Wow! What a great experience! No need to shower on the day you plan to visit, you'll get soaked (especially on the lower deck)! You do get a poncho, but your shoes will get wet! You'll get to get up close and personal with the falls, traveling right up next to them! Lots of photo ops along the way! The boat ride is about 20 minutes long and it's worth every minute! After the ride, disembark, and and enjoy a drink right at the foot of the falls at the one of cafes and listen to local artists play familiar songs. My family loved this experience and we highly recommend this experience for you, your family, and friends! Enjoy!

Such a typical tourist destination but it is a must do when you go to Niagara falls. Something about feeling the wind and the splash of the fall so close up wearing your funny raincoat! My parents loved it too. So nice to know that Canada has a better view than US! 😆

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Niagara City Cruises. The boat tour offers an up-close encounter with the majestic Niagara Falls. Feeling the mist on my face and witnessing the falls' sheer power is an unforgettable experience. A must-do for anyone visiting Niagara Falls!

What a Breathtaking 20min Experience!!! It's an ideal tourist experience for anyone visiting the Majestic Niagara Falls. I've been to the Hornblower cruise a few times now and it's always amazing. Definitely prepare for the adrenaline rush when you get closer the the Horseshoe falls. The views are amazing & the entire journey is extremely beautiful. Definitely recommend booking tickets while standing in the lineup to avoid waiting times. Once you have the ticket, its usually quick to get onto the Ship.

The Journey to the Falls was the highlight of my trip to Niagara Falls. Our wait wasn't long, we went around 11 am. It is so impressive how they built a structure to get down to the water from up top, just getting down was an adventure. It would be nice to have a covered waiting area, because the hot sun and the ponchos don't mix well. The ride was long enough to enjoy and quick enough you weren't tired from standing. I absolutely loved this adventure.

One of the best experiences in my life! Niagara falls are listed amongst the wonders of the world and i am so happy and blessed to live that moment! I suggest to book your tickets online. The morning times are better so you can enjoy and have lunch in the boardwalk after the cruise. A poncho is offered. Everything was well-organized.

This company was very professional, fast, and provided a good overall experience. The price was also very reasonable. Had lots of choices for snacks while waiting and large bathroom facility. The only thing is we did not get as close as expected. My friends and I were on the very front of the boat and barely got a mist on us. Overall would recommend.

This is an experience not to be missed. The iconic boat ride that takes you close to the falls is an awesome one. Take the ride when the sun's out and you will see the most beautiful rainbow ever. It's worth every penny. Great for all ages. If someonr is scared to get wet, you could choose to sit inside; not many people do that though. Its so much fun to feel the falls on your face. The pics are not even 10% of what it is in real.

Despite the relatively high price tag of $37 with tax, I must say it was absolutely worth every penny. The chance to witness the falls up close and personal was an incredible experience that I won't soon forget. However, there were a few things I wish I had known beforehand. Firstly, I expected to get wet during the cruise, but I was not prepared for just how soaked I would become. It felt like a torrential downpour, and I was completely drenched and pounded with water. If you decide to take the cruise, I highly recommend not wearing running shoes, as they will get soaked. I wore sandals, and that proved to be a much better choice. If you do wear running shoes, make sure to put bags over them to protect them from water damage. The cruise does provide plastic ponchos, which are helpful. If you decide to wear long sleeves, be aware that the parts of your sleeves that aren't covered by the poncho will get wet. Consider wearing a raincoat to stay extra dry. We stood at the side top part of the boat, and we were absolutely drenched. It was quite a hilarious experience, and we couldn't stop laughing, but it was definitely worth it for the thrill. All in all, I would say that the Niagara cruise was one of the most worthwhile touristy things I did at the falls. Seeing the sheer power and beauty of the falls made for an unforgettable adventure. Just make sure to come prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing, and be ready for a soaking wet but exhilarating experience!🌊

We booked our tickets in advance, and the time on the ticket was within a half hour. They give you a pancho to wear on the boat, because you do get wet. You get soaked actually. I suggest not wearing nice sneakers or anything that you don’t want to get wet. No matter where you stand on the boat, you will get soaked. We did the morning board, but the boat seems to have all different times throughout the day. The experience lasted Hiabout 20-25minutes, and wow was it ever worth it! Such a cool experience. Highly recommend!

