I'm GUILTY of not trusting the other reviews. Booked here even though other reviews complained of noise because it's attached to the Waterpark. When I tell you it's loud I mean it feels like these kids are in your room screaming. I actually recorded an audio of what it sounded like cause no one would believe just how loud this place is. I am currently in this hotel listening to kids play tag, soccer and just screaming at the top of their lungs at 9:25pm. When I called the front desk they said they don't have a security guard here till 10pm and no other staff member can tell the kids to be quiet ONLY the security guard. I told them I would talk to them and they asked me not to but I did anyways 🤪 I have young kids trying to sleep. When I went over none of the kids had parents supervising them they were just running wild on there own. 😳 Seems like a child safety issue since these kids were climbing on gazebos and 2 store high railings. When we addressed this last night with the staff at the hotel they did not care in the slightest they actually said we can't guarantee there won't be any noise.......I said we expected noise but this is out of control. Seriously stay anywhere else!!! It's worth the walk or the extra money to stay somewhere else. Oh and also when we checked in they sent us to our rooms without keys and when I went back to get them they laughed and didn't say sorry or your welcome when I said thank you they literally didn't say anything just laughed.

Just an ordinary hotel. Appropriate access to the water-park. The location was nice and easily accessible. The rooms were just okay, but not clean enough for new guests.  I noticed the curtains and baseboards were not clean. I personally didn't enjoy the atmosphere of the hotel and my room. I would prefer to find a better place next time. Thanks anyway.

Food court prices at water park were really good that's were all the good stuff ended. Water park was smaller then I expected. Now to what not to do, never stay at the hotel. ALL NIGHT SLAMMING AND BANGING DON'T EXPECT TO SLEEP. we will never stay at this place again. Spend the extra $200 and go to the great wolf lodge, or a trip when you spend $500+ a decent night sleep should be expected.

I have been coming to this hotel since my kids were young and now I took my Grandson for the first time and my big kids back again lol... this past weekend. Excellent location close to everything walking distance to all the attractions. The hotel itself is older and yes needs some upgrading as many do but overall its a great spot. Our room was ready as we arrived a bit early there were a couple of issues with our room but they were immediately resolved! Big thank you to Ian the Manager, who was so caring and front desk and their staff especially Amanda, great customer service skills, we will most definitely go back there.

I was a little skeptical of this hotel as our trip was a spur of the moment thing so the room was booked before reading reviews. My husband pointed out the bad reviews saying the courtyard view rooms are really loud (this was one of the rooms I had booked) and I'm a light sleeper. I ended up upgrading to a bunk bed room. The door was still in the courtyard, but the beds/windows were not. The door/walls were thin, so as I was laying in bed, I can hear people in the hallway clearly. Thankfully we went on a Thursday night so the hotel wasn't too busy. We ended up having a great sleep. The room/bathroom was clean, but I will admit, there was a bit of a smell, probably from the carpet? But everything else looked clean and the beds were comfy. Not to mention how convenient it is to get to the water park and Clifton Hill!! Also would like to give a shout out to the lady working at the front, Jackie, she was awesome. I really enjoyed my encounter with her.

We enjoyed this hotel! Amazing location! Central to everything! Room was clean and they gave water bottles which was very nice. Only small complaint was that the room was very hot and not sure if AC worked. Kids loved the bunk beds and we will come back to checkout the water park!

We booked this hotel cause it was the only cheap (not that cheap) place connected to the Fallsview water park. We booked 1 room for 4 adults and 3 kids (1 king bed and 2 queen beds, 1 washroom). The place had this musty smell the check in time was 4pm and check out was 12pm which is less than 12 hours. We had to pay for parking separately for each car. The hotel was average, could be cleaner. There was a nice patio area to sit and chill with family and friends. The check in process was long and had waiting involved. The inside pathway to the Waterpark was great and very easy.

Decent but nothing special. Cons: - The waterpark is mainly for kids but thankfully I came with the rest of my family so some of us could enjoy it. - The floors and walls are not soundproof so the guy upstairs stomping around woke me up and I got 4 hours of sleep. - No all you can eat breakfast like many other hotels. Pros: - Breakfast was great as option 1 was the best breakfast I've ever had in my entire life. - Good location, placed right next to the tourism area. - No bug infestation.

