I was taken in by ambulance on oxygen. My oxygen was only at 60%. After arriving, sat in a chair with my spouse across from me with both of our feet up on chairs for 1.5 days. No oxygen administered. People sleeping on floors, halls. It as disgusting. After finally getting a bed in the EMERGENCY, I was put on oxygen. What I had was Congestive heart failure. They were upset as I do not have any medical records here. I travel to Toronto as I have seen him for 25 years. I have to go on a waiting list to find a Dr. In my community. O.H.I.P. then requires you to sign a form that you will not go back to your former Physician. This is crazy. They might have saved my life at that point. Definitely not treated well. The nurses are over worked and under paid you can see the burn out on their faces. Very sad. Smoking joints in EMERGENCY areas. Not enough staff available at all. After seeing a Heart specialist. I found out I was not diagnosed properly. My heart is fine.

I say thank you very much to the amazing staff in the emergency department. The triage Nurse was very accommodating, caring and compassionate. She seen how much discomfort I was in and did blood work on me so I did not have to have it done and add more wait time to what would be a long wait to see a Doctor. It was extremely busy in the emergency department. The Doctor who was appointed my case was absolutely amazing, he went above and beyond to find out what was wrong with me. The Doctor and support staff who did my endoscopy were efficient, highly skilled and had fantastic sense’s of humour. The nursing and support staff did a very good job to accommodate my concerns and fears. I haven't received care like this in an Ontario hospital since the 90's. Thank you Niagara General hospital staff very much David Brown Ps: the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the long wait time (not the hospital’s fault) and one particular nurse who seemed like she did not like her job because she had to actually work. This was on my last night. I pressed the button for some assistance. I asked if it was possible to get a sleeping aid because I hadn’t had more than an hour at a time stretch of sleep. Her words were “it’s 6am we won’t be giving you any sleep aids cause hopefully you will be going home and sleeping in your own bed” she said this in a very snarky tone. she made me feel very uncomfortable the whole time she was attending to me. I was clearly in a lot of pain and she made me feel like I should not be asking for pain relief. Besides one bad apple the whole staff right down the the cleaners were amazing.

The absolute disregard for another human beings wellness here is terrible. I’m typically somebody that would just tough out my issues if I’m not feeling well, but was forced to go in because my mother is a registered nurse and she was concerned for me. I went in when the waiting time was 2 hours, and walked out when I was still there 7 hours later. I’ve seen people rushing from ambulances waiting the same amount as me. A woman’s son needed stitches and she also left. How sad is that? I understand that it’s a process and there’s limited doctors but it’s called “EMERGENCY” for a reason whether it’s minimal or severe. This place needs more staff. Period. Some of the replies on the reviews say to contact them through email but honestly after dealing with the ignorance that I’ve seen tonight, there’s literally no point. Shame on you..

Was just in for day surgery. Had 10 teeth removed. Everyone was awesome. The lady who checked me in was great. Then the nurse who hooked up my IV was very friendly as well. Then I was brought into a cold area. Then into a room with a table that had arm extensions. The anesthesiologist, who I think's name was George, was awesome. I was out fast and woke up in no pain. Laid in recovery for a couple of hours, then the nurse walked me out to my ride. Shame on Niagara Health for firing so many good employees. Brutal!

This is the worst hospital, brought my fiance in as he was having difficulty breathing. I was told I was not allowed to stay, I told them no way in hell I'm leaving. It took the triage nurse over an hour to see him. They keep taking people who came in after him. People need to stay away from this hospital, if they are afraid of people with breathing issues then they should not be in this profession. Don't ever come to this hospital. If they are so worry about Covid, maybe they should sanitize after each person leaves the triage. So can't be that important.

