Great spot on a hot summer day if you don’t mind a rocky beach. The rocks are smooth but there are lots of them! There are some soft sandy areas out further in the water. I’d recommend water shoes to be more comfortable. Picnic tables on the beach were really nice. You need to park either at the beach volleyball court area or at the side street past the visitor center to get to the beach access. Disappointed that neither the outdoor water spigot nor the indoor shower in the ladies washroom were working for rinsing sandy feet.

This review is for the beach only, there is a beautiful park here with frisbee golf and areas to grill. The beach water was clear and pretty clean, only a little seaweed. The beach itself was very small, probably about 50 feet from the water to the edge (theres woods on the edge of the beach). The first 25 feet was entirely rocks. Now, they are smooth rocks but honestly it doesn't make it any easier to walk over them barefoot. The remaining 25 feet was 25%rocks. We were able to clear some and lay down a beach blanket. The first at least 10 feet out in the water was entirely rocks as well. I figured I was just old but even the children were having difficulty walking on the rocks. Also, due to the trees, theres not a ton of sunny areas. If you want to sit or lay in chairs and have some kind of watershoes it's perfectly fine. Also, the parking lot is super close so very easy to go back to your car of needed. Lastly, the beach is down a big staircase. I didnt see any way it would be handicap accessible, but there may have been another area to enter.

Beautiful, peaceful beach for sitting or walking. People are frequently there, but it is not densely populated. Ground is mostly sand, and there is a rocky area on the western end. Excellent view of Toronto, Canada across the lake when facing northwest.

A nice family friendly out of the way beach and park. Several back woods trails. Nice newer play sets. The stairs are currently cut off for beach access but there are other trails to get on the beach.

Great place to swim, walk the dog, hang your hammock, and frisbee golf. The sunsets here are beautiful! Bathrooms are a little scary, but I'd rather have a dirty one than nothing at all.

Great place to take my kids (7) (3). People keep there distance and there are public restrooms, playground and a great view. Only problem is some people tend to leave garbage around. But besides that great beach. Better then beaver island

What lovely quiet hideaway. No phone reception here and I'm just fine with that.

Beach is always clean so is play ground. Plenty of picnic tables and grills. Tons of parking. Very clean and well kept grass. Rarely find any trash. Clean bathrooms and showers to rinse off after swimming. A spot to load kayak or canoe. Rock and sand Beach and only have to walk through a few feet of rocks till you reach the sand in the water.

A small, quaint, picturesque state park along lake Ontario that provides versatility in family and friend outings or a place to self reflect. Stunning sunsets and clear views of Toronto are the icing on this cake.

We love going to all of the beaches around wny... its such a beautiful natural wonder... we decided to go tonight to look for beach glass! We always take the family and have the best times searching out all the glass! Some day we hope to find enough to replace the rocks in the bottom of the fish tank... The park was so nice and clean.. and there were tons of people out enjoying this beautiful day!!

Not a crowded beach, but you swim at your own risk. Beach glass can be found, but is hard to find...it's not loaded with it. I love going there listen to the waves, search for glass and be relaxed from some of lives ups and downs.
