Visited on 21-June-2022: Its a must watch attraction during your visit to the Niagara Falls. It offers you to watch the furry of the Niagara river from a very close view point in the gorge. Ancient rocks on both sides of the gorge not only offer a mesmerizing view but also a respite from the heat on a warm summer day due to their low temperature. Parking is available on the road and in the specified lot (3$CAD/h). An elevator takes you down the gorge (23 storeys). As soon as you come out of the elevator you feel the coldness of rocks, which has caused the air to condense on the surface of the rock (you can feel the water droplets by touching the rock while walking in the tunnel). Most Importantly, you don't need to do any hike to enjoy this view, so its very family friendly and perfect for all ages. Minimum 30-min are needed to finish the entire board walk but for taking pictures and to enjoy the moment, anywhere from 1-1.5h should be enough. There is no official time limit on the time spent here. If you feel very hot on a warm day and want to go back to your hotel, better to go here as you will feel a totally different weather down there. Tickets can be purchased on site (17$-Adult) but better to check online for updated info before heading out due to Covid (A Niagara Pass is also available that includes more attractions, so you can check which option suits you better).

My visit to the White Water Walk at Niagara was truly awe-inspiring. The natural beauty of the roaring rapids and the sheer power of the water was a sight to behold. Walking along the boardwalk and getting up close to the turbulent waters was a thrilling experience. The well-maintained pathway and informative plaques provided interesting insights into the geological history of the area. It's a peaceful escape from the bustling tourist attractions around Niagara Falls, allowing you to connect with nature and appreciate the raw force of the river. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just looking for a tranquil moment in the midst of this natural wonder, the White Water Walk is definitely worth a visit.

An awesome must see when you visit Niagara Falls. Do yourself a favor and don’t just see the Falls and go home. Make sure you visit White Water Walk. It’s not far from the Falls and doesn’t take too long to enjoy it. You will take a quick elevator down 20 stories and emerge right at the roaring river’s edge. It is only then will you appreciate the power and beauty it the Mighty Niagara River. These are the highest rated (6) white water rapids there are. This adventure will show you why they are rated so high. You will continue to take an easy walk along the boardwalk stopping at some areas that allow you to venture out onto a deck to get right up to the river and feel and hear its power. I can’t stress enough how great an experience this is and please don’t skip it when you visit the Falls. There is a small gift shop, prices seemed reasonable. Also make sure you ask for a parking pass for your dashboard so you don’t have to pay to park. There are about a dozen spots out front. There were some large lots across the street but I cannot say if it’s ok to park there as they may be private lots. Lastly there are some very informative plaques located as you get off the elevator and along the boardwalk. Take the time to read them and you’ll find out why the water is green and why a dog survived the rapids but his owner didn’t among other interesting facts.

An awesome experience 👏... It's a walk of minimum 20-25 mins ( Depends on how you enjoy the place . If you are much interested in nature with water sound and the view of water flow then you may take half a day too 😜) And an unexpected thing is .. to enter the white water walk area you need to enter via a shop. Once you enter there is an elevator which can hold around 10-12 people . Once reaching the down area then it's a small tunnel of may be 50-75 meters. And yes you are in Riverside.. Then towards left ..(down ward of River flow ) an awesome experience 😁

I purchased packages ticket which is included this place tour. Took Wego green line to here. 10-15 minutes walk , amazing view to see blue sky and clear river to feel how wonderful the Heavenly Father created it. Couple minutes driven from the fall, worthy to go.

White water walk is just beautiful! It’s worth one visit. The gushing of the water, the speed at which it flows, the green colour of the water due to salts and minerals flowing with it. The wonderfully shaped rocks are a witness to the erosion. The gushing sound is so loud yet you feel peaceful here. The ticket is for 17 dollars plus tax. You have to go down the lift and the lady there mentioned we go 23 storeys down. Then you have to walk in a tunnel which is cold. Advice: Go there on a weekday.

This walk was AMAZING!! We bought tickets ahead of time and went on a Saturday at around 6 p.m. The lighting around this time was beautiful!! As most tourists were at the falls, the attraction wasn't too crowded. It has been there for a lot of years, but it is not well advertised. Definitely a must see "Hidden Gem"! The roar of the rapids was exhilarating, while the breathtaking views were a photographer's dream. I highly recommend going here at least once in your life! It is not dangerous and you won't get wet. :)

Please do not miss this opportunity and walk!!!! I came here today on a very short time limit, the only reason I went in because the admission ticket was included to my fun pass . I am glad I chose to come , it was an amazing, breathtaking experience. The walk path was kind of short I wish it would have been longer but the scenery was just mesmerizing , witnessing the power of the water was incredible and scary . Staff was all friendly and informative. So don't miss this opportunity and experience the White Water Walk !!!