This past Monday I attempted to check in to this hotel and have a very, very bad experience. When I arrived I was told a hold of nearly $300 was being put on hold for my room. I tried to inquire about the charges associated with the hold and was given inconsistent answers with a lot of attitude. I continued to press for a sensible explanation and was told that my room cost $179 plus tax. I asked how could that be when I booked the room on Hotwire and the charge was 48$ USD. I was given the keys and sent my sister and her b aby upstairs with another relative that was helping us to check in. After many minutes of whispering in front of me I overheard the words "wrong room". I demanded to know what was going on when the same rude guest agent informed me that this would be fixed if I bring the keys back. I again asked what was going on and was told (to the hearing of other guests checking in) that the hotel had made a mistake and put us in the most expensive room. I asked why she didn't say that from the start instead of all the whispering. Why didn't she apologize and straighten it out. She defensively said, "because I just found out now". I proceeded to phone Hotwire as I was told that I needed to deal with my 'third-party vendor'. While I was talking to a Hotwire agent I saw my family in the lobby and I was told that this same agent went upstairs to clear them out of the room to put my in a lower cost room under the Hot Rate. I was embarrassed, insulted and offended by this treatment. As a racialized person, the treatment I received was so backwards and demeaning. I am warning other persons to avoid staying here. I want to thank Hotwire for being sympathetic to my experience and promptly booking me into another hotel and paying the difference. Thank you so much Hotwire. I will never stay at Skyline Hotel and Waterpark again. By the way, it was a good thing we booked somewhere else because my sister said afterwards the room reeked. Also, another group came down to complain about the cleanliness and scent of their room while I was talking to the hotel agent. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

If you miss that old-smoky, casino smell, these are the rooms for you! It's a very strong smell when you enter the room, and not one that is smelled in the hallways. Just to improve your stay, there are also loud, clunky AC units in the room! Don't worry about it being 2023, there are no upgraded outlets with usb chargers, nor any easy to access/ free power outlets. If you want to charge more than 1 phone by the bed, you also have to unplug the bedside light. Thinking of getting parking with your package? The on-site hotel parking is limited. You're directed across the street for more parking. If I knew that were the case, I would have opted for the 5 dollar parking across the street, equidistant to the hotel as the off-site, multi level parking. This hotel is located in a good spot, and easily walking distance to all major attractions. Also an on-site restaurant but wasn't willing to try it. Unfortunately, the outdoor basketball pool was out of service. We went with a 2 year old, and although she loved it, I wish there were actual slides (at the beach house) that you could go on with her. The only areas a toddler under 40 inches could enter were the splash pad (warmer water), the pool and 1 mini slide, that quite frankly sent people sliding really far out. The environment is also really loud. You won't be able to hear each other, unless next to each other. Waterpark hours are quite limited most days. Open 12-7, and for a toddler, between meals and naps, you can't really 'spend a day' there.

The hotel is great and the water park as well, make sure to reserve a room in the hotel to get a big discount and bonus for the water park (hotel and water park package) the reason why I am giving 4 stars because there was no bathroom in the loppy. You either must have an immediate access to your room or to the water park to use the bathroom, the room doesn't have safe neither microwave. Other wise all is perfect. I highly recommend it.

The location is perfect for adults and the hotel caters to kids. Clifton Hill and Casino Niagara are a quick walk from the front door for other activities than the hotels indoor water park. The rooms were clean and decent sized for those who always sleep with an air conditioner or fan will need to ask for a desk fan during the colder months since the hotel turns their unit to heat only.

This hotel is in a great spot for tourists to be close to the carnival like atmosphere. Added bonus is that it's attached to the Waterpark. At first glance the room seems dated. The smell of our room was something that would be akin to sea weed. But we remedied that with a scented candle. Also the carpet is due. Aside from that, we had two huge beds. And a bunk bed for the kids. For the price point the room met all our needs. A place to sit, sleep, shower and unwind to rinse and repeat the next day. The room was clean and spacious. It's also attached to a Perkins restaurant which is a great breakfast option that won't break your pocket. I've seen a few people complain about noise from the Waterpark. We didn't experience that. But at night we also had a white noise machine. The only thing we could hear then was the fireworks going at 10pm every night. I like this hotel! I would definitely use it again. It met our needs and the price point was fair. For a family or a group of friends this is a great option.

People at the front desk are amazing but this may not be the best hotel for people with young children. There’s courtrooms/courtyard type hangout areas outside of the rooms and people are there being loud until 11 at night. The last two nights have had the same issue. Makes for a tough vacation when my kiddo is waking every 15 mins due to people screaming outside the room! Then he’s exhausted the whole day. Last night there were about 15 kids playing hockey till 11pm. Smacking their hickey sticks and screaming everytime they scored. Hotel does have quiet hours but they haven’t been followed. The courtyard style isn’t suitable for small kids. Other than the setup of the hotel (noise too) it’s great for anyone without little kids or who don’t care as much about their kiddos routines. Great staff and great communication from them!

