Went
on
the
Civic
Holiday
weekend
in
2023.
Had
been
there
twice
before
and
always
a
joy
to
visit.
Hundreds,
maybe
thousands
of
butterflies
in
this
large
conservatory.
It
was
quite
crowded
the
weekend
we
went
and
I
wished
that
they
would
have
issued
schedule
time
entry
tickets
to
manage
the
crowds.
Having
been
there
previously
during
winter
and
early
spring,
the
experience
is
vastly
different
and
more
meditative
with
fewer
people
between
you
and
the
butterflies.
Nonetheless,
it's
a
charming
experience
that
both
adults
and
children
will
love.
There's
something
about
a
butterfly
landing
on
you
or
a
family
member
that
makes
everyone
deliriously
giddy
and
take
a
photo!.
Many
different
species
of
butterflies
from
small
to
huge.
I
don't
recall
seeing
a
photo
or
legend
of
the
different
species,
but
I
probably
missed
itml.
Would
budget
at
least
an
hour
to
an
hour
and
a
half
in
the
conservatory.
The
surrounding
Botanical
gardens
are
beautiful
as
well
-
there
beautiful
flowers,
fruit
and
veggies
growing
if
you
explore
a
bit.
You
can
easily
spend
another
1.5
to
3
hours
exploring
the
garden
too.
