We ate here for my wife’s birthday. The photos online looked great and the location perfect so thought we’d try it. I was greeted initially by an unfriendly waitress who showed us to our seat outside, and we waited to be served. A much friendlier waiter came over to take our order, so we ordered the salmon and fillet steak. The waiter overall seemed inexperienced, spilling some wine on the table as he poured it, saying sorry and then not bothering to come to clean up his mess…but I could tell he was actually trying so didn’t mind him too much. The food was variable…my wife’s salmon was very over cooked and very dry, vegetables and potatoes very bland and tasteless. My steak in contrast was very good, but again, vegetables and potato very bland and disappointing. The waiter did quickly check as we finished our meal whether everything was OK to which we replied honestly and he didn’t really seem to take on board what we said. When presented with the bill, we reiterated that the food was not up to the standard we expected and were pleased that after consulting with someone, took the salmon off the bill. This is not a cheap restaurant, and we expected high standards which were not met. Had we not been more insistent, we would’ve been paying a high price for it but at least were left feeling that our dissatisfaction had been acknowledged. The location is great and the food could be good but some aspects certainly need improvement.

I spent my honeymoon reception with my new bride. It was our first time to truly experience the falls. It is such a shame that the once renown honeymoon capital of the world has lost the once shining luster it once was. My bride Michelle and I had the utmost pleasure of spending a week experiencing a true wonder of the world. We had our wedding reception at one of the oldest and more elegant inns and restaurant of all times. It still today projects the same class and elegance to go along with the natural beauty of the falls. My wife and I were swept away in the moment even though it was just the 2 of us in our party it seemed as if the whole restaurant was our party. We even got up and danced. The waitress and staff went out of their way to help make the most special dining experience ever. (The surf and turf is awesome) A definite must do while visiting. It will bring you back to a day where traditional elegance meets natural beauty. A perfect recipe, and a perfect place to fall in love.

By far the best Salmon I have ever had. I could eat it every Day! Love the atmosphere and the beautiful wood burning fireplace in the winter. Service is always top notch. I have heard from friends the the rooms in the hotel are enormous and elegant! Will definitely be planning our next family event there.

Restaurant only. We were not guest of the inn, just stopped by for lunch. It was delicious! Tiffany was our server and she was adorable! Service was great! My mom and I ordered the crab cakes, French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, and pear lakes salad with salmon. Everything had great flavor and the seafood was fresh tasting. Would highly recommend the restaurant!

I want to give the Red Coach Inn five ⭐️s, but with severe understaffing combined with full rate prices, it doesn’t pass muster. Most of the staff were very friendly—especially the front desk—that is, when we could get ahold of them. Much of the time, there was no one there in person, or on the phone. The Highland suite was lovely, and very spacious… lots of wonderful kitchen space, and a beautiful canopy bed. Oddly, for a suite, there was only one robe, no dresser space, and a plethora of seating that was ALL uncomfortable. As a vacation rental cleaner for many years, I may be overly persnickety, but I would expect less dust, more towels, and certainly, amenities as requested. Even though we paid $400/night, they didn’t bring basics like toilet paper and garbage bags, even when asked for several times. Judging by the occupancy and the hurried nature of the staff, I would put money on all of those complaints being the direct fault of a management that doesn’t want to pay what their staff are worth. Edit: the jaunty tone of the Red Coach Inn’s response assumes a lot. We would never stay here again, and we would never recommend it to anyone. It’s only saving grace is it’s location. Otherwise they’d be out of business.

We were a party of 6. Our service was good. Our food was very good. The chicken french w/artichokes and risotto was wonderful (1 cutlet). The chicken parmesan w/pasta had 2 cutlets and a ton of pasta. (Huge)! The service was much better than last time! I didn't want to go back, but the food was so good last time that we gave it a second try!