I've been to this hospital twice, and have walked out twice. First time was by ambulance because I sliced my hand open really badly and couldn't stop the bleeding. The waiting room was disgusting and packed. The bathroom was also dirty. They sent me a bill for over $600 for the visit even though I didn't make it past triage. I understand the $300 and whatever for the ambulance, but over $300 for my er visit? That no one even did anything for me? Second time was last night, because of the cut I originally went in for. I've healed it at home myself over the last month, but I think I missed a piece of glass in there, playing with my dog the glass has moved and is moving. Sat in the waiting room for over an hour and not one person even asked me what was wrong/why I was there. It's an emergency room right? Like what if I had an emergency?? Also there was only like 5-6 people there. I saw 4 people leave, and no one new was called in? Also, there was a lady and her bf sitting up in chairs sleeping knocking pop all over the floors. (Which no one came to clean up) I told the nurse at triage that the lady was falling over, and going to end up injured, and going to bang her head. She sent another nurse out, who didn't even check on the couple really and just said to them "are you guys on fentanyl?" And walked back to behind the doors. Sure enough about 15-20 minutes later lady smashed her head off the wall and floor super hard.... Not one person came to help her. I had to get up and tell triage to go help her. I couldn't believe it! Dirty and negligent hospital.

I just witnessed the most pathetic excuse for a medical system not help a woman who was screaming in agonizing pain after her appendix exploded(?) and I (and others) watched as no one helped her and she actually had to to wait in the waiting room. I am actually disgusted right now. My neurologist told me to go to the ER because she's worried I have bleeding on my brain but after sitting here for 6 hours I was told it's not an emergency and to go home, this place is brutal!

Absolute worst care I have ever received. My son was brought by me and the very rude lady at the front desk told us only one visitor. I told her I know his medical history and she yelled at me only one visitor. She then proceeded to ask him his name and when he didn’t answer because he could let she began to yell at him. When I answered she told me “sir I told you to leave” I calmly advised her that given she couldn’t even get his name clearly she needed me. He then left the hospital delirious and security and the hospital were unwilling to help. 911 took 20 minutes to come to the hospital. Don’t go here EVER. Make the trip to Hamilton Or Fort Erie

Wait times is horrendously long. Triage and emergency doctors is challenging. We live in a develop country and the appeal of a world class citizens. Sad to say ,it’s all superficial. Patients suffer , no care or the sense of support . What happen to the code of conducts they solemnly swear? They better go in the battlefield and see how their title plays. Hope this change no matter what.

Very bad communication between different parts of the hospital. Sent to ultrasound waiting room from emergency only to wait 2.5 hrs to be told the ultrasound was cancelled without reason or notice. Told to return the next day only to wait 5 more hours for the results to be told I wasn't even registered by the lady I spoke with in emergency. Four days later, I received the results from my doctor, luckily everything worked out for me, I can only hope this doesn't happen to other people in time sensitive situations and I am a one off scenario. Strongly recommend going to any other hospital if possible or try to go off peak hours as under pressure lots of mistakes are made it seems.

If I could give no stars I would. The reason for that is you sit there for hours and hours while you’re in pain or sick. The nurses and doctors just sit around and talk the whole time instead of calling people in. We come to a hospital to be seen 🤷‍♂️

Did I have to wait a long time to see a doctor ? Yes. Are the chairs in the waiting area less than comfortable ? Yes. However, once I got in everybody was organized, caring and professional. A couple of test were handled quickly. Imo the staff are dedicated and trying their best. The triage nurse was also very kind.

Passed out randomly at home, so I went here for a check up with my mother. While we did get checked in relatively quickly, and the triage nurse was very nice and understanding, it was absolutely painful waiting 7 hours for a doctor to come and see us. We, and the person beside us, ended up leaving as even after 7 hours, nobody came to check up on us. Definitely not the best hospital, you can still get checked but it will take a MIGHTY while. I mean, we bash on the Americans for having paid healthcare, and then we have to deal with sub-par healthcare in return. It’s kind of sad to see how far it’s fallen compared to a few years ago when everything was working perfectly fine and organized, though I can’t really blame the workers that much as they’re being overworked to the bone. Adding onto this, I’m sitting here in a similar situation and I’m debating on whether I should go or not because I’m unsure if I’ll even be seen at all.

