The 100 loop is lacking in trees and nature. The add should say: tent camp in a soccer field next to a playground. Why so much mowing? Contributing to global warming and the decline of butterflies and bees. I could just mow my lawn and camp at home with more trees and nature. Showers are a bonus but could use a cleaning on the walls and the handicap chair, lots of mold. Don't count on the camp store, it's just not open ever. Nice sunset views at the lake. The camp parking ticket got us parking access at the Niagra falls and the other state park areas like Fort Niagara.

Itโ€™s a such a wonderful campsite. Thereโ€™s some awesome hiking trails near Niagara river as well. Fort Niagara has a pretty cool historical tour. Definitely an experience I will never forget! ๏ผˆโ•นโ—กโ•น๏ผ‰โ™ก๐Ÿ’–

Best campground on our trip!! Would stay here again and highly recommend to others. Great price, very large spots, not over run by rowdiness. Mostly families and older folks. Clean bathrooms and super nice ladies in the office. I love that near sunset time everyone brings their chairs to the overlook area to watch the sunset and we all cheer when the sun goes down. Most amazing views!! All paved roads. Wonderful area to walk. They even mow paths in the wild grass area and there are trails thru the woods. I highly enjoyed hikes here!! There is a camp store, Open pretty limited hours. Not far to many local attractions. Totally worth staying here for peace and quiet!!

Beautiful park on the lake. A great place to watch the sunset on the water, and apparently you can watch the sunrise on the water from the other side of the park but i wasn't out that early. The woman in the camp office gave great advice on things to do in the area. We stayed in a yurt, which was nice, clean, air conditioned, and had a fridge and microwave. One word of warning, dont expect to have mobile internet or phone service. It is very hit and miss. Do your planning before you get to the park or expect to take a drive (or walk around the park and hope to get lucky), if you want to search the internet or even make a call. There are pay phones but they were not hooked up when we were there. I think there is an emergency phone on the outside of the office, but don't quote me on that.

Nice State Park for Camping. Very quite and nice trails and easy to walk. Great view of Lake Ontario and Canada on a clear day. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Hope to come back next year.

The view of Lake Ontario and the Canadian skyline was beautiful from our site. Clean bathrooms and showers, friendly and helpful staff! The have some electric sites along the lake, potable water is along the road at three locations prior to setting up at your site.

Beautiful but Crowded Campground. We stayed in 271 for 2 days and it was just perfect. We had trees on our campsite(which we checked on google map before booking). Washrooms are pretty clean. Hot water is available. We took a dip in Lake Ontario as well while watching the beautiful sunset. Sunset point is behind washroom of 100 loop. We left our tent and beds at the site while exploring the place and it was there when we came back. So its safe to leave behind your stuff. Surely staying here whenever visiting niagara.

I love camping here! Some sites are somewhat private & spacious, while others are open & close together. Some are shady while others are not. The grass was cut short. I stayed in the 200โ€™s and had a semi-private & level electric site. No skunks to be seen. The facilities were clean. The sunsets are amazing! Everyone gathers in the field to watch. On a clear day, you can see the Toronto skyline! I will definitely camp here again!

Really excellent campground with wonderful views. The lake breeze was perfect for sleeping on a hot summer night. Camp sites are generously large and amenities were in great, clean shape. I drained my car battery (twice!!) and got a jump-start from the friendly park staff each time. Our family will definitely be coming back here!

Stayed on site 224 overlooking the lake. Beautiful sunset, huge site. A little far from the bathrooms but a quick bike ride away.

This was our first time at this campground. We absolutely loved it, can't say anything negative at all. Beautiful impeccably clean grounds, great views of the lake, friendly staff, awesome playground for the kids. We loved our time. It was a pleasant change from the resort type campgrounds we usually stay at with our trailer. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for low key place to camp near Niagara.

Nice park, very clean bathrooms and showers. Great sunset view every night and the camp store is awesome. Only down sides are how close the sites are and the skunks in the area are pretty friendly.

Clean and well maintained. Very small beach but amazing views. Don't miss the Sunset. Book early. For some reason they book for 2 days minimum and need Paper Rabies Vaccination proof for the entry of your fur babies. The Welcome Centre has amazing people and Park rangers keep this place well monitored.

Beautiful, peaceful, and surprisingly large camp sites for a great price! Absolutely LOVED our stay here. The camp lots are bigger than I have ever seen. Even as it got to the weekend and we had neighbors, we were able to spread out and not be on top of each other. Actually the first time I have ever felt comfortable and safe enough to allow my 6yr old to use the restroom alone and play on the playground while I used the restroom (right across the back drive). So much room to run and play. Large playground for groups to play and not run over smaller kids. Such a beautiful sound of birds all over the place. Even the water front was nice ***warning no swimming access on site. There is a pool at the old fort. There is a free bus to it as well. Suggestions: PLEASE update shower houses. Women's bathrooms and bath halls NEED some fixing.