The food really was very lackluster and overpriced for the quality. My steak was bland and flavorless, just looked like a grey piece of boiled meat. The Mac n cheese looked great but also was pretty close to flavorless. My son's shrimp was way overcooked and dried out and my wife's salad was served on a plate that must have recently came out of the dishwasher because it was very warm which of course quickly wilted the lettuce. I have no idea why some nice restaurants have never figured out that one of the keys to a good salad is serving it on a chilled plate or bowl. Dessert wasn't much better. The server brought out a sample tray (which looked like it had been dropped on the floor or something, desserts were falling apart and looked like they were just thrown onto the tray from across the room) to show the different desserts to choose from, which in the short time we were there they ran out of half of what we saw another server was showing a table as we entered the dining area. We ended up choosing the strawberry Creme Brule. It tasted pretty good but there was barely any caramelized sugar on top which is one of the best parts of this dessert. It literally looked like they just threw a pinch or two of sugar on top. It really is a shame because the place has so much potential.

I rated this establishment strictly on the restaurant and it's proximity to the Falls. The food was good but I sent my tea back because it didn't taste like tea. It was dark like coke. The lodging facility was extremely disappointing. For this lodging rate you don't expect to see dark spots on the carpet and spots on the comforter. I understand historical but please update. I didn't sleep well because all I wondered was if the bed linens were clean because of the comforter.

What was good - the food , the breakfast especially waitresses were awesome. We had five meals they were all fantastic , my wife and I enjoyed all of it. Food was A+ What was not so good Honeymoon package we were expecting not What was delivered. The wine tasting was a town 25 miles away that you could only get through ride share which was about $120. The winery itself just wasn't good. We got the basic package with the honeymoon package that we could have gotten for 9 bucks a person. There was an overall lack of wowing either of us with amenities There was also no shuttle. It's weird to spend almost 400 a night on a hotel and have to find a taxi. They also did construction on the next room over so there was work equipment table saws, trash bags sawdust etc... our room. They did offer a solution but only after several hours . No room service and you had to fill out a form to get things for your room and drop it off. It took us five hours to get toilet paper. This was a 3.75 star rating only because of the jacuzzi in the unit and the food and wait Staff was good. Otherwise there are areas here. I get covid affects stuff but as a hotel in one I f the top honeymoon locations in the country you as a business should be STRIVING and bending over backwards for people doing their honeymoon with you all. It was weird to at multiple points feel like no one gave a ____.

We didn't stay here, but I see me and my husband putting this on our to do list. We just happened to wander in for the breakfast and it was fantastic. I love the fact that the chef actually comes and greets you. The food is so delicious. I will definitely be back.

The rooms are awesome, and the location is unbeatable! The restaurant needs work, in the food department. Also, our car was broken into right outside of our room in the hotel parking lot. I know that's not the fault of the hotel, but a little security might be a good thing. Fortunately there was nothing for the burglar to take, they just left a mess. Just be sure to bring anything valuable into your room.

We only ate dinner here- we did not stay in the hotel. Food was good, but a bit pricey for the quality. You’re paying for the ambiance for sure. It was definitely beautiful and a great view of Toronto from our table! Our waitress certainly could have been friendlier, but service was okay overall. We paid about $80 before tip for two people- 2 drinks, an appetizer, and 2 entrees, one of which was vegetarian.

My wife and I went for a late lunch after walking the Niagara Falls park in December. The atmosphere was very cozy: a warm fireplace, rich decor, and lovely view. The menu was reasonably priced and our food was delicious. It was clear that everything was homemade. The service was fast and attentive. Definantly planning to visit here again.

This is by far one of the best stays we have had. The staff was always helpful and kind. The room was wonderful and the amenities great. The restaurant was splendid and we did not want for anything. The option to dine on the veranda was enjoyable especially since it is in close proximity to the river. The meals were grand, pleasant and plenty. We like the location just across the street from the State Park. We walked to Goat Island and enjoyed the falls. Then we walked to the visitors center and the observation deck. There was plenty of activities to keep you busy and have fun then return to the comfort of your room and/or enjoy a meal in the restaurant. We want to send a great big Thank You for making our stay so wonderful.