Came to emergency at 8 pm I have watched 7 people leave because of lack of service. I did see a paramedic and firefighter bring their daughter in and they were bumped up to be served. They have signs everywhere saying “ All patients please speak to a triage nurse before leaving without being seen-this is to cover their buts because they know people are going to leave ! What has happened to our health care system … and yet we are taxed to death but the money isn’t going to line the pockets of workers because it is 1:40 am and I’m still sitting here ! Sad I wanted to give no stars sad sad sad 👎🏻

I am waiting at the emerg here. I came in last night and was here till 4 am and told me to come back at 10 because they didn’t have ultrasound at that time. Registered my name and have been waiting here only to find out they skipped only my name and saw about 7 more people who came in after me. I don’t know if that’s because they couldn’t pronounce my name or what but my last name is very easy to pronounce. I have been sitting here in pain. Also the doctor who saw me last night said he would come back with my urine result and he never did. I asked the nurse what kind of medication I can take for the pain and she said she will mention it to the doctor and he will advise me. He never came back to see me. I am a nurse myself and sad to say I am disgusted by my experience here. I worked in the Niagara community for a while and no wonder 99% of the population here doesn’t want to go to the emergency no matter how serious the situation. You have failed your people when they choose to die at home rather than come in for service that we all pay for.

Don’t waste your time. Estimated wait time said 2.5 hours. I was waiting for 4 hours and nothing. People came in after me and left before me. The admins behind the glass are absolutely useless and don’t seem thrilled to be working there. I mean, I wouldn’t be too thrilled if that was my job as well. Cons of universal health care, I’d much rather pay for premium health care and to be seen right away.

This is and has been a poorly run hospital for a long time. I’m sitting in the waiting room and people are misinforming me and not informing me, left right and centre. Unfortunately, I chose to come here because it had a shorter waiting time. However, I’m having to wait longer due to the lack of organization. Next time I’ll take my chances with a better run hospital, even if it’s a longer wait. Get your act together. No one wants to be here and deal with this. The lack of organization here is wrong!!!!

Useless service. My leg was swelling again and again they just gave me pain killer. I asked them to do a blood report because i know something going up down in my blood, but no, they refuse to do blood report. Doctors are gods, but here they are not helping us. I'm very disappointed 😞. I would like to say take money we don't want free medical healthcare services. We want proper service for our health. After paying that much taxes from our pocket and this is what we are getting in return.

Worst hospital ever. I have never been through such humiliation like in this place. I waited 7 hours. 7 HOURS FOR STITCHES. Why you may ask. Because this place has only 1 doctor. Probably 1 nurse as well because it doesn’t make any sense!

In January I was brought into the hospital by ambulance because I had a seizure, and then was suffering from not being able to breath properly and feeling like my heart was being squeezed, I was then put in a waiting from for 3 hours where I was refused water many times. I travelled back to my house to get water as it felts like my throat was closing up. When I returned in more pain than I was in when I left I was told by the nurse that I should not have left. I then passed out on the floor of the emergency room and was not found for over 40 minutes. I then waited another hour to get seen by a doctor, although I wasn’t seen by a doctor I was seen by a nurse. Who gave me an anti anxiety pill. And because I hadn’t slept in over 24houurs and I was tired, the pill made me fall asleep. My blood work came back fine and I was told I had to leave, when I refused to leave as I still couldn’t breath I was told I was having an anxiety attack and I eaither had to leave or be put in the psych ward. Again I refuse and say I need more treatment. After 4 hours of back and forth they gave me a Covid test while the nurse said “you are double vaxxed so I doubt you have Covid” and told me to leave. 2 days later I recived a notice that I was positive for Covid

Here now cause I hurt my shoulder, and now have constant pins and needles in my hands and arms, but hospital won't give me a mri cause they say I need a doctors request, what good is emergency if they don't attend to the problems that we tell them? We know our body better then they do! Also the doctor in emergency didn't even really check me out, said can't do mri but we will give you ultra sound for pain in shoulder! This hospital is a revolving door and don't care about the patients, they just care about getting the money from your health card for the visit! Gonna go to different hospital, if I get different results, I'm looking into sueing doctor who looked at me.for a second! Malpractice lawsuit coming her way! Neglectful and terrible! At least triage nurses are nice!

Just curious as to why parts of the hospital are not cleaned regularly? The Emergency waiting room is absolutely filthy!!! It's looking worse than most public restrooms 😔 The setup in the waiting room is far from ideal; you have to weave in and out to get to seats, making contact with others waiting.

