We were visiting town and wanted a local spot, not some chain in the tourism district, so we picked the Eager Beaver. Service was very good. We were seated promptly, our server was attentive and friendly. No mistakes were made in our orders, despite several modifications. Food was mostly good. Portions were very generous. The fried fish was fresh and hot, and the taco salad was delicious. My burger was cooked properly, and tasted great. All of our fries tasted like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for a while, though. None had that crisp, fresh feel that is so critical in a good French fry. My biggest concern was sanitation. The bathrooms were attended by swarms of flies. If you’ve ever worked in dining, you know that flies in the bathroom indicate flies in the kitchen, too. Our table was also a bit sticky. Some deep cleaning throughout is probably in order. Overall, a positive experience, but not one I feel the need to repeat during my time in Niagara.

I wish I took pictures. The food here NEVER disappoints! I also wish I got the name of our waitress because she was by far the best waitress we have ever had. She was a shorter woman, with short hair. 10/10 amazing service! My sister had pizza with cup and char pepperoni- she LOVED it I had a Buffalo chicken sandwich that was absolutely mouth watering. The fries tasted like fry truck fries and I think they're my favourite fries in the city.

I've been a patron of Eager Beaver for a while now. My family loves to support local, and we live just down the street. I was able to visit their patio on Saturday, June 19, 2021. There was a minor issue with my meal, and the staff handled it perfectly. I emailed as well, and received a reply on Sunday, Father's Day no less! Their customer service is awesome!!!!! A++++++ can't wait to go back.

Yesterday was the wife’s cheat day and she’d been craving fish and chips for two weeks now. We decided to grab from The Eager Beaver Eatery and Sports Bar. Previously we’d only ordered pizza and wings so this was a new order for it. We got the 1 piece fish and chips, garlic bread with cheese, and the straight up burger with poutine. The wife really liked the taste and portion size of her fish and fries. The gravy we added was REALLY good. The garlic bread and cheese was PERFECT and could have filled up on just that. I had the straight up burger and poutine. This was good but not perfect. My complaints are the bun of the burger is not strong enough for the size patty and ingredients given and that the poutine needed more gravy as it dried out by the time I got to the bottom. Overall it was great and with the exception of the burger would order again but just ask for more gravy on the poutine. Rating would be a 7/10 for this one.

Wife and I were looking for wings and sharing a Salad. Needed to get out of the tourist area and see some of the local environment. Even though it was very busy in the Eager Beaver, Taylor did an excellent job of looking after us. Wings were very good and crispy. Too many flavours to choose. The Greek Salad we ordered was super fresh and enough for 4 people. Prices were more reasonable and the atmosphere was great.

Great food and gargantuan portions, especially for the price. We'd seen been on the fence until we saw the reviews, but it was definitely worth the trip. If you loved Fine Kettle O Fish and want that same great taste, I recommend their fish and chips!

First time here, nicely surprised. The outside looked a little sketchy but inside was really nice. Good food, service and price.

This is a great, clean neighbourhood sports bar. It has some awesome weekday "dine-in" deals on wings, pizza and beer. It even had a jukebox and a few arcade games to pass the time. The wings aren't breaded but were tasty and well priced -- try their delicious "40 Creek BBQ" flavour! The staff were all super friendly as well.

Ya know....for being a "sports bar" which is what most people think it is....they're food has always been quite good. Their service has always been very good. The atmosphere is more of a bar atmosphere but it's a comfortable place to go and we've never been disappointed with anything. From food to service it's always been a good place to get a good meal.

My husband and I went for dinner tonight and all I can say is this place is amazing! Our server Tammy was top notch! Very sweet and very attentive. We started out with Spinach Dip. It came out piping hot and delicious! My husband had the Beaver burger which was huge! The meat was very moist and bun nice and soft. I had the best fish and chips anywhere! The fries were fresh cut and so good!! We will definitely be back an.recommend

Small place but good atmosphere…. Food was good but over cooked! Wings were really over done and hard to eat but sauces was good! Would try it again

My mother and I came here for dinner on a Friday night and it didn't seem to be very busy at the time. We were seated on the patio (as requested) and our server came out almost right away to take our drink order. We both had water to start while we discussed potential drink options. At the same time we ordered 1lb of wings as an appetizer. The wings tasted great but she took away our plate, with the vegetables on still on it, without even asking if we were finished. At that point we were ready to order, but she came and went so fast we didn't even have a chance to order. Approximately 20 minutes later our server finally came back to our table and I ordered a drink and the Nashville chicken. Instead of fries, I asked for a house salad. My mother ordered the fish and chips. Our server left and came back to our table after about 3 minutes saying that they don't know if the restaurant could substitute fries for a salad. I have never heard this before so I asked our server if they could please check again. Our server came back about 3 minutes later and said that they wouldn't be able to substitute because there is no button for it on the screen and that the dish comes that way. I should also mention at this point, our server did not bring out the drink I ordered. We waited another 10-15 minutes before our server brought me my drink. The food came shortly after and tasted okay, but I was definitely put off by the quality of service and the lack of accommodations for dietary restrictions from the restaurant. Needless to say, I will unfortunately not be coming back.