A visit to the history of The Red Coach Inn, brings memories to life. Service: you feel like family. Hospitality: The price might surprise some, but the minute you walk in, you will be beyond happy! The views alone make for the price. The room is perfection. Then heading l to the restaurant, the food is delicious every day of the week! The service is spectacular! Specialty cocktails and I must say… the French Onion Soup is a taste of a visit to Pairs, France, without leaving the country! Plus, you can dine, stay and visit Niagara Falls in one fabulous adventure!!

This was one of the best hotel stays ever. The hotel has beautiful old charm, and some rooms with heart-shaped tubs. The hotel is across the street from the American rapids, and a short walk to the falls. The restaurant is fabulous, and overlooks the rapids. Many of the local restaurants were "closed for the season". The Red Coach restaurant was always open with friendly staff and a warm fire. We ate 6 meals here during our stay, and each was perfect.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We walked in and we were immediately charmed by the elegance of the dining room. Our waitress was wonderful and made sure we were well taken care of during our meal. The food was absolutely delicious. We had just arrived at the falls and it was a wonderful first meal. If you are looking for delicious food while surrounded by charming excellence we highly recommend the Red Coach Inm. And it is just steps to the falls when you are done.

My husband and I decided to come to the restaurant after a small little hike on Goat Island to visit the Falls. And overall, it was a very Meh visit. The place looks great, and that's about it. When we got in, we were sat down and had small glasses of water placed in front of us, but never actually asked what sort of drinks we would like. Which, as we had just finished a hike, we were thirsty and were okay with water, but it would have been nice for them to ask if we wanted anything else, as normal place would. My husband ordered the shepherds pie, which according to the menu, is "crusted with smashed potatoes" but as you can see from the picture, there was just a dollop of mashed potatoes put into the center and was not nearly "crusted" with it. He likened it to more of a chili than shepherd's pie. It was a bit bland, but tasted better for him after he added salt and pepper. I ordered the Black and Blue steak wrap which barely had any blue cheese in it, and now that I am re-reading the menu, did not come with the pickles advertised. While we were in the process of actively eating, the waiter came over and asked us if we were ready for a box yet. I had only eaten half of my wrap and was actively eating the fries! We were nowhere near done! And remember those small glasses of water that we had received at the beginning? They were refilled once with lukewarm water. We ended up going to a Target afterwards to get bottles of water and each downing a whole bottle because our waiter was not attentive at all; and when he did come and ask us about that box early on, he disappeared super quick and we had no chance of asking for a refill. So all in all, it was a very meh experience for nearly $20 a plate. A lot of false advertising in the menu, and food that is just...food. It does the job as food in that it will make you less hungry, but it will not wow you out of this world.

The Red Coach Inn was a fantastic experience. We came in the off-season as a stop on our honeymoon and stayed in the Portsmouth room, and thank goodness we did! It was large, spacious, and we came during the offseason and got snowed in. We were grateful for such a cozy space considering we had to spend so much time inside. We didn't realize how much Niagara Falls closes down in the winter (seriously, just about everything was closed) and we'd recommend going at the front or tail end of the open season. But if you want a beautiful winter experience, Niagara is beautiful in the snow, the rooms will keep you warm, and there's plenty of modern amenities that make the old rooms still feel fresh and new. On top of that, the food at the restaurant was absolutely top-notch and I don't think there was a single meal there that me or my wife didn't absolutely love. Top to bottom great experience, the Red Coach Inn is the place to go in Niagara!

I was with a group of young students visiting Niagara Falls when we got stuck outside in the freezing cold waiting for the bus to pick us up. As the group's leader, I was looking for a place where I can get the guys to rest and warm up a bit. I Walked in to The Red Coach Restaurant and the staff were very welcoming and understanding. Even though we couldn't buy food there because all boys are eating only strictly kosher food, they allowed us to sit there for a few hours to warm up and rest. When one boy accidentally broke a glass, they refused to accept payment for it. They acted towards us with enormous grace, empathy, and love. May the Almighty repay them with all blessings. I noticed their friendly feel-like-home environment and I strongly recommend them if you visit Niagara Falls!

