Fantastic site, great service, awesome bar selection, but a little disappointing on the food. The pasta salad was served cold which was a surprise, but tasted good. Could have used more sauce but was bland overall. My steak tips were actually room temp and time, overcooked. I thought it was supposed to be seared. The tots were fantastic and were made of a mix of sour cream, cheddar cheese and shredded potato. Those were exceptional. Very light on sauce and garlic butter which diminished the taste somewhat. Overall, our server, Raven, was the best part. Very friendly and helpful. Superior viewing of the river from the patio. Nice place to try.

Dined here today (party of 13) - the restaurant handled the large party well, and everyone was pleased with the food. The restaurant recently opened and is a vast improvement over the last one that was here in nearly every possible way. A diverse menu, luxurious interior decor, and a wide variety of beverages available. If you’re looking for a nice meal out, this is worth a stop. Parking is very limited on weekends due to the Jet Boat Tours which depart from below the restaurant. Fantastic views of the lower Niagara River.

This was a great spot to stop for lunch. Delicious food, huge portions and a great craft beer tap list. The waterfront view is lovely as well!

We sat at the bar and did not have a very good experience. The bartenders were not very friendly. The bar back was the friendliest person we encountered here, and he couldn’t help us with anything due to his role. The food was also disappointing. I had the ramen (shabu shabu), and it was extremely oily and the broth did not have a good flavor. The hoisin helped, but still it was way too oily. My husband ordered the tips and tots, and the tater tots were grease balls, while the steak was nearly overdone. For the prices here, the food needs to be a lot better.

Delicious dinner and super friendly wait staff. My husband enjoyed the Yellowstone Steak immensely. It was so flavorful. I had the smoked gouda manicotti shells. Wonderfully cheesy comfort food.

Nice spot right on the water. Great ambience, there is a gigantic wraparound bar and I am pretty sure they will make any drink you have ever heard of. There is some outdoor seating. Make a reservation to get a table with a good view, it’s worth it. our server was good, but it took quite a while to get the food, which was good, not amazing.

We had a great time here! Wide selection of beers, wines, and cocktails (including the playfully-named Mound Town lol), delicious food, and fantastic service. My boyfriend raved about the tuna nachos and I loved the coconut lobster chowder; would absolutely get these again next time. Great view of the water. Our server Brett (sp?) was super personable and attentive and we really appreciated him. Can't wait to visit again!

We asked Griffon to host our families business going away party. We wanted it to be a bit more private for our 25ish guests. They were extremely accommodating in every way. We wanted it to start at 2 pm (2 hours before they opened) and the kitchen and staff came in early to do that for us. They allowed us to come in even earlier to set up decorations. The food was delicious, the woman taking care of the whole party was nothing less than wonderful. Thank you, Griffon for hosting this very important day.

I would give a review on the food but we have yet to get our food after waiting an hour and forty five minutes for a table and still waiting an hour after ordering. I would recommend taking a swim over to canada and finding a restaurant to eat at because you’ll probably get food quicker that way. The views nice though.

We made reservations at the recommendation of lady working the front desk at our hotel. She said she goes here at least once a week, she loves it that much. She isn't wrong. If we were local we would definitely eat there often. Terrific portion and a well thought out menu with lots of options without feeling overwhelming. Our party got a beef a chicken and a salad entree as well as the fried chicken planks and the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese. All of it was amazing. Our waiter, Joe, was spectacular. Friendly, attentive and helpful. If you are in the Niagara Falls area this is a gem. Atmosphere, service and food were all A+

This is my first visit to The Griffon House since they moved to the riverfront. The food was amazing as always. The hostess and waiter were spot on perfect. When I mentioned to the hostess that I would like a table by the window with a view of the Niagara River when my friends visit later this month, she suggested I make a reservation, which I did. Once I was seated (she seated me at a table with a river view) my waiter stopped by and asked if I cared for any drinks. When i was perusing the menu, there were so many wonderful choices for an appetizer, I asked my waiter to surprise me and bring what he felt is best here. I probably wouldn't have chosen the Pot Stickers, but I am so glad he chose them for me. After I finished my meal, Brandon asked how everything was. The Griffon House has always had amazing food and ambiance, not to mention wonderful team members. Tonight I felt like I was family dining here. Thank you all. Look forward to seeing you soon! Outstanding food!! Even better service!! I get a steak almost every time I eat at a restaurant, this has to be one of the best steaks I’ve had, the decor was so calming and inviting. I went in there hungry and tired and left with a whole new outlook on my day! Thank you for your awesome restaurant