Not sure how to reply on here so I’ll just edit. If you checked the cameras you would have seen me ask the busboy for napkins because we got none with our messy wings and I waited way to long for the waitress to come around and ask but it never happened. I also asked for an extra honey garlic sauce which I never received. The person I was eating with needed a refill of water because the hot wings were hot. He ended up waiting 20+ minutes to get any. I completely understand when it’s busy you can’t be at the table every second but she had tended to her tables near us frequently, just not us. Food was good but experience ruined it.

Fantastic place for a meal , the patio or a beer at the bar. I ordered a basic pizza with a few toppings, and I was not disappointed it’s delicious. I also ordered the fish tacos and they are without a doubt the best ones I’ve ever had. Definitely going back.

Huge food done well. We were traveling and my son wanted to try poutine and this place came up. The menu says large portions, they are not kidding. The poutine was excellent, home cut fries, cheese curds and good gravy. It did not disappoint and was huge and fed 5 of us with a lot leftover and would order again. We had sandwiches and they were all two-meal big. They were all good and would order again. We had the steak sandwich, french-dip, chicken parm & buffalo chicken. They do not skimp. The waiter was excellent and wish I got his name and was so laid back and communicative as the power was out before we got there and kept us posted the whole time. The atmosphere was basic sports bar but clean. Prices seemed fair for the area and good for the amount of food. If I'm back in area would go again.

Food was over cooked. Dry. Server did not check in at all and we missed opportunities for more drinks which I wanted because of the food. While it looked the part, the food did not meet the rave reviews we've heard. The atmosphere was ok. The experience was not good enough for me to consider a second visit. Not sure the name of our server. But there was no interactions to have any discussion about the food. We were given our food. Then eventually a take out container, then another wait for the bill. As I mentioned previous, we were not checked in on. No raving came from us. I left the stars as an honest review, and did not leave comments to avoid any kind of negative back and forth as your initial response has now provoked. I have provided my comments now and will leave it at that.

Recommend the " Great Canadian Club Sandwich" Tasted great along with the crispy fries. Tammy our waitress was 👌 efficient. Very courteous and friendly as well. Definitely a must try if one's hungry.👍

A sports bar with great food? Yes please! Haven't been disappointed yet. Pizza is so tasty.

Edited to respond- Thank you for your response, it was Saturday night. We had mozzarella sticks and spinach dip which were inconsistent with the last time in (within one month) also a Saturday night and pizza and wings that were good! Let me start by saying my experience could have been better with adequate staffing i believe. The servers were upbeat and friendly but definitely had more tables then they could handle. The bartender was extremely behind all night (again staffing issues I believe) and the food inconsistent. I've eaten here multiple times and its always hit or miss I find. It has all the qualities to be a great place if they can staff accordingly and remain consistent with food. We actually had to get our bill from another server as we didn't see ours for over half an hour.

Pizza and wings are increible. Amazing Staff. Awesome Modern Interior Design. TVs everywhere, even in the booths which has charging outlets with USB ports. Dining, high-table, bar and gaming area and large patio available. Weekly live music. Clean facility and washrooms. Free WiFi. Free Parking. Bus stops nearby. No credit card surcharge.

We tried pizza and wings from here for the first time tonight... and it won't be the last! The wings are massive and the flavor selection is phenomenal. I'm always leery about places that claim to have 'reaper' or 'ghost pepper' sauce and it is little more than Frank's hot sauce... But I could actually feel the burn (and pain!) The pizza is great as well, with a crust that is baked to perfection. I can't believe it took us this long to try. Lives up to the hype of 'best wings in town'

The waitress we had was amazing was around to clear our glasses ..knew the menu so that was impressive ..was very friendly

We had lunch here today and the service was fantastic. Robin took very good care of us, she was very attentive. We come here often because the food is good and close to home but we especially enjoy having great service from Robin. She always has a smile on her face and goes out of her way to make sure we have a good experience.