Ending a two night stay at Red Coach. We had a beautiful suite with a really comfortable bed, two couches, mini-fridge, gas fireplace, and all the other typical hotel amenities. Can see the rapids from our first floor window. But cant hear the roar of the river until you step outside. Hotel staff are exceptional. Our check in was easy and enjoyable. We were told of local sites and activities. Restaurant staff was the same with exceptional and pleasant service. Very accommodating to desires and wishes. Parking behind the hotel is free and easily accessible. Getting to all parts of the falls is simple. The American side is a short five minute walk. And maybe a 10 minute drive to the Canadian side (depends on how busy Customs is). We really have enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Red Coach. If you're looking for a better ambiance and something better than a cookie cutter hotel, this is a great place.

This place is very cozy. We stayed when it was cold out. The restaurant and bar area was heated by a fireplace. The staff was friendly and professional. We had so much fun joking around and talking. The room was also very cozy and clean. I would stay again if ever I go back to Niagara Falls.

Amazing artwork, loved the rooms, the food was delicious and the water nearby was Amazing! The falls right down the path wasn't far from here which was also a blessing because I hate the cold! Hehehe Very Beautiful! Thank you for the relaxing experience 😌 Patchen Family

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. It was a beautiful, cozy and comfortable “home away from home.” I brought my elderly mother with us. She had no problems getting around as it is very close to the falls and Goat Island. The breakfast was amazing, and the servers for breakfast were outstanding. We had dinner there once and the food was just okay. For the price, the food should have been excellent. For this reason, we didn’t go back for dinner or lunch again. We only went back for breakfast. The look and feel of the place was something out of a fairytale. It was very well put together. The staff were very helpful. Dez was amazing when we needed a couple of things in the evening. The young lady that checked us in was very nice, polite and looked like she loved working there. All in all it was a wonderful experience for us! We will definitely be back!

We can't say enough great things about our stay here. We booked for our anniversary. Aimee helped make it special with the added package of snacks/chocolate/ champagne and rose petals. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. The beds were so comfortable, as was the bedding. Service was great! Food was the best we had on our trip for breakfast and dinner. You can drink the water there and it is good. For some people that matters (me). Location was amazing! Amazing 👏!

One bedroom suite was very nice. It even had a gas fireplace which was nice on the cool evenings. Service was excellent at the inn & restaurant. Location was the best! We were about 200 feet from the Niagara River, & about 300 - 400 yards from the falls.

I didnt stay at the hotel, but visited the restaurant. The food was rotten. On top of that we told the waitress which agreed on that the smell was off. She took the plates and left. After a while I had to ask for her. She came back with no resolution or anything. I ask for the check for an appetizer we ate. They also charged for a plate that we couldn't eat because the remaining people were with no food, so we left. But before leaving i spoke to the manager. The customer service was worst. I talked to the manager about the situation, and he didnt care. It seems they are used to it but also i dont think they care for tourists. Very bad family memory for us. They changed my pasta experience for bad for the rest of my life. I can still taste the rotten food in my mouth. Vomit.

The pros: Location is incredible and an easy walk across street to the falls and lots of beautiful areas to walk. The room was beautiful and clean. Cons: I did notice some areas that didn't look clean (living room coffee table) had rings and stains from previous guest cups, also lots of stains on rug outside of room. Not a big deal but for the price per night, I would think it would be emaculate. The restaurant was OK, was disappointed as other reviews were good but nothing was consistent. Breakfast service was great, friendly, and attentive. My husband's food was hot and yummy, mine was luke warm and cool and just ok. I was hesitant to try for dinner but since my husband's food was good we took the chance. Again his food was good, but I got the NY strip and it was so fatty, the fat was not cooked/rendered as it was stringy and difficult to cut with knife. I spit out a few bites that I ate accidentally, the asparagus did not have woody ends cut off and were inedible as they also were very salty, the mashed potatoes were good. Our dinner service was simply ok, waitress acted like she was irritated to be there and gave very basic service. Overall, for the cost to stay here and eat here It's a one time experience and done for us. Wasn't terrible but wasn't great either, just okay.

