The location to the falls is great. However, this hotel is dirty. The carpets need to be cleaned as well as other things. There seemed to be confusion about if the housekeeping cleaned the rooms or not during your stay. The head housekeeper did check in with us and offer to service. The staff was nice. The bathtub backs up, it’s dirty, and the AC has a hard time keeping up. I would recommend a different hotel if staying in Niagara.

One of the worst stay, i ever had in my life. The lady who was at the front desk was so rude and non friendly. She didn’t even smiled and was speaking to us in a rude tone. When we booked the hotel, the parking was free shown on the website and when we checked in. They charged us 25 bucks for that. Other than that rooms were fine. Only problem was with the front desk lady who needs to learn how to deal with customers. Or she was racist that she was treating us that way because we ain’t white?.

It is a great hotel with the perfect location if you are visiting the falls. It is only a minute walk from the park and the best view of the falls. Our room had two queen beds with beautiful soft mattresses and sleeping on them was great. The lobby has modern sitting areas and coffee machine with ok coffee available all the time. The pool is kind of closed with a half wall separating it from the lobby and felt a bit colder than expected. However my kids spent some time there and loved it. They said it is warm once you are in the water.

I have a family of three, including myself, and we came to stay for a weekend (Sat-Sun). They offered us 2 rooms, the regular one and another one that was supposed to offer a scenic view towards the falls. We stayed in the scenic room and the view was not worth the price. The day we got there, one of the elevators was out of service, leaving only one functioning elevator. However, there was often a line of costumers, and employees, waiting for it. My family and I had to take the stairs twice during our visit due to this issue. It also came to us as a shock, because of the price, that there was no complementary breakfast and that the parking was not included.

I am having an amazing stay here! The room was clean, and with all the amenities that were stated on website. Prior to check in, I had called to ask a couple questions about shuttles and transportation services. All were answered with courtesy and respectfully. That means a lot these days! My flight landed ahead of check in time. I was allowed to check-in a couple hours ahead of time and they held my bags until I came back to check-in. Within walking distance to the falls, great location. Location, location!! My room was cleaned while here, didn't have to ask for it. The desk service is awesome! Housekeeping is awesome! Thank you for a most pleasurable stay!! A special thank you to Carroll Jr., an employee there. He went out of his way to help me with my transportation when I was leaving. Thank you!

Being a gold elite member of the IHG group I did quite a bit of traveling. I always book breakfast in my stays but with this location we were referred to the anchor bar where we were given a $ 25 voucher to redeem for the room. Kids eat free but adults cost $15 per person so I didn’t mind paying the difference but I wish that was explained when I made the booking. The service at the anchor bar needs improvement I’ve never walked off from any restaurant with zero tip this was was my first. We came early to the breakfast there was no rush yet no enthusiasm or eagerness was shown to us to be seated and served. The hotel room was superb clean and neat. The best thing about our stay was the front desk lady Xiomar was awesome 👏.

This hotel acts like they are doing YOU a favor by staying there. Rooms are not clean. Ours had previous tenants dirty and wet wash rag hanging over shower curtain and then blow dryer had someone’s hair wrapped around plug. Food is over priced and lady at counter told a customer that their parking fee was because they are a “destination location”. Our view was not what I was told. After checking out, no one asked how our stay was or thanked us for staying with them.

Receptions are very welcoming and provided detailed map and information about Niagara Falls. My room had showing Niagara Falls from back and Canada side view. One block from visitor center and two blocks from Niagara state park. Easy to walk along the Niagara River. The property have pool and restaurant on property. Highly recommend staying as Location is perfect.

Parking lot was rundown and spots were narrow but had no problem finding a spot at any time of a day. Front desk staff are not the most friendly. Room had some smell but wasn't too bad. No house keeping unless staying for 5+ nights. Walls are so thin that you can hear everything going on in the hallway. Other guests being loud is not the hotel's fault but it was too much. Small TV. No breakfast. There's a bar/restaurant attached to the building that offers breakfast but it was not good and expensive. They said kids under 12 eat free then gave me one bill with free kid's meal and after I gave them my credit card, they brought me a different bill with the kid's meal charged. If I didn't check, I would have paid and left. Swimming pool was pretty good size but very cold. Asked a staff if the pool was not heated and his response was "we say we do, but... I'm so sorry." Coffee downstairs is pretty good. Location was the reason I booked this hotel. You can technically walk to the falls and there are restaurants you can walk to also. But if I come back to the Niagara Falls, I'll find a different hotel.