We enjoyed our first time at Eager Beaver last night! I was pre warned the salad was going to be huge and I was happy to bring it to our place; Still good the next morning! My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich. We mentioned to the waitress we were in Niagara for our honeymoon and we have been married for one week now and the owner gifted us free James Franco shots. They were delicious! Definitely hope we can make it back one more time before we leave in a few days :)

Very good service! I think we were the first ones there but it still took 30 minutes for us to get our food. The sauce for the sweet potatoes is quite nice! Wings are great! The cauliflower bites are not as crispy or battered as other places I've been. I wouldn't recommend it. Overall a pleasant experience on their large outdoor patio.

This is one of our "go-to's" in Niagara Falls for great pizza, wings, fries, and burgers. The pizza and wings are my favorite, always fresh and hot. It has a great atmosphere inside and a nice patio outside. Good selection of beer. It can get busy so I recommend going early. They also do takeout by phone or online ordering, both of which have worked well for us. We find it's a good place to take the family. Service is fast and friendly.

10-15-22 2pm, Amazing pizza, very unique crust!!! ⭐️ Dont ever change your pizza dough recipe, light and airy almost like a fresh pita! Excellent sauce and the pepperonis!!!! Kid’s chicken tender meal is HUGE! Excellent chicken tenders and breading. And the french fries 🍟!!!! Don’t forget the ice cream sundae!!! Tammy our waitress, was top notch! Kid friendly restaurant is a plus!!!!! Definitely a must try and repeat.

Simply Wow. The staff was friendly and excellent. The food was very good. Beware, the nachos are good and the quantity is crazy. The nachos were two and half to 3 times the size served in Jack Astor's which I love. So, if you decide to order Nachos which one should, just order only one more food item. We also ordered Wings, Chicken lovers pizza and bread with archi- choke dip, everything was excellent. Definitely recommended. Will go again for sure. Sitting outside was fun.

Very nice clean place. Food is excellent. We have tried a variety of dishes and all have been done perfect and the taste was awesome. Try the perfect and always crispy onion rings with their special garlic dip, just awesome. Only complaint I have is the music being played. Constant 50 & 60s which is ok if you only go once, but if you like to be a repeat customer it gets old quick. They need to change up the music, a few 50 & 60s with some modern upbeat, updated rock, pop, metal & hip hop. Don't forget you are playing tunes for the customers. Waitresses are great as well with quick service and great smiles. Try it out.

Service - excellent ! Nachos - out of this world. Calamari a rivals any high end restaurant. The beaver bread - do yourself a favour a fry it- absolute perfection. 10/10 would recommend to anyone ✅

First time coming to Eager Beaver but definitely will not be my last. When I called I was told it would be 90 minute wait. That is not of any control of the great staff there but a sign of very good food that so many people have already discovered. Ordered 2 orders of 2 piece fish and chips and it was very good and very filling. You have a new customer that will be back many times. Keep up the great work everyone

Had lunch with a small group, we were very impressed! Service was fantastic, food was very good especially the onion rings and calamari! There was a small hiccup with my order but was rectified quickly and the establishment was extremely clean!! I would definitely recommend this place! Check it out!

A single tasty order a great eatery does not make, so after more than one order separated by a couple of weeks, I’m confident that the great food wasn’t a one hit wonder. The staff are very pleasant, the portions are grand, but most importantly the food taste is awesome! The fish and chips are fantastic and the Eager Beaver Burger is simply divine. Highly recommend!

Great service that’s the first thing I have to say the second is the food is sooo good. Pizza and wings spot for sure as that’s the reach of their specials/deals in the menu. Huge patio space with large TVs on stands. Big backyard parking area. Feels like a home style operation with most of the younger staff being friends and they all work well together I find. *In/out server door on patio can be little annoying tho.

Excellent in every respect. Beautiful spacious patio, friendly attentive server (Laura), and great food. Fish and pork carnitas tacos were generous portions and oh so tasty. Sweet potato fries were the crispiest and lightest I've ever had. We'll definitely be back...

Wow!! Now I know why this place gets such good reviews! Food was dynamite! Garlic butter parm wings and pizza to die for. Flavor town!! Next time trying fish and chip and burgers! Restaurant, patio and bathrooms were super clean! The host that sat us was great! And to the young man Tyler that served up was exceptional! One man band on the patio sounded great!! Thank you for a great date night!! Did I mention the prices for food were very reasonable!! WE WILL BE BACK!
