Hubby and I were actually going to another restaurant, but since we were so close we decided to stop at the Taj Grill, and I'm glad we did! The restaurant was much bigger than it looks from the outside and the ambiance was peaceful. The wait staff was wonderful and attentive, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back for more. I was going to take pictures, but honestly, once the food came out and we started eating, I forgot all about it. I'll snap some pics next time. If you decide to go you won't be disappointed.

Good food, service could have been better. We stopped here for dinner before heading to see Niagara Falls night illumination and ordered tomato soup first. The soup was really good, after that we ordered paneer kadhai, dal tadka and roti. Paneer kadhai tasted okayish to be honest, dal tadka was nice.

We ordered Chana bhatura, samosa chaat and gobhi paratha. Chana bhatura was fine as bhatura tastes like more of a poori, samosa chaat wasn't hot but the taste was wonderful and gobhi paratha was good too. Food portions were more than sufficient for two people. Excellent service.Overall it's a good place to take a bite and the best thing is they allow dine ins 😊

One of the best restaurants in buffalo for Indian food. We ordered plenty of dishes and everything was delicious 🤤. The service was commendable. They allowed us to dine after the closing time so we are grateful for that. The mango lassi was outstanding The chicken tikka masala and garlic naan combo was delicious The chicken sizzler was mouthwatering Gobi and samosa starter is a must try! We loved all the dishes and will definitely visit again. Authentic Indian food 🥘

I ordered vegetable korma to take out. The food was perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. Good portion and reasonable price. It’s by far one of the best Indian restaurants in the area and I will definitely be back. Thank you.

We were visiting Niagara Falls and decided to find a vegetarian-friendly Indian restaurant. After looking at a bunch of reviews, we settled on Taj Grill. We ordered Saag Paneer, Malai Kofta, Dal Makhani, Dum Aloo, Chhole Bhature, and Poppadom (both regular and Masala). The Saag Paneer was excellent (the paneer was soft and the gravy tasted great). Getting authentic Dal Makhani in the US that we enjoy has been very difficult but their preparation was very good. The Malai Kofta, Dum Aloo, and Chhole Bhature were all good, even though the recipe for the Dum Aloo tasted different than what we expected. Overall, we were happy with the dining experience. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and craving quality Indian food.

The place is nice and food presentation was good, but the service is very poor. The portions were very small for what we paid and we had to continually ask for things they were supposed to give us (example: water, tissues) in advance. Very pricy. Not suggesting this unless you want to try the food which was tasty.

One of the best restaurants in North Buffalo, hands down. After trying several other Indian restaurants over the years we hit up Taj a few years back and have never been anywhere else since. Whether you dine in or order out the quality is always top shelf. Absolutely love everything I've had here. If you want to give a try I suggest the chana masala, any vindaloo variation, and any appetizer you desire. Awesome people, awesome food.

Taj Grill is my favorite Indian restaurant in Buffalo. Descent table setting with fresh rose brings customers happy mood. The food is well prepared, the waiters work diligently to make sure customers' dining experiences are above just okay.

This place is my go-to for Indian food. No complaints at all. Plenty of options and prices are reasonable for tasty food. They appear to offer a room for large groups, maybe for a company dinner, kids birthday party, etc. The venue/decor itself are humble and conservative, don't expect thrills and wows, but should suffice for a nice family dinner or even a date night. In case you are wondering, they have no tv's, so you will need to stream your sporting event on your cell.

I rate this restaurant 5 stars. I ordered the butter chicken with rice. It was very good. The portion was generous, and I had plenty leftover to take home. I will definitely be back.

I just wanted to put more detail into this review after having a bad experience at another local Indian restaurant for take out. Taj Grill has really friendly servers. I remember going with a group of friends who were not familiar with Indian cuisine, and they asked a lotttt of questions lol about many of the dishes, but the server was really patient. He was on the younger side. I like that there are different spice levels for the food. I honestly would get it a little spicier next time because I like it hot ! I would certainly dine in at Taj Grill again because of their portion sizes and their customer service.

