First of all, it’s not a Hotel BUT it is Motel! As per my commitment, I went in, paid for 4 days but when they took us through the stairs, we notice, it’s not clean and later went to our room and we found smell is coming from carpets and bathroom was just okay. However, my wife and two of her sisters not feeling well as soon they were in the room! Myself and my nephew, when we went there website, the room looks so good with jacuzzi in the bathroom but in actuality, there was No jacuzzi. The way the pictures they posted in their website, anybody could be attracted by it and from the room there was no background of Niagara Falls which they showed in from the room which we booked. Lastly, they did not inform us while booking that’s there was a parking charge but we did paid. But later on when we came down to office to return the key, they only gave us credit for 4 days parking charge. But As per the booking invoice says if you do cancel, then they will deduct one day room charge only. We would appreciate it if they honor their commitment since we did not stayed a single night there! This is our opinions only and others might defer from it.

Pictures online look nothing like the actual rooms there. My boyfriend and I had booked it for the weekend and we ended up leaving when we saw the room. They wanted to give us another room but even that room was dirty. Bed sheets are not clean, I also saw hair. It didn't look like they washed it from the previous people. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there's bed bugs. The bath tub looked disgusting. Its attractive cuz of the cheap price, but I would not stay here even for free. I have no problem with an old place, but I do have a problem with dirty. And this place is nasty.

Pet friendly budget motel in prime location! We chose this place because we brought the family dogs on vacation and wanted an inexpensive place within walking distance to the attractions. The furniture's a little old, but the bed was confortable and clean. The staff is professional and warm, for us it was a family feeling and we will be coming back. To others complaining, this is a 2-star motel. We've stayed in 2, 3, 4 and 5-star hotels before and understand the difference in expectations.

WARNING DO NOT STAY Literal FECAL MATTER on the back of our pillow in the SECOND room they took us to because the first room was unacceptable. The place is infested with rats bigger than my dog. The chairs in the room were shredding and just covered with fabric. The photos online are not of the actual hotel and they admit that. They will not refund your money after you pay. Other guests we saw were sleeping in their cars. The pool is not open and based on other reviews we have seen has not been open for years. This place used to be the old black stone hotel but they changed the name due to a bad reputation. Rooms were filthy dirty, walls were visibly soiled. Men at the front desk are rude and intimidating. Told us “good luck finding another place and no refunds.” We cut our losses and left, and paid more money to stay at another hotel. The only upside is location, but this place is NOT SAFE. Parking lot full of homeless and junkies. Once we arrive they charged us more money then we originally agreed to pay. This place is a scam. TV doesn’t work. RUN If you have a pet with you, we suggest the Old Stone Inn instead. That is we’re we ended up going to.

If I could give this a half star, I would. First, let's just say the location is great! Second, check-in was okay. The room smells like chemicals. That's the least of it. You have bed linen that has holes, stains, and rooms out of date (holes in walls, half painted areas with putty still not sanded, chairs with holes). Microwaves that have cockrochs in them. Bathroom and bed areas are full of them. Pictures included! A one night stay at this place isn't worth $131 bucks. I hope people choose wisely and make a healthier choice than to stay here.

I booked through Expedia for one night during the long weekend in August. It was 200$. My boyfriend decided we should spend 2 nights in Niagara, since we were going to be traveling several hours to get there, and booked us the next night at the same hotel - his was 350$. When we got there to check in, the office was a complete mess, but the manager was professional and polite. We explained how we booked, and asked if it was possible to keep the same room, instead of having to check out and back in. We were told we could, yes, but it would have been an additional 200$. The reason I go into details about the cost is because of the photos that come with this review. I cannot believe that 2 nights in this room would have been $550 to 750$. The first thing I noticed was the smell of mold; musty, dirty. Disgusting. There was dark stains on the floor, upon entry, that I first thought was blood, honestly. Stains and cobwebs on the chairs- obviously not properly cleaned or maintained- they absolutely should not be in that room as is. Water damage in the bathroom, so bad that it had lifted the tiles on the outside of the bathroom wall near the bed. Black mold surrounding the entire tub; not to mention that it looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in ages. Tiles torn, ceiling tiles water damaged, the heater duct taped to the wall... Honestly, I have never been so appalled by a hotel in my life. I don't know how the manager handed me that key with a straight face. We obviously canceled our stay there after seeing the state of the property/room. The manager was obviously understanding when I advised we needed to cancel our reservations, so that was appreciated. It's not his fault, he just works there.

