background

I
had
a
stroke
on
1/23/21
which
affected
my
speech
(&
since
cleared
up)
and
cause
muscles
on
my
right
side
to
be
either
weakened
or
paralyzed.
As
such
I
primarily
use
a
wheelchair
now
for
mobility.
Cognitively
I'm
unaffected.
No
dementia
or
other
issues
I
absolutely
hate
it
here.
I
am
made
to
feel
no
better
than
an
inmate
at
the
Erie
County
Hold
Center
in
the
sense
that
I'm
prevented
to
leave
the
premises
for
anything
than
for
medical
issues.
I
have
stated
repeatedly
to
staff
that
I
wish
to
do
some
basic
stuff
for
myself
-
which
I
am
capable
of
-
such
as
going
to
a
store
to
buy
food/snacks
or
go
to
the
bank
that
I
do
business
with
to
conduct
my
own
business.
They
adamantly
refuse.
Furthermore
they
stated
that
should
I
attempt
to
do
such
things
I'd
be
barred
from
reentry.
While,
yes,
I
do
need
some
assistance
with
certain
things
as
a
result
of
the
stroke,
my
going
out
to
conduct
business
of
1
form
or
another
does
not
pose
danger
to
myself
or
to
others,
and
the
mere
fact
that
I
myself
called
911
to
get
myself
to
the
hospital
as
I
was
having
my
stroke
demonstrates
that
I
can
easily
handle
my
own
medical
emergencies.
I
have
every
right
to
go
out
and
about
and
by
virtue
of
the
fact
that
staff
here
is
refusing
and
threatening
retaliation
they
are
violating
Federal
and
NYS
law.
I'm
made
to
feel
no
better
than
an
inmate
at
Erie
County
Holding
Center
with
the
only
difference
being
that
I'm
not
forced
to
wear
all
orange
and
there's
no
threat
of
guards
beating
me
here.
Some
staff
here
are
fine
and
seem
to
be
good
at
tbeit
job.
There's
also
some
that
have
horrible
attitudes,
are
rude,
and
I
dred
being
around.
Folks,
DO
NOT
lace
your
family
here.
Frankly,
they'd
be
better
off
homeless,
under
an
overpass
with
a
shopping
cart.
Don't
walk
away
from
this
place
-
run
away.
