It was a unique experience and food was very tasty. Mango lassi was delicious! However, it was very crowded and servers were really busy. They were not polite most of the time. Instead of the chicken we ordered they brought a red meat dish which I’m allergic to. We had to ask for cutlery several times. There were not enough plates or cups for our group, so we had to ask for them several times. Plates were given after all the food was served. This might not be the situation at all the times but it was not a very pleasant experience. Also, felt like food was overpriced.

Assalam.u.alikum everyone! This place is amazingly good, lovely ambiance and delicious food. The owner Nazia was really great at greeting everyone personally at their tables and making sure that food was to their expectations. Also other servers were also very respectful and efficient. The beauty of clay Handi is that they're really promoting their origin and true essence of their name. We traveled from NJ and I would say that chicken handi made our day. Thank you for good service and delicious food.

This is authentic Pakistani restaurant! Just loved everything about it ! Taste, atmosphere, ambiance, decor, service everything was fantastic! They serve all the food in clay pot which I found unique. Had handi chicken, paneer tikka masala, daal, naan and special shot tout to Tandoori Roti! Yes you read it correct 👍 It was so good! They have huge menu would love to try free more dishes! I would come back and recommend this place if you are visiting Niagara or Buffalo!

Had a great time dining here. Their clay pots make them stand out with nice Lahore style food taste. Staff is friendly and courteous Will definitely come back here when I’m at Buffalo next.

We did a dine in despite the pandemic going on, the ambience was good, no-one came to take our order, we had to call them at the reception like after 20 minutes. They did not serve any starters which they normally serve like dry fruits, salad to other customers. They were in a hush hush situation since lots of people wanted to dine in. The cook served the food and it was on point, we got the chicken biryani, Beef Nihari and Naan. The Nihari was super excellent and the biryani. The Naan was super soft and very good. The chef served us in the clay plates and the owner asked us to replace the plates as they had a shortage of them and later gave up and went away. I do not expect someone to take the plates away when you are to server food. Overall would highly recommend them for food, the food is 5 Star but 2 star for hospitality.

Revised after getting offer of 5% discount. Dear management team, thank you for your generosity but instead of offering me discount just put effort teaching your crew, better hygienic protocols in the dinning and rest of the area. And most importantly fix your fly sticky hangs. They were just too much. I promise i would come again and eat if you look into my sincere suggestions. End update Original review BBQ place with very poor service and cleanness. Price of the food is high and service in comparison dissatisfied. They only have one toilet which was unclean and wet with no proper hand drying stuff. Tables and chairs were wiped with disgustingly dirty cloth. The same server who was dropping the food was wiping and cleaning other tables. Just imagine the quality of cleanness. There were fly 🪰 catching strings hanging with fresh kill of last couple of days. I had a chance to peak at the kitchen and it does not look at all clean. I am also curious how the wash clay plates and glasses. 2 stars are giving to the food .. I would only recommend takeout.

Went there with family on parents wedding anniversary. Felt like we are sitting in Pakistan somewhere. Food was tasty yummy and good portion. Roghni naaan was outclass. Had conversation with nazia about her story about restaurant and other stuff. She’s really doing a good job. Definitely recommend to all desi food lovers. 👍🏼

I love the theming and atmosphere and being served in clay dishes was a really unique experience. Some of the appetizers are hit or miss but the main dishes are really good. I dined with my family and we ordered their chicken samosa (delicious), paani poori (pretty good), beef handi (beef curry with plain white rice) and beef biryani (beef mixed in with seasoned rice) and goat and lamb handi paired with a couple of sodas. The beef was delicious and very soft, great balance of spices and beef. The clay helped to retain a lot of heat, to the point where the curry was still boiling when we received it! The same goes for the goat and lamb handi which were nice and hot when received and were fall off the bone. Overall, it was a very nice and chill experience thought I do wish the lighting was a bit brighter but that is a very small issue. The food is the main thing and it was quite good and that's coming from a South East Asian. They have beautiful cultural art pieces that I was familiar with and very colorful theming. Give them a try!