We arrived a little after 3pm, check-in was not until 4pm but we had things to do anyway, check-in was a breeze, very polite desk clerk. we got into our room and the A/C wouldn't turn on, I called downstairs and they sent a maintenance tech up right away (4 minutes), he checked it out and had it working in less than 2 minutes. very courteous tech, polite and fast. we were only in our room for about 30 minutes before we headed out again, we got back and forgot to ask for more towels but, lo and behold, house keeping already replaced them (not sure how they knew to even check). My wife even commented on how polite the workers there were to her, chatting in the elevator, at the coffee area and even outside in the parking lot.

Staff was great, even had a very helpful maintenance technician help us. We stayed here 2 nights and had to change rooms, due to a bad wall hvac system. It was about 25 degrees outside and our room wouldn't heat up any higher then 60. Pretty cold... like I said the staff was extremely helpful.

Booked two rooms for me and my family. My sister in laws room had the AC unit on the floor, falling out of the wall. It didn’t work well and her room temp reached almost 80 degrees. Also, the elevator door closed on my niece and broke her brand new luggage and the hotel did nothing about it. I woke up the first morning covered in hives. Then the second morning I have bites all over my arms and legs and feet. Thankfully it was our day to leave but I’m pretty sure our room had bed bugs or spiders. Place is a little run down, the breakfast buffet was cold and tasteless. Will never book here again.

Horrible experience! Yes it is close to the falls as it is right inside the state park but wish I had known how terrible the hotel was. Our room had a stench, bathroom floors felt sticky and there were flies and a moth inside the room. If we hadn’t arrived close to 11pm and dead tired, I would’ve complained and tried to get a different room but given how unsanitary the lobby seemed, unsure if we would have had gotten a better room. To top it off, we were charged more than what we were told over the phone (yes, did it old school over-the-phone booking). Room charges came out to be almost $100 more at the end since the person taking my reservation told me a different final price which turns out did not include taxes and a “destination fee”. It was surprising at the end and made the overall experience even worse. I have stayed at a motel a few minutes away from the falls during a prior visit and honestly that was a better experience than what I’d expect out of a Holiday Inn.

We made a spontaneous decision to spend the night, New Year's Eve 2021. Awesome decision. Our room was excellent - clean and comfortable. The entire staff was super nice. The lobby was nicely decorated for Christmas. A special thanks to Destiny, who made our stay even better. Had a drink at the Anchor Bar on New Year's Eve and had a wonderful breakfast there the next morning, with a special thanks to Rodney and Jasmine for their hospitality. Would easily do this all again next New Year's Eve. Happy New Year everyone!

Yes! This hotel is well priced for the location. The rooms were semi-renovated, leaving room for improvement only in the shower/tub combo. The views were decent, but there's great indoor pool and the famous Anchor Bar is connected to the hotel - seriously, what more could a tourist ask for? Would highly recommend this hotel for those looking for a location and convenience factor over a luxury experience.

Conveniently located to access Goat Island and the Falls by either car or foot. Close to restaurants. Staff was fantastic upon every interaction from front desk to in the hallways. Lobby, pool, and gym look recently remodeled and lovely. Rooms are under construction and could use an updating. No complaints. Would gladly return on another visit.

The location is great, although, I was a bit taken aback by the lack of things to do around the hotel (aside from the falls themselves), not the hotels fault, the town is just a bit run down. Maybe COVID hit them hard? The rooms were good, many areas were dusty, like they hadn't been dusted in quite some time, and with covid still being a concern for many, this seemed out of place. We found stuff, cups and other garbage, under the bed... Not super impressed by that at all. The day before checkout our room keys didn't work anymore, so we had to go to the front desk to get them redone, no apologies were offered, she asked 'are you checking out tomorrow?' as if to imply this is a normal thing... I dunno. We had a river view room and the view of the nightly fireworks was great!

Receptions were helpful. My room had a Canadaside view. So I could watch fireworks, it was nice. One block from visitor center, two blocks from Niagara state park. Plus it's enjoyable walk along the Niagara River. Only cleanness was not meet my expectations. Like water didn't flow well in bathtub. And I found lots of hairs to solve that matter. But without that probably this could be a best option in walkable distance.

This hotel is the worst experience of our travels. They have a name and that's why we used them. The room stinks of cigarettes. All they could offer was to spray the room. Not a very good decision when you are with children and cannot tolerate different smells. We wanted a room with a view, but they don't really have the kind of views from their hotel. They said we could see the fireworks, but we were getting late in the evening, what could be the reason... Don't spend extra money here for rooms with a view. Also, there are 4 of us in one room, and only one set of bath towels. I have never met such a service anywhere, that I had to ask for towels....