Loved it, I went in May just before memorial day. It wasn't busy, I was suprised I got so wet. You'll definitely need a poncho, they give you one for free, but of course since the price of the ride wat like 32 dollars.

The cruise lasts for about 20-25 minutes and is worth the wait... They show you both the falls (US and Canada side) I'd say the Canadian side is much better with a amazing 180° view of the falls and a misty spray that will drench you!! You need to carry a ziplock bag in case you want to take videos with your mobile. The best time is to go on a weekday after 5, that's when there's the least rush and you get the whole cruise to yourself!

Buy tickets online so you can avoid the long ticket booth lines! Instead head straight for the boat entrance, the wait was only 15 minutes. Before boarding you'll get your ticket scanned, picture taken, and receive a poncho. You'll definitely get wet wearing the poncho because it's only knee length. The ride is about 20 minutes but that was more than enough, since your brought directly into the Horseshoe Falls & Niagara Falls. By the time I got back to the entrance only my sneakers were wet. This was a solo trip and I had alot of fun. Though the ride is short, it's a great way to see the falls up close and personal. Would recommend to any first timer!

Having a great experience with the tour. There are designated parking areas, the closest ones tend to get filled up quickly. We park the car a little further from the view point and walk to cruise office (about 0.7mile). So plan you trip accordingly, weather is another factor to consider when visit Niagara Falls especially if you love taking photos since it get rain and cloudy even in Summer. Note: you can also reserve the tickets online

You can buy tickets online or at kiosk. The self service is so easy and quick. Make sure you don’t wait in line with people who want to buy tickets at kiosk. There is a self service on the other side of the small ticket selling box. You can pay with card. The boat experience is only 20 minutes long, but it’s really cool. ~$38 incl. HST If you want to get wet, make sure you have shoes that can get wet. If you plan to walk a lot after the boat tour, bring a 2nd pair of shoes 😃 Great experience!

We had so much fun on the Hornblower. I definitely recommend this as a great family adventure. You get real up close and personal with the Horseshoe falls, and it's intense. Protip- Stay on the 1st level and go directly to the bow or the boat. 10 outta 10.

This boat ride was so much fun, and an experience like no other. Expect lots of water, but the ponchos they provide will keep you relatively dry. The loading and unloading process was very efficient, and the ride length was just right. Highly recommended to anyone who wants an up close introduction to the falls.

If it's your first time in Niagara or you haven't tried this yet, you'd better plan it for the next summer. You can get the ticket online. You'll be given panchoes to protect from the water. Then you'll get on the cruise and the journey starts. It gets so close to the falls. So ve ready for getting wet. Better to stand in the middle of the top level of the cruise. It has the best view in my opinion. Photoes were taken last summer.

Very organized and well priced. The tickets can be booked online in advance and this reduces your waiting in line time I advise that you wear flip flops or sandals as your shoes will be soaked. Also if you want to take pictures would be great if you got the water proof plastic sac for the phone

*wet clothes alert* This is an amazing experience that you don’t want to miss! Why? Because you get the opportunity to almost touch the horseshoe fall as the boat literally dives in it!!! It is best if you reserve your spot online as it will make you skip the line and the crowd! Definitely a must do in Niagara. Also the tickets are not too pricey and they are worth the experience!

The boat tour was an awesome way to take in breathtaking views and feel the cool mist of the falls in the summer heat. The tour lasts for about 15 minutes and takes you right into the falls to make things feel up close and personal. Would recommend to anyone trying to get a bang for their buck.

Great experience! Be prepared to get VERY wet… the ponchos might help 25% 😆 but you’ll still get wet! Wear flip flops if you can, put your wallet in a zip lock bag. But it’s great. Really feel the power of the falls, and the views of the river walls are gorgeous. Food (burgers, dogs, etc) and entertainment are available near the docking level. Cost is decent — $125 for a family of four. Worth it.