All good experience except for one night triage nurse. It is common for ER people to come across countless number of people crying in pain and agony and obviously we can not expect empathy or excessive sympathy but being rude to a person literally almost passing out of renal colic is something ruined my otherwise comforting experience in the Hospital ER. and to add to my surprise "lumbar means back" for her as she argued after I told I had pain abdomen in right lumbar region. Considering the experience she seemed to have it was disappointing she sounded she wasn't even aware there are 9 anatomical regions of abdomen including right and left lumbar regions. Apart from the triage part, I didn't mind at all waiting for almost an hour crying in ER because I realize how overburdened ER staff are but everyone else including nurses inside, the doctor, the registration staff and even the security girl were nice and polite. If any hospital staff reads these reviews I would request them to ask people to behave at least normal if not sympathetic. Rudeness towards any ailing person is evil I would say.

This is my last resort Hospital, needs to be torn down sooner rather than later. Building is old, staff is not the best - had many bad experiences here with family members (as patients). Staff seems over worked and bothered by you, never have beds and spend days in the emergency room. I go anywhere but here when I can, I even drive over an hour for things like stitches or broken bones vs going here.

I had the misfortune of having to go to emergency at the Niagara Falls General Hospital. I have lived in this city for 68 years and had surgery there for a partial hysterectomy. The side table inside my room was filled with dust and the bathroom stunk of pee. There was actually pee on the floor. When I informed the nurse re this and she saw it, 4 days later while still in the hospital it was not cleaned up. I was dismissed with a fever and had to once again be rushed to the hospital where I was informed I had developed an infection. I sat in the emergency waiting room and a patient told me to look up at the vents. The vents were black, disgustingly filthy and this is what we breathe while we are waiting to be seen. Sitting there with one of my neighbours for almost 7 1/2 hours I saw how nurses were extremely rude not only to me but with other patients in the waiting room. Nurses do not treat patients well and no compassion is shown. If this is what Canada is amounting to it is best to go somewhere else to be treated but if that is impossible for most people, it would be best to find a hospital other than the one in Niagara Falls.

Honestly heard good things from people in the community. Spoke with Tela Health Ontario who said go to your nearest ER. Entered at 8pm now its approx 2am and still not seen and their response there are other people first. How does it take this long to even talk to somone! Do they not care about anyone well being Saw a male convulsing in the waiting room and staff just watched till he stopped didn't offer aid or assistance and just appeared to hope it stopped. Feels like they want us to just leave and not get any care!

Traveling from the USA and got hit really hard in the face from playing mini golf with my son. I went here just make sure there was so fracture or swelling underneath. Signed in and told the nurse I didn’t have my insurance on me and was told I would have to pay around $900 out of pocket plus whatever the doctors cost. I waited for an hour and it was just one nurse working with a bunch of people waiting. Was also told I could take the bridge to go the US side. Imagine bent face in pain and being at an emergency facility where I think I would be seen even if I didn’t have my card on me. I ended up leaving after waiting for an hour since I was told I would need to have my insurance card to be seen.

I took my two-year-old son, who had a bad fall, and I was worried he either broken or dislocated his elbow or wrist. When the doctor assessed my son, he only looked at the area. My son was grabbing, even though I had said to him to also check his wrist, they did not see any break in the x-rays they took. But he was crying every time he moved it so the doctor on call that night Dr. Strobel said he was willing to cast it just in case. My husband and I decided that six weeks in a cast for a two-year-old was a very long time for something that wasn’t a confirmed break so they had made an appointment for us with a specialist a week later , today is four days post his accident and he hasn’t been moving his hand at all yesterday at three days post accident we went back to Niagara hospital and waited for three hours, and never saw a doctor so we decided to leave as my son was not able to wait any longer . This morning my husband took my son to Fort Erie, urgent care and the doctor without an x-ray notice, my son’s wrist was dislocated and popped it back into place and he is already using it again. I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from Niagara Hospital . This is something they should’ve been able to catch in the same day. I will never be going back to the hospital again. This is by far the worst medical service I have ever received in my life.

GNGH is one of the most disorganized hospitals in the region. Been here since approximately 1:00 my wife was called in almost immediately but had to to a pee sample. The nurse said she would do someone else first and take her after. It as been 4 hours. On top of that there is no food ie: Tim Hortons is closed. No consideration at all. If anyone needs to go to the hospital, I strongly suggest you pack a meal.

I had such a horrible experience yesterday. I went in with Covid, and had serious issues with breathing and chest pain. I was sat in the waiting room for 4 hours Before a doctor even came to talk to me. I can’t even describe how much I was suffering while nothing was being done. The only nice person who was able to help and get things done fast, was the male phlebotomist with glasses and orange hair.