Booked through an agent. We were celebrating our 35th anniversary. We were supposed to get a room with a view but denied it when we were finally able to get into our room. Instead, we overlooked a parking lot and dumpsters. They do keep your luggage securely if you check in earlier. Definite plus so you can see the sites without toting your stuff. Evening staff not helpful like the day staff. No free breakfast is offered at this Holiday Inn, only coffee and tea. No discount is offered at the hotel restaurant for guests. Indoor pool is nice, but you are on display to everyone walking through. No hot tub or sauna. Towels are available at the pool. Ice machines are temperamental and work when they want to, so you may need to go to several floors to find one that works. No charging ports, so be sure to bring your plug-in chargers as needed.

Arrived early and they didn't have a room available so we kept our luggage and they helped us with maps and recommendations for food and pretty much everything under the sun. The staff is well trained and patient and helps you explore the best of the things around. We left for maid of the mist and cave of the winds and later dined at hard rock cafe which was a great recommendation. Rooms are good, clean and spacious. Quiet surroundings and you feel at peace here. Next morning we had our breakfast at anchor bar and it was hot breakfast we could chose from the menu. We ordered and it arrived in minutes with good coffee. The server was absolutely a pleasure and very welcoming. Even though it was free breakfast, the quality of it and the server's attitude and attentiveness made us fall in love with the breakfast experience and we gave you a generous tip as we went off.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I had booked my hotel room 5 weeks in advance and called to see if they aloud small dogs and while booking I was told yes I was. 5 weeks go by and my check in day arrives (DEC 25th Christmas Day) all is well we check in (with dog in hand ) no problems ! 2 days go by we’re now Tuesday and we have no hot water so they decided to DOWNGRADE our room ! ( we went from a room with view to a smaller room looking at a generator) .. fine whatever the vacation goes on . It’s now Thursday morning and I’m taking the dog outside for her morning routine like I’ve done 5 times a day since I’ve checked in and now all of a sudden no dogs aloud I have to pack up and leave .. baffled as I’ve had house keeping come in and out of the room to bring me a cot from the first room to the other … checked in with my dog and had to change rooms and was given new room keys with my dog in my arms … NOW ITS A PROBLEM?!?! So upset as I am considering I’ve had to pack up and move once already now I have to do it again and now I’m out 390$ for my remaining days and have to book another hotel and she has the audacity to tell me “calm down it’s the holidays no one needs to get upset” …. Lady you’ve just RUINED my holiday vacation … considering the two women that were standing beside her ARE THE ONES WHO CHECKED ME IN AND CHANGED MY ROOM! Yet she tells me my staff know we are not dog friendly ! So 1 person on the phone weeks ago told me yes … the 2 standing beside you checked me in seeing the dog and IM IN THE WRONG?!! And I’m ruining her holidays by being upset . 1st and last time I ever use holiday inn

About 20 minute walking distance to Niagara Fall state park! The room atmosphere was relaxing! The bed was extremely comfortable! Everyone working there that we met were extremely nice! Would definitely stay there again if we come back through the area.

I stayed here every week when I drove for True Value Hardware 45years ago. I would shower, have dinner, then walk out to Goat Island and enjoy the park-like setting. When my Sister and I planned a trip to the area I knew this would be the place to stay. Very good choice, modernized, comfortable. Glad to have come back.

I stayed at this hotel for four days and three nights. They always had the rooms cleaned, a small area of treats for guests, and they have many games for guests to play. I didn't use the pool, but it gets lots of light and is pretty big. Lastly, the views of the Canadian side from the room windows were great. When they set off the fireworks, you have the best view.

Rooms remodeled, but my guess is the AC units and refrigerators were not replaced. AC made noises all night and couldn't get the temperature below 74, despite set at lowest possible (66). Traveling with others and their room had same problems. Refrigerator portion didn't really cool (freezer section worked though). Ice maker on floor didn't work for entire stay. Small TV in room (think 32 inch). No microwave in rooms - just one in lobby. Walking distance to falls, but area not entirely safe and limited restaurants (some closed early too). If visit area again, we would consider staying further away and paying fee to park at Niagara (cheaper than multiple nightly parking fee here).

We booked this hotel for Labor Day weekend and we’re pretty disappointed. First off, we checked in around 10pm to which out of the 3 girls at the front desk only one of them acknowledged us after standing there for a few minutes. When we got to our room and looked out the window we realized we actually didn’t have a view of anything other than a wall with a mural painted on it. On top of that our shower also didn’t work. Would not really recommend unless it’s your last option. On the plus size the hotel was within walking distance of many fun places to go and was less than 5 minutes from Niagara Falls!

