and 10.00 pm. Parking and breakfast are included. It's USP is It's proximity to Clifton hill hustle.

Well we got there after a long dri e and we got the Whirlpool Suite it's a bigger room. Its room 625 We walk in and the ceiling is caved in. You think they would ha e checked it before hand. So then they wanted to put us in a smaller room I said NO we paid for a bigger Whirlpool Suite and that's what I would like So they took us to room 525 same size they defiantly need to update Breakfast was awesome it was good. Can't believe they have a pool in the middle of the lobby different yes. No fridges in the room you have to ask for one It was alright. They want an outrageous amount for a deposit $200.00 wow. But the important thing is we had a great time there. Went to the Casino won 186 bucks with a free 25 gift card can't complain. We had dinner awesome restaurant great food.

Clean. I got a two bedroom family room. It was roomy enough but the “queen bed” were double. There was no microwave in the room but there was one in the breakfast area in the lobby. The mini-fridge was smaller than most. All that said, I got two bedrooms for the price of 1 at a 4 or 5 star, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have an “amenity/property” fee at most Niagara hotels now so be prepared to see that anywhere. My thought is the ‘amenity fee’ has replaced the tourism tax that you used to be able to decline, this way you can’t decline paying, sneaky. 👀

Had a great stay. The rooms are dated and could use a renovation but that wasnt concerning. Our room was clean and comfortable (family suit). The balcony overlooking the lobby/pool area is large and nice to sit on. The pool was a good temperature. The breakfast buffet had coffee, tea, juice, cereals, sausage and egg patties, bread, bagels, english muffins. Lots of condiments available. A quick walk to Clifton Hill. Would definetely stay here again

Came here for the breakfast and hot tub. Room didn’t have a fridge. Hot tub broken and NO Vegan options or alternatives for breakfast. Glad we brought our own alternatives so we could eat toast and cereal. Would expect in today’s times, they would offer alternatives. Absolutely not worth it and won’t come back.

Expectations were not high....a three star hotel is a three star hotel. Our room was adequate, parking convenient, and close to the waterpark and Clifton Hill. But the lobby was eerily dark and deserted, only one elevator was working and the one not working was poorly barricaded. The hot tub was empty, but again not barricaded safely ( even though it is right beside the pool and so easy to fall into) and apparently will never be refilled as "it's too expensive". The nail in the coffin was the lack of lighting around and in the pool area. After asking about lighting in the area ( maybe on a timer or turned on as needed?) I was told at least it was "romantic".Not if you're swimming with toddlers, then it's just unsafe! All in all it just felt like a hotel that the owners are just running til it's done...

Dear Management and Staff. Very good hotel, best location, best service, and very tasty breakfast. Booking Date was 21 to 22 June 2023. But one very important thing that I saw was that people were taking out egg omelets and pork breakfast sauces from the same steel kitchen tongs because the egg omelets and pork breakfast sauces were kept in the same Buffet Server, that's why it was happening. As you know, many people stay in your hotel whose religions do not eat pork or they are vegetarians, so as a customer, you are requested to take care of that. If you fry the pork breakfast sauces in the fry pan, then please do not fry the eggs in the same pan and also it and keep them both in a separate buffet server and keep them away so that the kitchen tongs can be used separately and there is no problem for anyone. I believe your management will take care of the above two things.

My family stayed here for one night. Staffs are very pleasant. You can't go wrong if you are looking to stay for the night and enjoy as much time outside in Niagara falls. I like the vintage feel of it. Wifi is free, parking is free and breakfast is free. How sweet is that? Not a lot of selection of food but it works for my family. Will come back here definitely!

This is a well run Hotel, we stayed several days and Deanna went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The rooms are comfortable and the beds and pillows were like I was sleeping at home. Everything was spotless and to add to the stay there was a complimentary buffet breakfast and free parking which made staying very affordable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Diana was super friendly at the front counter. Easy check in and out. Rooms clean with adequate towels. Free Parking. Hotel is close walking distance to Clifton Hill. Breakfast was the same for 2 days with round sausage and egg with choices of bread, English muffin or Bagel. It is nothing fancy but it suited us fine. A microwave in the food area would be a convenience for travelers who needed to reheat leftovers late at night. Just a thought to think about but not a deal breaker. I would stay here again.

This hotel is a reasonable price. It has a slightly outdated interior but I kind of appreciate the vintage vibe. Good bang for your buck so to speak. To elaborate on the vintage vibe, inside my room felt comparable to my grandparents master bedroom. Very close to fun areas of Niagara falls. This would be my first choice in vacation.

Just returned home after a 2 night stay at the CVI. We stayed in the Whirlpool Suite and it was a very nice room. Despite the need for renovations due to the hotel being outdated, we still had a wonderful stay there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is very typical with sausage patties, eggs, English muffins, toast, bagels, and cereal. We were able to take breakfast to our room to eat as well. The hotel has free parking, which was very nice; decent size parking lot as well. Clifton Hill is literally a 5 minute walk from the hotel, very close to everything. If you are looking for a relaxed, quiet, easy-going hotel, I would recommend to stay at the CVI (Whirlpool Suite).

My mum and I had a 3 day stay at the Clifton Victoria Inn. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Nothing fancy, but we didn't book luxury. But that is not why I would recommend this hotel. As we were driving back home from our trip to Niagara, we received a call from the front desk saying we had left our valuables behind. The honesty of the hotel staff was impeccable. They arranged to overnight us our valuables, which we received by 9am the next morning. Not 1 single thing was missing. The honesty and integrity of the staff, from housekeeping to the front desk must be praised and commended. I hope the general manager sees this and rewards her employees accordingly.

This was a good hotel. Not fancy but simple. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The rooms were clean and nice. It was close to most attractions and within walking distance of the falls. The free parking and breakfast were a nice extra especially for big families. The only down side was the pool was out of commission which was not expressed to us during booking. So kids were very disappointed.

No frills but tidy, free parking/wifi, and a 5 minute walk to Clifton Hills. Courtney was kind and so friendly! Very comfortable beds and pillows.

Our stay wasn't to bad, room was a good size but little outdated and there was no fridge or microwave. Pillows weren't very uncomfortable, I had to request new ones but they did replace them with alot better ones. Breakfast and free parking were one of the best things about staying here and also being just a walk from clifton Hill.

  • 1/5 Douglas B. 2 years ago on Google
The definition of a cheap motel. Regret staying here on the recommendation of a friend. Old and worn out. Pool is in the middle of reception with every floor looking down at you. Dirty rooms with nasty hard towels. Just a horrible place to stay. You can do better for the price they charge. Days over on Centre is way better.

Same boring breakfast every day, it is very dated but it's also an expensive. Good place to take the kids, don't have to worry about them bugging other people. The Wi-Fi kind of sucks oh, the jacuzzi suite is nice and the family suites are nice oh, just dated