The worst ever experience I have ever had in the hospital. Non of Canadian hospital and healthcare is good this one was the worst. They have to be patient and quick specially in a touristy town, but they are too rude and slow. Specially the ambulance personnel were encouraging my patient to get off the ambulance and they said they don’t care about my patient condition. And they were wasting time instead of taking my patient to the ambulance

Brought my wife to this place. Based on the reviews , just wasn't sure but had no choice. Everyone from reception to registration to triage nurse to lab tech "Margaret" were very courteous and polite and professional. Was attended by a young doctor named Dr. Shahan. He was empathetic and polite. With his knowledge and his patience, he made both myself and my spouse at comfort, something one needs in a place like a hospital. You guys are doing an awesome job. Hats off to everyone at GNG hospital. You guys are the best. Keep up the good work. Your services to the community and public is much appreciated.

Ive had a severely infected toenail for quite a while now and came to emergency quite a few times over it and they refuse to treat or send referrals to someone who will treat it. They send me home with just antibiotics and told me to find a foootcare climic myself. I know i had came to hospital before to be treated for an ingrown so, i don’t understand why they all of a sudden don’t do this type of care for anymore? Now im stuck with an awful, painful wound.

Arrived at 4pm to watch people with lesser injuries be pushed passed my triage spot. I understand random traumas show up. However i literally watched 3 people with lesser injuries be prioritized before my disease/injury. My procedure takes 15 mins max yet due to bad triage im still waiting at the hospital. 6.5 wait so far from a 2 hour wait. Please work on your triage practices and get oeganized.

I came to ER early in the morning (2am) Staff were very busy but also friendly and took extra time to explain and answer questions. It's not a very modern hospital but it has all the diagnostic infrastructure you'd need as a patient. Parking is a bit finnicky at night, as there is no way to get change (coin) for the paid parking, and bills aren't accepted. But the staff mber helped me out with that too. (While taking time from her lunch break)

I was admitted to GNGH on the 4 th of July. I was in for 2 2/2 weeks. The care and kindness I recieved from all levels of staff was exemplary. They are very short staffed due to COVID., there were nurses working 50+ hours a week. They all without exception maintained a level of care under challenging circumstances that was terrific. I had my birthday during my stay and they went out of there way to make it special. This is an aging building, the rooms are tiny the bathrooms are minuscule. This is an other challenge that the staff have to cope with. Thanks to all the staff from the cleaners to the nurses for all your kindness. One thing and this is not a reflection on GNGH but the food is awful. The powers that be for the Niagara Health System need to come for lunch some day....... see what they think.

Disorganized and understaffed. Very sick people left waiting while seemingly fine people were brought back for examination. Repeatedly. Staff were rude when approached politely, and many people gave up seeking treatment due to unclear wait times. I waited over 7 hours before leaving because I could not breathe well. Worst ER experience I've ever had. Wish I listened to everyone who told me to drive farther to Port Colborne or Fort Erie for treatment. Maybe I would have been treated.

My time at the mental health wing with the psychiatrist was pretty awful. I felt completely dismissed and dealt with, what felt like anyway, racial targeting. Right from the start, when the psychiatrist walked me from the waiting room, there was no verbal hello or anything. Just some hand signals pointing me to the office, making the whole experience feel off. During the session, I kept getting being interrupted when attempting to answer the psychiatrist's questions. They basically brushed off my symptoms, saying they were "just like everybody else's," which was obviously invalidating but also frustrating that after waiting eight months for the appointment this was the level of care I was receiving. To make things worse, my assessment never made it to my family doctor. I had to bug the receptionist for two months before my doctor finally got the info. Honestly, I'd recommend avoiding this place if you're looking for mental health help. There are better options out there.

I came in and the triage nurse was so kind and mindful , also the person after triage was amazing too, then only had to wait 2 hours and was in . Doctor was well informed made me feel comfortable , was in and out very quickly. Very grateful for this hospital ! My technical entrance time was 6:38 am and I left at 9:02 am

One of the doctor was absolutely horrible with my neffew. He had no care from that doctor and my sister was told he was fine when he was running a fever of 38.4 high fever and not doing any sort of bowl movement the past 2 days and hadn't peed in the same amount of time. It took my sister literally fighting for her 1 year and 6 months old sons rights for care. That baby was vomitting so much and extremely not ok but the doctor kept trying to get them to leave. I will never come back to this hospital and I will never bring a child to this hospital especially knowing now that I would have to fight for there right to proper health care. The nurses for them were great and one nurse had helped fight for his rights for proper health care. I just hope my neffew is going to be ok even through that doctors horrible care and judgement.