We just had a pleasant experience at this hotel. Super close of the Niagara Falls, walking distance of the park, restaurants, etc. Many amenities in it. The lack of the star is because elevator kept getting stuck. Other than that, it was great.

Rooms are clean. But the front desk is extremely rude. All 3 women I encountered at the desk were very rude. They had a stand with amenities next to the desk and and act like it’s extremely inconvenient for you to purchase anything. Not to mention they charge a ridiculous amount for each item. Yet it inconveniences them for you to buy there outrages products apparently. Not impressed with the staff. Room services was extremely kind. Front desk not at all.

Very nice hotel. However when asked for a Handicap room, they had none. Asked for a shower chair. They had none. Asked for a 1st floor close to an elevator, I got 5th floor pretty close to an elevator. The room was very nice, however pretty small when you have to fit a scooter in there and parking it close to a electrical outlet was a chore. The nightstand lamp has 2 power outlets on it. Nice idea for phone charging HOWEVER, when you turn the light off, the outlets turn off also. So you wake up to a non charged phone. Their bathrooms are gorgeous!! However, the toilet was so close to the floor. I had to fall backwards and hope that I landed on the toilet. Being a Handicap person, the most important thing to me is a shower chair. They could not offer me one of those. Their bathtubs have NO appliques to keep your feet from sliding and the tub drain was very slow. This makes bathing very challenging. The bed, very comfy but definitely needs to be turned. It was very hard to get into, had to climb up hill to keep from rolling out. Very nice lobby. There is a cornhole game as well as a massage chair, all very close to the restaurant/bar and pool. The hotel itself does not offer a breakfast. Disappointing for a big name hotel. They do mention that the restaurant serves breakfast for a charge. The pool was beautiful but definitely not Handicap/elderly accessible. There were ladders, to get in and out but no stairs to make it easy to get in and out of. And the water was FREEZING cold. Very disappointing for a big chain hotel. The cleaning crew emptied the trash can we set outside the room but did not put a liner back in the can. Kind of strange. The customer service people were very nice. The furniture in the lobby was beautiful and I LOVE the colors. This Holiday was fantastic if you are a normal functioning person. Not very handicap/elderly friendly. This hotel is a nice walking distance from Maid of the Mist & Wind of the Cave as well as downtown Niagara Falls.

The Anchor Bar is attached and they share a public bathroom that appears to belong to the hotel. At the end of our meal, I needed to use the bathroom... I really wish I didn't. The men's bathroom was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! 😡 The urinal had a 2'+ foot circle of urine around it and then up the wall. Had to stand back 3' because of the urine puddle in front of it. Would have tried the stall, but it was in use. NO paper towels in any of the 2-or-3 units. Door trim was falling off... if there'd been flickering lights, I would have thought I was going to be murdered like in a horror flick. COME ON... KEEP YOU BATHROOMS CLEAN🚨

A decent hotel with great front desk staff and nice views the fireworks the falls in a great location, but total experience falls flat because the devil is in the details: Overall very clean rooms, comfortable beds, and good service, so kudos for that, but the small things are neglected often enough to add up. Only one guest washer and dryer for 150+ rooms and it was broken, so... no personal laundry. No microwave in room and although Internet listings say microwaves available for rent, none were available when we checked in. Vent fan in bathroom didn't work so showers left the bathroom in a very foggy state. A good hotel, but details are neglected.

Wife and I were in town because of a funeral unfortunately, but stopped to see the falls for a night before heading home. The hotel was super clean, we had a room on the 7th floor that faced the falls so we could see it lit up at night. The rates were reasonable, and staff was friendly. Hotel was located within walking distance to the falls and some local coffee shops, and within driving distance to the griffon gastropub which we found and was AWESOME to eat at for dinner as well. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the falls.

The staff and reception were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean - which says a lot, considering I'm somewhat of a neat freak/germaophobe.The room had been updated and included a mini fridge(hard to come by nowadays) and a nice bathroom. The bed, sheets, and pillows I found to be very comfortable and I really liked the complimentary tamper-proof dispensers filled with Dove soaps and lotions which all smelt wonderful. One of the best stays I've had at a hotel in a long time - would recommend!

The rooms were clean, it's close enough to a lot of tourist spots and stores. The pool although not deep still enjoyable and we'll maintained. They also have a small gym if you don't want to miss your workout even while in vacation.

