Arrived an hour after check-in. A $250 deposit was taken from my debit, which I was told I'd recieve back within a few days (Note: The DoubleTree Niagara only takes a $100 deposit fee for an even better room). The rooms usually cost $80 a night, however we stayed for New Years Eve so the price was a ridiculous $300. For the price we paid you'd think the hotel would be spotless and the rooms would be in a fair condition. The receptionist at the front desk told us in a serious tone that "Tonight is the only night we get business". As my girlfriend and I entered our Jacuzzi Suite, we noticed dirty floors. We inspected the bedroom only to find hairs on our bedsheets. 3 pillows, one missing a pillow case. My girlfriend looked in the bathroom and found the garbage bin full of used toilet paper, and one that had something resembling fecal matter on it. The toilet seat had pee all around it. There were toe nail trimmings in the drawers of the desk. All of the towels had a few blonde hairs on them, along with strange brown ish stains (make up i hope). I called the front desk to notify them and they placed me on a 10 minute hold. I hung up and went to the lobby, and the receptionist informed me that she forgot I was on the line. Nobody was in the lobby other than her. We notified her of the issues in our room and asked if it could be cleaned, as well as if we could recieve some form of discount as we had to cancel our dinner reservations to let the cleaner do his thing. The receptionist told me no discount would be given, nor would she try to reiumburse us in any fashion. Once he finished cleaning, we returned only to find that although he changed the covers, the bed sheet was completely missing now. The towels were replaced however the new ones still had stains on them. The only good thing about this hotel is that you're within a 3 minute walk to the OPP station just in case the crazy people in the area bother you. Edit: the below response is more than enough evidence as to what kind of staff works at this place. As someone who's father owns an international tour company, who has stayed in many many hotels and motels, I can confirm this is not a place for kids, or for those who care about cleanliness. The staff has proven to be dishonest. We checked in at 4PM and made a complain 10 minutes after inspection our room. Not 2 hours. Completely pathetic. Thank you for showing your poor customer service.

Stayed there for a day over the labor day weekend. The location is good but given what they're charging for the rooms is almost like paying for a 4star hotel. Don't mind paying but at least provide facilities accordingly. Had booked a two bedroom and the bathroom was not clean, the bath tub had stains of the mat and the towel bar was removed so a small pointed part was sticking out which could've been a hazard should someone slip in the shower. The ac also would not cool efficiently but what can you expect. Bottom line is if you're paying more $$ then there's some expectations.

Such a great place to stay! The staff was extremely friendly, and even prepared a simple free breakfast for us in the morning! The room was great! They were pretty clean and the hotel is so close to Clifton Hill, so it was very convenient. We will be back for sure! Such a great price! ありがとうございます 😁

Eh this hotel is a motel not the holiday inn bit formal red carpet inn. it dirty smelly but cheep and near the falls and Clifton hill its not run by traditional Canadians but Indian/ Pakistani students.the pool is large when open but closed as Indian tigers cant swim.bed bugs come as standard no extra cost air conditioning don't work fridges are old and dangerous. its set in a Wight trash red neck area, make the best of a bad situation, ok if want to slum it for a few nights, there are worse but much better too.

Check in wasn’t too bad for me but the gentleman in front of me took his key and was back while I was checking in, the owner took the key and ended up giving it to me. They were speaking a different langauge so I have no idea what the issue was. I had to go to the office every day when we got back in the afternoon because my key didn’t work. Owner tried to say having it next to my phone makes it not work. I never had it next to my phone! The room smells very clean and the beds are comfy. One ply toilet paper. Tub doesn’t drain very fast but water pressure and temp were great! No cover over fan in the bathroom, patch job in bathroom not painted. I am thankful it was clean and not a bad walk to Clifton Hills but would not stay here again. Too many other hotels around!

Friendly staff. Room was clean. Great great great location. In walking distance to Niagra Falls, with free parking, and easy on the $$. They let me keep my car there after check out so I could explore the area another day before I left. Breakfast in very minimal but I’m not a breakfast person anyways. It’s enough to start your day.

Good location and they have a pool. Continental breakfast is no name sliced bread and mini mini muffins . At least some bagels and cream cheese and a Costco croissants would be good and juice for the kids . Especially for 200 dollars for a small motel room. Or lower the price and just offer coffee and tea in the rooms

10 out of 10! I stayed here with my family over the weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean and a mere 5:minute walk to attractions. No complaints about this hotel. The management was very kind to us. If your looking for a clean room within walking distance to attractions that doesn't cost an arm and a leg then I recommend this hotel to you.

Terrible stay, walls are thin as paper, I could hear people above us quite often. Not clean at all, especially the bathrooms, they're disgusting. We didn't have a fitted bed sheet, just a normal sheet on top of the mattress with a thin blanket. Didn't have a TV remote. It didn't smell the best. Heater is loud to the point I couldn't sleep. Would definitely not recommend unless this is your very last choice

The price is very good. It was very clean. The man at the desk was very helpful and friendly. Told us if we needed anything at all to just call no matter the time. I needed an extra blanket at 9:30 and he was here and with a pillow. Tv worked no hasel with the channel and remote, shower and bathroom very clean. The bed very comfortable. One thing for sure we will book here again next time we come down.