The whole hotel needs upgrading. carpets feel like you will fall through while walking on, ceilings with water damage, carpets looks Philly throughout. The room had a musty smell, cob webs, dirty carpets. We just felt gross. The beds were like sleeping on cardboard (2217) the room we had. The water park was ridiculous if you have around 3-5 years old AVOID. There was only one slide my son could use the other 2 yellow ones were closed ( which we weren’t aware of) only the wave pool for maintenance. We decided to purchase a day pass at AMERICANA. It was amazing!!!!! He was able to go on tube slides with a parent while wearing their life jackets. The kids water play he loved! There were actually two areas. Good job Americana! Skyline is good for location only. I would suggest booking with the Sheraton which has access to the water park if you have children aged 6 plus. The cleanliness would be better. Definitely disappointed as we paid for two nights at a grand total of 1000 CAD

The courtyards should be renamed The Playpens. Noise echos and radiated throughout the entire hotel. Kids running from one end of the hotel to the other. Parents nowhere to be seen, groups of people out front smoking pot at entry ways. Staff was eager and quick to get us a kettle when asked and extra garbage bags too. Alarm sounded but quickly dealt with. I wasn’t overly impressed for the amount of money we spent to stay here but it was convenient and we were able to have a connected room for our large family which they accommodated last minute. If the price was cheaper I would have felt like we got what we paid for but not at the price of almost $800/one night. Also not sure why the restaurant attached to the hotel is closed for the dinner hour when check in is 4 pm.

Great that it's attached to the water park and close to Clifton. Note that it's kidville and parents let there kids run wild especially at night. There is an open area in the middle of the rooms. And kids were screaming and yelling past 10pm with no supervision and climbing through gardens. Playing bottle flip. Had to call security. Otherwise it was good. The complimentary waters was a nice touch and the staff is very nice.

My family and l didn't have a great experience. The rooms are not what they appear on the website. The bed headboards were all dusty, the bathroom walls had what appeared to be mildew, the bath tub was faded and black which is hard to tell if it's clean. The room had an old smell and the room lighting was not really good. When l arrived to the room, there was broken lamp that was completely falling down. This lamp was the main source of lighting in the room. Maintenance replaced it with an old dirty and stanied lamp. I noticed the curtains and the glass windows were not clean. On positive note, the atmosphere of the hotel was good. The staff were pleasant and accommodating.

It was fine. The rooms were nice and had an easy to use coffee machine. The tv wouldn’t always work for every channel. You can’t see the falls du to the lack of rooms facing that way and that a bigger hotel is there. We got a package where kids eat free but those restaurants said that’s not a thing. Once we checked out they just told us to pay but never gave us a receipt. Overall, Sheraton might be a pricier but better choice.

Rarely do I ever find a hotel experience disappointing but this was one on my list for sure unfortunately. The pros were the staff was friendly and our room was okay. The waterpark was ok, not as enjoyable as other places we have been to, but it was okay. What made our visit extremely disappointing is that we had to leave the hotel at 2am in the morning because no one was able to sleep! It seemed like there were elephants or a bunch animals running around above our heads!! The walls or structure is built that you hear everything including conversations from other rooms around you. We even heard a man’s voice from the floor above indicate that he “couldn’t f’ing sleep because of all the noise”. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel to anyone I’m sorry to say. The gentleman at the front was compassionate enough and knocked a bit off our bill but, we will not be returning after this experience.

The main point of our trip to Niagara Falls was to visit the water park- which was awesome! When we got to our room, my kids immediately said it smelled, which it did a little bit, so I opened up a window. I put some things into the mini fridge and it was disgustingly dirty, complete with someone else’s hair in there. The room didn’t look like it had been cleaned/wiped down at all. I had some wipes with me and cleaned the desk so my kids had a spot to eat, and the wipes were black. The chairs in the room and the courtyards are all stained and just need an update or a really good cleaning to make it more appealing.

Went for an overnight with our kids and grandkids we were out in the courtyard and were not told the movie would Be playing right outside our door from 8-10pm. The volume was extremely loud! Kids are young and Go to bed at 8 we called the front desk to ask if the volume could be turned down and were told no. Quiet time starts at 10 pm. At 1005 the credits were still going full blast. We called again and were told we just had to wait and They could move us to a new room! At 10pm!! Kids kept running around slamming doors, screaming until after12:30. Worst night sleep ever. Perkins was not open for summer the night before and then the next morning we had to wait until noon to get into the water park!! Very disappointing stay!!

How am I leaving a 5 star review for a hotel I didn't stay at? Because I experienced excellent customer service before even setting foot there. Unfortunately I had a personal situation that required me to cancel my trip I was looking forward to, but the supervisor herself was the one to answer the phone so early in the day and assure me they are understanding of the situation and that they will simply refund me. That's true leadership and a quality business for sure. I look forward to staying at skyline in the future and rebooking when the timing is right!