Its just about what you would expect for the price. I appreciate this motel for the fact that its cheap. Besides, why does it matter if I'm only sleeping there? The walls have been painted over a few times and the furniture within the room mostly looks like it was bought from garage sales or something similar. The only consistency between all OYO motels is the lack of consistency between their rooms. If you want luxury, look elsewhere. What I liked about this place was that it was a 5 minute walk to the falls. And literally every other attraction around the area. I used my car once in the 5 days I spent there. Also worth mentioning, the gentleman that helped me at the hotel office was incredibly kind and allowed me to pick between two rooms. That's all I got! 6/10 place.

Too expensive for an old and not that clean. Online photos are fake. You meed to invest in modernizing it, get better door locks, replace broken toilet seat, new tv remote, clean and unburnt blanket, a fridge. I am disappointed. Sadly.

Will never stay here again. We asked for a room with a queen and were given a room with two doubles. Room pictures online were not what they looked like in person. Bathroom floor had broken tiles which was covered up with a bathroom mat. Bathroom vanity was held up with a sawed off table leg. Flies buzzing around the room and lights didn’t work. Room totally out of date - felt like walking into the 80s. Looks like rooms are fitted with second hand furniture. Save your time and money. Management is not cooperative when approached with concerns.

This hotel should be removed from the web. If I could give a negative rating, I would. The room pics are fake and for another hotel. The rooms at this hotel are very, very, very, outdated, some of the beds are on the floor, and the decor wasn't pleasant. They should remove the word "hotel" from the name because it's not a hotel. It requires tremendous updating of both the rooms and lobby. My family and I refused to stay there and ended up paying for a different hotel that night. If they asked me to recommend this hotel to others, I wouldn't. In this case, I truly got what I paid for as the price and location were good....just everything else sucked! I've requested a FULL refund from the hotel and Priceline.

Never ever stay in this hotel. We family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed here this month. This hotel not even worth for 1 star..Below are the issues (1st of all, you won't get the room what they posted in their site) 1) Carpet smell 2) There is big hole nearby AC 3) NO heaters in daytime 4) Washroom is worst then public toilets 5) No fridge, No microovans. 6) We can hear neighbour room talks easily

This was a very interesting stay! The first room we got the bed was on the floor and it was very dirty, we then asked for another room as the room I booked online looked nothing like it. The second room had duck tap on the wall, moldy food, holes in the doors and tape hanging off the walls. We ended up changing rooms 5 times. The staff are friendly but the quality is horrible for 100$ a night I rather pay more to stay somewhere else

Spent a couple of nights there and I was pleased. For those complaining, you get what you pay for in a sense. I had a great time and I didn’t see any rats, I didn’t see any fecal matter or had to deal with any strange smell. Very decent . Would certainly book there again if back in the area

Location is good and that’s all I can say that’s good about this place! Booked for the weekend and didn’t even stay one night! Disgusting rooms Stained rugs And rats Sooooo many rats! The stair case further away from the office has garbage cans at the bottom of the stairs, there was over 15 rats inside the garbage can, and 1 ran up the stairs infront of me

Vincent and his staff were very helpful and accommodating! Our room was spotless and comfortable. So close to Clifton hill so no need to move our car all weekend! Staying here on the Canada long weekend was the best decision we made! Prices were amazing, we will be back!!! Great job Vincent and staff you guys are fantastic!