This is a huge campground! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ. It's too big to walk.๐ŸšถDefinitely need a bicycle๐Ÿšด or a scooter. Speaking of walking. There's a lot of walking across and between campsites in this park ๐Ÿ™ˆ. (in the first section with the lower numbers) I see people towing their trailers around this section at a pretty good clip ๐Ÿคจ. Traffic is not one way in this park. Being from Florida we always did make fun of New York drivers but apparently they don't drive any differently when they're towing...๐Ÿซข I don't see any golf carts in this campground. Perhaps they are not allowed. ๐Ÿค” The first loop (low #'s) is more open and the sites are closer together. The other loop is like a completely different neighborhood with more secluded sites. Many of the sites do not have electric and I see big campers in some of them with generators because they are such choice locationsโ˜‘๏ธ This campground is very noisy! And it's not really the kids like you would expect. It's more like noisy parents. Lots of slamming doors (cars, storage compartments, camper door) and people coming and going even as late as midnight! As I write this right now I was asleep earlier until the neighbors woke me up. They're just talking like it's 4:00 in the afternoon but it's 12:15 a.m. ๐Ÿ™‰๐ŸฅฑSo this is not the place to stay, at least not in the first loop. If you're looking for seclusion ๐Ÿ™ˆ and quiet๐Ÿ™‰

This is one of if not the best campground we have stayed at. It Is quite. Spots are big. Lots of open spaces. Great place to stay. Half hour drive to falls. But worth it.

Beautiful campground. Site 252 has access to a very nice overlook and not far from the bathroom. Very spaced out, clean bathrooms, no one bothers you and level sites. Small camp store. So close to Niagara as well. Definitely recommend for a getaway.

We absolutely loved our time here. It was actually our first time to stay at a State Park, so all others will definitely have something to live up too! The sunsets over Lake Ontario were spectacular and the lake as a backdrop was pretty nice. Itโ€™s a great โ€˜home baseโ€™ to launch from if youโ€™re in the area to go visit any of the local sites and especially Niagara Falls. The weather was pretty perfect most days, but did get a bit warmer on a couple of them, so having a 30amp electric site was nice. Everyone we met here was super friendly and it was an all around enjoyable stay.

Stayed on two different sites, both were level side to side and much larger than any other NY state park we've stayed at. While none if the sites are private, site 206 had excellent shade. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest, but we only used them for showers. Beautiful sunsets over Lake Ontario. There is a rocky beach you can swim in 25m away at Wilson Tuscarora SP (free admission 2021) or paid swimming pool at Fort Niagara SP which we decided wasn't worth it. Free parking to all other SP through duration of stay. Will definitely stay here again to visit the area.

Beautiful and friendly. Right on the Lake, with some great views. Close to Niagara Falls and get to enter for free with the Park Pass you purchase to stay here. Best campground pizza ever! The staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a spacious and open park with a amazing view of Lake Ontario, and you can see Toronto across the lake. The showers are nice and clean, as is pretty much everything about this park. There is electric at quite a few sites which is nice. Located very close to Fort Niagara, and you can get free parking on Goat Island if you tell them you're camping here.

We camped at Four Mile for the 4th of July in the 200 loop. The park was in immaculate condition. The rangers and registration staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We were also impressed that there is a free Visit Niagara shuttle stop at the park that allows you to visit other landmarks in the Youngstown and Lewiston area! The camp store has necessary essentials - especially popsicles for the kids! The sites facing the water have spectacular sunsets. Highly recommend.

Overall, nice park. Reservations up to 9 months in advance is great. Big parking spots too. Be sure to reserve by the lake-WOW! Also be sure to fill with water before you park. FMC is Close to a lot of things to do. Only complaint is the substantial amount of people with dogs that just sit there and bark all day at each other and the amt of smoke that lingers forever in the campground because everyone has to have a raging fire at night; but thatโ€™s out of the parks control.

Wonderful place to camp as sites have enough space. The restrooms and showers are clean and you can get hot water. Be aware that no sites have dedicated water or sewer.

Awesome, well maintained park on the edge of Lake Ontario. Large grass areas, clean bathrooms & showers with large outside sinks. Swimming pool at nearby park and the whole of Lake Ontario to swim in. Close to Niagara Falls with a free trolley bus to all the near by sites. #1 park.

Beautiful campground, lots of room to spread out and some sites have views of the water. Saw a picnic shelter down by the water. Close to Niagara falls with a Free weekend shuttle

Very friendly staff at check in. I camped with a tent. My site felt big and my neighbors were close but not invasively close. Restrooms were clean and showers were big enough to move in with a bench to set your stuff down. I stayed 3 nights and saw campsite rangers and local police patrol through regularly.
