Absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend riding the elevator to the bottom. You can get right up to the water. It's free to park and free to go down. Also, right next to the aquarium.

Amazing hike close to the Niagra River, right next to the whirlpool bridge which takes you to Canada. This bridge was also famous for the slaves from African-American community crossing over to Canada for their freedom via the rail; their journey upclose gives you a sense of how they must have felt at that time. Harriet Tubman was the lady responsible for countless people's freedom.

Now this was nice, but a little disappointing since the trail is closed due to unsafe passage. There is a bike trail that can be walked along the river but views are disrupted because of trees and landscape. It's pretty, don't take that away from it, but it could've been better if we were able to walk the historic trail.

One of the greatest and longest trail in Niagara Falls that will give you a real taste of life in the wilderness. The peace and relaxation of this park is amazingly unbelievable. Spend a day enjoying the view of the great Niagara Gorge and enjoy the sound of nature away from civilization. Highly recommended to true hikers and family who wants to give their children an educational approach to nature. But careful: small snakes, foxes, and poison ivy plants were visible in the area, although no harm came from them.

Great stone steps access down to the water below the two Whirlpool Bridges (old unused and new). Great views from below of the gorge and gets you close to the water. Watch out for the deer poop.

Amazing trail with amazing history! A railcar used to run on the trail in the early 1900's so tourists could see the whirlpool and gorge!

Awesome views of the falls (from a distance), part of the trail was closed down because of 'hazardous conditions', but still very nice paths and other parts of the trail are open.

Nice asphalt trail, especially since they removed they parkway and upgraded the trail. Usually start bike ride at park near the Grand Island bridge and ride up to Whirlpool Park and back. Can be a bit busy near the Falls.

I remember the days of My Youth in the 1960’s before they had a stairway here, there was an old steel cable from the original railroad bridge where us youth would repel down to the first dirt trail and walk the old trails to a big rock that was called Butterfly Rock that had a tree with a swinging rope on it where those that were brave swimmers would swing out and jump off that rope into an eddy to swim (not Me I’m still a non swimmer) but the State of NY cut that Tree Down in the 1990’s