The hornblower ride is worth it, and I highly recommend going on this boat ride if you are in Niagara Falls. It is the real experience and the closest you can get to the falls. There are also excellent views and it is very enjoyable. You will be given a pink poncho, but expect to get wet, especially when you get close to the falls. Water can plash in high pressures onto your face, so be prepared. I would definitely come here again.

The Falls is undoubtedly the best part of Niagara, and the water is a boundary between the USA and Canada. The view of the fall can be appreciated when standing in Canada. There's a boat available to take tourists closer to the water and get a feel of the waterfall. Crossover to 2024, there's just a 10 minutes fireworks display at the Falls, and people start to leave. For me, I felt a little disappointed cos I had high expectations.

Great trip to Niagara Falls. Had lots of fun and the staff was great. Very short wait, the entire thing from ticket to boat was about 5 minutes. The falls were amazing up close. Definitely recommend.

  • 5/5 Ruchi P. 2 years ago on Google
The cruise staff is super friendly. It is advisable to have extra pair of footwear as you will surely get wet even though they provide a poncho to wear. The ride on the boat is mind boggling. Those 20 minutes felt like magic. You will feel the power of water standing so close to the falls. The sound of the water is so soothing, I didn’t want to come back at all haha. Also, don’t forget to enjoy the beauty while capturing memories.

  • 5/5 Veronica K. 2 years ago on Google
Super fun. Bring your own snacks for after as they have a place you can sit, eat, and listen to live music exclusively. Niagara Falls is beautiful and absolutely lovely to see up close. Going there around the hottest part of the day will cool you off.

  • 5/5 Matthew S. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing! Awesome! Stunning! What a memorable experience! Be sure to bring an extra pair of socks/shoes because you’ll definitely get wet from the waist down hahaha maybe just wear sandals? Totally worth it though to feel the raw power of the falls!

  • 5/5 Araash C. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience that lives up to the hype. Your clothes will get wet, but that is one of the best parts of this ride. This is somewhere you can go once every 10 years and have a new experience every time. This tour could use some better education as I would like if they taught us about the falls a bit while doing this boat ride, it would help people that are not from the area.

  • 5/5 Emma E. 2 years ago on Google
This was SUCH an incredible experience!!! So amazing to just sit inside the falls for a few minutes and experience it in all its grandeur. Looking at the falls from above is cool but getting to actually be up close and personal was an unforgettable experience. If you have a few hours in Niagara this needs to be on your list!!

  • 4/5 Sean F. 2 years ago on Google
It was fun but obviously it gets quite wet. You get great views of the falls from the boat and it's easy to move around to get better views or get away from being soaked. The ponchos they provide keep you dry from your shorts and up but if you have cargo shorts make sure your valuables are in your front or rear pockets to ensure they stay dry. It's exciting to feel the force of the falls. This is something you should do at least once in your life :) enjoy!

  • 5/5 Tristan R. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely recommend going on the hornblower when visiting Niagara. The tour is a great way to learn about the falls and see them up close. You WILL get wet but it is worth it!

Went during fall last year, and it was a super fun and unforgettable experience. Was soaked despite having the poncho due to the wind and splashes from the fall, but the view down at the cruise is very different. Everything was super organized and you can prebook your tickets online. Price is also very reasonable. If you haven’t been to Niagara Falls before, I highly recommend doing the cruise at least once to experience the power of the fall and catch a glimpse of the fall rainbow!

  • 5/5 Namitha N. 9 months ago on Google
I loved the boat cruise! I had booked for it weeks before and it made it easier to cut short our line. They gave us free poncho and took us to both the falls, as near as possible. Thankfully in June, its summers and we had a bright sunny day on our visit. They have a cafe to have snacks after the trip. I rate it 10/10

My recent trip with Niagara City Cruises was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable. Getting up close to Niagara Falls was the highlight - the power and beauty were awe-inspiring. The boat had great views from the open deck. The audio guide was helpful, adding interesting information about the falls. The booking process was easy, and they took safety seriously. I highly recommend Niagara City Cruises for an unforgettable experience at Niagara Falls!

Loved it from the Canadian side of the niagara falls as US has the best view. The cruise experience itself is so mesmerizing but it is very crowded whenever you go in there. Management is good and elevator services gets closed by 6pm ET. Highly recommended and would be going there again.