My wife and I wanted to have a great night out together on a Sunday evening. We typically sit at a bar but got a high top and our waitress Hailey was fire. Her overall service, speed, positive attitude, attention to details stands unmatched to all the WNY restaurants. Wish EVERY restaurant had staff like her. Oh yeah....the food was really good also

We loved our dinner tonight! We sat on the patio ans enjoyed the beautiful view! Our server was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable! We ordered the Italiano fish dish which was delish! With the seafood chowder and corn fritters! Yummm! I HIGHLY recommend you check out this sprawling waterside patio before summer is over! We will absolutely be back to enjoy all they offer again soon!

Wonderful food - The Yellowstone 16 oz was amazing as was the grilled Caesar salad! We also enjoyed the potskickers and lovely flight of ciders and sours. Excellent waitstaff! pleasant and informative. Sunset river view was gorgeous. We will definitely come here again!

Great gastro pub spot. Staff is friendly and food is delish. Had the grilled romaine with anchovies. The best! Hubby and our boys had steak and burgers. Very nicely placed on plate with fries in a metal basket. Nice wine list. Worth a visit.

While driving through the village of Lewiston, we stopped along the river and saw the brewery. Stopped in for a drink and had an outdoor seat facing the Niagara River. Even though we did not eat a meal here, the menu has lots of good choices especially for someone who does not eat meat. A very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere while enjoying a cocktail and admiring the scenery. Definitely worth a visit.

This place was incredible! I loved being able to sit on the balcony and watch the river as I ate. Our server Trish was very attentive and provided excellent service. My only regret is not being able to finish all of my food. If you go, get the Maryland Crab Pretzel Bombs, but bring at least three people to share them with.

We had good service and enjoyed the updates to the restaurant itself. It has a beautiful wall of windows in main dining room overlooking the Niagara River and a warm gas lit fireplace in center of room. The tables are spaced out but it was loud in the crowded room. Our beer battered fish fries were okay. The fish was flakey and white, but the batter was a bit on the greasy side. The side of coleslaw came in a tiny plastic condiment container which was hard to eat out of and made with cider vinegar. One of us liked the taste and the other did not. We have enjoyed food at all of the Griffon locations and will look forward to eating here on the patio on a nice warm day. Photo of lounge ( former side bar) and exterior from parking lot.

Charming restaurant with great food. Had an awesome bourbon flight selection. Did the Roxkstar flight. Had the wings for dinner and they were really really good. The bruschetta and clams were excellent appetizers. Great view of the Niagara River. Our server Brad didn't have much of a selection of desserts but recommended to go up the road and grab ice cream at Hibbard's.

This place was delicious! I will add we stayed in Niagra Falls New York, but drove here and don’t regret it! We sat on the deck so you could see the river. It was about an 18 min drive. My husband and I got Poutine to share, our kids had some too, and we all loved it! The kids got the children’s Mac and cheese, which is also an entree and what they’re known for. It was sooo good! Then my husband got the beef on weck, he loved it. I got the pb&j burger and that was super good, along with their fries! They had lots of drink choices, and I got the mojito super yummy. Hubby enjoyed the beer selections as well. Lastly our sever was prompt, super friendly, on point and did an amazing job! Highly recommend

Very nice and welcoming scenery, just stopped in for the first time last night and I couldn’t be more impressed by the Establishment. The food was a solid 9/10 plenty more of the menu to test out though. A really good overall dinning experience if your looking for a place with great food and better service stop in.