First restaurant we try in Buffalo, NY. We always come back if the food is good, but in this case, the food AND customer service was lovely. The lady in the front is such a sweetheart. My tummy is so happy and full. Cheers to good food and company!!🙌🙌🙌😇❤️

Very nice and helpful when picking food. Tastes great and is reasonably priced. I will be coming back next week. (Edit-) I have now been here three times and each time I learn a new dish I love. Gonna try them All in due time. The take out receipt is what I recently ordered and it was a nice tasty treat after I got out of work at 10:30 pm.

Food was excellent! Bring your family and friends with you because they give you a lot! I got the mixed vegetable curry and it was some of the best I’ve had in Buffalo. Excellent service. Also, a very pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed the relaxing music too! Would highly recommend to anyone!

$60 for $8 worth of food. Today was my 2nd and LAST time ordering from this restaurant. Portions are extremely small and they have yet to get my order right. Plus they're only 6 minutes drive from my house yet food is always cold! They always "forget" my sauces, napkins and utensils. A small fry at BK is larger than their portion of Fries. The pictures on UEats are seriously misleading. Makes you think you'll get a decent amount of food for the insane prices but NOPE! Can't even customize your Burger on the App. The Fish Combo looks like it comes with a few different things but it doesn't. Should have gotten 8 Samosas with sauces. Only got 2 - no sauce! No cutlery, plates or napkins either.

This is one of the best ethnic food restaurants I have ever been to! My friend introduced it to me tonight! My friend, my sister, and I, we got garlic naan, mango juice, mint margarita (it’s virgin), veggie samosas, Chana masala, mixed vegetable curry, and baingan bhartha! The food melted in our mouths and we devoured as much of it as we could! The rest we brought home with us! When my sister and I got home, my dad tried the food and he agreed that it is absolutely delicious! Also, the customer service we received was beyond excellent! Very kind people running this business! Also, we loved the dishes that the food was served in! Can’t wait to come back!

Pros: 1) They have a unique way of serving food in clay pots which is likeable. 2) It looks like a family owned and operated business. 3) Stays open until 2am & serves halal food. Cons: 1) No hygiene. 2) Flies flying around all the time. 3) Waiter who brought the empty glasses of water had his fingers dipped inside the glasses. 4) It took them 15 minutes just to bring the tea.

An Uber driver had recommended Clay Handi a few months back, so my girlfriend and I decided to go there for dinner. We had garlic naan, vegetable samosas, beef biryani and bihari chicken kabobs. Everything was delicious, but the bihari chicken was unforgettable. A lot of effort has gone into the ambience. Things like the tables, music, even the menus, which are thick like books. The staff was friendly and seemed eager to provide a great dining experience. We will definitely be back and I'm happy that they have plenty of vegetarian items on the menu so I can bring friends who don't eat meat. I can't stop thinking about that bihari chicken.

The aromas of spices hits you when you walk in the door. I couldn't wait to taste the food, which was incredibly tasty. I couldn't decide what to order due to the very large menu, definitely something for everyone's taste. The veggie samosas were large, very fully stuffed, crispy on the outside and very flavorful. I ordered the aloo mater, which was potatoes and peas in a mildly spicy curry tomato sauce and garlic naan bread. The bread was the size of a small pizza and was delicious. The half portion of the entree and white rice was enough to feed at least 2-3 people. Also ordered the chai tea also delicious. Everything arrived in beautiful clay pots and was piping hot. Absolutely delicious.

Finally went to Clay Handi as promised! My friend Beth had the chicken burger with fries. I had the boneless chicken handi and it came with rice. I also ordered the keema paratha which is like bread stuffed with a meat and spices. For dessert I also had gulab jamun! So so good! We also had the strawberry shake which us addicting. So without further a do, let's get into the overall review! Going in its kind of dark which I don't mind and there are beautiful traditional pieces on the walls, beautiful clay plates and silverware plated on each table along with a handkerchief cloth to wipe your mouth. The tables had some type of cloth inside it was cool. Forgot to add you can immediately smell the aroma of spices and wonderful food when you walk in and it's more quiet here so please don't ruin the peace with loud talking! The staff was very kind and understanding and I feel bad to keep asking the 1 guy more questions and stuff I know he needed to eat. With this being said I can infer there aren't many staff. So..yeah. The Keema paratha was good. But what made it so good was the spices inside and the meat. 😋😋😋😋 The chicken burger that my friend Beth had oh my gosh! I tried it and when I tell u it was bangin' it really was! It was juicy and packed full of flavor! Mwah! 💋 it was so good I decided to order one to go to take home. The chicken handi came boiling in the pot! I was very excited for it and it came with a bigger bowl of rice to enjoy it with. When we finally took off the lid we wasted no time and dug in! The chicken + the sauce was spicy but not unbearably spicy. It paired well with the rice ad well to neutral it out as well as with the yummy strawberry shake we had. Beth and I thought the shake was gonna survive but we were dead wrong. We ended up ordering another one lol and that we didn't save it for later! Hehe Lastly on the gulab jamun there were 3 pieces. The syrup was alot as usual yk so after we ate the gulab jamun we couldn't down the syrup but by that time anyway we were full and I just felt lazy yk. It also had almonds in it and I'd never seen that before with gulab jamun. Prices reasonable as well.