I don’t like to put bad reviews but had to coz what they did wasn’t right. 4 of us went there on Valentine Day we ordered 6 items and those 5 dishes that ordered wasn’t good at all. Wasn’t worth going there and spending money on those foods. But the most important thing was that our total supposed to be less then 95 dollars but they charged us 18% without telling us. They are not supposed to charge 18% unless there’s 5 people or more. So whoever go there make sure to check your receipt before paying.

By far my favorite place for Indian in Buffalo. The chicken mushroom is my favorite, but I’ve also had the chicken vindaloo and would recommend both any day. Since we’ve found this place, my wife and I have tried two other Indian restaurants and wished we’d ordered from Taj Grill instead each time. This is our go-to now.

I order two take out chicken biryani and one of biryani had Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Scrubbers pieces and I was shocked, thank god my wife find it before it went down to our stomach haha. I have never order anything from there since that incident. Look carefully before you eat.😁

To be honest, the food was good. But for the Bengali people out there who likes biriyani just remember this biriyani is slightly different than other biriyanis. Overall the experience was good. Would definitely suggest to people.

Wonderful food and service. We spent a couple hours catching up and never felt rushed. Not many tables filled, but it was a Thursday night and the rake out business was brisk. Food is delicious but on the mild side for me, so will probably order hot next time.

The food is authentic Indian Punjabi food. Chef is from Punjab, India. Having a North Paki background, its hard to come across food that suits our palate. We've tried many Pak-Indo restaurants in the Buffalo area, and this is right up there for us with Clay Handi.

Out of all the places to eat Indian/ Asian food in buffalo, I would say this one is the most authentic. I tried out the buffet and most of the dishes were nice, a good assortment and decently priced for the buffet. I would definitely recommend it for people wanting to try ethnic cuisine from India. I would suggest the owner to switch around some of the dishes in the buffet so that people like me keep coming back to try something new ! The only thing I would suggest is for the server to wait for people to finish their food before giving the bill - I think that is just rude

I have had Taj numerous times. I recommend this to everyone. Coming from a family with multiple Indian restaurant owners, this is by far the best. Customer service is always excellent. Food is amazing wether you dine in or take out.

Came at 9.10pm , we know late customers are annoying in food frenchise as we own one in our hometown, then also they welcomed us with really good gesture . We ordered multiple dishes from starter to main course at restaurant closing time , they let us enjoy our food nicely ! No hurry in closing restaurant at all . Food taste really good , we can say it's authentic Punjabi taste 😋. To us , their hospitality is above and beyond the mark ! Owners, Keep doing it ! Love from Kansas local

First of all amazing owner very friendly and very confident and thats what you need to run a business. The food was amazing, we ordered papri chat, malai kofta, and garlic naan for take out. We had 25 mins ride from buffalo to back home and all we smelt in our car was the amazing smell of food and everything had a different smell with different flavor the food just changed the whole atmosphere in my car and i haven't had best indian food in buffalo at any other place than taj grill. Papri chat for me was just too good i would rate 5/5 malai kofta 5/5. I am an indian uber driver in buffalo and I’ve tasted food from many different indian restaurant and highly recommend this place and I will definitely make sure all my passengers in buffalo know about this. I really dont write reviews but for me its all about customer service and this review is specially for the owner. Loved the food thank you so much 5🌟

If you like tasteless food with poor quantity with very bad service, its the perfect combination of all! Their quality and service are the poorest and it also signifies the racial disparities. You will pay the same price with 18% gratuity but will treated very differently depending on your race.

We ordered couple of starters for evening snack and the taste was very very disappointing. Veg manuchurian was not cooked at all, chilly chicken was basic, gave us curd which tasted like it was spoiled and complimentary rice which they gave was the only good thing.

Absolutely disappointed!! We are an Indian family that what Indian food is like. Our order was totally messed. First, the person hangs up the phone because he could not listen on his side. After we pick the food and get home, the food was not up to expectation. We have been regular customers there but this was the last time we will eat there.

Don't go there for Indian Biriyani or Indian Grills. I ordered Indian Chicken Biriyani, but what they brought was rice cooked or mixed with pre-cooked chicken tikka masala. No taste of biriyani, not worth. It's a peculiar taste. Waste of money and time. And, it's way expensive. Ain't going there ever in my life.

