We arrived just after 10 pm and were told the food on the late night menu would be available. We were seated and waited for the server for about 10 minutes. Ambiance was not bad. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. When the server appeared she told us the kitchen closes at 10 and no food would be available. Don’t waste my time.

Dockside was a fun spot. The atmosphere was great, sitting right next to the canal. The banana peppers were really good.

The Dockside Bar and Grill provides a unique experience for Buffalo boaters in that you can dock your boat right on the edge of the Erie Canal, then step off and have a fabulous lunch or dinner before reboarding and continuing your day on the water. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my friend had the Haddock Po Boy. Both came with fries and were very reasonably priced at $15. They were both delicious! They also serve alcohol - beer, wine, and cocktails. Service was fast and friendly. There was plenty of room in the front parking lot for cars, but on summer weekends boat docking space is limited. We were lucky to be passing by just as another boat was leaving. There was even a dock hand that assisted in tying up the boat. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outside patio has large motorized awnings that keep the sun off guests while still affording a marvelous view of boat traffic in the historic Erie Canal. All in all a wonderful experience at the Dockside Bar and Grill!

My husband and I had dinner at Dockside on a Saturday evening. We made reservations, but it probably was unnecessary since most of the upstairs was still open. The ambience is nice, it feels very classy without being too over the top. We sat near a view of the water. Unfortunately, it was already dark so we would love to come back to appreciate the view more during the daytime. The restaurant was running a Black Friday special: soup or salad, a select entree and a select dessert for $26. Such a great deal! We both got different selections from this menu. I ordered the Angry Pirate cocktail which was very refreshing! I had a house salad which was quite sizable and full of fresh ingredients. For my entree I had a Cajun crusted salmon, which was cooked to perfection. I hope this makes it onto the menu permanently. For dessert, I had the salted caramel brownie with ice cream, which was delicious! My husband had a chicken, corn and sausage soup of the day which he loved. His entree was the steak frites. The steak paired well with the thin cut fries and it was very tender. His dessert was an ice cream sundae. The server was very attentive and efficient. We were impressed at how little timing there was in between courses. Excellent presentation of the food as you can see by the pictures. We will definitely be back!

We stopped here on a very busy Sunday late afternoon during Canalfest. There was a half hour wait to be seated in the restaurant, but as we were only ordering appetizers they said we could sit in the bar area. We found a table outside on the water with a pretty view. The stuffed clams and the shrimp were delicious! Service was fast and servers attentive! Highly recommended!!!

Surprised at how busy it was at 4pm on a Tuesday. Excellent beer list. Food was good. Blackened chicken and creole rice had a lot of flavor but some might consider it to be too salty. (but my wife was not impressed with her fish fry, and the stuffed pepper appetizer recommended by our server were too spicy to eat).

The food was very nice. Today's special included oyster, the price for being a special was kind of pricey or at the very least on par for an upscale restaurant. They were super juicy and delicious tho, definitely worth the price. We also ordered chicken wings. They were a little crispy for my liking but not bad especially if you like crispy wings. The blue cheese was very good, I feel the condiments can some time make or break the meal. Theirs was very nice. My friend and I had fish fry and they were super crispy but yet the fish was also fresh and delicate. The tartar sauce was also amazing. We had many different beers and cocktails to sample from and the view on the patio of the water and boats is always a really treat. The only reason I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 is it was very apparent the waitress did not like serving. She was not very attentive and kind of rude at some points. It was very uncomfortable asking her for things like we were bothering her. The meal and ambiance were fantastic just the service needs some fine tuning.

Big servings right on the canal. Everything they did was great, but I really would have liked a vegetarian entree option. We had to put together a few of the appetizers to make a meal.

Excellent food, prompt service, beautiful spot next to Erie Canal. Outdoor patio weather permitting.

The fish fry slaps, and the jambalaya is always good here. The copper tables feel gross, and do not smell nice. Kinda ruins the vibe.

Can't get over how bad the food was. We ordered chicken sandwiches and they were small, overcooked and dry. The fries seemed like they were taken from used plates, deep fried again, and re-served (probably not, but wow, just terrible - no hint of freshness and they were cold). The clam chowder which I mainly went for was not the same as in the past. Nothing to crave there anymore. Would have mentioned the bad food to the waitress but she only checked in on the literal first bite and we didn't see her again until we were well past done and beyond ready to leave - and so thirsty because a second drink was never offered. Was not worth our time and money.