So Tony. Where to begin? We arrived at the Falls on a Monday evening and were hoping to check out the lit-up falls at night, but spent about 40 minutes driving in circles trying to find our way to no avail. We eventually stopped at the Holiday Inn to ask for directions. Tony not only gave us helpful directions and information, but he bought a water bottle for my pregnant friend! We were finally able to check out the Falls and got some gorgeous pictures. We appreciated Tony's help so much that we went back that night to thank him. Again, he was so helpful and kind. We told him it was my sister's birthday and he not only gave us cookies but he also gave her a bottle of wine!! Needless to say, Tony is the best. If he hasn't gotten a raise recently, he needs to; You've got a fantastic employee on your hands. Definitely one of the BEST front desk hotel employees that I've had the pleasure of interacting with in a long time. Gooo Tony!!! 🥳🎉

Really amazing rates! My husband and I called to reserve a room about 20 minutes from our arrival (it was kinda spontaneous) and the price was less than expected! The location is within walking distance of the Niagara Falls. They also have a nice pool, arcade, and bar and grill in the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here and higly recommend if your visiting the Falls. The staff was also very nice. Only thing is breakfast and parking is not included in your room price. It was 17.00 a day for parking, and breakfast I think was 40.00. We stayed for one night, so parking wasn't a big deal, and we didn't opt in breakfast. We went to the bar and grill for food before we left.

Perfect location. Hotel clerks were nice. Place was clean. Room was clean and stocked with coffee, towels and soaps. Even numbered room on 6th floor with view of the lights on the falls at night and nightly fireworks. Walking distance to falls across the street. Beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. I seen reviews of musty smelling rooms but it is humidity from the falls. Keep fan on all is good.

Stayed here for 3 nights w/ my family of 3 (Wed-Sat). Parking is $17 a night. Check in was quick and easy. We arrived to our room 509 and it was dirty so we returned back downstairs. We were given room 524 which was perfect. The even number rooms face the Canadian side and the view is beautiful (you are able to see the fireworks in the summer at night on the 5th floor & above). The room was spacious, clean and everything worked well. I have zero complaints with the room or hotel. There is an anchor bar attached to the hotel, there is a heated indoor pool, they have games set up around the first floor and plenty of seating. Breakfast at the restaurant is buffet style for $18. They sell local wine at the front desk for $20. The best part is the hotel is a block away from the state park and about 3-4 blocks away from the rainbow bridge. Overall this place is family friendly, reasonably priced and located perfectly.

Stayed 2 nights. A fairly convenient location close to the falls, Cave of the Winds and Maid of the Mist attractions. Comfy rooms but eat somewhere besides the Anchor Bar and Grill. Limited menu, insanely slow food service, but good bar service.

The rooms are worn and dated. This is the second Holiday Inn that I stayed recently that does not have a microwave in the room, considering I paid 400+ a day (weekend) including taxes and parking. I was very disappointed. I understand that the hotel is probably busy only in the Summertime but the hotel should provide some value for Customers. Forget about buying anything from their store as the staff are always busy and you have to wait a while to pay for the items. Only thing going for this hotel is it is conveniently located near the Niagara Falls.

The hotel needs some elbow grease. Employees smoking out front to greet you. Bugs flying in and out of the lobby at night. The elevators are dirty and smelly. I doubt they’ve wiped down these elevators in years. The room tvs are out dated and old. The beds are comfortable and pillows. Good size refrigerator in the room but no microwave. The shower worked good and the hot water was excellent. The hallway smelled a little like a mix of smoke and marijuana 4th floor. The anchor bar had a 2 hour wait we never even tried to eat there. We did manage to order DoorDash after our long drive up which was nice but they forgot the plastic ware and the front desk had no one there for 10 minutes so I gave up waiting. The anchor bar did have extra plastic ware thankfully. It’s walking distance to the falls but your better off staying further away and driving. They charge for parking at the hotel for guests $20 a night extra. If we could go back and stay somewhere else especially for what it cost we would of.

An older property. Some of the friendliest staff of any hotel I have ever stayed at. My biggest disappointments during my stay were that the bathtub did not have a drain plug by design so taking a bath was not possible and the breakfast required being a gold member and was very limited especially if you don't like biscuits with eggs. I opted to go to McDonald's instead. The coffee in the room was good but the coffee in the lobby tasted like instant coffee. I would stay at this hotel only as a last resort.

  • 5/5 Leslie M. 2 years ago on Google
Staff were polite. Located very near Niagara Falls which was awesome. Hotel was very nice and clean. The pool is uniquely placed. The room was really nice and clean. We got stuck staying another night because of the snow/ice storm. The staff was very accommodating and gave me a good rate for the room we were in.