Highly advise against seeking urgent medical care at this hospital. Went on a trip to Niagara and my 9 month old suddenly had a fever, we went to emergency and although the triage nurse and check in staff were polite… the rest of the staff and nurses were awful. The triage staff advised us that their slowest doctor was working and it would be a very long wait as she doesn’t prioritize children - verbatim. Infants have no priority and Dr.Graystone along with the nurses on shift all lack empathy and urgency. They listened to an infant cry in pain for 3 hours before providing any assistance, the doctor said she “thinks” he had a respiratory tract infection but wanted us to get “a second opinion” and also “wanted his fever to progressively increase” before prescribing antibiotics. The doctor then disappeared for 25 minutes and when I confronted the nurses about their lack of urgency, they threatened to call security. Do not be in the medical field if you cannot show care and empathy to patients, especially infants. The next 12 hours his fever progressed so quickly and high, we visited a doctor closer to home who was shocked our son wasn’t already prescribed antibiotics due to his infection and symptoms worsening. Once again, do not visit this hospital especially with infants or children.

I called the staff to inquire about our clients that was seriously injured as a result of a slip and fall. The receptionist was most helpful and located our client, provided the room number, and the hours we could contact or visit the hospital. She was very polite. This is a Great facility. I am sure.

Mammogram - never fun. Parking was tricky. Not enough spots if your appointment is in the middle of the afternoon. The actual mammogram appointment went as expected. You get called, then asked to take everything from waist upward. It's not awkward at all!! Then, as women know, you are positioned, and then breasts squished until they take the picture. You are as comfortable as the tecnician makes you. Mine was understanding and compassionate. We were done quickly and slightly, not painful. For me, this is a yearly experience - my mom had ovarian cancer, so I qualify for this yearly procedure. YEAH ME! But despite all this moaning and groaning, I am thankful that our government pays for this yearly torture. Just kidding? Thank you, Niagara Health, for caring enough to be sure I get my yearly squeeze in. This, I truly mean.

A 98 year old friend was brought in by ambulance. The emergency staff was amazing even though it was insanely busy there. Everyone I had contact with was very helpful. The nurse on duty was attentive and compassionate. She treated her patients with care and concern while giving them the dignity they need. I was so impressed by this young health care professional. I’m not sure of her name, I think it begins with Dom. I must also mention the Doctor. He too was exceptional. These hard working diligent care givers deserve our respect and gratitude. Kudos to GNGH.

Being at Niagara Falls General Hospital for the first time it was at first not bad, but as I got used to it, it really started to grow on me. After finally being discharged I found myself comparing other hospitals to this hospital and began to realize how all the big hospitals in Toronto now feel so cold and institutional in comparison to what I once felt at Niagara Falls General Hospital. I will forever remember this hospital and hope that when they build the new one that they do not lose the charm this hospital has.

This whole experience was a nightmare. Had a fractured back and waited 12 hours on and off. After waiting 12 hours I was given an incorrect referral phone number that turned out not to be the specialist I was supposed to see. So I waisted the time off trying to contact the incorrect doctor. I had to call back the ER Niagara Falls and get the correct phone number for doctor. Dr Montoedi gave me the incorrect referral that has really made things difficult for me.

This facility is terrible. They have no beds when emergencies arise. They don't triage properly. You wait for hours to get care. Care needed from a hospital, not a clinic or family physician. I'll never understand why they think building a new hospital is going to improve their services.

Exceptional care. I experienced a serious fall and was triaged immediately. I received expedited registration.I was brought to the back to be seen by Dr. And nurses who administered pain medication so I could tolerate the imaging process. Kind, caring and phenomenal staff!!! Thank you. Forever grateful!!!

Rushed by ambulance at 4 AM to the ER. Kate kept me calm in the ambulance and checked on me later. Melody, an ER nurse, was wonderful, as were all the nurses, and the doctor, who cared for me. I'm very grateful for their humanity and medical professionalism.