Usually I won't leave reviews, but I feel like this place earned it. All of the Staff were amazing, and the room was spotless, food was good in the restaurant, and the free breakfast was literally the best we've ever had. Perfect place for a cold winter weekend getaway within walking distance in 10° weather.

Staff and food were excellent Bathroom counter very small, especially for people traveling. Couldn't clean the rooms because of Covid, a hotel policy. Walking distance to attractions and restaurants. Great view from room

This is for the restaurant. I never walked out of one before. Our waiter coughed multiple times without covering his mouth (with no mask). Was sniffing loud and right in front of us with a runny nose wiping it. Then a waitress walked by and coughed. No thanks with covid going on. We canceled our order which was embarrassing and left. Seriously stay home even if your just sick. Also that guy was making rude comments about other people who are before us. Just not a fun or friendly experience (other staff was friendly).

I thought while I was in Niagara that I would try the restaurant. Went in at 4 in the afternoon. Restaurant was pretty much empty. I had a reservation at 5:15 but they took me early. The waitress that started with me got changed. Ordered coffee and the meatloaf. The coffee was not fresh and the food had no season. Also way too much food for 1 person. Considering the price I expected a lot more. No one asked if I needed more water or coffee.

The staff at the Inn are amazing! Very friendly and helpful! The rooms are nice and clean. It’s just a short walk from the falls so perfectly located! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. The Inns restaurant is equally nice! Friendly staff and delicious food!

We came here for dinner on a Sunday night, the place has a really relaxed atmosphere, the decorations will have you looking around the room rather than picking out your food, but that's ok because the staff are polite, patient, and right there when you need them. The food itself was good, large portions, well made, and the kids menu was a hit too. If we are back in Niagara falls we will likely stay here!

We stayed in the Niagara Suite. It was beautiful. The beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean. The suite is huge!! Dinner at the restaurant and breakfast in the morning were delicious. The service from check in, to housekeeping, and waiter/waitresses were top notch!! This will most definitely be an annual trip for us!! We love everything about the Red Coach Inn.

What a great place to stay. We had a great time. The red Coach Inn is in walking distance from Niagara Falls. The staff here rocks! The room is beautiful. Thanks Mark for helping us out Wow we are truly grateful. Also the food at the restaurant was amazing! The chicken french was 5 star yummy. My wife's pasta bruschetta with chicken was fantastic! We love it here and will be returning!

To be clear, we did not stay at the hotel, but we had a fantastic lunch. We sat outside on a gorgeous fall day with the rapids rumbling right across the street. The Inn is so beautiful. A classically elegant throwback to another era. Dayle, our server, was great. Our salads and sandwiches were made to perfection and the selection of local brews was top-notch. I would come back to the Red Coach Inn any time. A true delight.

Restaurant only. Ordered the strip. Over cooked and no seasoning. Felt like a steak ordered at a breakfast diner (no offense to breakfast diners who do it right). Sides were good. Wings were above average. Wife had surf and turf. Lobster was delicious. Filet was unseasoned but cooked well. We were seated by the door so we got blasted by cold air every time someone went outside. Serving staff was excellent. Restaurant was clean. Possibly just a bad night on steaks.

Literally the best place to stay in Niagara falls. hands down. You are right next to the river. The restaurant food is divine. The bar and bartender will leave you in delight. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. The service is so top notch. Some rooms renovated, it is a historical site so they have preserved so much. Stunning 😍

We ate at the restaurant, and didn't stay at the hotel. The food was excellent and fairly priced. Very attentive and friendly staff. Great number of dessert items as well. We walked, so I can't speak to the parking lot. Very close to the entrance to the falls. You can easily get to the falls and walk off dinner.