Close to everything we wanted to explore. Neil from maintenance provided great service, which we appreciated! Wasn't impressed with the service provided by the girl working the front desk. She was more interested in her phone and did not seem to care when we mentioned our bathroom wasn't very clean. We met a gentleman while on vacation who was looking for a room. After taking a look at our room, he was OK with the bathroom not being clean as he was just looking for a place to sleep. When he spoke to the same girl at the front desk to book a room, she again was more interested in her phone and had asked him to help her fix it instead of booking a room for him.

We got catfished. The pictures of the rooms loo nothing like the actual rooms. We booked a room with a king bed and instead were given a room with two double beds. The front door had previously been kicked in. There was all sorts of trash outside the entrance along with rats the size of a cat. The sink was held up with a wooden table leg and the window in the bathroom had been smashed and “fixed” with masking tape. The light switch for the room was ripped out of the wall and left hanging and didn’t work. This place is advertised as having free parking but that’s not the case. It is only $7 per night BUT you aren’t guaranteed to have a parking space. Upon arrival we were asked to pay a $400 deposit on top of the $400 we already paid for the room for the weekend, we refused and they settled on $50. As usual the “hotel” provided a small bottle of shampoo and conditioner, ours happened to be used already. The one good thing is the AC unit worked well.

There were rats in the parking lot, bugs in the sink, several centipede type bugs in the tub and the tub floor was squishy. It was like standing on a water bed...I almost fell out of the shower because the tub floor shifts around. We had 2 rooms, both tubs were the same. When you stand in the tub, water squirts out of the side onto the bathroom floor. No washcloths anywhere on the property, even though we requested them twice. We ended up buying some at Walmart. No soap. No housekeeping. The "housekeeper" makes a quick appearance every now and then carrying a 5 gallon bucket covered in paint, with dirty rags and cleaning supplies that they clearly do not use. Luckily, I always bring trash bags and hand soap when I travel. The walls were filthy, the bathroom was disgusting, and the furniture looked like they found it on the side of the road. The beds were broken, dirty, disgusting and had no frames..they were on box springs sitting on the floor. One of the rooms had curtains that were ripped so that only the outside edges were hanging. We fixed them enough to cover the windows. Staff couldn't be more unhelpful if they tried. Any time you asked a question or had a problem we were told "we have to call the owner". One of the rooms required 2 people to unlock; one to use both hands to turn the key and one to body slam the door to open it. The rooms had broken lampshades, no outlet covers, non working light switches and air conditioners that were held in the wall with tape and plastic. Half the rooms appear to be occupied by people that live there full time, one of which goes thru the trash cans outside regularly. The blankets were so gross that we slept with just the sheet, which was also not great. There was no fridge or microwave even though online it lists them as being in the room. They finally brought us a fridge. We opened it, and there were 2 gallon size bags of old watermelon in the fridge and some food in the freezer. No ice maker or soda machine. That wasn't a big deal because I could be dehydrayed to the point of turning to dust and I wouldn't eat or drink anything that came out of that place. There are jacuzzi suites listed on the sign. I know they do in fact have jacuzzis because after several occasions of hearing what I thought was 8 Harleys idling in the parking lot, I realized it was actually a jacuzzi somewhere in the building, rattling and shaking the entire block. The pool is not in operation, which based on the area around the pool is probably a good thing. We booked our rooms 7 months in advance and the photos online didn't look bad. When you arrive, the outside is pretty bad. Check in was absolutely ridiculous and the rooms are completely disgusting. I realize it's a cheaper hotel, but that's no excuse to be barely above uninhabitable. I would never recommend staying at this place.

Location is everything! Incredibly close to all the action and it's great that you can park your car and walk to anything around Clifton Hill. You get what you pay for in terms of the rooms. There are a few easy fixes that would amp the place right up, such as fixing dings in the walls or dirt in obvious places. It's got so much potential but hopefully they can put a tiny bit of work in to bring it up to par. The workers were very nice! The lady working during the evenings gave us lots of water bottles when we asked and the men that greeted us were kind enough too.