It is a great walk, very calming nature beauty. Parking is free if you are paying for attraction. Form the ticket window they will give a parking token. Elevator will take you down close to water walk. It is a great place to walk and sit by the river. There is no water fountain or anything so if you think you need water or snack than go prepared.

First time at this attraction. Bought tickets in advance, but you are able to buy at the location as well. Our time was for 930a, we got there at 945a and they let us down. No line up, just had to wait for the elevator to come up and get us. Boardwalk was a little shorter than I thought it was gonna be, but the views of the river as you walk is great. Get to really see how strong the currents are. Attraction has multiple places for photoshoots with a larger one at the end with seating. Would recommend to have a short picnic and walk.

What an awesome experience. Not far from Niagara Falls so manage your plan to visit this beautiful area. This is one of the wildest rivers with vibrant green colour and 48km/h which is breast taking. Highly recommended. If you buy your ticket online, you should stay in line to print then go to another line for elevator( waiting around 30min because there is only one elevator). Then you come 23 stories down to pass a cold tunnel around 50M to the river. Better to bring your own water but if you forgot there is a small store next to elevator or two refrigerator vending kiosks for selling soft drinks at the end of the tunnel. It would be nice to bring your own small snack, there are some benches and garbage bin there. All the boardwalk is shaded even in the noon, totally around 200M oneway and it takes 30min easy walk ( family friendly) but for taking photos and enjoying time it would be 1or 2 hours. Admission fee for adult is 17$ and 11.25$ for child. No time limit. Parking is available in the road for 3$ per hour but it will be full quickly so go early. There is a free parking lot in whirlpool aero+ washrooms but 700M walking to whitewater river. No washrooms in the whitewater.Small store next to elevator.

Picked up the Adventure Pass at the Welcome Centre. This pass gets you into the White Water Walk, Niagara's Fury, behind the Falls and a 2 day bus pass on the WeGo bus. It's a straight forward site, you walk down the damp cool tunnels to get to the bridge that runs parallel to the water. It's a relaxing walk with a few stops to get closer to the water and get some nice shots. Nothing spectacular but relaxing and worth checking off your list. I'd recommend you save this site as one of your last stops as there are more interesting activities like the boat cruise that takes you right to the base of the falls.

We did his walk with my 70-year old father and 10-year old son. My father does not have major mobility issues. The boardwalk only had one spot with stairs, but it's right at the end and only if you want to be a bit closer to the water at the last lookout. The walk is slanted down was you walk to the end, but it's a gentle slope. Most of the walk was shaded when we went (right at opening in the morning). We all enjoyed walking alongside the fast moving rapids. It was a great experience.

Absolutely beautiful. The views are breathtaking. The river is unbelievably fast and powerful. The price is reasonable, the elevator is pretty quick, and the tunnel to the river is not too long. There is a snack cart at the base and 2 vending machines. There are a good number of photos and signs with historic facts, geography info, water details, etc. There is I formation on wildlife, fish, daredevils, and the train that used to go through the canyon.

The river is beautiful from this boardwalk. We almost skipped it thinking it wouldn't be much different than the other views. I'm glad we didn't! This might have been my favorite part of our trip! Both the river side and cliff side were stunning. The boardwalk itself is in excellent condition. Highly recommend!

White Water Walk in Niagara is an awe-inspiring experience that immerses you in the raw power and beauty of the Niagara River. The boardwalk allows you to get up close to the turbulent rapids, providing a unique perspective on nature's force. The views are breathtaking, and you can feel the mist on your face as you witness the river's untamed energy. The guided tour is informative and adds depth to the encounter, explaining the geological and historical significance of the area. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or just looking for a memorable adventure, White Water Walk is a must-visit attraction that showcases the natural wonders of Niagara in all their glory.

Very nice walk to get up and close with the falls!! It's well maintained and a nice view of the river. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the end, and there are various spots to take pictures. I did this as a bundle with various other falls attractions. Also, you will probably want to take the bus here, because it's a bit far of a walk from the falls area!

Very beautiful wooden trail that is less than 2km in total. Just next to it is the beautiful water of niagara falls. Some of the decks are closed for security purpose but overall its really great experience.

An elevator takes you down to walkways and viewing viewing platforms along the Niagara River’s Class 6 whitewater rapids. Amazing to see where tightrope walkers, swimmers and other daredevils have challenged the river. Many times the river took their lives. Self-Guided, good signage. Park in lot across street, included in admission. If you have Niagara Parks Parking pass, that also is veiled. Admission is included in both Niagara Falls Adventure Pass and Niagara Falls Pass or can be purchased separately.

Very nice place, you walk by the niagara waters. Make sure to get the pass, I paid 99 canadian dollars and it included the main attractions plus the bus to go from one attraction to the other. I dont recommend you to go walking from one place to another because the distances are long!