Even though food was delicious I have to give them bad reviews. Bc we came from nyc we ordered beef nihari nd it was so good we decided to take back to nyc. We asked the chief if we could take it back in its traditional pot he agreed nd we paid 190$ including the pot. We go home nd it’s only 3/4 portions of beef. I’ll upload pictures below.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We discovered this restaurant at the very end of our stay (at Niagara Falls) and honestly speaking all other halal places that we visited for food were below average.

We went here after a friend recommended this restaurant to us. We ordered half lamb handi with roghni naan and two chai for 2 people. The curry was absolutely delicious and tasted very authentic and tasted really good with the soft naan. Being a Chai fanatic, I want to give a 5⭐ for the kulhad Chai as well. Great food, ambience and polite staff.

Food was great, we ordered halwa puri which had an amazing taste, the paratha was freshly made with the other dishes. The Chai was served in to go cups which I think wasn't great as we were looking forward to have it served in the clay cups to feel the authenticity more 😀.

Awesome food. It’s been 4th time we are coming here all the way from New Jersey. Many a times we came here only to eat and not to see Niagara. It’s a hidden gem one who love Indian Pakistani food. Nothing changed over so many years. Taste of each food is beyond description. Ppl from Canada too come here to eat. Everything is served in earthen (clay) pots.

This is a beautifully decorated and homey feeling environment restaurant. Food tastes amazing. Great presentation of food items. I’ve tried beef curry, butter naan and Beef Nihari. Sweet lassi is a must try item. It’s one of the best drink you will ever try. Very refreshing. Their Tea ( Chai) was amazing too. Only down side is that customer service need to be improved. Very poor customer service due to not enough help in the front.

Pakistani halal food. Ask me if it's the best I've tasted, nope but for the location Buffalo NY, I guess you would be accepting. It's also a little unfair for rating them since buffalo is close to Toronto where there are so many Desi Pakistani restaurants, so relative to that, it will be hard to please us. The service is great, constantly checking on us, the food is good. The chicken sheesh kebabs were great, the lamb biryani was okay brought down by the dry lamb pieces with hardly any fat on them (learn it from how the Uzbek do their lamb), the naans were huge but the garlic toppings were minimal. The handi karahi was okay, a tad too much tomato based than what I'm used to. Overall, the handi claypot concept was a little gimmicky but I give it a 4 star for effort and some of the dishes are exceptionally good but so so for the handi dishes we tried. Oh don't forget their chai, that chai was awesome and something not to be missed.

The people are really nice and they did let me pray. Biryani was decent but majority of the meat was really not fully cooked and couldn't eat it. Nihari was without oil and didn't tasted like nihari at all. Naan were awesome. The apricot chatni was tasty.

I am all for having a big breakfast as this should be your main meal of the day and since Clayhandi is one of the restaurants open early, to my surprise they have what it takes not to just fill me up but taste is simply out of this world, I didn't expect that I'd have such a authentic Halwa Poori and Nali Nihari with truly authentic fresh Naan straight out from a clay oven at my table in no time. I wish to visit there everyone morning just to have a Tandoori Tea cooked in a clay oven in a clay pot, just loved it. Keep up the great food you are providing to the community, will visit again soon!

Chef recommended chicken Kebabs and Goat biryani and they both were scrumptious. Prior to the main course I was given some delicious condiments and a hot cup of tea. I will definitely visit Clay Handi again. Enjoyed talking to Masood and all the community work he is doing in Pakistan. Thank you Clay Handi for the luscious food and amazing experience. I will post pictures in another review.