The room was disgusting. Filthy… we arrived with a toddler and we booked this hotel because of the pool, and location. Pool doesn’t work and there is not even a sign about it . The guy at the front desk said maybe in September. We got our key and opened the door even my toddler said “ I won’t take off my shoes “ it was horrible. They even had duck tape around the bed … the guy came and said they will send the cleaner and she will vacuum the carpet . I said No don’t bother we won’t stay . The rules said non smoking room . Their is cigarettes burn all over on the bedsheets. We canceled our reservation and checked out immediately. No way we would stay a place like this …

The rooms are nice, for the price at least. Definitely not something from a well-known, established brand, but it did the job of giving me a place to stay. The room had an empty roll of toilet paper when I tried to use it for the first time, which was not a nice experience.

Booked a jacuzzi room for New Years. Jacuzzi did not work, when I went to the front desk to complain was told I would get $20 off my room and that I should be happy I paid a great price. Please explain to me why no one called me to let me know that the jacuzzi did not work before I arrived? Oh I know why because once it was time for me to get my room it was too late to cancel. Still have not seen the $20 come off my bill yet!!

You get what you pay for. If you're coming here, you're not going to be getting a 3 or even 4 star hotel. And it's a motel. There's a fridge, smart tv and very old style beds that look gross and furnishings. The bathroom is dated And the sink is held up with a piece of wood. The floors are missing parts ..Aside from the 1.5 rating I would give for the room, the man at the front desk was extremely nice and made sure we had extra towels and made sure everything was working in our room When we couldn't get the TV to work. The location is great and the staff are very nice but I wouldn't return for another night. We spent less on the motel and more put at Clifton Hills which is a great concept for someone who wants to save money and is just looking for a cheap room, nothing fancy. Be warned, there are lots of junkies and homeless people around. We had random people knocking on our door in the middle of the night. It's not a good idea to bring children here...

Checked out right away the moment we saw the room!! 1. So I booked 3 Non Smoking King rooms, but what was given was a Smoking Queen rooms! The picture posted on their site was way different to the actual room you are getting. I showed the pictures I booked in all of the 3 rooms and got told “ oh its only a stage picture “ !! 2. Beware of Bedbugs!!!! Bed bugs are all over , seen some eggs and died bugs at the end corners of the mattress. PLUS+ when i was looking at the front desk computer , the guy(maybe the owner) was searching about bed bugs control for the hotel! 3. The bed itself smells like it wasn’t washed for how many use, there are stain and the blankets has holes from the cigarette. 4. Washroom- its even more worst, broken and moldy tiles. It smells like a dirty mop thats never been washed. It only has 1 toilet paper and only 2 towels for each room. 5. Air conditioner is working it just looks weird cause it looks like it was falling off its place and was only duct taped to the wall ! Overall, based on the 3 rooms I’ve got, its Terrible! smelly and dusty. Its a 0 star. Tho, the location is okay somewhat convenient.

Overall impression is terrible. I believe I didn't get a renovated room, so that was the worst place I have ever stayed in my entire life. And I am not picky at all. Dirty walls, holes in the walls, sigarette burns all over the sheets, bed covers, curtains. No bedside table and no plug sockets near the bed. The only power outlet I found in the toilet. Super old air conditioning which was effective only at night when it wasn't so hot outdoor. Reception guy was absolutely indifferent, I guess he does realize what that place is. The only benefit is location, it's really close to all attractions. If you don't want to regret, I don't recommend this motel, this is -1 star motel.Never again..

Rooms were alright. Not the Ritz, but it's a diamond in the rough. Location is perfect for clifton hill. Guest services upon check in was friendly and polite. He got us a fridge from another room. Bathroom shower has great pressure, but it's dated and dark. Window didn't completely close maybe 1cm open. Had new Ac and heating appliance, new floors bed was comfortable. Room had an electric fireplace. Over all for an affordable stay I recommend but if you are boujee find somewhere else.