Many of the Niagara area attractions and natural features would be difficult to get to without an elevator or some other assisted way to descend and ascend. If a person did try adventuring on their own, more time would be needed. So the visitor attraction centers make it faster and easier to see more of the area. The White Water Walk offers a way to safely see the river up close from a well-maintained trail and boardwalk. The power and beauty of the water is really amazing up close. We visited just before the start of the season, so it was probably a little less crowded than usual. Even during peak season it probably doesn't get too crowded at these attractions because they only allow a set number of people in every hour and you schedule your visit ahead of time.

After seeing all the hype on Instagram we decided to go to this place after paying ~15-17 CAD per person. We thought that it would be long walk. Reality - The place and view is really nice but the walk is very short . Hardly 500-700 meters one way. I personally did not find it worth as compare to price charged. Plus this is in opposite direction from Niagara falls so if you are in car you need to pay parking charges.

I always to see the rapids up close and be safe. I must have passed by thus ace hundreds time. Now I know about it, I had to go. "White Water Walk" is the place where you can immerse yourself into it. We went down the elevator; 70m deep and it took only 30 seconds. You walk through this cool tunnel (great for a hot day). At the end of the tunnel, you can hear and see the rapids. So tranquil. You can walk downtown the beautiful boardwalk which takes you along the gorge. So many spots for great op. Take your time and enjoy the sound of water crashing against the rock. This is everyone needs to visit when you are in Niagara Falls. It costs $17 per person. Go early and have a time of your life.

Such a beautiful place and experience - totally worth the trip! However, the trail is quite short and I do find it a bit expensive to pay $17/person. If you're planning on making a day of it - I would recommend looking into purchasing Niagara Falls Passes from niagaraparks.com because it includes a lot more experiences and will probably save you money in the long run.

The white water walk is pretty neat, and a must see attraction in Niagara Falls. The trail runs alongside the mighty Niagara river, and features class 6 white water rapids. Being so close to them was exhilarating to say the least. We could practically FEEL the force of the river flowing right beside us! I’d certainly would suggest making this a stop if you are visiting the falls. The trail itself was shorter than I thought it would be, but the viewing platforms bring you right up close to the river. At the time of our visit, some of the extended viewing platforms were closed, but that did not take away from the adventure.

While most will rave on about how mighty and strong Niagara Falls itself is, if there was ever a place to witness the raw power of the Niagara River's rapids, this is the place. This attraction is not to be missed. The walkway allows visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with otherwise dangerous off-the-chart rapids. Standing near the roaring water will literally suck the air out of your lungs. Prepare to be exhilarated, and probably get splashed with water. There are photo opportunities galore. You can walk at your own pace, and go as long (or short) as you/your group prefers. Again, this experience is NOT to be missed. In my experience, there's nothing else like this in the Niagara region or anywhere else! Visited in August 2012

You begin by going down 120 feet by elevator (which can be quite a wait depending on the day and time), and when the doors open you're greeted with a boardwalk that runs directly alongside the Niagara rapids. The entire boardwalk can be completed in about 20-30 minutes, and the walk includes multiple areas along the way where you can take stairs down to a lower area. This is great area for pictures and to fully immerse yourself in the Niagara experience.

so beautiful and scenic. this was prob my favourite thing to do in Niagara. the colour of the water is vibrant and the current is so fast. this is a very nice place for pictures. I went early in the morning to avoid crowds especially bc the boardwalk is quite narrow (see picture).

This white water walk was incredible!! We purchased tickets in advance and attended on a Saturday around 2 p.m. I would suggest to purchase the PASS if you are visiting multiple places at Niagara Falls which will help you to get a ride in GO GREEN buses for free. Because they only allow the PASS to get on these buses. The lighting and weather was stunning about this time!! The site was not overcrowded because most people were viewing the falls. It has been there for a long time, although it is not well known. Definitely a "Hidden Gem" that must be seen! The roar of the rapids was thrilling, and the breathtaking scenery was a photographer's dream. I strongly advise you to visit here at least once in your life! It is not hazardous, and you will not get wet.:)

The share power of the river that feeds Niagara Falls will terrify you. The speed, the quantity of the water, flowing through is breathtaking. The sound and size of a naturally occurring sight make you stand with awe. Niagara has surpassed my expectations and then some. This is a trip about natural occurring phenomenons, and Niagara easily ranks as one of the wonders of the world.

