Omg what a hidden gem! This place is amazing! The burger was, amazing and ginormous , the roll was like a homemade bread loaf and the tater tots were delicious and crispy. The beer selection is great and the waitress was very nice! We will definitely return.

Out of all the pubs in North Tonawanda this is definitely the most welcoming and accommodating. The outdoor patio offers a bowl of water to all those with paws. The burgers are always cooked perfectly and are so large I can guarantee you won't be able to finish it. The steak sandwich is my favorite. The staff is attentive and personable; Alyssa is excellent, remembering us and our order each time.

The local watering hole for classic americana and irish fare. The wing flavors are amazing, just wished they were slightly crisper.

The food is good here from what I can eat of it which isn't a lot. Lol. They don't have gluten free options really and I had the wings and they are good. I asked the server her favourite and she told me and I said if they were gluten free go for it. If the sauce wasn't then medium was fine. She brought them and said the kitchen didn't know for sure if the sauce was gluten free and didn't have time to check so she brought med to be safe. We sat on The patio which is nice. I would go back. Overall it is OK. I have gone to better places.

Dwyers has been one of our favorite restaurants for years and it never lets me down. The burgers are massive and delicious. They have a black belt in tater tot fu. Their stinger is genre redefining. One of a kind grilled cheese. Absolutely come here.

After a day on the boat we decided to pop over to NT and find a place to eat. It was a beautiful Saturday evening and everywhere was super busy. Since we did not have a reservation a few places couldn’t even seat us that evening. It was a bit of a wait here too but there was a band so we decided to come to JP Dwyer’s. The restaurant is pretty big. Lots of tables inside and they can accommodate groups. They have a large outdoor patio as well with a good amount of seating. It’s definitely a historic building and divey kind of bar. First of all the service was not good. It took a long time to get menus, waters and finally drinks. Trying to get refills was even harder. Once we were able to order the food took a ridiculous amount of time. We waited well over an hour. We ordered very standard bar type food. The server barely came back to check on us. People who came after us got their food before us. We asked the server about the food status at one point and she said it wasn’t ready and she would check. 15 minutes later the food came. Some was hot and fresh. Other items were cold, one item was not edible. I understand it’s busy and places are understaffed but we would have rather gotten the food as it was cooked so people could eat their food hot. It didn’t seem like the server cared much or was paying attention to when the food was up. My pizza logs were hot and tasty. The sweet potato fries were cold. I did love that they were shoestring and still very crispy. They would have been even better hot. My significant other had the steak sandwich and he said it was fine. Other friends had the wings and said they were very good. Another friend had a burger which came out burnt, like had black char on one side. It was really obvious and the kitchen should have caught this and not sent it out. It took so long to get our food we ended up having to drive the boat home in the dark. Not a great situation. Seems we came on a bad night. We did enjoy the band and people watching. If you come to NT in the summer on a weekend make a reservation for the place you really want to go to avoid this kind of thing.

Pretty epic burger at a relatively cheap price. Service was a little slow, but the place was busy. Fruit flies were a nuisance.

Literally rats running around the building that they Nicknamed “patches” from the deep Fryer burning him and they also will serve and send out food that’s going bad like chicken and corned beef and also they leave chicken wings cooked in a bowl they don’t even cook them fresh when you order them I would eat there at your own risk… look at the fryer oil

Food is great, the wait staff hustles but there is not enough of them. They could use new tables and stools for outside. The outdoor bar stools are falling apart, and the ones that aren't are very uncomfortable. Their choice of live bands are great. Just saw Buster Knuckles for their Dwyer's debut. They rocked the house. Dwyer's was unprepared for the crowd that they drew. Not enough employees working.

Service took 1 hour....waitress was rude...had too ask 3 times for the same thing .... then at the end when I paid I had asked for my receipt she threw in in the trash...then I told her to go get it, she said for what ...then she had the nerve to say her tip was a $1.90 she was mad that's why she threw my receipt away.. you don't talk to a customer like that. I was nice to her...I was with my friend and she heard the whole conversation...I only spent 15.00 dollars...and my steak wrap was small compared to my friends steak wrap. My French fries were so salty.. they made me new fries and the batch Of french fries that they brought out to me was so small and barely nothing.... Unbelievable... Then another waitress comes out putting her two cents In the conversation.... I told her mind her own business... She was not there when I was talking to my waitress.... I don't need young kids getting smart with a sixty year old lady..... Very disappointed and unprofessional...

Bad experience starting with unsanitary conditions at the booth table as your hands and arms stuck to the table top. Fish Fry was the hardest beer battered crust ever as it made the fish appear twice the size. Plastic serving utensils was another bad sign as it could not penetrate the heavily crusted beer battered fish. The fish overlapped the paper sheet it was placed on, onto the unsanitary plastic basket they referred to as a dish. Not recommended for anything other than alcohol sealed in a bottle. Our server received a well deserved tip. The cook should be fired. We will NEVER return for food. Check the other reviews that were placed by customers, other than their friends good reviews.

We went here to eat before going to a show at the Riviera. Nice beer selection, good pub food and good service. Big shout out to our waitress Madison. Excellent job. Great place to stop at before and after a show.