This place is a must! It was so good we came back twice. Their menu has all your traditional pub items, but with a unique spin. The ingredients are beyond fresh, and the creativity in each dish makes the meal memorable. The hand battered chicken tenders and hot wings were so tasty. The One Love mahi sandwhich was phenomenal. You can also have it on a bed of coconut ginger rice, which was even better. The chicken and waffles was impressive. The burgers were great. The shrimp po boy was a delicious new take on a classic. And they earned their Mac and cheese awards, that's for sure! I also loved the design of the restaurant inside. It's like pub-chic. Laid back, but romantic at the same time. You can't beat the views of the water either. Ask for Bradford. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. He gave us great recommendations on the menu and took care of us.

This was our anniversary dinner and everything was good. Service was great food was good and the almost smoky sunset was ok. Maybe Somme send the Canadians smoky the bear. Lovely evening and a perfect cap on our day.

The restaurant is by the water. Perfect spot for dinner and watching sunset. The drinks were good, food was hit or miss. We ordered potstickers and tuna tacos as an appetizer. Both were great, kind of way overpriced for the 5 pieces of Potsticker but sauce was yummy. I ordered shabu shabu as my main dish and nope would not recommend. The soup is way too oily for me to enjoy any flavor. Shabu shabu hot pot is my favorite kind of food (coming from Asia), this is far far from it. Lol

It just took an extremely long time for everything to kind of happen and the service was over all slow. I asked for my burger to be med-well and got a raw cold burger.. the fries were very good and the server was sweet as pie but I waited too long for them to bring me a practically uncooked burger..

Great place! Love the beer selection. 54 beers on tap and a full liquor selection. Great late night food menu and when they say the best chicken tenders, they mean it. The oil candles throughout are a brilliant touch. Romantic, or just setting the right mood. The first night's bartender Jeff was awesome and the second night Scotty held the bar to the same excellent standard. Highly recommended!

Fantastic atmosphere and view of the river! We came a little before sunset and it was beautiful. Food was also good overall (beef on weck was spot on; chicken waffle sandwich not as good). A great selection of beers/ciders and wines. Flights of beer/cider available. They also have cocktails, but they ran out (?) of printed cocktail menus and our server didn't really know anything about the drink contents (she only looked up their names), which made it difficult to order one. To the owner: Missed opportunity!

We visited Lewiston for our anniversary and a fishing charter. This restaurant was within walking distance from our hotel and right on the river. We didn't think to make a reservation but they were able to get us a table in a reasonable time frame. The food was incredible and as a craft beer lover, I was thrilled with the selection! We went back Saturday night as well!. The service was top notch! We will return!!!

My fiance and I were out celebrating, and decided on this place after a day out kayaking nearby in Wilson. Upon looking at a menu online, we decided this would be a good choice for both of our sets of dietary restrictions. We were not disappointed. The place was very busy, but it was apparently not so much so, that we weren't able to get seated in a timely fashion. We sat at the bar to have a drink while we were waiting for the table though, and they had quite the variety of beers, wines, and liquors available. Since I'm gluten-free, I went with a tasty blueberry peach hard cider from a Western New York Brewery that they had on tap. After we got seated, I was overwhelmed in a good way, by the amount of choices I had to pick from on the menu. I ended up going with a gluten free Mahi Mahi burger, with a side of the gluten free version of the smoked gouda mac and cheese. My fiance got a whole helping of the normal smoked gouda mac and cheese, and we also got the corn dip as a starter. The dip was very tasty, and my only complaint would be to please include more chips and dip, for the price. I was happy with my serving sizes on my dinner though, and was also blown away by the flavor of it all. Our waitress was super attentive, kind, and fun, despite having a large party across from us, and I'm sure, other tables to attend to as well. We will definitely return at some point when we are back in the area, and would recommend this to anyone who has never been here before, as there is truly something for everyone.

Was able to get an easy reservation the night of. Was dark and cloudy, so could not see much of the river, but the drive was quaint. Restaurant is homesy, with a huge bar area. Had the beef on weck and fish fry. Both meals were delicious. The fish portion was huge. I had a blueberry-peach cider that was just ok, and then a run drink called Amber Waves that was very tasty. Finished up with the PB Triffle and it was amazing. All of the staff was great, service was prompt. Would recommend.