Horrible leak from this hotel. Nothing is good, we paid over $110 for a hotel with incessant music and shouting. sale of a hotel with salvaged furniture. Very worn mattress and bad heating. Also, this hotel seems to serve as social housing for drug addicts and obviously well-established escorts. Crackhead party all night long and no management on site. See the photo of the crack device in front of the bedroom. the management gave us 2 phone numbers. one sent directly to the mailbox, the other was not assigned. disregard for customers. please flee.

I had a overall great experience. It's really close to the falls and the rooms are really affordable compared to what else is out there. I stayed here before too when it was cjs in. Now definitely the motel is better. Will definitely stay here again if or when I return to Niagara falls.

Wow! This was a memorable hotel. I liked the complementary in-room coffee. It was walking distance to most major attractions with easy access to the highway. Definitely made the trip.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my family. The room was clean and quiet and had comfortable beds. We had two nights of good rest.Friendly staff. We were caught in some snow but staff cleared out the snow promptly. Great location, close to the falls. Within 10 minute walk of Clifton Hills.

Visited the inn in late December, the man at the front desk was very nice, and offered to let us park in their lot past check-out time. The rooms were average, but great value for the price and very clean. Wifi worked great, and it was close to all the major attractions in Niagara Falls. This is honestly a pretty underrated place, and I would recommend this place to anyone coming to the Falls for a short visit.

We just spent two nights here with our family and I was surprised with it! Great room - it was large and spacious and smelled very clean. The staff was so very friendly. The location was amazing and I have never been that close to the falls. The owners were very pleasant and we will be going back! Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 night and I'm usually scared of motels but this one really exceeded my expectations. The room; more like a suit. Beds were comfortable, clean, lots of sitting area with sofa and chair. Microwave and fridge. Free parking and the website didn't mention free breakfast but they did have coffee, muffins, toast. Mr Gill was exceptionally friendly and so was his staff. We parked right outside the room door, and the lounge chairs made finishing off the night in the open air with beers and snacks just perfect. The location was close to everything yet quiet and parking was free. The pool was open and clean. Would definitely stay here again and request room 126... I love supporting small business.

I stayed with 7 night stay for 2 days with my family, the service was amazing. Mr. Gill was very nice and cooperative. The rooms and washroom were super clean and spacious. Very kid friendly. Both rooms had a mini fridge and microwave. They also serve complimentary breakfast (I.e. muffins, toast, tea and coffee). Over all great place for great Value. I would definitely recommend staying with them.

When the lady seen we had a small dog (who we had no intention of taking into the motel as we were travelling in a real beautiful van and each of us had no problem sleeping in it it for a night or 2 on our long trip) She immediately started lecturing us that the 15lb dog was not welcome I mean the motel is hardly the Hilton or The Ritz. The motel is cheap and in a good location but that's enough said. Women has a bad attitude and not a welcoming one. Not allowing our small dog was not disappointing to us as we had no intention of bringing the dog into the motel as we already knew the hotel was not pet friendly what was disappointing was the indian lady's attitude before we said anything she went into lecture mode, Being friendly is key to all customers in all business you need to remember that.

We stayed here for 4 nights and really loved it. Great price for the location and size of the rooms. Not far from Clifton Hill and the Falls. Spacious, clean rooms. Mr and Mrs Gill are really kind people, David, who does maintenance, was extremely helpful and always made sure we had everything we needed. My only suggestion for improvement is an extra garbage pail for the room and USB ports to charge phones and tablets. Other than those 2 things everything else was just right. We will be back again in the future.

I stayed here for the weekend for my wedding. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and soundproof 😉 We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were so kind and bought us flowers to congratulate us. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go and it was lovely to have a comfortable bed waiting for us when we got back. 10/10 would stay again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Stayed at 7 nights stay during my trip to Niagara falls. This place is family friendly and is slightly away from the main place of attraction but the owner of this place was kind and accommodative. The rooms were cozy enough for a nights stay and the mattresses were comfortable. Would suugest parking the vehicle in the hotel and go to falls or down the street by walk, as parking is expensive and spaces are limited. Would definitely recommend this place.

Decent motel. Clean room, spacious and affordable. They have light breakfast (cereals, bread, milk and coffee) included on the room rate. Not to bad for a short stay. And oh btw, it's about 10mins walk to Clifton Hill. Nearest food chain is McDonald's and Subway.