A unique experience awaits those interested in observing the powerful white-water rapids of the Niagara River up close. There are informative displays available for those who want to learn more about the geology and history of the area. This is not an adrenaline-pumping adventure; rather, it is more focused on natural scenery and is ideal if you want to immerse yourself in the soothing sounds and sights of the river. Considering the longer wait time and shorter boardwalk, I felt that the overall experience didn't justify the entrance fee. The timed ticket system is frustrating; despite having a reservation, you still have to stand in a long line. It doesn't make any sense. Additionally, there is only one lift that takes you to the gorge, so be prepared to wait.

The White Water Walk in Canada is a captivating and exhilarating experience that takes you on a unique journey along the raging rapids of the Niagara River. As I embarked on this adventure, I was immediately struck by the sheer power and intensity of the white water. The boardwalk that winds along the river provides unobstructed views of the turbulent rapids below. The rushing waters, crashing against the rocks and creating frothy white waves, create a thrilling spectacle that is both awe-inspiring and humbling. The sound of the rushing water fills the air, immersing you in the natural symphony of the river. The walk itself is well-maintained and offers several observation platforms strategically placed to provide different perspectives of the rapids. These platforms allow you to get closer to the water and truly appreciate the incredible force at play. Informational signs along the way provide interesting facts about the geology, history, and natural features of the area, enhancing the educational aspect of the walk.

A really great place to visit if you are in Niagara falls. I was a bit hesitant as the entrance fee is around 17$ for an adult but the previous reviews convinced me to give it a try and they were right! It is incredible and you really feel the power of the water! Plus it is way less crowded than the falls and can be a great way to end your day there!

This place is breathtaking! The view is amazingly tranquil. I felt like I was very close to nature and felt much better than beaches. Definitely worth it even though it’s a short walk! There was no wait and it was not crowded even on long weekend. For people who think it’s not worth it, they would be better off with the pass. Parking is paid but if you go further ahead, there is free parking at a plaza and whirlpool Aero car parking and it’s only 10 minutes walk from there.

“WHITE WATER WALK” This is one of the must visit place in Niagara Falls town. I have visited Niagara so many times but didn’t know about this place and believe me I loved it on my first visit. Recommend time is 15 minutes but you can stay there as long as you want. Not too crowded. Take your time , click pictures, get mesmerized by the color and sound of the water , read all the amazing facts and sit and relax your mind and soul. The tickets are not that expensive you can buy online or also you can buy on the spot , don’t worry you won’t have to stand in long wait line.

Great experience to see Class 6 rapids. Parking is free and part of your admission ($17/adult). Tickets can be purchased on site or online. Staff are friendly. There's 1 elevator and staff take you down. Takes about 15-20 mins to walk to the end of the boardwalk. It gets windy and cool during the walk. There's also a small gift shop.

Elevator ride down 70 meters to a tunnel and connecting boardwalk overlooking a large stretch of Whirlpool Rapids flowing by at a speed of 48 km/hr. Takes about an hour to walk alongside the rapids and enjoy an excellent view of the 410-million-year-old rock layers of the Niagara Gorge. The Boardwalk beside the rapids is 305 metres (1,000 feet or 1/4 mile) and stairs lead to two observation areas at the edge of the River. **Restrooms available near checkin counter **Plenty of Parking **WeGo Green South bound bus stops **Buy the Niagara attractions pass to save money **Vending machines available

Lovely place to visit- especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the falls but still enjoy natures beauty and power. My son and I quite enjoyed all the pictures and reading the facts/history posted there about the area. I am definitely glad that we made it one of our stops while we were in the area.

The walk is only for 15-20mins along the side of Niagara. Basically a boardwalk. We thought it would be a long trail of walk but unfortunately it wasn’t. Paid 18$ per adult for just short walk wasn’t worthy enough. They take you via lift 200 storeys down and from there through a tunnel you go to the boardwalk. There are 2-3 points where you can stand and take some pics. If you have adventure passes, it is included in that. But buying separate tickets is expensive.

I loved this place. Trail is not that long around 400 to 500m but View is worth seeing it. We have booked our tickets in advance for the weekend to avoid line ups and we went in the morning so it was not crowdy. parking is not free they charge minimum $5 for one hour but I have heard that if you go little further down the hill you can find free parking there.

Great close up view of the Class 6 rapids that you can't get elsewhere in the area. The walk is not long, maybe 15 minutes if not stopping, with several overlook points. We saw a small raccoon grooming during our trek. Parking is free and overflow is across in the Buddha temple lot.

Wonderful little excursion. You descend 26 stories to the waters edge. The sound of the water rushing by is extremely relaxing. New work and platforms added. Don’t worry it’s not a very long hike. Just lots of beautiful nature to take in.

This place is amazing. It is a conservation area with water moving at great speeds and creating waves. Very relaxing and quiet. Despite being a father-day weekend, was easy and well-organized to enter. No matter how many rapids you've seen in movies, nothing compares to the real experience. Highly Recommended!