I really enjoyed staying here. The path to the Falls is just across the street. The free shuttle bus has a stop right out front. Staff are very friendly and helpful, except at arrival. The two young personnel thought what was on the phone was more important than giving their customer complete attention. Easy to get to, the parking was in weird spot and I didn't see any signs for it. I didn't like that my room was on the opposite side of parking. There's on option to pay for street parking on that side. $$$$. Glad I was on the first floor. As stated on their website, there are no elevators. I still had several steps to go up with luggage though before reaching my door. No one offered to help me take luggage from my car around. I am an older woman. Looks are deceiving, courtesy to ask everyone. The food at the restaurant was delicious and staff continued to check on me. The room overall was presentable, but certainly not detailed. Always room for improvement. Found a can behind nightstand. Hairs and dust, mainly in bathroom. Window sill was dirty and had bugs. The fragrances in the room and bed sheets were a bit strong and irritating. The Bose was on when I arrived and I did not like that. Being on the first floor I could hear the children above me running around. I checked out very early and was offered a bagel to go, I thought this was great!

We did not stay at this hotel but we did pop in for a late lunch after spending most of the day at the Falls. To give them the benefit of the doubt, we did walk in at an odd time. The guy at the host stand said he wasn’t sure if it was still lunch or if it was dinner. He went to find out. Told us lunch. We asked for a table outside because it was a stunningly beautiful day - and he said they didn’t have a table outside that was big enough for five people. So we sat inside. They were not busy - and less than 10 minutes after we were seated a party of six came in, asked for a table outside and were immediately seated out there. (No one had left in the meantime and even if they had… we would have waited…) Our server was fantastic- she was friendly, hilarious and checked in often. She was, however, surprised we had lunch menues - but took or order from them anyway. The food was very good. Not super memorable (I’m writing this after we got home from our trip and I can’t remember what I had) but it was good. When we left we walked by the outdoor seating where there were a number of parties enjoying the gorgeous day - and it was not full. Super annoying.

Highly recommend! Right next to park. Very nice, quiet room, big tv, comfortable bed, nice bath with jacuzzi tub...we fit 2 into it. Perrier and glasses in the fridge, nice coffee pot with REAL coffee cups, cute little sink in the sleeping area, Bose radio, comfy bathrobes. Free breakfast ... order off the menu in restaurant. Dinner in restaurant was wonderful ... but make reservations as soon as you can.

I am very late with my review, but we stayed last November for 2 nights and had a wonderful time! We stayed in the Nottingham Suite, which was beautiful, large, private, and had a view of the rapids. When we entered the room we were greeted by Hadyn playing on a small sound system, and the timing of that and the sun setting out the front window couldn't have been more magical. The bathroom was large and clean, the bedroom was also large with a lovely comfortable bed, large two-person jacuzzi, and even the view from the rear of the suite was a good one. The sitting room was comfortable and large (again ... the view!) and the kitchenette had everything we needed. This is the closest hotel to the falls on the American side, and SO worth it. All night we could hear the rapids and it completely lulls you to sleep. I sat and looked out the window quite a bit during out stay. Check-in was easy, the front desk staff at both check-in and check-out was professional, accommodating, and personable. Breakfast both mornings was SO GOOD. The waitstaff were very kind and ready to help with anything we needed. We didn't need to ask for coffee refills, and any questions we had about our meal were answered without a glitch. I think the photos will tell you all you need to know about this particular suite and the inn in general. For "The Office" fans (we are huge nerds) yes, this is the inn where Jim and Pam are married - but only the outside of the inn is shown in the series. I feel the inside is more beautiful than the inn that was used in the show - so PLEASE don't let that deter you, this inn is a MUST STAY. I will most definitely be back someday soon!

We enjoyed our unique and beautiful room, by the falls, very much!! The walk to view the falls was nominal, as was the walk out to dinner that evening. Our space was clean and well taken care of, offering a variety of the usual items to make ones stay comfortable. We walked to the restaurant to get breakfast before we left, it was excellent!!