  • 3/5 Mark D. 10 years ago on Google
Nobody ever does an average review. It's always the horror stories. It's not a 5 star hotel but for the price and location it was alright. I'd give it an "OK" at best. Don't expect to be wowed. We arrived early (6am) to check the place out before heading out to do something we needed to do anyway. We asked when we would be able to check in and were told 3pm which seemed a bit late too me but it didn't matter since we weren't going to be back until then anyway. Besides, we could just spend our time around Clifton Hill if we got back early. Thermostat was easy to use and worked which was good because it was about 40-50F when we got there. Nice digital readout. Paid $50 a night on memorial day weekend. The room was larger than expected. Two Queen/Twin beds (they were comfortable sleeping two each). The sheets seemed clean enough and the beds were made. Later we sort of messed with the sheets and it seemed like they might have put a clean one over. The one below wasn't dirty but it had small things around it about 1/4 - 1/2 size of a rice grain. They weren't bugs but it made us uneasy. TV's are kind of old but you're able to watch if you want. You're minutes away from Niagara Falls, why are you staying in your hotel room watching TV anyway? Bathroom was an average bathroom. Sink took a while to get hot water going. Shower was a bit quicker so that was good. We were given one small bar of soap and one small "facial moisturizing soap" but used both of them as soap. There were three kind of small towels and three washcloths. We stayed for two nights but did not get our room cleaned or get extra soap/towels. We did sleep past noon the first night though. Maybe we needed to ask them to clean after we left? There were only two of us so it didn't bother us. There is a pool but it was too cold to swim the days we were there so I can't say anything about it.

Overall the stay was ok but for the money spent for a 3 night stay, I expected more. Had to get the room key redone daily in order to get back into our room. + Great walking distance to Niagara and Clifton Hills. Owners are friendly and pleasant. Room was dated but cleaner than previous hotel. Has a pool - Very thin toilet paper No remote for the tv No cable tv Pool area not well kept Breakfast was toast (not worth paying extra for or even having it included) Tub fills with water during shower

Red Carpet new ownership.and I truly hope they had fixed the place up i stayed in 2013 . My stay was quiet good, no major issues, everything was tidy no bed bugs...3 queen size beds in one room perfect for the price. but the entire place is run down and needs a little loving. 5 minutes walking from Niagara Clifton Hills. 3 queen size beds in one room perfect for the price.

Stayed this past weekend for a girlfriend's birthday. We received amazing rates for the two night stay and we booked 4 rooms. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. They even brought us two bags of ice. Absolutely, no complaints. Now for those of you who are expecting a brand new hotel, this is definitely not brand new and up to date. Yes, the furniture is mismatched.... and the rooms didn't get as cold as we would have liked them to be. However, that being said, the hotel was clean and that was the most important part. Who cares if the furniture didn't match. we would be staying again in the future...

The whole place has mould, bedbugs, silverfish, ants, and roaches, they do nothing but harass their customers, and promise to fix things tomorrow por give an excuse. I lived there through the winter and had my power and heat cut multiple times, even though I was never even a day late on rent. Both of the owners and the "maintenance man" Dave have a history of assaulting customers, and the police always take their side even when it's on camera.

☆Pros☆ •Location was good for us. •We were able to extend our stay. •Almost all the long-term tenants were great. •The family of owners were kind (to us). •We got our deposit back. ☆Cons☆ •Very expensive considering issues. •We had to clean everything. •We had to buy a cover and a sleeping bag. •The wifi is terrible. •We got hacked twice during our stay. •Many of the rooms had bed bugs or maintenence problems so prepare to switch rooms. ☆To Owners☆ •All customers should be treated equally, without segregation. •Fair wage equals fair labour. •Cleaning standards need priority. •Buy Mattress Covers and Launder after every stay. •To be kind, I did not include pictures.

The rooms were clean, no bugs. We had to request soap which was supposed to come with the room. We had a heart shaped hot tub but no stopper for the water; again, had to ask for it. The maintenance guy was a big help!

For the price, you definitely get what you pay for. We stayed for 2 nights and had an amazing night's sleep in the comfy bed! Very spacious room with a microwave plus TV (we didn't use it, so I cannot speak about whether it worked). Perfect location, just 10 or so minutes walk down to the falls and main tourist area. The only issue we had was that there was an issue with the hot water being quite annoying as it was coming and going. However, based on how helpful the receptionist was to us, I'd assume it would be fixed hassle-free. Currently aren't serving breakfast so don't expect it!

  • 2/5 Dom H. 1 year ago on Google
The staff seemed friendly however it was very dirty place. There were old mattresses and furniture all over the parking area which I assume means they have a bedbug problem. The room was not very clean lots of hair in the sink and bathtub and stains on the pillows. Decent for a last minute booking I suppose but I would definitely not stay here again.

This is the second time I've stayed here. The first was right after the current owners took ownership. The second was mid December 2022. I was so impressed by how much work they had done to improve the rooms. You can really see that they are making an effort to make this a stay that people will tell others about. For the price it's an absolute STEAL. The rooms are clean, if you need anything they are always a phone call away. They deserve your business!

This place was OK! for the price. But the service was ordinary. After one week this still hold my deposite from my credit card! We ask the manager for more pillows the first night and we never got them! The maintenance guy was very sweet and gental !

(Translated by Google) Personally I liked my room despite the fact that the exterior of the hotel looked neglected and old. But the room with comfortable bed, new bedspread and tasteful. Cleansed. Low WIFI signal and little selection of TV channels. I highly recommend it. (Original) En lo personal me agrado mi habitacion a pesar de que el exterior del hotel lucia descuido y viejo.