If there is a show next door don't bother going here. We arrived at 515pm on a friday. We got seated at a tiny table for 2 by the bathrooms while the rest of the seating was mostly empty. We were told that seating was for customers going to the show. Food was just okay. Service was good. We left right away after we finished.

Busy place on a Friday evening. Stopped in before seeing a show next door. There was a limited amount of standing room so we didn't stay too long. But the food looked good and there was plenty of staff help.

We were visiting the area from Northern KY. The food was amazing. Despite being busy, we had a short wait for our table. The hostess was so kind and efficient, in spite of being so tied up with lots to do! Would visit again! Delicious food, generous portions. Only thing I’d suggest is having a few chairs out for people need to wait for a table.

Supporting local businesses is important to us. We often visit these smaller establishments for our little dates. We brought the kids today. We ordered wings, appetizers and drinks. The wings were cooked perfectly. The garlic Parmesan wings were not good at all though. (Picture attached) they just covered them in grated Parmesan cheese. The medium wings, General tso wings, soft pretzels and mozzarella sticks were great. Our server... we ordered appetizers which came out with the wings. My son ordered a root beer, which I believe you should let the customer know it's in a bottle, not fountain. And there was an extra charge not disclosed on the check. Also, she never mentioned any specials. But, she told the people behind us all about them. And had we heard them before eating our food, we would have ordered them. In conclusion, if you go, the wings really were good with the exception of the garlic Parmesan ones. Get wings. And just ask questions of the server since she may not be very friendly. Also, cash only which is also not disclosed.

Dwyers medium wings and hot raspberry were really good and flavorful, but neither had any heat. Fish was also good as was the seasoning on the fries

Was warned about the current state of service by others prior to going but unfortunately i did not listen. Thought because we came in at 430pm ot would be easy to get a ta le and a quick sandwich. Well we got the table quick but quickly became a joke while Waiting for our server. Only 2 other tables in this place and 6 servers that rather talk to each other than help their tables. Food was good but waiting 20 mins for ketchup,a drink, the bill making a sandwich take a hour and half not good.

I stopped in tonight after having dinner down the street. It said that they were open until 2 AM online. I walked in at 10:20 PM to grab a beer after dinner. There were several people sitting at the bar and the employee bartending immediately said, “we’re closed”. I don’t expect them to stay open until 2 AM on a Sunday. But it was 10:20, again, with several people at the bar. They need to get their google hours updated!

Food was great and priced reasonably. However, be prepared to wait a long time and the service is not the greatest. Went with my family of 5 (wife, 3 kids aged 9,8,3) arrived at 5:15. Was told 30 min wait which turned into an hour. Sat down and waiting another 20 mins until a waitress showed up. Ordered food and waited another 45 mins for appetizer and then 30 more until our food got there. I was told that there was a slight delay but, it shouldn’t be a problem because a lot of people had just left. Food was hot and yummy, just took forever to come out. Left at 8:30, with tired miserable kids. Waitress never asked how our food was, or asked if we needed anything. Hopefully they can straighten this out.

I’m giving a four star but only because my husband and really like the bar tender Scott. He’s so welcoming and always seems to serve everyone in a timely fashion. In fact the times I’ve been here and he’s not working it’s seems like everything is off. Food is hit or miss here. The female bar tenders are not pleasant the one curly hair woman Santana or whatever he name is seems to always have an attitude. Friday we were there and the wings were horrible. Waited over an hour and then got our wings and then had to send them back to wait even longer for new ones that then tasted over cooked. Saturday night we came back and our food came out and waited on the rack for over 20 mins. The woman serving us at had a terrible attitude like she expected us to eat cold wings and fries sitting for 20 mins. We had to send those back too and wait again. They did taste great when we got them though. This place definitely needs to get some workers with better attitudes and better personalities. Overall Most of the time the food is good and when Scott and Katie are there it makes the times there even better because they have good attitudes.

Ate dinner here on their spacious patio, had a great time! Our server Kayla was super sweet, attentive, and made our experience wonderful! Tried their suicide/garlicparm/& Jameson BBQ wings...they were AWESOME! Good sized wings, smothered perfectly! Everything was great!

It was so cold in the dinning part of the restaurant I had to keep my coat on while eating. They have the front door opening all the time then they have the back door so customers can go to the patio. They stand there holding the door open and not once did a waitress say anything as it was pouring rain and hail blowing in. This was not my first time but I think it will be my last as the food came out hot but didn't stay hot as it was freezing in the restaurant tonight. Saturday April 16/22 Its a shame because they have had great hot food in the past.

Always a great time, whether it's dinner or just some drinks. Staff is always friendly, and will chat you up when they're not busy. Hot raspberry BBQ wings are life, get them.

👍👍 Wow, one of the best meals I have had in a long time, the steak with Brussels sprouts and mash could easily been offered in a high end dining restaurant and I would have been happy paying 3 times the price. It was amazing and Taylor greeted us and gave us excellent service.

😐 This is the 2nd time I got take-out, but first time I got non-BBQ food. We like to try various fish fry dishes from all around as well as a sampling of what who has. I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Sounded good, but it was a little overlooked where the chicken was dry and coating a little too...
