I booked a 55min massage with friends over the Easter long weekend. We used the hot tub and dry sauna prior to our massage. The pool and hot tub were busy; sauna was empty. I got a massage by Jason but it definitely wasn't 55 minutes long! The massage was relaxing and he worked on the knots in my upper back. My only complaint is the fact that I waited for the massage (wasn't late nor did I take long undressing) and it wasn't the full 55 minutes as advertised.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel and had massages and facials done here. Honestly sad to say this place truly disappointed. During our couple massage the male massage therapist doing my massage clearly had a cold and his nose was pouring out and kept coughing the whole time. The worst part is I could hear his nose dripping and heard him wipe his nose with his hand and continue my massage without changing his gloves. Absolutely grossed me out. Other than that the massage itself was wonderful. Facials however were not worth the money. All they did was put some cream and oil on our face and let a mask sit on our face which we were sitting there for 15-20 minutes at the end just waiting for the mask to sit. Felt rushed and definitely could put cream and oil on my face at home. Nothing special about it. Website also said they will consult with you and see your problem areas of the skin to customize the facials and that didn't happen either. Over $600 later and definitely not impressed.

The Five Lakes Spa Aveda at DoubleTree is amazing. I had a body treatment, I think it was the Aveda Rosemary Mint Body Wrap and a Customized facial. When you walk in you get a burst of refreshing scent. Relaxes all your senses. The staff are amazing. My esthetician was very nice and calm. She explained me the steps of both treatments before she got started. During the body treatment, She gave me a relaxing head massage while I had the body mask on. It also included a steam shower which was honestly the most relaxing thing ever. Then she did my facial and used products according to my skin type and concerns I had. She did an amazing job. The esthetician was nice enough to have the products we spoke about at reception when I went to pay. Needless to say, I was sold by the friendly manner the staff treated me and answered my countless questions. Would definitely recommend whoever visits DoubleTree at Niagara to check out Five lakes spa Aveda!

Pro: The spa smells amazing and they have pretty good products. Cons: 1. The water glasses and tea cups were dirty; I poured 3 different cups of water and there were white flakes floating in every one of them. 2. the staff could be a friendlier, especially considering you’re half naked and spending a nice amount of money. 3. My massage was not good. The massage therapist was all over the place; I felt like I was an experiment or practice customer.

Had a wonderful experience at this spa for a girls getaway. We time at the pool and hot tub prior to our spa services. The pool area is immaculate and well kept. The pool could have been slightly warmer but not complaining. I had a massage and a facial done and i left feeling like a million bucks ... the massage and facial were amazing .. i reccomend this spa if youre staying in the niagara area and need some r&r

My bestie and I came to the spa for a relaxing spa day and Mara and Sam our Spa therapists were AMAZING!!! From the minute we walked in to the time we left. I would recommend this spa over another other spa in Niagara Falls or Niagara on the Lake. Thanks Ladies!!!😊

Came in today with my mother from Toronto who celebrated her birthday yesterday. She got a facial and I got a massage by Scott I believe was the gentleman's name. First off the spa itself has a very nice cozy and homey feeling that feels very pleasant and inviting. Everyone is also very nice and helpful and my massage in particular was a total 10 out of 10. Very relaxing. My mother said she was very happy with her facial too. Only little thing was that because of the fact that the spa is a bit smaller than your common spa the lockers are a bit small but again minor detail compared to all the good you get from this place. Will definitely be visiting this spa again

My boyfriend and I recently went for a couples massage at Aveda for my birthday. Though we couldn't use the pool area thanks to COVID guidelines, we still really enjoyed our experience. The staff were all very friendly and the massage itself was wonderful - one of the best I've gotten in a while actually. We will definitely be coming back!

Massage was fine. We've been here many times for the experience. We've always been given the robe and slippers so we don't have to get redressed to use the pool or if you wanna shower off. We drive from Stoney Creek for the experience. We can get a massage from plenty of places. Needless to say I'm not happy and don't plan on returning if it was for free.

First time having my nails done, chose the French manicure, after having to wait all afternoon because the booking was messed up and you didn't let anyone know. And the person on the desk wasn't bothered at all My finger was cut, it was swollen and painful to the touch 3-4 days after, the whole experience was painful infact It really didn't look good at all, and then it started the lift off in a whole pieces, was not worth the money at all I was the last one out and my daughter had already paid my money and I was shouted at to get back and pay..not impressed at all

Spa smells amazing and you feel refreshed as soon as you walk in. The duet massage was very worth it and we both felt relaxed and recharged afterwards. We drifted off to sleep multiple times during the massage. The staff were kind and genuine people. While there was a booking mishap, the staff did everything they could to rectify the situation, which to me definitely deserves five stars. Thank you Five Lakes Spa!

Overall a disappointing experience. I had called about 4 months early to book a bachelorette party for various spa treatments (massages, pedicures, manicures) and to use the pool. After calling, the spa called me three times with changes! I understand things happen, but I was booking an appointment for 7 girls and wasn't overly impressed that they kept trying to change things. They told us they only had 2 masseuses present, instead of 3 originally promised, then tried to change the start time of our appointment to 10:30 am instead of 11. When trying to change the appointment time, I told them unfortunately no, we had people coming from out of town and couldn't make it there that early. We arrived at the scheduled time, granted we should've been maybe 5 minutes earlier, but a bunch of the girls were coming from out of town and we ended up getting there right on time. The woman at the desk insisted our appointment for one of the pedicures was supposed to start at 10:30, even though I had refused the time change on the phone, then proceeded to be quite rude. I showed her the confirmation times that the spa had sent via email on my phone, she proceeded to tell us "well you still should've been here at 10:30 to sign the forms" as though it was somehow our fault for arriving at our scheduled time. We signed the forms in approximately 2 minutes. After some of the spa treatments had started, I went back out to the front desk to ask about the 10:30 pedicure appointment and when we would be receiving it. To which the lady said "I don't know if we can fit that in, since it was at 10:30"... after showing her my confirmation for 11 on my phone!! Eventually they were able to fit in the appointment, but not after leaving one of the girls sitting there for almost an hour after her appointment was supposed to start. Disappointing given we were the only ones at the spa, and had spent well over $1000 from 7 different spa treatments for the morning.

Jessie is an amazing masseuse! I've had hundreds of massages and she would be one of the top massage therapists I've had. I wish the salon was closer to home!

Messed up my reservation after assuring me they would have enough staff for a party of 8. Appt was supposed to be 2-4...we didn't get out til almost 6 because they didnt let us know they messed up the reservation.. My friend forgot to remove her nail polish and the girl said it was no problem then turned around and rolled her eyes because she didnt know i was standing behind her. Just wasnt worth the money when we felt like an inconvenience. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the bride actually had a good time. I would not go again.

I asked the massage therapist to focus on my legs and feet. I told her I just got back from a long vacation, and that's where I needed massaged the most. She said OK and then ignored my legs and feet for the first 40 mins. Rubbed my back in the same place for way too long that it startef to feel like sandpaper. Thankfully, this massage is covered by my benefits and not out of pocket.

The RMTs Scott and Rileigh are super and brought me great relief in my tense muscles. The spa is clean, well organized, has free tea, an awesome shower room, and access to the pool/hot tub/sauna. It's an awesome day trip from Toronto - take the train, pay a cheaper price for your amazing massage than you would in the city, enjoy a hot sauna and a shower with Aveda products. Blissful!