Always a good experience, food great.. my Martini a little on the skimpy side. I like my martinis full to the top, specially for the price that you pay for, bartender didn't seem to much care. But otherwise a great place to have dinner with friends, comfy place and the view is quite nice.

I’m so sad! The lone single but big patty burger that they carried on their previous menu was literally my favorite burger ANYWHERE. Bun, burger…simple and delicious. I tried one of their new burgers tonight and they’re two thin, uninspiring and outright cheap-tasting patties. I made the mistake of putting a little bit of salt and pepper on it, too, as it already was so sodium-laden. Yuck. We debated going to our other favorite place across the street for steaks on our anniversary, but we typically enjoy the drinks and atmosphere here better. Sadly, it was a poor choice. It’s “DJ trivia night” so we’re hurrying to get out before that non-sense commences. But…another sad issue; huge strand of someone’s hair seared onto my wife’s steak. The manager addressed it immediately, however it did delay our meal. I’m still so sad about the seemingly lower quality burger. This one isn’t even on my list of “good” burgers. I’d recommend the restaurant drop all the chain-style, tacky named burgers (like hangover burger, rodeo burger, etc,) and go back to the better, bigger patty. I would not recommend the burgers as they currently are to anyone. It’s too burger king-like. We likely will not be back as often.

Relaxing view, large parking lot and easy access to doc a boat. The drinks and food were good except the steak. It didn't taste fresh and reminded me of a chain restaurants like Applebee's.

I used to come here a few years ago before Marty took over as GM. Beer list started solid, but got stagnant. Food was okay, always seemingly missing salt. Now with Marty guiding the ship, beer list is ever changing, food is incredible, cocktail list and mocktails are awesome too. Just had the best fish fry of my life. Service was great. Both thumbs up!

This was my first time going to The Dockside. When we arrived we were sat almost immediately which was great. Our server was super quick and very helpful. I was there with a friend and we both had the Fish Fry which was fantastic. Overall it was a great place to check out and will definitely go back.

Everything was very good, we weren't satisfied with our tacos, the manager Collin came out recommended the prime rib tacos. Which were very good. We also had clams casino, chicken fingers and fries. Topped the evening off with the raspberry & blue cheese cake, soft and creamy it was delicious.

This is the first time we have been to the dockside since the renovation. I had heard it was really expensive so we just never went. Well, it is not expensive and the food was amazing!! We got burgers and they were huge! Best burger I have had in a while. The fries were really good too! Our waitress was great! We definitely will return. I can't wait to try the fish fry!

5 stars all around. Incredible food. Awesome atmosphere. Both times I've been there I had different servers and they were equally as friendly & helpful. I cannot recommend their fish fry enough. SOOOO GOOOOOD!

After years of being frequent patrons, including multiple times a week through the summer, I can say we will never be back again. The woman at your front door treated our party with such disrespect that we enjoyed dinner down the street. Quite shocking and totally out of your establishment's character. New hire, maybe? Definitely not a good look for you guys.

My husband and I absolutely loved our dinner at Dockside. We only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Every was very friendly. Several servers were being trained as several different ladies visited our table, but each of them were fantastic. What a fun place to eat and the food was fantastic! We wished we had a great place like this in our hometown!

The atmosphere was nice, staff was pleasant, the menu was a little boring or bland, only one or 2 things I've never heard of or tried...so I tried one...the presentation and description was very delightful and tasty looking...however...was very unimpressive tasting. The long island iced tea was not very good and was reflected in the low price. The mangotini was delicious as well as the Ferrero rochet pie....even though it looked like a basic chocolate mousse style pie with Ferrero rochet crumbles....

First time there. Very busy so we did not get a table "canal-side". Also our table was under a music speaker, so our ability to converse was somewhat limited. Servers both in the bar and outside were Phenomenal! Will go back again without hesitation. Kudos to our outside waitress Alicia.

We were seated at the upper level balcony. This is a great place to enjoy a meal on a beautiful day. Strongly suggest the Popcorn Shrimp Appetizer!