  • 5/5 nic m. 9 months ago on Google
I love that it loops around so all guests get a good view. Fun tour, similar to the US side. The line moves quick. If the boat's crowded wait until the end when everyone piles out head the opposite way for unobstructed photos and breathtaking views! Expect your legs and feet to get wet on the top deck. :)

We bought a tour package and Niagara Falls boat tour is in our package. We didn't have to stay inline long. Boat tour is pleasant and quick. I love it when we all got splashed at the Falls. That's when I knew I actually get close to the Falls. Overall, I like this tour and recommend this tour. To me, price is reasonable.

My ride was at 12:30 pm, but I arrived one hour before. I was able to go in at that time. This was a great experience, and the boat got deep in the mist of the falls, and I felt like getting water baptized by the Creator of them, God! Thank you, I did enjoy it very much 🥰❤️

  • 5/5 Luis A. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing experience. Picked the first ride of the day and seem to have a less busier crowd than the afternoon but ample space aboard for views. Traveled with my wife, and three kids (10,5,3). They all loved it. Obviously you will get wet so my only recommendation is to wear sandals. This is a must do when visiting

  • 5/5 Richard T. 1 year ago on Google
Took this boat ride in May 2022. It was a great experience. Very well organized. Although very wet, I did not end up drenched as the poncho they provided worked quite well. Should bring a waterproof casing for camera and phone. Be prepared to take photos of the many rainbows that appear as the boat turns and draws nearer the falls. There are a few levels to stand on the boat. Any level will provide a good view of the fall.

Excellent customer service. Accidentally purchased two extra tickets and despite the tickets being non refundable and the fact that I did not purchase the additional insurance that allows for refunds, they refunded the tickets immediately. No hassle, just sent them an email explaining the situation and they emailed back within minutes confirming the refund. The experience itself is obviously a must while visiting. You see the falls up close and we captured some beautiful photos.

We had an incredible visit to the falls today. Captain Hannah and crew went out of their way to be kind and polite to my family. They are very skilled Marine professionals. What an exciting experience. We moved quickly and efficiently through the queue. It was a great experience.

The BEST way to see the falls and experience it. I mean it. They take you into the falls where you spend some time being able to take pictures/videos, and then you can spend some time in front of the falls having a small bite and drinks. Definitely worth it

  • 5/5 Sanal K. 1 year ago on Google
One of the top touristy things to do in Canada. It never disappoints us. They have frequent rides every 20mins so wait times are pretty minimal. Before you board you will be given complimentary ponchos. Keep your cameras and lenses in a bag under the poncho as the ride gets very misty. The ride circles first via Niagara Gorge and turns along the American and Bridal Veil Falls, and takes you to a wild run around Canadian Horseshoe Falls. When you reach the horseshoe the boat gets shaky and water pours on you from all sides. It is an epic experience and a one that you can cherish for your lifetime. Once returned you are welcomed with a gift shop and some cafes. The employees were polite and very professional in taking care of the whole process.Kudos to the team.

It was a blissful and breathtaking experience. You get the chance to sightseeing the Niagara falls from just some feet away in a cruise. I strongly recommend to book tickets online to skip the waiting time.

  • 5/5 Alexandra A. 1 year ago on Google
Awesome experience! I last did this years ago and this time around was even better than I remember. Barely any wait, we got the free ponchos, and we went so close to the falls. Definitely a staple activity if it’s your first time visiting the falls!!!!

  • 5/5 Anna 1 year ago on Google
Great! I can’t even imagine visiting Niagara Falls without taking a trip by ship. It was so much fun! Be beware - you will get wet even if you wear poncho, because the water drops are everywhere! It is really a remarkable experience, though. The ship gets as close to the falls, as possible, so it is even impossible to take photos when you are so close. We were there during the week days and a queue was not long, the ship runs every half an hour during high season.

  • 5/5 Diego A. 1 year ago on Google
The cruise takes you on an adventure next to the falls. You’ll get soaked and enjoy true bliss! Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to see the falls up close and to witness them in their true glory.
