Most of the nurses and aids have horrible attitudes. Don't even know why they`re in this profession. There`s only a hand full that are great and enjoy what they do. I feel bad that they have to work with them evil co workers and their bad attitudes.

If your relative is on a ventilator and needs this level of care, look elsewhere!! Family communication was at a bare minimum, some of the staff were ok, but the aides in the vent unit were awful. Rude and nasty about sums it up. I complained and was reminded that they are unionized, so there is not much to be done. This is NOT the place for your loved one.

I worked as a nurse at this facility for a half a year. The facility is great some nice nurses and aids but a few who are out of control. As a nurse you learn so many things at this facility. The annoying thing is when people who are always shouting at the residents get selected as the employee of the month.

relevant background info\; I had a stroke on 1/23/21 which affected my speech (& since cleared up) and cause muscles on my right side to be either weakened or paralyzed. As such I primarily use a wheelchair now for mobility. Cognitively I'm unaffected. No dementia or other issues I absolutely hate it here. I am made to feel no better than an inmate at the Erie County Hold Center in the sense that I'm prevented to leave the premises for anything than for medical issues. I have stated repeatedly to staff that I wish to do some basic stuff for myself - which I am capable of - such as going to a store to buy food/snacks or go to the bank that I do business with to conduct my own business. They adamantly refuse. Furthermore they stated that should I attempt to do such things I'd be barred from reentry. While, yes, I do need some assistance with certain things as a result of the stroke, my going out to conduct business of 1 form or another does not pose danger to myself or to others, and the mere fact that I myself called 911 to get myself to the hospital as I was having my stroke demonstrates that I can easily handle my own medical emergencies. I have every right to go out and about and by virtue of the fact that staff here is refusing and threatening retaliation they are violating Federal and NYS law. I'm made to feel no better than an inmate at Erie County Holding Center with the only difference being that I'm not forced to wear all orange and there's no threat of guards beating me here. Some staff here are fine and seem to be good at tbeit job. There's also some that have horrible attitudes, are rude, and I dred being around. Folks, DO NOT lace your family here. Frankly, they'd be better off homeless, under an overpass with a shopping cart. Don't walk away from this place - run away.

The staff is so friendly and the facility is super clean. I was very nervous for my grandmother to come here after a horrible experience at another nursing/rehabilitation facility. I was pleasantly surprised on how nice this facility is. I would recommend anyone to bring their loved one here and be confident in their care.

This place is funky smelling!! Walking down the hallways they smell like elephant piss! This is ridiculous , disgusting, and disrespectful to the residents!! The 2nd floor staff is noisy with nasty attitudes. Don’t send your people here ever try and find an agency so you can keep your love one’s home where it’s safe and protected.

I'm just reviewing high point because my sister boyfriend mother had the worst care possible there. They left her C-PAP mask off at night which lead to her having less oxygen in her brain. I would Never send my loved ones here. The 5 star ratings are probably lying and they probably work there. Don't trust them. They need to be investigated and closed down! !

Today I called 16 times to the floor my sister is on. From 11AM till 6 PM. Just trying to see how sister is doing. I know they are short handed but 16 calls?

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 There is no valid reason, in of course my opinion, why High Pointe has such a low rating! I came here for rehabilitation and the staff, each one of them that I have had the pleasure of working with are beautiful people. The food is the best "hospital" food I have ever had! I am truly greatful to have had the pleasure of meeting and working with such caring people, especially during these hateful, and uncaring times! Thank you to all the first floor staff and to Connor, an exceptional young supervisor! 😊🌟

A difficult admission of my mother, for several reasons, was handled wonderfully by the staff on duty, including the unit manager, nursing supervisor, administrative assistant, assistant director of nursing, director of nursing, and security. Thank you all very much.

SOME OF THE WORKER'S. Are nasty to the Residence and the family. I have seen it 1st hand. Hope to get my dad out of here soon. 🙏🏾 the hall ways small so bad. My dad has smalled bad and I have to ask them to wash him up. They need all new staff.

Security is a nightmare to deal with. No one knows what their doing in security. However the rest of the staff is wonderful and the patient care is amazing.

This place is a joke they should either get a new staff or shut down state funding or shutdown completely .Mistreatment of children. The children are not well taken by staff.Shut them down.I would not even give this place a 3.1 rating I would give them a failing rating.

My mother has been to several rehab facilities over the last 20 years for various ailments / post-ops. Highpointe has 100% surpassed all of them by a LOT! Absolutely wonderful quality of care!! I have always felt that my mom is safe here and surrounded by patient, kind people who provide much more socialization, care, activities and scenery than previous facilities. The rehab program is wonderful and the nurses are attentive to patient and family needs/concerns. My family has felt welcomed by all every single time we are there. I only have great things to say ❤️

I could not say enough to convey the awesome treatment my mother in law received here. The care provided, and the caring of employees was amazing. This is the second facility we used and the difference was simply amazing. The entire staff was amazing, attentive, and caring.

This facility has done nothing but make my mother worse in the yr that she has been there Falling because they leave her in her room without call light if she has to use the restroom she tries herself cause they don't make it where she can receive/or ask for help . The other night they sent mom to hospital with false reading hospital said mom was fine. I called the facility to see if the night nurses was a regular or a fill in Supervisor and Nurse Stephanie M. (11pm-7am)Was rude the whole time. Talk to Supervisor like maybe the equipment need to be replaced or whatever she gave nothing but Attitude and told me she did not have time to talk to me about my mother and that she was going to start her rounds and hang up on me. I walked around from the hospital to the facility which took 2 minutes and when I got to the facility nurse Stephanie M.and the supervisor was sitting there. Cackling like they had tea and cookies talking about thier personal life . When they finally Acknowledge me I stated "yall said 2mins ago yall was busy" the Supervisor Immediately hopped up stating "she was busy she busy she busy" but clearly was just sitting down having a merry good time talkin bout other things but now yall so busy. THEY NEED TO RETIRE IF THEY DONT HAVE TIME TO DO THEIR JOBS CORRECTLY.

I've been in for 2 weeks the best treatment ever got out of all rehab homes my meds are on time my food my care my treatment all the nurses AIDS are so nice it's so clean here it's the best place that I've been and I suggested to anybody