The hotel was good. The room was just ok. Friendly staff. It had these nice courtyard area in yhe middle of the rooms which were cool. The waterpark was awesome though. Not much swimming pools, but they do have awesome slides.

  • 1/5 Zeljka D. 10 months ago on Google
The room was fairly clean but outdated and worn out. The drains in the shower and sink were clogged and the toilet didn’t flush. I could hear everything that was happening outside, from people talking to walking. Especially from the room above me. I could hear every single step. The walls are paper thin and the door wasn’t even sealed properly, there was a decent amount of open space between the door and the wall. I Definitely wouldn’t call this a hotel, a motel for sure. And for the price they charge, you could stay at a much nicer hotel that overlooks the falls and not a “courtyard”. Is the location great, yes. Would I stay here again, never.

Recently stayed in the Skyline Hotel & Waterpark. I really do like this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, with an outside room lounge area that felt nice to relax in. We purchased a hotel and water park bundle for 1 night during the week day. All in all it was fine. The reason for a 3 star review is solely based on staff. They were polite and professional but didn't quite understand that our bundle included tickets (wrist bands) that are given to guest that purchased the bundle water package. They were not given to us when we checked in or after we checked out. Our entrance was denied, so we had to return to the front desk yet again. It was unnecessary. Anyways. I do recommend this hotel. Just make sure you get the wrist bands for the waterpark.

We had a great stay on our son's birthday. The staff at the hotel was so nice that they put candies and happy birthday sign on our room door. Very clean rooms, fridge and nice courtyard. We used to go to Sheraton and crown but even though it's less fancy here, it is definitely cleaner and friendlier. We will come back again soon!

A 2 star hotel pretending to be a 3 star hotel. Pay hotel prices for a motel stay. The overall experience of Skyline was awful. Kids running around from 11pm to 3am both nights we stayed. I am being conservative with that window. The hotel design is terrible, narrow corridors, elevators that close in you if you don’t tackle people out of the way to get to the narrow corridor to the elevator in the lobby. There is no room service or restaurant that operates for the hotel. Perkins isn’t associated with the hotel other than being attached. They won’t deliver to rooms etc. After trying to nap mid day from not sleeping Housekeeping knocks on the door to come clean at 1pm waking us all up from nap time. I was upset because I put the blue privacy card in the door which had fallen. I can assume that due to the narrow corridor someone’s luggage accidentally pulled it from the door. I gave two stars for what the appropriate hotel rating should be. Not the 3 star the Google listing says.

  • 4/5 Moe A. 1 year ago on Google
It's a bit over priced. The rooms are clean but could be much better. Parking is very limited and more expensive than outside. The food is over priced. The rooms are dark and elevators take too long to come. Slow room service. Water park can be much better. It's $75 per person per day for the water park only and the room is separate. The parking is a separate fee of $25. To be honest, I would rather get a season pass for wanderland than going here. But I had to give it a try.

You’re better off staying at the Toronto zoo, you’ll be guaranteed to sleep better as the animals at the zoo are actually much quieter. My god the parents who stay here have no control over their kids, absolutely disgusting. Why on earth security doesn’t come up when requested to shut these kids up is beyond me, I brought my baby here so we can enjoy the water park and she had a blast there’s no doubt about that, but bringing her to sleep as she goes down early was impossible… couldn’t get her to sleep at all. This part of our experience ruined it all for us, part of staying at a “nice” hotel is to get a good sleep, which is not possible at all. There are many other hotels, you are better off picking anything. The park bench is probably better than here.

The hotel is nice, we were at the top level in court yard 4 and didn’t hear any noise (unlike the other reviews) we did also stay on a Sunday night however. Hotel was very quiet on a Sunday in May, we were in the courtyard at 10pm chatting amongst ourselves (myself and my husband) and the security guard came over and said that the court card closes at 10 PM. I do understand why because others have complained about noise however it was just us to anyways rules are rules. We had issues with our hot water, the staff had to come fix it that night and the next morning it was out again. The hostel itself is super convenient being attached to the waterpark and it is also very clean and well-maintained. The staff are absolutely wonderful. I have to give a huge shout out to Amanda, she had helped us with all the little bumps that we had had throughout our stay, when we had left we accidentally left our clothes in the drawer of the dresser. The staff member checked and said there was nothing there we called back and said that there must be some items left behind Amanda went to personally check again, and of course she found what was left. She is honestly wonderful, top of the line customer service. She had made our stay great! Thank you Amanda!!!