The food is good however the customer service sucks.. not friendly at all! I walked in at 4:30 pm with no acknowledgment the guy at the desk took multiple orders before mine then told me it will only take 20-25 minutes and actually I didn’t receive my order till a hour later and when I asked about my food the guy gave it to me with a dirty look and I spent $90 may I add!!!!

( SHORT VERSION IT WAS BEEPING GOOD FOOD )I got my food to go so it does not represent an actual Presentation ...as it would be dining in ..that said my chicken curry ..and butter chicken tasted great .....while it was 65 bucks for two portions of chicken curry and one portion of butter chicken ...by the time I ate the food ..I had forgotten the price cause it tasted amazing ..not that I am like an Indian food critic or something it was just really delicious to my pallet

I had been craving Indian food for quite a while and I was sort of disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. First things first, the food was good, can’t deny that; however the portion was very small for the prices that we were charged. The waiter barely gave us any attention and rarely checked in on us. Our drinks didn’t get refilled and the food took an extremely long time to come out with no communication. We paid a higher amount than what we expected to pay just so we can be satisfied and had to re-order food while eating. In conclusion, the prices were high, the portion was small but the quality was pretty good.

We were visiting Niagara falls in June and we were very hungry with the whole day site seeing. We wanted to have a nice Indian meal and we came here. We loved the ambience, the staff was cordial and the food was delicious and freshly cooked. Though the service was a bit slow but I believe that was because the restaurant was full and we were visiting it in the peak hour dinner time. The food compensated with the delay and service and there is no complaint as long as the food is fresh and delicious. I recommend this place for a wholesome experience.

Oky I really like the food here , I come here like twice or thrice every week , but today I was so disappointed for my take out order that I didn’t get fork or any spoon or not even any napkins and I called them To make sure if they forgot about it .but the women relied mw that we have to ask for it like is it not important to give form spoon to eat food ? Like really we have to ask? I never had to ask before ? Or I guess whenever any customer calls for any inconvenience you’re supposed to say sorry and apologize. Food is good but make sure you do serve a good customer service , giving spoon or fork with food is important not an option that one have to ask for thanks ??

I ordered food from here for my husband. He said it was really good and flavourful. He had the Taj Grill Special which he said was amazing!!! He also had their biryani and a few other dishes as well. He was very pleased with the food. We have also been there 2.5 years ago for a lunch buffet and it was a pleasant experience.

I’ve ordered my go-to dishes, Palak/Saag Paneer & Paneer Makhani, from Taj Grill several times. The makhani is the best I’ve ever had with golden raisins & cashews in it. Excellent flavor & texture. The palak, however, is passable at best. One of the better Indian restaurants overall in Buffalo.

Food is inadequate. The service is also pretty bad. Like i arrive near closing time and about 5 min after deciding for buffet they're already pushing us to eat quickly and get out. Like. This is how you lose the customer to come back again but i guess they don't care to be honest. And that's fine.

I am a vegetarian and visited here for the first time. The food was ok, a little less spicy for the palate of a typical south Indian. Service could be better. Will think twice before traveling half an hour to come here again.

I always order 2 dinners, and theres never enough rice. I have to make rice at home and theres still left over meat & sauce for me to make more rice the next day. So I ordered 1 dinner and ordered extra rice. They gave me the same amount of rice for 1 dinner, that they give for 2 dinners; and then also my extra rice that I ordered. I don't know id theyre not all on the same page, or if there's bad business going on here. Excellent cuisine though.

We recently visited this restaurant seeing that it had good reviews with many reviewers. However, we were highly disappointed as the food is not at all authentic. The food is no where close to tasting like Indian food. We ordered Paneer Jalfrezi and Chicken Mughlai and it didn’t taste like the dishes at all! For those who would like real Indian food, please don’t go to this place. Thank you!

HIDDEN CHARGES. They charge 18 percent gratuity without telling you and then ask for you to write in another tip and you think it's only the one tip that you wrote. Also, every business in USA pays credit card processing fees but these guys pass on their credit card processing fees to their customers. That's crazy. Most people will never notice. Maybe when they check their credit card bill and it's higher. Here I m uploading my bill & credit payment copy...so I didn't add any tip afterword....
