I am glad this site is open free to the public. It is one location of the many squirmishes between the Canadian militia and American armies, and an important period of Canadian history in the early 1800s.

A simple but moving memorial commemorating those who fought and fell at the Battle of Chippawa. The parking area is small but free of charge and interpretive plaques near the stone memorial carin provide visitors with a basic understanding of how the battle unfolded. It is this simple layout that is the appeal. One is able to reflect, without distraction, as they look across the former battlefield and imagine what it may have looked like on that fateful day. Unfortunately, despite the presence of garbage cans, it would appear that some visitors fail to pick up after their pets and that drops this site to a 4/5.

Historic and important place. Self guided tour is good and it's a beautiful walk along the parkway in either direction. Also it was very nice to see the memorial to the fallen at the battle included Native warriors as well as those of the British and American forces.

A nicely preserved area with informative plaques that summarize the battle. The monument is impressive with donations from Fort George and Fort Niagara contributing to its construction. The information plaques are weathered which could use replacing. A historical site that is overall worth the trip but has potential to be improved.

A quiet, out of the way place with historic significance. Nicely done explanation of what happened and why it mattered. Really glad we noticed it and stopped to take a look.

Great historic site about the War of 1812. There is parking and it is wheelchair accessible, but there are no amenities. Part of the attraction along the Niagara Parkway.

My review is written form the viewpoint of a history buff that enjoys visiting battlefields. This is a nice field with some signage that explains the battlefield. There is a trail but devoid of signs along the trail .It would be better if there were more interpretive signs at various spots along the trail so one would get a sense of the battle and what occurred at the various locales.

It's a neat little place to learn about the Battle of Chippawa and I really like how the monument also honours the First Nations fighters on both sides. It's a shame they removed the First Nations flag, however.

Very informative. We went on a nice sunny day and had the park to ourselves. The information placards detail very nicely the historic events that occurred on this site. Parking is free.

If you like reading signs and staring at empty fields then this is the place for you! Don't advise summer visits because the ticks are pretty bad in the area

This is primarily a well kept field. A battle happened there. Not very interesting, but it delivers on the battlefield promise.

It's a start but needs more artifacts and possibly a trail with markers to give visitors a better understanding of what took place during the invasion of Canada.
